Hotel Jaqués - Jaca - Building

8.9 Excellent (1,113 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Jaqués in Jaca, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Clock Tower and Diocesan Museum of Jaca - Romanesque Art. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was quite central and very near to bar and restaurant area. The hotel is in a quiet pedestrianized street and the room was clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and we were able to leave our bags in the reception area after checkout while we went for the car and a final drink before setting off. Checkout at noon instead of the more usual 11am was also very convenient.
Cons: Parking in the area around the hotel was impossible and the hotel garage was full as we had not booked in advance. However, although the hotel street is essentially a pedestrian precinct, it is possible to drive up part of it almost to the hotel door to unload bags or for people with mobility issues.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel check in was swift and the staff were very helpful. Paid €5 for each motorbike to use the underground secure parking, which was great. €19pp to use the spa facilities which were just fantastic. Heated outdoor swimming pool was free to use. Jaca is just a short walk away which was good as we stayed on a Wednesday and both the bar and restaurant are closed on a Wednesday, so beware. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Look forward to our next stay.
Cons: Restaurant closed on Wednesdays.

Pros: Only a one night stop so had all you need. Bit of a walk in to centre of Jaca

Pros: Every thing
Cons: Not much
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Parking facilities for bike, swimming pool and outside area. The apartment was spacious and well equipped.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the secure underground parking. The motorbike space that they provided included a room where i could put any belongings that I did not need in the hotel. The outside pool was great. The room came with your own kitchen with all the utensils provided. This was great.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Apartment room is fantastic and the location would be more suited to spend a few days to explore the Pyrenees rather than the single night stop that we did. Pleasant walk into town, easy access to main roads, secure underground parking.
Cons: A little early in season, so the bar, restaurant and pool were not open. No bar and restaurant meant we had no choice but to go into town. Not even a vending drinks or snacks on site. All kitchen facilities available except for a kettle which was annoying. Staff need to learn local area as we asked for closest shop to get some food and drink and was told in town (15 minutes walk), but there is a massive supermarket just 5 minutes walk towards the main road, which we only saw the next morning when we went there to fill up.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Nothing, but a Gym would top it off

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was perfectly clean with lovely shower and comfy bed. Staff were so nice, helpful and friendly. Breakfast and lunch in the hotel were lovely. Great location.
Cons: Our room was a little noisy on one or two mornings- with the elevator and front door close by and deliveries or rubbish collection in the street (a sign in the hall to ask guests to be quiet on the stairs would be helpful) - but this was only occasional and not a real problem for us.

Pros: Overnight stay on our way back home. Hotel was nice, staff friendly, place was clean. Nothing over the top about the place but was good for our purpose. As the temperatures were extremely hot that week, the air conditioning was greatly appreciated. Under ground parking was a plus for our motorbikes and secure.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I am a lone female traveling in Spain. Had no preconceived ideas of what type town this would be. It’s wonderful. The location is very good in that it’s only a 15 to 20 minute walk with backpack and wheeled luggage from train station. Easy walk into town as well. Room was clean, modern and comfortable. Loved the shower! Couple running the hotel made sure I knew how to get around (their orientation to the town was excellent. I decided to stay here because I was interested in seeing an old monastery, San Juan de la Pena, a stunning structure whose game is that it once held the Holy Grail. There are no excursions for doing this, so they suggested a taxi (60€ round trip, plus under 10€ admission fee to the site- discounts for the admission fee was available to seniors and pilgrims holding the Camino credential (to pilgrims— you will love their sello). Besides the monastery, there are several churches worth a visit, as is a walk through of the citadel- forteleza

Pros: Secure garage for motorcycles.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I really enjoyed my stay here. The room is of a good quality and layout. The bathroom is the same, good quality fittings and high standard of finish. Everywhere was spotless, the bed very comfortable. I was able to park my motorcycle in the garage for a small charge. I stayed for 3 nights and felt very at home here. Great location for the city centre and touring the area.
Cons: The room, top floor would be a little small for two as one side of the bed is against the wall. I was travelling solo so no problem for me. The shower doesn't stop part of the bathroom floor getting flooded.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was close to the old town - less than 10 minutes walk. So many great bars if you're into tapas. And just 30 minutes drive to the Pyrenees and the French border. Nice view from the small balcony.

Pros: Roby was a great host, what a special place he has up there! The view was breathtaking, his house he built himself (!) is rustic and charming. My baby loved feeding the sheep in the morning. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner which Roby whipped up for us including some super tasty local cuisine made from a type of pepper.
Cons: The road to get up there is a little bit hair raising but it was part of the adventure and we arrived and departed unscathed, wing mirrors intact. ;)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location in the countryside. Absolutely peaceful and my daughter enjoyed herself immensely helping with the animals. Initially I was disconcerted as I did not realise that Albergue does not mean hotel but more like a sort of hostel for backpackers. However Robbie and his assistant are marvellous and two extremely nice and interesting people. One of the highlights of our summer holiday in Spain.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: the best was the location and our host.

Cons: after about 5pm the pool and garden are in the shade, be aware that hotels in this area may only open their pools in July and August I have seen a few reviews of people turning up in June/September to find the pools closed so if this is important to you check the dates before you book

8.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s a very good place to stay with family. The family room is quite spacious with clean. There is a swimming pool too, kids enjoyed playing in it.
Cons: Bathroom/toilet could use an upgrade, it was all clean though.
7.5 Good
Pros: A superficially nice modern hotel hotel with a good location but it had its problems (see below).
Cons: Very small bathroom. Scalding hot water at times with no cold at all. A breakfast which Abraham Lincoln might have called pretty tough, pretty mean. It started ludicrously late too: 8 o’clock.Paper thin walls through which one could hear ones neighbors breathing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Large room with seating area, good views, very convenient location.
Cons: Decor a little tired.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice welcome, I was told to put my bicycle in the bedroom. I have a light bicycle so the small lift was no problem.. If you have a heavily laden bike consider unpacking first. Huge and comfortable bedroom. Dinner in dining room ok and huge buffet breakfast.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely traditional hotel in Jaca. Excellent staff and bar / cafe facilities. Pool is very welcome. Free secure parking for motorcycles. Second time here and we'll be back!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Regular visitors to this hotel as we like the comfort, size of the rooms and the underground car park. This time we were given a room overlooking the main road at the front but with the double glazing and blinds it did not disturb us. This time we arrived very early, but the staff worked to get the room ready for us so we could check in early. Rooms are large with a sitting area as well as the bed room which made it even more comfortable.
Cons: Swimming pool was empty but we were there very early in the season.

Pros: Convenient location to centre of town and secure garage close by to park our motorbikes.
Cons: Shower, more like a few trickles ! Breakfast buffet layout badly managed, filter coffee passable at best, I think a better breakfast option would be go to one of nearby cafe/bar/resturants.

Pros: The hotel is located in a central position, close to bars & restaurants. a short walk to all that Jaca has to offer. Overnight parking (20.00-10.00) is free on the road outside the hotel, pay to park the rest off the time. A very pleasant hotel with very friendly staff.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanliness, comfortable beds.
Cons: Avoid third floor rooms during summer. Black roof, so a sauna sensation during the night.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It is one of the cutest and cosiest hotels of this range in which I have stayed. It oozes unknowing vintage charm. Extremely clean. I loved it.
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly and helpful hosts who understand motorcyclists needs, so a secure garage space was provided for our bikes. Perfect location right on the centre of town. The breakfast was self serve but good. The bathroom was good with good water pressure etc.
Cons: Nice people but sadly I have to say the rooms are incredibly old fashioned and basic, to the point you have to laugh. My room felt like a convent dorm...not that I've been in one lol. There was a regular booming noise that sounds like it must be an ancient boiler kicking in ever 20 minutes or so.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful owner who gave us plenty of advice regarding our route over the Pyrenees. Great breakfast too
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ambience and friendly staff.

Pros: The staff were friendly and cheerful although at first it seemed that we were unexpected. That sorted out we were given two adjoining rooms on the 2nd floor. They were clean and spacious with balconies overlooking a fine terraced garden, complete with bar and excellent views of the nearby mountains.
Cons: I cannot fault the location, staff or facilities.

7.0 Good
Pros: Good location, friendly staff, nice restaurant with a good priced menu. Staff very helpful when we had a problem, sorted the problem out efficiently and quickly. The room was nice and quirky it was a 2 storey. You entered into a room with a single bed used as a sofa with TV on a table and a wardrobe. Then up a narrow staircase to a double bedroom with shower room. The room was clean and adequate for a one night stopover.
Cons: The hot water in the bathroom took ages to come through. It would have been useful to have that information in the room. The bed was to firm for us and the light at the stop stairs didn’t work, so no light on the stairs when it was dark.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room very comfortable and the hotel interestingly furnished. Lovely garden area to enjoy an evening drink.
Cons: I probably made wrong choice of meal as the starter not too good but my wife's was excellent! However main course and dessert was good, and the house rioja excellent.

Cons: didn't find a common room ?
7.0 Good
Pros: easy parking with possibility of parking the car inside the structure. Kindness of staff.... a little bit disappointed in not finding soap or shampoo in the bathroom. Other than that for the price you pay its fine
7.5 Good
Pros: Place clean with large rooms & facilitys.
Cons: No towels provided but provided some at no cost when asked. That was because we didn't understand how Hostels work.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Friendly welcome from the man only. Big room, big bathroom, quiet and airy, nice views, and reasonable price .... well, we thought so, but then no towels, no toiletries, no soap whatsoever, and no kettle for tea or coffee!
Cons: We didn’t like the fact that there was no soap, no kettle and no towel. That doesn’t cost so much, compared to a TV in every room!! Also, the pillows and duvets covers required washing, they were stained and smelly. Happily there were clean sheets in the cupboard. So, overall we were disappointed and wouldn’t plan to come back unless those points were addressed. It would be worth paying a bit more somewhere else.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant staff was very kind and heartful
Cons: The check-in process was complicated
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and welcoming staff and clean functional rooms and facilities. Good very basic buffet breakfast to fuel up for a big bike ride.

Pros: Centrally located inexpensive accommodation. Good for a night or two.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very good value. No frills but if you need a bed for the night its perfect.
