10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. I don't know where to start. The owner and the staff are lovely people who gave us a lot of helpful advice. Jim is a great guy and a delight to talk to. The room was spacious, impeccably clean and well equipped. We had a balcony with a garden view and saw a lot of animals (monkeys, macaws, Agoutis and countless birds) just sitting on the balcony, unforgettable. The hotel is well located, lots of good and cheap places to eat around the corner. It was one of the most pleasant stays we had so far (not only in Costa Rica)!
Cons: Nothing, it really was perfect.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: - Very spacious room - The bed is gigantic and super comfortable - The design in the room is really beautiful - Bathroom concept is really nice - Nice and small kitchenette - Toilet separated from the bathroom - Many towels - The view is unbelievable! There are no windows but nets that protect you from insects. The light that comes in in the morning it’s just perfect - Supermarket close - Bus stop to Manuel Antonio very close - Local restaurants and bars close to the house - Very nice neighbourhood - Close to Quepos and Manuel Antonio
Cons: - Staff was not responding when we needed help, we had to find help on the streets with locals - Many stairs to get to the house - No fully mirror - The equipment in the kitchen is old and quite dangerous (the fire of the gas stove was too hard) - We didn’t have any pots only two pans
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location and wonderful team that went out of their way to make our stay the best!!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We were in White Dove with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, & a kitchen. It was quiet, the bed was comfy, and the price was very good for Manuel Antonio. The staff was wonderful (thanks Jem and Lili!) & went out of their way with nice little extras, like doing a load of laundry for us at no charge. The location was perfect - a few minutes walk to the grocery store and bus stop. It was easy to get back and forth to Manuel Antonio, Quepos, beaches, and good restaurants. Our deck was sublime - we loved sitting outside watching birds & monkeys and listening to the rain at night. WIFI was strong and fast. AC was good. We were here for 7 nights, really liked it and we'd stay here again!
Cons: Our room could use a remodel/update. We heard that there are plans for that, but meanwhile, the furniture and fixtures are old and a bit quirky, not modern at all. The shower temperature/pressure in both bathrooms (especially the main) was hard to adjust.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Definitely recommend to stay here! The room was clean and cosy, the beds comfy, bathroom very nice. Our host was so friendly and helpful. Beautiful view of the garden. 2min from the bus stop, supermarket, restaurants and bakery. Would gladly come back anytime.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: this place is beautiful, the room was even nicer than hotel. parking spot is limited, but I was able to park on the side road without any problem. I would definitely come back if I ever visit Costa Rica again
7.9 Good
Pros: - the room is very spacious and clean - during the day there’s so much light coming in, it’s absolutely perfect - the view from the windows is very nice - the bed is huge and sooo comfy -there’s a supermarket and a bus stop to Manuel Antonio and Quepos very close - the shower is super design and the water pressure is perfect
Cons: - the staff was not always joinable - in the kitchen you don’t have much equipment to cook and the one you have are quite old

Pros: The restaurant was closed (which was not mentioned) I was there with my girlfriend and we wanted a romantic early breakfast, instead we had a pool exercise class going on right in front of us . The instructor was yelling his instructions . Absolutely a “buzz kill”
Cons: Restaurant on site was closed. Which was not mentioned prior to booking. Had to do unnecessary traveling for diner. And a lot of grounds was closed due to maintenance.

Cons: Nothing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The 3 bedroom appartement was beautifully designed and very confortable with 2 bathrooms, a terrace, 3 balconies, an equipped kitchen and nice living room. The service is great and beachtowels are easily provided. The pool is beautiful and the small beach wild. We enjoyed yoga classes on the yoga platform and unfortunately we missed the free cooking classes
Cons: The proposed activities through third parties on the website were a little disappointing, for example the catamaran for whale watching embarked almost 100 visitors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Excellent Breakfast. Huge apartment layout. Elevator opens into your suite.

Pros: Great location. Attentive and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
5.7 Okay
Cons: I forgot some things at my room at check-out. I came back 2 hours later and asked for them. They told me to wait while they got them. After 1.5 hours of waiting I just couldn´t get my things back and lost 1.5 hours of my day waiting. I kept asking what happened and they always said 2 more minutes. So I ended up spending 1.5 hours of my weekend in the lobby arguing with the employees for them to tell me we can´t give you your things back
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is perfect. Just perfect. Excellent location, amazing view, really nice and kind staff. There is a trail right to a beautiful beach, and The pool is great too. And the restaurant is wonderful! As a vegetarian couple, we don't get to have a lot of options in restaurants, especially in hotel restaurants. In this case they had a full vegan menu! And the food is delicious. We had wonderful time.
Cons: The only thing I can think of is the stairs. A lot of stairs, and it's hard to get the suitcases from the room.
10.0 Excellent

5.8 Okay
Pros: I loved the staff at the hotel. They really did an amazing job to make us feel like royalty. If anything good can be said about the hotel, it's definitely the staff members here that make this place amazing. The breakfast staff and the golf-cart staff were super nice. Really loved them. The breakfast was really good, and the front pool was really nice.
Cons: There were several things wrong with our stay. First, when we stayed at the hotel, there were people doing construction right outside our room, meaning they can look into the room to see everything. Secondly, the rooms were a bit musty. The jacuzzi was never heated; we kept calling the front desk and asking them to turn the heat on. However, that was never resolved. You can't even adjust the jacuzzi from your suite. In the mornings, we woke up with construction noises because they were working on a rooftop in the adjacent suite. During night time, the rooms are dimly lit. The pathway from the hotel restaurant to our villa seemed dirty. It was always slippery - be careful when walking here. The room service options are extremely limited; it has one of the most limited options in Costa Rica. The wi-fi was so bad in the room. We kept losing our internet connection every 20 minutes. Finally, at one point in the night, we asked for a taxi cab to take us to dinner (in the rain), and I am not sure if the front desk forgot to call the taxi because we waited in the cold and in the rain for a while and had to remind them again. If you are considering this hotel, I would not recommend it. We come to Costa Rica regularly and would recommend staying at El Parador Resort and Spa or even Gaia Hotel, which is nearby. Don't waste money on this one.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Excellent service.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful views. The pool was amazing. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. There were many great restaurants nearby. The marina was great for food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fishing was kickass & it was off season too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds were immaculate and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: The hotel is built in the mountains so be aware there are many steep inclines and the beach is a 1/2 mile down a very steep incline. If you are fit this shouldn't be an issue but if you have mobility restraints this could be problematic. The grounds are absolutely beautiful!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location in the middle of the rain forest.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was amazing! Staff was friendly and attentive. There was wildlife everywhere and it was incredible. The pools are amazing and the restaurant is pricey but great. The desserts are all stupendous. I would recommend the hotel to anyone and I will try to come back!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view is great and perfect
6.3 Good
Pros: The property has an amazing and exceptionally beautiful view over the ocean.
Cons: Construction work is ongoing at a nearby property. We were woken up at 7 in the morning by jackhammers and it was so noisy that we couldn’t use our room until after 17:00 during the week. The hotel staff did not inform us about this, something which should be expected as a courtesy. The staff was not very friendly or helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was incredible. From the pool to the staff and location. An amazing place the we will revisit!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the staff were very attentive and helpful. And great with the kids.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place & beautiful views!
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Incredible views of the area especially at sunrise and sunset. Helpful and accommodating staff. Included shuttle is very helpful to get to beach and I especially appreciated how our shuttle driver brought us right to the park entrance (went a bit further on the road from the beach drop off).
Cons: Restaurant was a bit overpriced for dinner for food that was not very flavorful, however the included breakfast was excellent. Had many difficulties booking and paying through website, though was able to resolve by fax reservation.
6.8 Good
Pros: The view is incredible, the rooms/beds are comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. Falafel Bar across the street had great food too.
Cons: Some of the staff were rude and came off pretentious. This is especially annoying when you're on vacation and just want to let loose. TOO MANY KIDS. They pretty much took up the entire pool, were loud and spent all day there. I didn't have a moment to enjoy it until I went after 10pm. DO NOT GO TO FRED'S next door. We stepped in for a minute to check it out and the guy immediately hollered at us from across the place that we had to spend at least $10 or we had to leave. Um bye. The Wi-Fi also went down for an entire day, for the price you pay to stay here this was unacceptable.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: I was charged for 10 nights and only there for 4 nights. I requested a refund but was denied. I'm disputing the amount billed on my credit card. I should be given a refund for nights not stayed.
6.8 Good
Pros: Beautiful hotel. Close to activities & great ocean views
Cons: Beds are horrible. Old & no box springs. Seven nights was almost unbearable. Ant's in the room. Overpriced for the supposed best hotel in town.

Pros: Our room was situated where we looked down about 1 1/2miles of beach (est) with the roar of the waves, too soothe you too sleep...….and then sitting on deck in morning, getting visits from the monkeys, macaws, and an occasional sloth.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very unique property with a private beach!
Cons: Construction going on during our stay! And the selection of main courses needs an update...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: AMAZING. Everything was perfect, of course, very expensive, but worthy. The room is big with huge bathroom and shower, everything was perfectly clean and the mistresses come twice a day. The two swimming pools are amazing for their view, but what I liked most was the (private) beach Playita: so close, peaceful, comfortable, beautiful, they also serve lunch right on the beach! The restaurant is delicious (again, expensive of course but worthy!). The staff is well trained, kind and available 24h. Also, we had to leave the room in the morning but we could stay the whole day on the beach and the pools, enjoying all the resort's services.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, awesome beach, high quality service.
Cons: Interior design is pretty bland. Access road is too steep, very hard to drive in or out.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Staff are a delight.
Cons: Thunderstorm but not sure the hotel has a line to Him upstairs !!

Pros: Amazing staff members especially Laura the Massuse. You must ask for her if you go to the spa. Everyone was very welcoming and polite from the house keeping attendants to the managers. Location and safety factor for us was huge. Beautiful property.
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: What a fantastic hotel! Since we arrived to the hotel everything was amazing. The staff was nice, the Check In process was quick, we got a welcome drink and they took us to our room which was ready before the Check In time. The room was really big and had a private hot tub, and the shower is huge. We had some kind of living room, that was really nice to hang out and watch a movie before going to bed while still hearing to monkeys from outside! lovely experience. The view from our room was breathtaking and it was fun to wake up into it. The staff was beyond amazing and helped us with all we need. You can really trust the guards at the parking lot - they was super nice and let us know that we left one of our car windows open. A minor thing that we found really helpful is the laundry service! Free, fast and made our life much easier. The pool area and the private beach is fantastic - clean, comfortable and has a lot of space to rest.
Cons: That we didn't had more time at the hotel

Pros: Everything about this hotel is perfect. The location, the staff, the food, the rooms! My only thing (and it’s so small that it doesn’t even matter) is that it can be difficult to sleep in the room if your someone whose sensitive to light because the tv and the AC machine have little lights on them that light up the whole room-Nothing a good eye mask can’t fix! The room itself is absolutely beautiful. This place really goes above and beyond. When you first arrive you are greeted with the most delicious beverage that you’ve ever tasted. The staff is really what makes this place extra special. They know all the guests by name and are all extremely genuine people. The location is amazing as well. It’s so nice to have access to the private beach and be able to walk to playa espadilla. If you stay here you have to go out to dinner at La Luna-we had an amazing experience there.
Cons: It was perfect!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness at the reception and all the staff, including Jorge and Andres who work at the bar/restaurant. The view from the room and the pool. Also the free shuttle to the beach.
Cons: The Buffett breakfast! . Some of the food items were far away and you had to really stretch to reach them. I wasn't sure whether to serve myself or to wait for someone to serve me. I always had to ask for someone to help me as some of the food items were too far away for me to help myself.
7.5 Good
Pros: The beds were comfortable and a nice view.
Cons: The property is nice but not kid friendly. The decks were opened so we had to have them fix our deck to put mesh up. Also the two stairs inside they put up a semi permanent gate which did not swing , it was difficult for us adults to climb over. The pool was nice but one day we had incident where they tried to charge us for 17 margaritas.. no joke. My husband flipped out on the server and they did fix it. We had maybe 4 or 5 max between the three of us. It was very weak drinks although the staff was friendly it was too bad they tried to charge us so much for drinks when they were very weak.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything at Si Como No was amazing! The room and grounds were beautiful and well cared for. All of the staff were very friendly and super helpful, as well as attentive and knowledgeable. While the hotel was a bit away from the beach, they made visiting the coast easy by providing their own shuttle to and from. There were supermarkets and bars within walking distance, and the hotel was also on the road for public transportation, so it was very easy to get around!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The gorgeous view, tranquil setting and very friendly accommodating staff. Also excellent food and drinks.
Cons: The bottom bed sheet wouldn’t stay on the bed and top comforter was alittle too heavy and was hot. The mattress was comfortable but the bottom sheet didn’t fit and stay on. Other than that and a few sugar ants the room was perfect.

Pros: Attention
Cons: Staff was excellent, how ever they were trying so hard to be goos that they missed some things. For example, during breakfast I had to ask for coffee more than 3times until the guy actually brought me coffee. Every time I asked, he started a nice conversation about "where was I from, what were the plans for the day, etc" which was nice, but that made him forget why we started talking ( the coffee), so I had to ask him again and gain. During raining season, raincoats would be desirable.

All of the staff are helpful and very welcoming throughout our stay. Our room had a fantastic view of the ocean and the beds were very comfy. And the breakfast was also delicious and had a lovely view. Lots of restaurants are within walking distance and the hotel offers a free shuttle to the beach. Pros: We enjoyed our first class stay from the moment we arrived on this lovely property. The front desk person greeted us warmly and we felt like family right away. They upgraded us without even asking and our room with the beach view was immaculate, adorable and had an amazing view. The breakfasts every morning were truly delicious, I am a vegetarian, a bit on the fussier side and the breakfast was a 10 and the portions fed me for both lunch and dinner. My husband and I would stay there next time as well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Dream property overlooking both Manuel Antonio beaches and the smaller Biesanz beach, which is a short 5-minute walk from the hotel. The property is ideally located on the hill so the views are amazing. On the property, we saw a sloth from our room, were greeted by sugar-stealing white-face monkeys at breakfast, plenty of iguanas and lizards. The staff was super friendly. We got to know Chris, Teo, Kevin, Julia and so many other folks who truly made our stay memorable. Our room, Penthouse 26, was absolutely amazing! I would stay here again 100%! Breakfasts were delicious, as were drinks at the pool and we even had dinner in our room during a stormy night. I wouldn't change a thing!
Cons: Nothing to dislike. I don't recall the exact description of the property but I was under the impression that it would be right on the beach. However, there really are no properties right on the beach in Manuel Antonio. The property and the views more than made up for not being exactly on the beach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything about this property. The staff was super friendly, the hotel was sparkling clean, the views were spectacular. Food was good but a little pricey. Short drive to Manuel Antonio.
Cons: I got a great deal on the room during the off-season ($110) but I think it costs twice that in peak season, not sure if that is worth it. Also the road and driveway can be difficult to maneuver if you are an inexperienced driver.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded for free from a standard room to the presidential suite because it was our 10 year anniversary.

Pros: Issimo is a lovely boutique hotel. Guests are greeted with a complimentary cocktail and refreshing cold face towel. The staff is attentive and professional. All the large rooms have a spa tub and great views. The complimentary breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs, cheese coffee is great. We dined both nights in the open air restaurant with ocean views; the food was beautifully presented & delicious. The outdoor pool and deck have ocean views and the spa massage was wonderful. We booked a rafting trip with the concierge and were very pleased. Issimo Suites is owned by a charming Italian family; the menu & attention to detail reflect their desire to pamper guests. I would highly recommend it.

Pros: Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations. The photos online don't really do it justice, you must be present to get the full experience. We were greeted with drinks and cold towels, walked in to a room with a view of the water and garden area - I felt like I was outside but protected by a window. The shower and inroom spa tub was amazing to use while looking out the window that spanned an entire wall. The food was amazing everyday and the staff, I can't say enough good things about the staff. They were kind, attentive, and helpful. We took a chance and didn't book any activities until we got there, totally out of our norm, however, every single tour (3) the hotel booked for us also exceeded our expectations. If you're in the MA area, stay here!!!!

Pros: The view of the ocean
Cons: Terrible room service. Was given wrong room and had to ask to be changed to my proper room (penthouse suite). Laundry service extremely expensive. Same song playing in restaurant for 45 minutes.. twice. Had to actually ask staff to pay attention and change it. Food wasn't special, just food. Couldn't get any ice because they don't have much... it's wasn't enjoyable.

Pros: Breakfast and location was great.jyst a shuttle away from Manuel Antonio Park. The room was very clean and the grounds were immaculate.
Cons: I don’t think the property has any shortcomings.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazingly clean. Staff are exceptional and obviously well trained. The room we were assigned was spacious, the bed was firm and the selection of pillows satisfied our preferences. The property, the gardens and on site trails are marvellous.
Cons: Likely everyone will comment on the road noise. It is evident but is easily overcome when you consider the amenities La Fortuna offers. Frankly I can’t imagine a place CR that will provide a completely soundproof experience.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Every thing it was wonderful
Cons: Location not much around within walking distance
7.5 Good
Pros: The rooms are spacious and clean. This also applies for the bathroom. The pool is really nice. We visited end of July (low season) so there was no shortage of deckchairs. When the accomodaton is full, this might be a challenge. The location is very quit. There is an on-site canopy.
Cons: The restaurant serves an OK breakfast but the quality of our dinner was mediocre . So the others night we went out. It takes about 10-15 minutes to go to the "restaurant strip"so when booking this resort, it is better to have your own transportation.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Just the pool and the green area.
Cons: Service and room. At first it looked pretty good, everyone was nice, room look good, garden was awesome, a very good first impression until night came. We had no hot water, we had a RAT on the ceilings ( yes a RAT ) and when we tried to reception we found out the phone was not working either. That being said, next day I went to the office explained what was happening but, as usual in Costa Rica, nobody cared. No one from reception came to our room to see what was going on, nobody called my cell, nobody did nothing. Regarding the food and drinks, they are bellow average, we ended up on Marina Pez Vela for lunch and dinner, the hotel’s food is not cheap and it’s pretty bad. Please, don’t go there, find some other place.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice pool area, cozy rooms, beautiful garden.
Cons: The food could be improved. A family hotel, so a perfect fit for a family, but if you travel as a couple there might be better options.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff and a great place to stay at near Quepos. I just loved the place. The room was sparkly clean, Wi-Fi works pretty well, very nice property where you can actually see a lot of wildlife like monkeys, toucan, frogs among others. It's only about 5-10 minutes away by car from Quepos, and about 20 minutes from Manuel Antonio. The property has some trails so you can go for a walk and enjoy nature. The pool area was awesome and the food was great! I definitely recommend this place!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were excellent, especially the bartender/dinner waiter. He was knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area, and whenever he spotted something he made a point to let the guests know. Rooms were sparkling clear. Grounds are nice, and they have transfer service to Manuel Antonio Park, and beaches. Also good was excellent.
Cons: Close to busy road, a little noisy. Also the guest nextdoor had their TV very loud.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff, accommodation, rooms
Cons: Location direct on a busy road, expensive restaurant. Try restaurants in quepos.

Pros: Marlene does not speak fluent English but has enough to communicate &has all info in English and she is the most helpful lady ever!!!! We did the kayak trip which was great and she cooked us fresh breakfast even tho we returned after it finished. Great breakfast. Rooms are very big and clean. Comfy beds, AC, Good hot showers. Nice pool. Need a car as it’s a few km from the town, setting is very cool tho as it’s quite but near the mangroves.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Don Bernard and Doña Marlene are fantastic and all accommodating. The rooms are clean and the food is fresh and good. AC works goof but you have to reset it each time you get back in the room.
Cons: You've got to have a car. We depended on taxis, but they hooked us up with Michael who took us everywhere we wanted to go. With that said, we couldn't walk anywhere, there's absolutely nothing near the place other the mangrove right next door. The air conditioning goes out when the door is open and you have to turn it back on when you get back in the room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Kayak Lodge is about 10‘ Car Drive from Quepos and 15‘ from Manuel Antonio. Its located right next to a beautiful Mangrove Forest and you can do a fantastic Kayak Tour there. for us it was even better than the National Park Manuel Antonio. Guide Maurillio is very experienced and know a lot about nature. we saw monkeys, birds and crabs!
Cons: the rooms are a bit dark
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The swimming pool and the personal attention from the owners. We could watch a movie on the big screen in the reception area!
Cons: Small sand flies in the area besides the mangrove.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation is lovely with a beautiful garden where almost everything is eatable of useable! The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is great! We had a lovely stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed being there as this is locally run business, everyone was super nice and helpful, you just need to ask. the place is very kid-friendly. we liked the small pool and the toys for kids. breakfast is made fresh.
Cons: just be aware you need a car to get there, and this is a20 min ride to Manuel Antonio- but the place is easy to find.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kayak Lodge is a little off the beaten path, which I like. It is a family-run business, the best kind. When I checked in at 5pm on Tuesday, Marlene, the proprietress, was there to show the room. I asked about where to get a quick bite around Damas before heading for SJO to pick up my sister-in-law, Linda, and she offered to accompany me to a soda a couple miles away on the Coastal Highway. She is such a doll! Her nephew Juan Carlos helps with breakfast, was in San Jose but on his way back out to the lodge. Marlene got him on the phone, and he offered to pick up Linda at the airport and only charge me for the gas. I nearly said yes, but I had promised Linda that I would meet her in the airport when her plane landed. As it turns out, I got lost, and Linda had to wait for an hour before I got there. I really should have taken Carlos up on his offer! Oh, well . . . If you have a working GPS, Kayak Lodge is not hard to find at all. It will be one your most enjoyable experiences in visiting Costa Rica. I love the Ticos!
Cons: Having to leave after only a single night's stay. What, I need to say something negative to bolster my credibility? OK, the humidity was too high! Deal with it. (Like, turn on the room A/C.)
5.4 Okay
Pros: The room was pretty big and the breakfast was nice
Cons: We stayed many hours without internet neither TV because there was a problem with the connection. In Costa Rica the hotels have more or less all the same problems, we slept here two night and one night of them the hotel was completely empty there was no one. Said this you think that when hotels are empty they decrease the price (being low/winter season) and give you bargains but is not like this. Even if all the hotel in the area were free and there is plenty of hotels in more touristic areas like Manuel Antonio that were empty too they ask anyway for the full price so for what we got we felt we spent a lot of money and probably is better for look cheaper accommodations which at the end are not so different from hotels that cost 2 or 3 times more. Generally in Costa Rica (but especially in the case of this hotel) the prices of hotels are way over expensive, they ask you for European / USA prices but they didn't provide not even close the same level of service / comfort.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable rooms, equipped with AC, fans, TV and towels. The pool was awesome and the place to have breakfast is really lovely, felt like home.
Cons: If you don’t have a car it’s quite hard to get by public transport. Besides that, it’s just perfect.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The Kayak Lodge was a very pleasant surprise. We had to cancel our reservation at a VERY expensive resort in Manuel Antonio for logistical reasons and booked the further away Kayak Lodge for a greatly reduced cost ($150/night vs. $400/night). The room, grounds, facilities, common areas, and pool were immaculate. My daughter said that it was the first place we had stayed during the trip (and we stayed at some very fine places) where she felt comfortable walking barefoot in the room. The owner (Marlene) and her staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. When we needed a late check out, we got it. The Manuel Antonio guide Marlene arranged for us (Millia (sp?)) was the best guide we had in Costa Rica! (Millia suggested & arranged a catamaran trip for the next day that was also a LOT of fun). Although the taxi to and from Quepos was about $10 one way (and a little more for Manuel Antonio) it was readily available and what we spent on taxis was more than made up for by what we saved on the room! Breakfast is included (indeed I think Kayak is deemed to be a B&B) and Marlene and her assistants prepared a delicious spread - complete with homemade guava jam! Also included gallo pinto, watermelon, pineapple, fried plantain, eggs, toast, etc. Mangrove tour was also fun. Highly recommend the Kayak Lodge.
Cons: It was a little far from the "action" but we had dinner in Quepos at the marina both nights and don't feel like we missed much by being a little farther out!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly people, big and clean rooms. Very good breakfast and good wifi

Pros: The WiFi in the room did not exist but in the restaurant and lobby it was good.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I'm not sure why this place doesn't have better reviews - it was pretty fantastic in my opinion. First of all, Milena at the front desk was incredibly nice and helpful. She helped us with our bags up to the room, showed us around, stored our luggage all day after we checked out but were still exploring, and let us come back after to use the showers and pool. And all the dogs in the reception area were great too! Honestly, the room exceeded our expectations! It was on the upper floor on a corner which might by why we had no complaints regarding noise; it's also the low season, so the whole place was relatively empty. The room was big and clean, and the bed was exceptionally comfy! The pool area is beautiful and surprisingly large given how close this place is to the park and town. The servers were all really friendly and their drink special was good too. We really enjoyed the breakfast in the nice dining area, and heard that dinner is great there as well. We walked down to the beach for dinner which was just a minute away, and left our car parked safely in the lot the whole time. It's a little on the pricey side, I guess, but the location absolutely can't be beat for visiting the park, and the facilities were truly excellent. We were able to walk to the park in just two minutes, as well as to Playa Espadilla. There are monkeys climbing on all the phone wires above you and beautiful birds singing in the morning. If we ever come back to Manual Antonio, we would absolutely stay here again.

Pros: Owner is friendly. Room is pretty modern and clean. The pool and spa jet were really nice. Really like the ambiance.
Cons: There isn’t too many restaurant options nearby. Windows instead of wooden doors were used so you had to keep the curtains closed all the time for privacy.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This place is AMAZING. A little Oasis in a busy area. You feel at home as soon as you are welcomed inside. If you are going to Manuel Antonio, STAY HERE! ;)
Cons: We had the economy room, very close to the road, and a ‘open’ toilet. But minor detail in an amazing space :)

Pros: Very nice hotel: comfortable room, clean, quiet (had a room with balcony near pool). Mike was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast not included but it’s a must to take it: it was delicious and changed everyday.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a great propertexpectations.for the money. The common areas are spectacular. Inside the walls of the B&B are perfectly manicured plants, certainly lots of attention to detail. Breakfast was also very good and a little less expensive than local restraunts. Room was nice and made up each day. Sometimes a little wildlife in main compound, monkeys and parrots. Great location but best with a car. Not much to walk to from hotel. We had a rental car which was perfect. This is one we'd come back to. Super hospitality, you felt at home here. We came in rainy season and there are no crowds, if you don't mind some rain its terrific.
Cons: Nothing, all above our expectations.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Owners were super friendly and accommodating, and always telling us about events and options for tours and stuff.
Cons: Breakfast hours could run a little later.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property and facilities were beautiful. Especially the way everything was lit up at night - made for a really romantic and relaxing evening by the pool. You can tell there was a lot of attention to detail and care into making this place as lovely as it is. The AC worked great and the ceiling fan, mini fridge, safe and sarongs for the beach were also nice touches in the room as well. The location was very safe (as it’s also behind a locked gate to enter) and only a few minutes away from tons of restaurants, grocery stores and shops. Manuel Antonio Park and other beaches are all under a 10 minute drive away as well. Three very well behaved and well cared for dogs also live on the property who I will miss very much (special mention to Bear who was the most cuddly and loving pup). Mike and Paul were also great, very helpful and made a delicious breakfast for us every morning. Would highly recommend this place if you are in the area!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at Coyaba Tropical was excellent in all respects. Despite being the “off season”, the owners, Mike and Paul, went out of their way to ensure that our visit to Manuel Antonio was a memorable one. Their attention to detail, particularly with respect to the cleanliness and aesthetics of their facilities is noteworthy. Furthermore, we very much appreciated their advice on worthwhile sites to visit. There are many five star resorts that can easily accommodate many more numbers, but one would not receive the same level of personal attention and care as that found at Coyaba Tropical.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Parking was at the bottom of a steep driveway and my motorcycle parking was very tight.
