When you stay at Maui Palms in Korolevu, you'll be near the beach and 14 minutes by car from Namatakula Beach. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: I don't write reviews for places I stay at but in this case I had too. Staying at the Maui Palms resort is an experience I will never forget. The atmosphere is amazing, the staff are exceptional, the food was great and facilities were good. The staff always fulfilled our needs at any time of the day, they treated us like family. One staff member, Who's name is "Mani" went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. If You need a place to switch off and relax this is where you stay. I loved everything about this trip.
Pros: It was very family friendly and accorded us the privacy we needed and enjoy the beach without being over crowded.
Cons: Their hot bath was not working and it was one thing we were looking forward to enjoying.
Pros: The food was really good. The massive bath tub was very relaxing. Loved the DVD collection. Staff were very friendly. Slept great.
Pros: The rooms, the atmosphere and not too busy hotel
Cons: No coffee in the restaurant for breakfast!
Pros: Delightful property, amazing view from the villa on to a beautiful pool area and the beach. The room was very spacious with a comfortable bed and an enormous bathtub and a double rainfall shower. The food served is the best I have received in the 6 weeks I have spent in Fiji now. Good cocktails too and always served with a smile by the wonderful staff.
Cons: Unfortunately the water temperature in our bath and shower was a little temperamental resulting in a cold shower and difficulty heating the bath the previous night
Pros: I loved that it was quiet. No kids running around. The staff knew my name from day one. Each day they all spoke to the guests. This is not the place for you if you want rowdy party crowds. It is a reflective place.
Cons: I loved everything.
Pros: Staff and rooms
Cons: Internet did not work well
Pros: Right in front of the clear blue ocean and amazing staff!
Pros: A tranquil boutique hotel on the coral coast which we loved! The staff were the friendliest people I’ve met across any hotel in the world and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and organized tours etc. effortlessly. The room was great with a magnificent view of the coral reef and ocean beyond. Would highly recommend staying here for a chilled stop in Fiji.
Pros: Staff extremely helpful, they all knew your name and welcomed you each day. Meals were great (but a little pricy), which included a traditional Fijian Lovo (underground cooking) and a Kava ceremony on the Friday night (not to be missed). While we stayed in both beach front and garden view. The garden view villas' are more luxurious, but I recommend paying that little bit more for the beach front villa, waking up and having breakfast outside your front door overlooking the ocean is worth every cent. Not child friendly but for a romantic and quite holiday I highly recommend. Last point, there has been some negative comments on reviews about WIFI, I found the WIFI fantastic. Spoke to the owner about this. He indicated that they had put a fiber connection in recently, and since they had, had no complaints. So 5/5 for the WIFI
Cons: A couple of small issues (that being said, would not stop me from coming back). The issues were; The TV was only connected to a DVD player (No TV channels, this is not clear in there advertising of the property). Not there to watch TV, but it is nice a distraction late at night or when it was raining. Also the one night we decided to use the TV for a DVD, neither the remotes worked. Oh yea (don't ask for a cappuccino) as all they give you is a coffee from a Nespresso machine. If you want a cappuccino, walk across the road to the Gazebo restaurant, cappuccino not bad.
Beachouse is located on the main island of Viti Levu in an 8-hectare coconut plantation that is bordered by a secluded white sandy beach.
Pros: The location is ideal; in this way it is much better than other hostels. Also the social environment trumps other hostels. It is very easy to meet make friends.
Pros: It’s awesome. Fave place .
Pros: Beautiful beach, great staff, good food, great vibe! It’s a very happy place to stay. The rooms are simple but comfortable.
Pros: People were friendly, helpful and attentive. Fresh fish on the menu was delicious.
Cons: Menu: more of a variety of dishes. I would like to try Fijian food.
Pros: Friendly staff Has everything for family’s, as well as backpackers Relaxing and fun Situated in a beautiful location with picturesque views
Cons: That I couldn’t stay for longer
Pros: This was a great stop on our trip. It was a really pretty place to stay with plenty to do. We had a surf lesson during our stay, it seemed to be the cheapest place to do it. Annoyingly we had a really bad current the day we was their and didn’t really get much of a lesson. If your going to pay for it, check the conditions first. The staff was very friendly and we had great time. They have yoga daily which was a great addition.
Cons: The room was nice and clean, although wasn’t cleaned the second day. The bathroom was half outside which wasn’t great as it allowed alot of bugs to get, specially over night. There restaurant didn’t have a huge menu, and their isn’t much else around.
Cons: No hot water in the room.
Pros: Amazing crew of staff running the place owner is fabulous and has an epic team of staff which always makes a place special. Beautiful location great food - easy to get to and Gavin on emails is awesome at answering questions prior to arrival :) all round couldn’t recommend the beach house enough ! Thanks for having me crew x
Pros: Location was great. Relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Good cocktails!
Cons: Small things ie, No flannels provided. Pillow and stained pillow case needed replacing which was done immediately but overall not anything to dislike.
Pros: The beach was close and good for activities. The atmosphere was relaxing and safe for the grandchildren. The meals were great and tasty and good value for money. There is plenty of area to lounge and have privacy if you want it..
Cons: The plumbing needs an upgrade and more servicing to the toilets near the main recreation area. The rooms could do with some renovation.
With a stay at Wellesley Resort in Namaqumaqua, you'll be on the waterfront, and 5.7 mi (9.1 km) from Vunanui Bay and 7.2 mi (11.5 km) from Namatakula Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Pros: Mary was the best host. The beds were super comfy!
Pros: Views, delicious food, great and helpful staff.
Pros: Idyllic surrounds, beautiful beach, excellent facilities. Everywhere was spotless clean. Staff were excellent. Super friendly and helpful - all of them and Mere is a great leader to them all. Food amazing. Just paradise!
Pros: The Wellesley was amazing, we could not rate this resort more highly. If you are looking for an intimate, secluded resort on the Coral Coast, then look no further. The staff were welcoming and accommodating - they would go above and beyond to meet your requests. The rooms were well-sized and comfortable. The resort offered free use of kayaks and snorkelling gear. We felt like we were in the jungle and after following the footpath, arrived at a secluded beach. This was a great stay for our honeymoon and we will definitely return.
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful- especially the man who took us on hikes.
Cons: When I booked I received an email from the resort saying I was entitled to a 30-minute complimentary massage as well as a meal voucher which I did not receive. Breakfast menu options were also sometimes inconsistent- some guests were offered hot breakfast options while others weren't.
Pros: It was just perfect! Loved the location, the beach, the caring and lovely staff. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The food at the restaurant was delicious. Mere, the manager is a jewel, as well as Se Combe and Mariane.
Pros: This accommodation is located in a rural location that is forest/beach front. The resort is secluded, with the villas nestled amongst well maintained gardens. Our room was located approx 100 metre walk to the beach, where there are deck chairs and kayaks available for people to use. There was also a good number of snorkels and Finns available for exploring the reef. We would suggest you bring your own water shoes. The beach front is amazing compared to some of the other surrounding resorts. The lagoon is just beautiful, shallow and so green! There is plenty of fish, coral and blue star fish that can be found while exploring the lagoon. There are also 5 giant clams that you can see if lucky. We had our own private pool and this was such a valuable upgrade. The staff are really friendly and as there are only 15 rooms at this resort, it is a very personalised experience. Would definitely stay here again!
Cons: The property is very secluded, with the closest town being 45 minute drive. This suited us well as we just wanted a week to relax, however it is important to understand for those who would be wanting to travel around. Transport can be arranged at a cost. One thing we found difficult was that because of the secluded nature of the resort, when certain ingredients run out at the restaurant, they are out of that ingredient for days at a time. The resort ran out of mint the first few days of our stay and this was not replenished for the remainder of the week. There were also some struggles with catering to fructose allergies, however they they did the best they could and we just had to check the ingredients of the foods.
Pros: The beach
Cons: Food / facilities in bathroom are very hold / beds with a lot of insects / the breakfast is included but every day it’s the same / cocktail not god at all / the cleaning of the towels is not done everyday
Pros: Lovely hideaway.. Well of the main road and on the beach.. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms... Friendly and helpful staff.. Great food Thank you
Pros: The flora surrounding the whole resort, peaceful and easy excess to the beach.
Cons: ●The unpaved road..especially towards the final journey before getting to the resort. ●due to the recent big storm, there aren't many corals / fish.
Located in Deuba, Waidroka Bay Resort is a 1-minute drive from Waidroka Bay Dock and 11 minutes from Vunanui Bay. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
Pros: Staff welcomes us with a meal after day of travelling.
Cons: Charged us just to take us up to road with muddy track to meet driver should be guest courtesy, over rated poor quality, not worth ocean view room charges, not refundable, wouldn’t recommend.
Pros: Lovely setting but rooms were tired. Staff were amazing and we feel like we saw the real Fiji. We dont surf or dive but managed to fill in our week with a few local tours. Getting fresh coconuts from the trees was a highlight.
Cons: High cost of lunches and taxis in and out of resort. Cold showers.
Pros: Bed wasn’t comfortable. Food was good. Access to surf breaks was excellent. Pool was cold on cool days. Very friendly staff made the place.
Pros: good food the home made bread they served with dinner could be served for breakfast
Cons: The food was very ordinary the place is very tired
Pros: The cabin. The management and staff.
Cons: Tv in the room. Water supply that doesn’t turn brown when it rains. Real milk in the fridge. Stocked mini bar in the room Only had dinner once. But it was not a good experience. Fish in coconut. First time it was stone cold (and over cooked). Second time hot and over cooked). Fish dishes on an island should be exceptional.
Pros: Amazing Staff. Tasty Food. Comfortable and clean rooms. Excellent Diving. (Shark dive was a once in a lifetime experience). Very professional dive school and Christine was one of the best dive instructors I have seen (and I have seen a lot)
Cons: Not much.
Pros: Lovely staff, good reasonably priced meals
Cons: 4 star priced for 3 star facility. Probably great location for divers and surfers but if you don’t plan to use these options you’d probably prefer stay elsewhere. Long dirt road in the really needs a 4WD
Pros: Great Food Very friendly staff A little gem on the Coral Coast
Pros: The staff was excellent. Ellie, one of the staff there, taught us some Fijian language and took us on a plant walk around the resort. The food was excellent. I'm an ovo-vegetarian with a dairy allergy and they catered to my needs and made me awesome meals. The room was very cute and set the tropical scene well.
Cons: Perhaps this is my fault and I didn't research the resort well enough, but unless you are a diver or surfer, there wasn't much to do. It was very isolated and was located down a rough 4K dirty road (that we bottomed out on in our rental car) with no trails and no beach. There were kayaks we could have taken out, but due to the rain we ended up spending a day just hanging out. We did leave to go to Suva (1.5 hrs away) and see some sights there. Also, I felt like the place was a little run down. Perhaps it's just due to being offish season? Mildew was on some of the outdoor furniture. I got some on some of my clothing. So, if you are looking for a place to snorkel, walk on the beach, etc, perhaps looks elsewhere. If you want to dive or surf, this place is probably perfect for you.
