Restaurant, the service is excellent. everything was excellent
Reception staff was helpful. Wi-fi, which one must pay for, only works in the lobby. It does not work in the rooms.
Breakfast buffet The reception staff could have been more helpful
The reception, the parking, the breakfast non so fast, the environment non too far, the bar. So, just one night because it was full
Beatifull view from hotel room; very good swimming pool; international guests; comfortable location if you have rented car. some may dislike conferences (like pentecost, etc.) and "diamond" colonies like Gana, etc.
good parking --- good breakfast and snack bar . clean . not much more good to say about it main retaurant evening meal appauling --- no ice --- no toiletries in room --- some of staff very rude and unobliging --- never saw a clean tablecloth --- location a long way from town --- dead area
Friendly service Generally run down and old-fashioned and on-going renovation caused noise and paint smell; not easy to get in to Jerusalem
The locations is quite suboptimal for anything tourism related, but taxies are quite cheap (and there also seems to be a hotel bus to the center of the city).
Reasonably priced and clean; good breakfast Big climb to bus route or you have to use taxis if you have no car
Staff was extremely helpful. Hotel provided good value for money. Breakfast food could have been better
We were very fortunate to obtain an upgrade to a suite as a result of not having the room we booked upon our arrival. We therefore obtained a very expensive room at the booking.com price, which already was well below the listed prices for the room. So we had exceptional value that others should not anticipate.
Spacious, clean room. Charming, friendly staff
the suite we stayed in was great the dinner buffet, because it was very loud with all the groups. We were only with the two of us en there was no possibility to have dinner in e more quiet place.
The location was great, reception staff helpful and accommodating. Food was OK but buffet style and situated among several large groups. My recommendation is that the hotel should separate a section for independent guests that is quieter and with easier access to waiters and food. The hotel is obviously geared up to regular large coach groups!!
Very nice and cosy, well located but... see below 1/ I will never understand why this upper category of hotels still offer paying access to internet (and what more, very expensive, 9 USD per hour ?); 2/ while groups are allowed to have breakfast in the beautiful olive hall, individuals are entitled to a great buffet, but in a side salon which has nothing very special
The Hotel offered easy access to all the sights we wanted to see in the Holy Land.
the hotel was primair used by groups of international travellers, the hotel was not connected to individual travellers
The hospitality staff in the kitchen were wonderful. They were very obliging, well mannered and always ready to please. Many of the staff on the reception desk however were not as welcoming. The facilities on the ground floor and below were very good. We felt very uncomfortable in our rooms. The beds were too narrow and every time we pulled the sheets up to be close to out face they would pull from the bottom and come apart. The bottom sheet was not fitted well enough to the bottom mattress. The air-conditioning was also too loud and on 'medium', it felt like it was blowing a gale whereas on 'low' we could barely feel it. I kept waking up during the night with a parched mouth. We were at the Hotel for 5 nights and each night we tried something different but I did not have one good night's sleep during the 5 nights of my stay.
Excellent location and good value for money Charge of USD 7.00 per hour for wi-fi - totally unrealistic and a rip-off.
The hotel and staff were marvelous. It is truly one of the world's great hotels. Channel 1 on the TV is a documentary on the hotel and its history which was very informative about the role of the hotel in the 6 Day War, the peace talks with Sadat, the ousting of the British from Jerusalem. It is also just a short walk to the Jaffa Gate of the Old City. Great place to stay and relax after a hard day of sightseeing, if one can afford it.
Wonderfull mattress, and pillows, excelent air conditioning Room carpets stained, food not international and very limited. Breakfast the worst ever seen at any hotel anywhere.
The hotel is in a great location. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well as knowlegable. The breakfast was always fresh and plentiful.
The staff was corteous and helpful The towels.
good breakfast, front desk hospitality. wi-fi internet connection was chargeable. not acceptable.
Hila at the front desk was exceptionally helpful getting us a hotel reservation at our next stop in Israel going so far as to find details on line and then call the hotel directly to ask questions and verify the details. Neal the bellman was very friendly and helpful. Outstanding view of the Old City out of both the bedroom and bathroom windows! Great breakfast. Shabbat key. Less than 20 minute walk to the Kotel. Carpets should be shampooed.
The bed was excellent, and so was the breakfast The fact that the room does not have an easy chair
clean and nice
Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was delightful. Close to the Old Walled City. Free internet.
I do not think there was anything inparticular that was good about this hotel. Unfriendly/unhelpful staff. The bar staff do not appreciate that white wine should be chilled. Very little natural light in the room. Hotel lacks in atmosphere.
The staff was accomodating; good location for walking to all parts of the city; enjoyed the sun-deck; ; generous breakfasts; entire hotel was non-smoking. The upgrade to a superior room made a big difference in room size.
location, buffet breakfast small and cold bathroom, high price
my experience was a good one at this hotel. the manager and assistant manager are very eager to please. whatever the problem or my request, i had 3 people running to my room trying to make me happy. i recommend this hotel too expensive
the service, the manager and assistant manager are very eager to please. and they did.
The breakfast bar was really nice. Floors were dirty. Didn't provide shampoo, coffee maker, etc that normally is provided in American hotels.
It was in a very beautiful setting with helpful staff.
It is always a delight to stay at the American Colony. There is a wonderful atmosphere, the gardens well planted and tended and the service very good. If I am to be really picky, because I was not well I had a chance to notice the dirty white curtains in room 10. Because of the water shortage, it would be sensible to have a plug in the basin!
the room was amazing, also the food, the service and above all the design
An excellent staff made our stay particularly nice. We made a couple unusual requests and the professional staff at the American Colony stepped up without hesitation to provide for our needs. We hesitated before booking in this location but found it to be very welcoming and comfortable. The breakfast provided was also fantastic and diverse even by Israeli big breakfast standards. Our only less than stellar comment is that the selection of books and literature in the gift/book shop is very one sided and partisan. This shouldn't have been totally surprising but given the excellence and absence of political statements everywhere else it became noticeable. A great hotel.
I enjoyed every aspect of my stay. The staff were, without exception, friendly, welcoming and always ready to help. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The unique nature of the building, and its classic historical decor, make it a welcoming oasis in a busy city. No, I thought it was perfect.
The staff was helpful and friendly. Unique hotel that I would visit again.
The atmosphere and tradition. It is becoming bery expensiev
All of the staff were very nice. The history and architecture of the hotel creates a fabulous ambience. I especially enjoyed the morning buffet in the courtyard. I did not want to leave.
safe, very comfortable, relaxed for female travellers, professional for business. Nothing. I miss "my home" in Jerusalem.
The rooms and architecture. Felt like old Jerusalem vs. modern hotels.
Location is prime (near old city), good picturesque restaurant (Arabesque) and summer bar, nice pool, good choice of TV channels. Good staff albeit sometimes appearing a bit inexperienced. Tapware difficult to moderate (hot/cold, quantity/flow of water), towels not so plush, amenities in the bathroom subpar (smell [like disinfectant], wrapping soulless), business center not open 24/7 as indicated without explicitely having to ask, pool opening hours (only until 18.00).
Very nice hotel. A bit expensive. Great open areas.
The pool and spa facilities Lack of international news channels in the rooms. Location a bit far from town.
The hotel is stylish and has some nice facilities. The beds (two twins pushed together, European budget hotel style) were hard, with a thin mattress on a wooden deck. Not even a box spring. I expect this from youth hostels, not luxury hotels.
Location and spacious lobbies The hotel is terribly mismanaged. There is lots of staff around but many have no clue what they are doing. In fact most of them are nice people trying to be helpful but apparently they get no training. The reception did not know till what time breakfast is served, it took them 10 minutes and re-connecting my call to 3 diferent people to find out - and in the end they still gave me the wrong answer! They could not anwer whether the charge on my credit card will be made in local currency or US dollar. There were two expensive flat screen TVs in our suite and they were not working, it took two days, several calls and several visits of the staff to fix them. Restaurant closes at 9 pm. It's a bad joke.
The hotel has great spaces, good room design, nice range of facilities and has potential but needs a thorough cleaning, servicing and a coat of paint. The hotel has great spaces, good room design, nice range of facilities and has potential but needs a thorough cleaning, servicing and a coat of paint.
Great views of the city from Mount Scopio, spacious lobbies This could be a good hotel, but it is terribly mismanaged. There is lots of staff around but many have no clue what they are doing. In fact most of them are nice people trying to be helpful but apparently they get no training and have no communication/coordination between various departments. The reception did not know till what time breakfast is served, it took them long time to find out - and in the end they still gave me the wrong answer! There is one restaurant but it closes at 9 pm. There is an outdoors swimming pool but it was "closed for the winter" in Nov although it was very hot, 30 degrees C! There were two expensive flat screen TVs in our suite but they were not working, it took the hotel staff long time to fix them.
Great pool area, every common/public area was clean and constantly being kept-up . Staff were super super friendly (especially for Israeli service standards). Great! Dining room on saturday morning - didn't have coffee or hot food
We were there over passover. Very Friendly staff. Food was Excellent. Comfortable room. We were put into a family room, without extra charge, which is a plus, but the family room that we were in shares a balcony with another family room, and people were staying there. It was a bit uncomfortable.
Honestly i didnt like anything about it It Is 40 years old and nothing has been done since than. Furniture is worn our, like everything else. Everything is so old And poorly mantained That It makes you feel depresed. I had ants in my room, which is normal for staff. Dan jerusalem dosent diserve 4 stars maybe 2.
Great contemporary hotel unfortunately due to only recently opening all facilities were not available during our stay. Good location for visiting both old and new city.
The lobby was much too cold. Reception answer in English not Hebrew. the tables in the lobby look nice but very uncomfortable touse. Much too low.
beautiful, modern decor
Conceige services were great rooms were dramatic, but a little small
Beautifully designed and specious rooms, excellent location, walking 2 minutes to amazing old city of Jerusalem, and 5 minutes to lively city center and night life.
Design of hotel and rooms with great location. Staff needs training in breakfast room, including how to make espresso. Spa and pool were not opened.
exceptional food, exceptional interior design and furnishings, excellent location staff not on par with the cutting edge design of the hotel
Two helpful and charming young ladies -- one Polish, one Israeli -- on the service desk who offered helpful recommendations on restaurants and tours. The breakfast buffet provided an excellent selection. The hotel is some 5 minutes walk from the Jaffa Gate into the Old Town, so ideal for visitors wanting to spend time wandering around there. Although our Booking.com reservation said clearly the hotel accepted Diners Club cards, on arrival I was told this was not the case and that nothing could be done but present another card. Some hotel staff seemed almost totally disinterested. Overall, the atmosphere was very impersonal. The room was small and the washbasin area in the bathroom was very cramped with little room to place toilet bags.We certainly did not feel we were in a 5-star hotel.
waiting staff were great its unfinished - ridiculous.
The hotel lends a nice reprieve from a long day of sightseeing and compliments well with the "fairytale-ness" of the city. The breakfast offering is vast and well worth waking up for to have a good kickstart to the day. Although well-designed, the staff and service was not quite up to par and seemed grossly inexperienced for a five-star hotel. They could not think beyond textbook answers to solve problems. With complaints on several occasions, different members of staff did not call back when they said they would get back to you, on things as simple as a wireless password. Front desk was of no help when I tried to extend my stay, and only offered a room in the event I upgraded as they were sold out. However, I managed to get a room on my own online.
Location was superb
The hotel's location is excellent. The breakfast that was included in the room rate was extensive and well prepared. Service was awful. We had to ask for additional towels each day and, when they were brought, they weren't the number or ones we had asked for. Service at breakfast was abymal. We had to continually chase after the waitstaff to bring us coffee and replenish the cup throughout the meal. The room was made up very late in the day. This consisted of a "turn down" which really was not that as the bed was never made earlier. The carpet was filthy, the shower stall was never cleaned, and soap and facial tissues were offered only sparingly. The hotel definitely does not deserve its five-star rating.
I liked being in walking distance to most of the things I wanted to do. Also, being a woman alone, I felt very pampered and guest services were great. I was disappointed that the exercise facility was not open but the alternative (Maxilla) was fine.
The hotel is first class and excellent service. The location is very good and close to the Old City. The rooms have their own doorbells. It was great.
Location. New building. Although they really try, the service is not what it should be.
The comfortable room and bed, and the pool and breakfast, and the view form the terrace. I think you should put pens in the rooms, and not pencils.
Beautiful hotel, excellent service, and wonderful location. The rooms are lovely and the food was wonderful. Staff members were charming and helpful. The hotel is expensive, but this is true for the better hotels in Jerusalem.
good service for Israel. Expensive for the standard. Pool small and facilities only average
Pool. Breakfast. Location. Staff attitude. Room Cleaning service Facilities upkeep
Nothing Staff attitude. Cold decore.
The staff was very friendly. location is very good, the room was net, clean and comfortable Nothing really, maybe just a bit overpriced.
Except when Condolizza Rice stays at this hotel, it is a very nice place to stay. Parking is 25 NIS per night. At check out time, he clerck tried to charge me twice this amount since I crossed a midnight boundery (I escaped based on the fact I arrived past midnight). This was mean and a bad incident for this hotel : either they charge 50NIS per day or they charge 25 NIS. This looks like a swindle attempt.
Rooms are beautigful, comfortable and very clean. Housekeeping service is excellent. Room is cleaned and new towels provided, even on checkout day. Full Breakfast is included which has all kinds of hot & cold dishes. The dining room is beautiful and breakfast is a relaxed dining experience. We enjoyed inviting guests for a relaxed breakfast. There is a wonderful lobby cafe and an elegant restaurant for dinner. There are many gourmet restaurants in the vicinity. There is a beautiful pool, exercise room and spa treatment facility, if you choose to take advantage of those facilities. Much business is conducted at the hotel, between individuals. It is a very convenient place for families to stay who are visiting the holy land. No.
The location is wonderful the servce was good - the breakfast is terrific There is no grab-bar for safe exiting of the shower one must hold on to the showercurtain, which is not exactly stabilizing - I would like to see a meat restaurant on the premises - the "amenities" in the bathrooms could use upgrading - someone needs to figure out a way to turn off some of the llghts in the room - all-or-nothing is annoying
The cleaniness, the location and the good nature of most of the personnel. Not a noisy hotel. $100 dollars for an extra bed is quite expensive and overpriced.
Loved the executive lounge...great place to relax and have a few drinks..the deserts were delicious; the outdoor rooftop patio view was beautiful especially at night, the toiletries were plentiful, and a magnifying mirror was a bonus. The outdoor pool was covered which was great to be able to swim in the winter the change rooms were nice and the hot steam room and dry steam room were fantastic!-well equipped exercise equipment, and elevators were fast and plentiful The exec lounge meals were awful..they looked good, but were cold and tasteless...there was not coffee..only expresso??..the lounge closed early one night the outdoor roof top patio could use some plants or decor..it was very bland; the worst part about the whole experience was that although we had the airconditioning on high, and turned down to the lowest...it was barely working, we had to open the window, which barely helped, but we had to..and suffer through the street noise and birds. The beds were too firm.; The gentlemen at the front door never smiled, said hello..or bothered to pay you any attention..your customer service could be improved by a simple smile and hello to all guests at every opportunity-- we are easy to like;no Jacuzzi
staff friendly and helpful the rooms were clean and very comfortable
I did not think the check in person was pleasant , courteous, or efficient. I called to check in early, and even though I came at the regular check in time my room was not ready, I had to wait for more then 45 minutes for my room.
Excellent breakfast. Clean.
A good clean comfortable and friendly hotel. No major issues but quite expensive. Not much natural light in the rooms and quite a small abthroom.
We stayed at the Inbal Hotel over the High Holydays in September. I liked the atmosphere ~ running a modern, efficient hotel for business people and tourists, while still offering all the necessities to cater for the observance of ancient Jewish traditons for Shabbat and the High Holydays. It is a beautiful hotel in a great location. We had asked for a quiet room but were allocated one over the front entrance and facing busy Jabotinsky Street ~ that could have been handled better.
pool area, breakfast, communal areas some of the reception staff unfriendly, rooms are a bit dated
We got rooms not according our reservation
Reasonably quiet, friendly, very nice lobby, culturally very interesting. Staff were friendly and did not impose service. Lobby was beautiful, and rooms were comfortable but not up to date. E.G., tiny, old crt television. Phone in the bathroom was wired to a wire coming out of the ceiling and running down the wall (I.E., a retrofit).
We love the Leonardo because of the great service, the homey yet luxurious feel, and the magnificent views of Jerusalem. The breakfast is unmatched and the location is great too. The only downside is that you have to park your own car. Overall it's a great hotel with great prices.
amazing staff, beautiful hotel, perfect location
Food was very good The room and bathroom were not clean
Very poor hotel - under all viewpoints.
Internet service and Mikva facility should be included for the price we paid for our room.
The hotel was religious, which I appreciated as a woman traveling alone, even though I am not religious. I felt totally safe and protected there. The hotel was very accessible to everything I wanted to see in the city, by bus or by foot, and the staff was helpful with instructions. There were religious ceremonies outside my window every night. They did not go on past 9 p.m., and I had ear plugs. But it would be good if this information was included in the hotel information.
The rooms were always clean and tidy. The staff was most professional, and they tried their best to make us feel at ease and comfortable.
We were there for 9 nights and it was a great experiance! The rooms while small, were clean and comfortable! Clean bathroom with a great shower! Service was great, Mutty is a very gracious manager seeing to all of our comforts. Breakfast was delicious, and Yossi went out of his way to make sure that everyone got whatever they wanted! Don't plan on eating lunch while here, you'll be full all day! My wife and I highly recomend this hotel!
The hotel gears itself to the Orthodox or Hasidic Jewish clientele. The neighborhood is excellent. There is a synagogue on premises, and the hotel is very near to Zichron Moshe, a synagogue with practically round the clock services. We had the deluxe room. The room was clean, neat, and decent size. There was coffee in the room. The strictly kosher breakfast was excellent, with lots of variety and unlimited quantities. The front desk was helpful.
kiddush and Shala seudas was a bit too expensive..Instead of 250 shekels it seems 175 shekels would be very reasonable..I probably would not do one of those next time I come...
Normally I live 280 days in Hotel per year since 1999. Never, I say never, In the whole world I found such a dirty, expensive, badly run hotel. Full of unpolite guests like loose dogs, no service available at any time, due to the people who could not work because religious. If I am a paying guest, 200 dollars (real thieves) I should not care, right? Some examples? Children pissing in the lift, reception not working for three days because of their feist passover, no lift working: same reason. Children shouting and running in the rooms corridor at 7 in the morning and in the afternoon so you cannot rest. No possibility to collect even the key of the room because nobody was there. No bread at breakfast who was in itself already very poor an Dirty. The kitchen was dirty and the room and its carpet was full of stains undescrivable. They should send an inspection and I am calling the authorities for it. I do not think it's legal to keep open such a place and for such a price. When the manager was told that I was leaving He did not even say sorry, which such an arrogance and I do not care attitude that I never saw in my whole life. The only valuable and clever person there was Mr Nasser who helped to change that dirty room. Of course the voice castle I chose is ironic because there is no voice saying monstrous hotel!!! .... booking should check better what they suggest to its guest!!!
Great location and breakfast. Nice entrance and lobby. Nice friendly clientele. Heimshe . Manager was extremely helpful. Room air conditioning broke a few times.
Hotel is in a great location, two minute walk to the nearest gate to the old city, if you want to spend leisure time in your room this is not the place for you. It's basic, clean always felt secure and the staff were really helpful.
Good location, not expensive
cordiality and cleaness
Good location fair brekfast
The location of the hotel is excellent. Quality of free internet is perfect. Stuff serves you giving you a feeling that it's not their job to do any thing for you. They clean your room if they feel like; otherwise it's not their problem that you don't have a clean towel. Even if they clean they do not use the vacuum cleaner, so the ground stays always dirty. The hotel is very old and not repaired for a long time, all walls and carpets are dirty, the bathroom is disgusting. Usually there is no hot water. The breakfast is from 7 till 9 (!!!!). Have you ever seen a traveller that is willing to wake up before 9? It's my vacation and I'm not supposed to rush for a cup of coffee in the morning. The quality of the breakfast is very bad: tomato, cucumber, sweet pepper, one type of the bad quality of cheese and ham.
they are sincerely trying to provide good service no credit card - only cash. but if you make a row about it you can get discount 10%:-)
very good breakfasts hotel needs an internet room, where visiters can use the hotejs computer, keyboard etc
The clientele were unusually intelligent, diverse and courteous. The staff were really intelligent and courteous too .
pretty convenient to the old and new city bathroom wasn't great, we were put in smoking room after requesting non-smoking, long walk to restaurants, quite expensive
Room decor and furniture was old and needs updating. bed not very comfortable.
Front desk staff very kindly allowed us to check out late the day of our plane -- 8 pm. Thanks! Breakfast was very good. Lobby lounge is very nice. Most of the staff seemed like they didn't want to be there. Our rooms were barely made up (wet towels left on floor). Air conditioner took a long time to get room cool. Rooms are very small. No concierge.
Updated and very nice. Better than Inbal for much less.
Good value for money, especially the breakfast, very comfortable for a family stay.
Great location, wonderful breakfast and the room was very clean. Staff was nice and accommodating.
Location The staff, for the most part, wasn't helpful. For example, it was a cold night, and when I called downstairs and told them the heater was broken--even the lowest setting made the room unlivable--the staff's response was to open my window. It was raining heavily with strong winds that night, so I pushed the staff person further, who finally sent up a portable radiator. The sheets on the bed were torn. The bed wasn't made adequately, so that I couldn't fit my body into the bed. The shower glass wasn't sealed, so that water leaked all over the bathroom. Several staff at the front desk were unfriendly.
Good location - 5 - 10 minute walk from King David hotel and Mamilla square which leads right to Jaffa Gate. Extensive breakfast buffet. Rooms a bit dated. Terrible wifi but much of Jerusalem not much better. No grocery/convenience store nearby.
Very nice, pretty and clean. As nice or nicer than Inbal but cheaper. Great Shabbat meals!
Good location. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean but decor and furnishings needs updating. Beds not very comfortable. Also, sleep disturbed by street noise (room at front of hotel).
We went there for the holiday we had a great stay great service very clean would definitely go back next year when we visit Jerusalem
Poor service, room needs repairs, wireless internet faulty
Location was great. It was fairly clean. Rooms were decent size. They were doing construction so there was always lots of construction noise and dirt all over from construction. The elevators were in construction as well so never more then 1 elevator was in use for the whole two weeks I was there and that was a pain. They advertise 4 star but it was more like a 3 star American standards. The staff were not as friendly as they could have been.
Very nice hotel, good breakfast, ideally located to see the sights.
location older hotel without fitness room, pool, or elevator access to all floors. overpriced for amenities available.
Very nice No swimming pool
It was centrally situated to all tourist sites. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were substantial and exceeded expectations. Hotel had all necessary amenities. Our room 527, the air conditioning did not work properly and after every 10 minutes just switched off. Was difficult sleeping as we were obliged to open the windows and the noise from the street made it difficult to sleep. Also the toilet did not flush very well.
Position Room and bathroom very small. Dining room staff unhelpful
Close to the Old City
Great location, newly renovated, rooms attractive and comfortable. Bathroom could have been cleaner
It's a budget hotel, clean, rather friendly and excellently located (15 minutes walk to the Old City, 3 minutes walk to Ben Yehuda). It was our (me & wife) second stay there, and I guess next time we're in Jerusalem we're going to stay there again. Non-kosher breakfast, ie including both milk and meat foods. However I understand that's hardly possible:)
Angelica's Restaurant Rooms could use a paint job & a good cleaning
The staff were courteous and very helpful with any queries I had. The hotel is quite close to Jaffa gate, about 15 bminute walk and is convenient to restaurants and shopping. There was also a good choice for breAKFAST each morning. I cannot think of anuthing that I did not like. The tv in my room seemed to have a mind of its own. Each time I canged the channel the volume wouls shoot up. Apart from that I have no
Good location in new city, downtown, but also near the old city. Very helpful staff.
The staff is amazing! They were so helpful, friendly, and positive! The location, too, is great - close to all the major sights of Jerusalem - yes, it still involves quite some walking, but that should be expected in a city on hills.
Pretty quiet, room was clean enough, excellent location (not far from the old city and as well as from places opened at Shabbat).WiFi. Good shower. Helpful staff. Good value for money. Was trying to reach reception from the room, but nobody was responding. I had to go down.
The staff was very professional and helpful. The location was great and the facility was very clean.
the location is superb - it is at the edge of the old town and hence walking distance to jaff gate - the receptionists are very helpful and ready to provide any kind of assistance or information asked for the breakfast was routine but the attitude of the people serving in the dining room was not friendly - whenever there was no helping in the bowls they had to be told and asked to refill the same - refused to serve hot milk for coffee/tea saying that will not be kosher - second reply was kitchen was too small to heat the milk
Quiet location and value for money. Another chair in the room would be good.
The breakfast was good , lots of variety and we ate there for Friday night dinner which was a great spread for the money. No free internet
The atmosphere was relaxed and staff polite and the check out time good No tea/coffee making facilities in room; noisey fridge; cigarette smoke smells despite the fact that smoking is illegal - clearly not enforced
The location is great and the price was right.
Location is excellent- easy walk to the Jaffa Gate & in a nice neighborhood. WiFi is available, but expensive; buffet breakfast needs variety & the instant coffee tastes awful.
Great location, great price, friendly staff, great breakfast,,,,,,,,great selection of TV stations they should include sample bottles of shampoo and conditioner, and hard bar of soap (only liquid soap was provided).
Excellent Receptionist, good Breakfast no restaurant, no room service
It is at the best location if you want to visit the "Old City" The staff is just ok.....
Exellent location, quiet and clean streets around (although there was some build works nearby but I believe it'll end some day :)) anyway it wasn't a trouble), 10 minutes to Old City, 10 minutes to Ben Yehuda str., 10 minutes to restaurants and youth cafes area. Clean rooms, very friendly and helpful stuff - thank you! I'll stay here next time I visit Jerusalem!
The location of the Eldan was very convenient for sightseeing - this is its main strength. It's a clean, quiet basic hotel with simply-decorated rooms. The staff was very sweet although not especially knowledgeable. Breakfast was mediocre (in quality and variety) by comparison to every other hotel I stayed at during this vacation.
