BEST WESTERN Narvik Hotell is situated 115 meters above sea level, surrounded by beautiful nature next to Narvikfjellet, representing one of the most spectacular ski resorts in northern Europe. Taking just a step outside our hotel, the mountain lift brings you up to Narvikfjellet, 655 meters above sea level. From this point, you can enjoy the fantastic view to the fjord Ofotfjorden and the surrounding mountains. Our hotel was built in 1989 and consists today of 40 rooms, including two family rooms and one handicap room. There are good parking facilities in front of the hotel. Furthermore, BEST WESTERN Narvik Hotell can offer three conference rooms with capacity for up to 80 persons. Our restaurant 'Skistua Spiseri' can hold 120 persons, as well as a lobby bar. Narvik is situated on a half-peninsula in the inner part of the Ofotfjorden, surrounded by great mountains. This part of Norway represents the second narrowest part of the mainland. It takes only a few hours to walk across the country from the Swedish border to the Norwegian coast on the other side. Narvik is situated on the crossroads between E6 in north/south bound directions and E10 West-/eastwards to Lofoten and Sweden. The wild and beautiful nature makes Narvik a perfect starting point for exciting adventures. Enjoy your stay.
Comfortable rooms, friendly staff and Excellent breakfast buffet
Little over my budget, but great price/quality for the location
The staff was exceptionally nice--let us use the laundry facilities and helped us with other details. The dinner and breakfast buffets were good.
This hotel is extravagantly priced as is all of Norway. It is a bit out of the way, fortunately the bus driver from Bodo actually drove us to the hotel (!); otherwise it would have been a tough uphill walk with suitcase and backpack.
What I liked the best was the place of the hotel - near the mountains and gondol. A quite and central place.
Good location and nice helpful staff. Right next to the cable car which ran late in to the night.
The buffet available for other guests when a coach party was in was not very good and would not be worth having so we had to eat elsewhere.
old, not very comfortable room, not clean feeling
The breakfast was okay.
The hotel staff was rude. The hotel is located far from the Narvik station and centre. The hotel reception is located in the kitchen. I never experienced this before. When you talk to the hotel staff it smells food.
wi-fi internet was not free
Good food, comfortable rooms, nice staff. Good availability
The room smelt a bit of smoke.
I found it very relaxing. The views, the country air of the hotel. Country lodge like.
It is a steep climb to the hotel, for those without 'Narvik legs'
Friendly atmosphere, a lot of wood used in the building gives a rustic appearence to the hotel.
A very twisted and complicated way to arrive at your room.
Very good support at the front desk personell
