The hotel was located very close to lake neuchatel in a quieter part is town a few minutes walk from the centre
Like the rest of the area the price was high for what you got compared to UK prices
My room on the top floor was spacious and quiet, with lovely views from the dormer windows of mountains and sea. The staff was pleasant and friendly, the atmosphere was comfortably low-key, and the location was convenient to the town centre (on foot or by tram) but far enough away to avoid the noise.
Unfortunately, I arrived during an unusual heat wave, and even with a rotating floor fan running non-stop, the un-air-conditioned space was so stultifyingly hot that it was all but unbearable, even at night ... especially as a sign tacked to the window advised against opening it with the lights on because of mosquitoes. The room had few amenities and no safe. The bathroom sink also was very slow to drain and needed unclogging.
rstaurant service was not so friendly
Large, clean rooms. Good breakfast. Cool vibe.
Friendly staff. I had a problem with a noise in the bathroom, and I could directly change rooms.
It was a short walk from the funicular that takes you to the train station. The buffet breakfast was included in the room rate and it was very good.
My room was available much before the published check in time. All areas of the hotel are clean and tidy. Room looked newly renovated. The hotel is modern in apperance. Breakfast is basic but plentiful
Close to town centre and lake
Good location (the lake, the funicular are two minutes walking), good taste design.
The hotel is situated from one side, close to beutiful lake, from other side is easy to go to from the railway station (funicular line station is about 60 m). The hotel has a good style of design.
The reception hall is not large enough. But for the 3 stars hotel it's good.
