Pros: The person at the front desk was extremely helpful and it fulfilled our purpose for an overnight quite well.
Cons: It wasn't the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in, but it was clean and comfortable so I can't really complain.
Pros: The continental breakfast was sufficient.
Cons: The hallway smelled like cigarette smoke. I had a bag of frozen corn in my refrigerator/freezer.. Not sure how that got missed when they cleaned?
Pros: Staff. Location.
Cons: Dripping bathtub faucet.
Days Inn Keene is located at Monadnock Market Place, shopping and dining across the street. Coffeemaker, Hair Dryer, Iron and Ironing Board, Free Wireless Internet, Safe and Microwave and Refrigerator in all rooms. Fitness Room, Free Deluxe Continental Breakfast. Business Center. Pets allowed with fee.
Pros: Great for skiing or hiking--clean shower, decent mattress, and a supply of trashy paperbacks. If you are expecting a typical b&b, this is not it. We loved Rick's & Diane's Pizza across the street, and there is a friendly Dunkin Donuts for morning
Cons: Much more like a Motel 6 than a b&b, but that's what we needed. The Hotel Employees were super-nice, and the kids loved that we were allowed to let ourselves in and out--'That door unlocking sounds like Chewbacca!'
I wasn't able to use much of what the Inn offered due to my time constraints however, the one breakfast I had was generous portioned omelet (I had to ask Pat to make it two egg as I was supposed to be at a breakfast meeting that morning!) and plenty of coffee! My room was pleasant but then I'm used to living in residences that are typically a century+ old, meaning, I'm used to slanted floors; I count it as part of the charm of an older building. Inn was a little out of my way for my purposes but it is near some seriously lovely scenery. Noted interesting antique shops nearby as well. About 15 minutes north of Peterborough, half hour from Dublin.
Pros: Met Patrick, cook on site; very personable. Room was very large and comfortable.
Cons: A little dated but could also be counted as part of its charm
The Owner- Inn keeper made us feel at home and like family. Each breakfast was carefully made and presented on time with pleasant conversation and impeccable timing. I will happily recommend this Inn to anyone looking for a memorable experience.
Pros: This charming antique Inn was a real treat from the start to check out. The Inn was great in itself, but the owner Inn-keeper made the entire experience unforgettable. She made the beds, cleaned the room, greeted us at the door with big smiles!!
When visiting Antrim, Maplehurst Inn is a great choice to consider. Guests looking for a bite to eat can check out the restaurant, and the bar/lounge is the perfect spot to grab a drink at the end of the day.
