This is a small place run by competent and friendly staff who provide excellent information for visitors to Liverpool. It doesn't have an attractive facade but don't be deceived by that.
Room was well decorated and staff were very helpful and friendly.
Friendly and very helpful staff. The room smelt of smoking by previous guests.
fantastic quality/price! is not different from Ibis or similar budget chains, but costs much less, has a parking, some breakfast at no additional charges and is rather conveniently located if you travel by car
Quiet hotel, carefull staff,
Nice, clean and friendly hotel
Small and friendly family run hotel. Basic with improvements been made all the time. Really comfy bed and fab fluffy duvet. Rooms are great, have everything you need, but would benefit from a little more decor.
Superfriendly staff, nice&clean rooms, breakfast included, definitely freat value for money
The owner was really helpful, the rooms were very spacious, nice decor, clean and comfortable. Lovely room just off reception where we could make our own breakfast, all supplied by the hotel. would definitley recommend It's situated on a busy road, not much in the area, but it's on a regular bus route into the city centre, and taxis are only about £5
Plane was late and waited up for me and was very pleasnt
Beautiful room, everything was very clean. It was a bit far from the city centre.
The staff went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
Quiet and spacious rooms, comfortable four single beds. delicious breakfast. really worthy! I'm happy to recommend it to my friends. Nothing.
this hotel had a few plus points that we had easy access to our room and could come and go as we pleased the hotel is postioned in a very poor location in around alot of rundown buildings. there was no secure parking at the place apart from the road outside which didnt seem safe. its advertised as being above a busy pub, this is not true as the pub wasnt open at all for the wkend that we stayed. very poor accomodation for £160 a night which we paid.
Simple room. Just needed a place to sleep.
Not a whole lot to like about the place the best thing about it was being able to get a taxi in 2 min. The staff were nice!
Helpfull staff, no problems Further out of town than I expected but ok
There was nothing to like about it, except that the one member of staff that we met was doing her best. It wasn't her fault that the premises was more like a homeless shelter. The condition of the rooms and building was not acceptable for paying guests. The taxi driver plus the food delivery guy had a big problem finding this out of the way and badly lit building.
we were left alone breakfast was at 10.00 we arrived at 10.10 and the door was locked. we went to the cafe on the corner. The blog says the bar is busy etc. The bar has ceased to trade
Friendly welcome. Large comfortable bed. Breakfast good.
value for money and helpful information on local places of interest etc.
This was a well run bed and breakfast with a comfortable bedroom together with ensuite shower. We have a very good English breakfast. The siting was just a short bus ride away.l
Owners very helpful. Hotel near to local transport. Restaurants close by. Within reasonable walking distance of city centre. Very quiet location. Slightly older persons staying at the premises making for a quiet peaceful stay. The bathroom slightly on the small side. Wardrobe limited to amount of space.
The room was very clean and comfortable the hosts were very freindly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.
It was a bed and breakfast not an hotel This stay was in a Bed and Breakfast not an Hotel. I thought it was an Hotel and I expected some help with my luggage as the room was on the 2nd floor. There was no Lounge, and we did not like ordering our breakfast the night before. The room wardrobe was very small, there was only one chair and it was difficult to put the cases down let alone open them. The Shower holder was broken, and there was not enough shelf space to take the ordinary items and sponge bags. Below you ask me if I would would recomend this hotel when it is a Bed & Breakfast
Clean, comfortable, friendly serive, good location for exploring the city
The room was nice, bed comfortable and a good sized shower. Hostess was always helpful and breakfasts well organised. Enjoyed my stay there. All ok.
It's clean and warm. Breakfast is good quality and there's good choice. It's a fifteen minute walk into the city centre. There is a good chinese restaurant within 5 minutes walk and also a decent bar at a nearby hotel, open to the public. B&B's are 'quirky' because the owners do things to suit their own lifestyle. We didn't know this was a b&b so we were disappointed by one aspect of our stay. At Brooklands guests have to order their breakfast the day before and say what time they'd want it. Rooms are cleaned between 10am -12pm. For some people, including us, part of the pleasure/indulgence of being on a 'leisure' break is not having to dance to some one elses's tune, involving advance decisions commonly associated with a mundane working week.
nice warm welcome and lovely breakfast. very helpful and informative owners. comfortable stay
The staff were so freindly and the was always someone around if you needed any assistance.
The location was excellent for a city break.
The Breakfast was good, accomodated my early start. Notes on the reservation ignored, asked for a room away from the road. Main road noise wasn't helped, as the rooms are only single glazed. Also, note the Hotel has a popular bar area... and thus the noise from this does come through to the guest rooms.
Friendly staff good food excellent location Room very basic heating did not work the first night, window would not close so was disturbed by traffic late evening early moring maybe next time a room at the back would be better
Staff and food first class Bedrooms could do with being upgraded.
Good location. Good breakfast Room clean Room smelt a little stale. Shower in room was poor-kept going hot and cold and inadequate flow
Handy for Hoole shopping centre (A short street of busy small shopkeepers) An easy walk to the centre of Chester (on a dry day).Breakfast was hot! Their success means the bar and patio is crowded in the evenings. Dont sit by the door the smokers use at the back of the hotel.
Very good location only 15mins walk to centre, the zoo which is a great day out is only 10mins away by car.The breakfast was very good and everything in the room that you needed. The only bad point is the traffic better to have a room at the back.
Room clean with comfortable beds. Excellent Breakfast, very attentive staff. Had a very good bar meal too. Only thing was having to walk through busy bar to access rooms.
