Free parking and very close to the city. Good pool and jacuzzi. A little bit old fashioned hotel, but not a problem in fact
The hotel's situation is the very best part, just two kilometres from the motorway, a perfectly calm place to stop over and rest from driving. The price. I found that both the room and the meals were very expensive, especially the breakfast.
Convenient position for our drive to South Portugal. Easy to find. Pleasant helpful staff.
We liked the quick access from the motorway, the large room and the ambiance of an old Spanish manor. Reception staff was quite unfriendly from the start, making our stay uncomfortable. Now we see that we missed warnings about this from some guest reviews. When the internet connection did not work in the room, we had to jump through hoops to prove it to reception; even then they did not move us next door to a workable connection until we asked.
space very limited menu for light meals
Near city centre, though quiet area - Very clean and friendly staff
Quiet location and large swimming pool No
The hotel was clean and well-equipped to a high degree. Quiet, warm and very comfortable. Maid service was excellent. Staff were all approachable and usually helpful depending on the mutual language barrier. The hotel is well-placed for visiting all the sites of interest in the region and is close to an attractive town. The menue was limited, and portion sizes small but prices inflated. Given the quality of the hotel this was the most dissapointing aspect. Breakfast was expensive but expansive and varied, and was the best value of any of the meals offered. Sometimes we were too tired to venture in to town for dinner - but there were good resturants in town serving authentic regional food more reasonably priced. Complimentary tea and coffee facilities in the bedroom would have been appreciated after a long day with tired children. Few of the staff spoke English although between their limited English and our poor Spanish, we seemed to get along. It would have helped if we had been shown the English translated menue on the first evening rather than the last. There were a few whiffs from the drains at night - a bit surprising given it was a cold April.
Lovely building and interior, secluded and peaceful grounds, room and bathroom first class, good service, excellent breakfast, a very enjoyable experience. Garage parking.
We liked the quiet location and the tasteful interior in traditional Spanish style. The room was comfortable.
We asked for Secure Parking( Parking was selected on your website requirements) There is only street parking available. We arrived at 5pm there was no restaurant facility.
Visited the convent Lack of hotel guest car parking
This hotel was a real surprise, as was the town. This place has some hidden gems and is a great place to stop over on the way to Santander. The staff on all shifts were happy and helpful as were all the Spaniards we met in the town. Also recommend the Restaurant opposite Bodega Aquira. The breakfast could have had more for the international tourist, but was a perfectly adequate continental breakfast. All clean fresh and tasty!
Hotel very easy to find and park free in the street outside. Room comfortable and well soundproofed, despite being opposite bus station. Receptionists night and morning were offhand to the point of rudeness
Nice rooms, Very good breakfast. Internet was not strong in the room. The signal was week. No one in the hotel speaks English!!!!. So if you do not speak Spanish think twice.
Well located in a very nice village not far from the motorway, easy to park, quite new hotel in a recently renovated area, free internet The restaurant is closed since months, so there is only the bar with a short menu. Anyway there are a few restaurants literally next door.
We used asa stopover 7 hours from Costa Calida driving to Santander.Easy to find with well appointed room. Just over 3 hours to Santander Dining room was not open but there was a very good restaurant opposite. Breakfast was not until 8.15 which we had to miss as we had an early departure.
Clean adequate rooms in a hotel at the edge of town. Excellent ajetas and gamba tortilla in the bar. We attended a wedding at the same location and the food was great. A word of warning there are normally 2 weddings on Saturday the last ends at 4am.
The hotel is situated in the small central spanish town of medina del campo, which boasts a fine castle, well worth a visit if you have the time. Staff were very helpful and courteous, both in the hotel itself and the cafe/bar adjoining it. I stayed here en route to santiago de compostella from alicante and found it to be just right - conveniently located near the motorway and the town's services etc. No hassle with checking in - 12 O'clock on the button.
the car park although secure was tight
Easy to find, town centre location. Nice restaurant in situ. Convenient for visiting the old town & surrounding countryside. The rooms at the front of the hotel overlook the noisy bus terminus.
