Easy Going friendly atmosphere No
Nothing. Glad to get away. This was a nightmare experience from start to finish. Thanks to its location in the middle of a pedestrian precinct, it took me over an hour of circling the ring road in rush hour to find a way of getting my car to the well-concealed NCP car park closest to it. When I did arrive, the reception was locked, so I had to go to the bar to find any staff. The bar was so thick with tobacco smoke as to be absolutely intolerable. This must be a serious health hazard, and all I can say to the majority 77% of the population who do not smoke is that they should steer well clear of this place until smoking in public places is legally banned in July. A barman unlocked the reception in an attemp to check me in, but had no idea how to access the computerised booking system or a fax which had been sent for me. Eventually another staff member managed to do this, then demanded advance payment for the room and informed me that I could not charge meals or drinks to the room, and would have to pay separately for them. On departure the next morning, the reception was again locked, and it was only because I happened to bump into a passing staff member that I was able to return my key. This hotel has no understanding of the concept of customer service, and I will certainly not stay there again.
ble to leave the car in the car park for 3 days.
New Inn has a most pleasant atmosphere with a real feeling for tradition and history. Comfortable if a little old fashioined rooms nothing
Location was excellent and easy to find once car had been parked. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Having to leave car in a car park which wasn't next to the hotel.
Lovely looking with beams Cold room, thin duvet non working hairdryer, noisy generator all night long
Extremely quaint hotel, well located with comfortable rooms, really good public facilities, helpful staff and good, reasonably priced food. None really
The warmth and comfort of the bedroom Had I had a problem with stairs I would have been distressed, and the noise from the bar and club went on rather late.
The only reasonably good thing was the room although this wss very cold without any for of available heating. Very poor facilities; especilally for dining, uninviting atmposphere, no-one in attendance in evenings so dining room seemed closed at times. Poor dinner menu and food. Lack of and inaccurate verbal information on arrival.
Very friendly staff, nice clean room. Very chilly room in the night.
Quiet Cobwebs above bed, no shampoo/shower gel, bed not made up properly (lower sheet left wrinkled), bathroom electrics not compliant with current regulations (Saniflo isolator should be outside the bathroom or cord-operated).
Good value for money, food also very good value, no complaints
Checking in was easy and we were met with courteous friendly attendtion.
Accommodation was clean, pleasant and of a high standard. Disappointed in the quality of the food
as we had an early start sandwiches were provided for breakfeast these were apreciated and tasted fresh in the morning. Evening meal was also of good standard. could consider slightly later finishing serving evening food
everybody was eager to please lack of choice for evening meal
Reasonable cost perfomance.
Friendly staff, room clean and well stocked. Lovely decor. Good value fo money. Ate food good.
Everything was clean. Breakfast was excellent. Nice simple decor in bedrooms. Slight road noise when window open.
The cotton sheets on the bed. We were not offered a choice of room, which was disapppointing because they were not full. We could not operate the shower as the taps were exceedingly stiff. The window in the room could not be opened - it was stiff too. The staff were not v friendly, although efficient.
Very comfortable room, modern and clean. Good bed and very happy to find extra pillows supplied. Breakfast lovely, and evenings meals were good. Great location. Floors in room above are very creaky and you could hear their conversations/ baby crying. We did mention this to the manager before we left.(and the shower was dripping constantly).
Friendly staff. Excellent value for money. Good 'pub' food and very good breakfasts.
The Staff were all very friendly and attentive to our needs The door on the outside of the accomodation was damaged and would not lock, due to a previous incident. Food was good and wholesome but a little expensive compared to others in the area.
loved the old inn, accommodation and restaurant which was excellent everything was very good
We liked the food,Breakfast and Dinner was excellent.staff and room was very good. None
The hotel staff were very friendly and courteous and the hotel setting was excellent The breakfast was of a poor standard and did not match up to my expectations - with small portions and poor quality which did not match the standards I would have expected - very disappointing !!!!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Washbourne Court Hotel. It was very relaxing , in a beautiful setting. . .quiet and peaceful just what we were looking for! The food was excellant, both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Some of the waiting/bar staff seemed unexperienced and/or uninterested in their job.
The staff were lovely, attentive, and the general air and ambience of the hotel was relaxed and warm. We enjoyed a lovely stay in a beautiful location.
Pleasant friendly staff.idylic and romantic location Restaurant food at dinner overpriced. The attempt at good food guide standard did not achieve its purpose. Our more modest comfort food meal in lounge the following night was more enjoyable.Wine mark up was very greedy
Feel at home, staff very friendly and helpful One of the bath taps was loose and the handle for switching from hand shower to water for the bath was missing!
room was very comfortable and the dinner was delicious
A get away from it all location with nice walks and Cotswolds life on your doorstep. No, its a nice place to stay and explore the two towns within easy reach of this location.
Location. Overpriced. Price point for this property is £170. Staff poorly trained (didn't know where room was, couldn't split bill for dinner between rooms). They can't make a decent cup of coffee either. No proper heating in bedrooms (just a small electric fire - radiators not turned on) which in October in the UK is unacceptable.
The dog friendly attitude of the staff and the way our dogs were welcomed.
The location was perfect, very central and we were fortunate to get rooms overlooking the stream that runs through the village centre. Bedrooms were large, clean and comfortable. Hotel very quaint with a lovely open fire at the back, staff very helpful and breakfast delicious.
The surrounding area, the water and the beautiful scenery. It is in a great place, Bourton On The Water is a small village, very quaint. The manager is very attentive to clients, he works very hard at making things go well. Some staff had walked out during the last days so the restaurant food and service was poor. Management recognised this problem but should have closed evening services. The room is much smaller than the pictures, you have a false impression that your room will be bigger so we were disappointed with this. The service in other restaurants were also mediocre.
Very friendly staff, nice food, good breakfast with late service and 11am check-out
Location very good, food very good, staff very friendly. Toilet had not been cleaned to standard, room very very very cold no heating at all. Reported this problem to reception next day.
Hotel was very central for exploring the Cotswolds. I was unable to park in the hotel carpark but did find parking 100 metres away.
it was easy access to the village no
Terrific village location. Nice old English atmosphere. Friendly staff I was traveling with my elderly mother (and mentioned that in my booking comments)and we were put into an annex room up a very steep flight of stairs. Hard for her to manage
Food was good in the bar & breakfast was fresh & very good First room very poor small & looked in need of update. Over breakfast swearing from kitchens of the otherwise helpful staff off putting - sounded like a lads night out. Dangerous light switch was reported 3 times and nothing done to my knowledge - we changed room but the switch was dangerous
Needs coat of paint. Food poor.
The Staff, the Hotel Setting and the Food and Drink The rooms were a little small, but fine for a weekend break
