close to destination, excellent price/performance, good breakfast rooms was failry small, especially of my collegue
The location near the beautuful town square
Nice little hotel in the centre of the town. Clean and well maintained. Just a few small things: nobody at reception and door locked when we arrived at 2030 but keys were in a key safe but there was no indication when booked. No blind or curtain to keep the daylight out. Lift only to the second floor, third floor access on stairs
A comfortable hotel with a good parking arrangement. No meals available in the hotel other than breakfast.
nice room Restaurant is not open. Bit far from center
Clean and Tidy, Great Breakfast and Good value for money 15 minute walk to town.
There was no mini bar / fridge in both rooms that I stayed in.
I loved the location of the Goldene Traube. It's within walking distance of everything and it was easy to locate.
the restaurant Esszimmer was fabulous - excellent food and really great staff. The furnishing and design of the suite were rather strange - 1970s with cheaper "motel" looking furniture. There were 3 different floor levels in the bedroom and bathroom making moving around the room without the lights on a dangerous exercise! If you don't want to carry heavy bags a long way beware - there was no lift and a long treck to the room where our children were (no offer to have the bags taken to the rooms either).
Excellent value high quality hotel in centre of Coburg. Two very good restaurants (food and service wise - decor a little uninteresting). Quiet at night. Best place in Coburg. Daniel was very helpful. Bed a bit hard.
The staff were very courteous and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent .Very near town centre and amenities. Air conditioning would have been a bonus ,as I am unaccustomed to the humid heat when I stayed there
The service was good, the hotel had a good atmosphere, the people were friendly, within walking distance to the city center, market, restaurants and public transport. The hotel needs an elevator. If the hotel had one, where was it?
Hi-tech hotel! Friendly personnel. We complained when our room was not cleaned, The director intervened and made sure it was tidy later on. The next day it was cleaned used towels taken, but no fresh towels. We just got fed up, we used our own towel. It seems the hotel is on some sort of shoe string budget!!
Value for money No
New clean hotel easy to find while on main road so as a nice atmosphere in the restaurant with a pretty good diner (choice). Still loud enough even if countryside through trailer traffic in the morning.
The room we stayed in was nice, clean and not too small for three persons. The third bed really was good - the best on our whole trip. The sauna was large, relaxing and very clean. Our room was located on a side where trains pass at a distance of about 150 metres. Because of that one cannot sleep with open windows, because the trains also pass during the night. The breakfast buffet was sufficient, but not greaty sorted. Nothing was replenished and when having breakfast later in the morning the scrambled eggs were on all three mornings old and cold.
Good hotel. Nice and friendly staff. Rooms according to German standards: Clean, well equiped and enough space. Breakfast very good and free parking near the hotel
This is a lovely little German country style hotel. It was well located for us to see Kronac, Kulmbach and Bayreuth which are interesting centres in the Bavarian countryside. Many of the other guests were doing cycling holidays in Bavaria so it is clearly a hotel well known to the locals. We enjoyed our German countryside experience. For international guests, it is best to know that many of the staff did not speak any English so you do need to be comfortable with sign language and smiles.
Very clean, modern hotel. Free parking. Excellent restaurant, great prices. Superb staff who made the family feel welcomed. Burgkunstadt is a small town in the middle of nowhere. Shower only, no bath. Small picture-tube TV. Wi-fi signal too weak for use in room (fine in foyer)
It was great!!! I cant find any disadvantages!!!
Friendly staff (made us schnitzels even though the kitchen was closed). Wall-to-wall carpet smelled. Not even a soap bar provided. Bed covers suitable for a mountain cabin in mid-winter (quite hot in July).
A clean, orderly, privately-owned hotel with friendly staff in a reasonably quiet location. Clean, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast for a traditional hotel. Excellent value for money.
friendly atmosphere, nice people, good rooms, enjoyable change from all those standard issue business hotels no particular comments
Good staff and very good restaurant. Tiny bath-room, very noisy room. My rate is 7 but mainly thanks to the staff and food. If I would evaluate just a room then I would rate 5.
Quiet, friendly, straihj-forward The dinner menu consisted of highly complex made-up suggestions. Not much choice to alter/complement. Very limited choice of side dishes - starch only, no veg, no side salad
Corburg is a jewel of a town. "Real". Hotel location excellent Wifi didn't work in our room. Room and hotel in need of some repair
Proximity to centre of town.
The location was perfect for going downtown, specifically to the Landes Theater. Also, the hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. One morning the shower water was not hot and the hotel doors were a little thin.
Great location. It advertised wireless but the signal was so weak it did not work most of the time. It was very noisy.
We had a room in a quiet location away from the main street. Bed was low to the ground making it difficult for me to rise from it. bad knees.
Good stuff, good location.
The location was good, but that's about the only good thing. Maybe the breakfast can also e considered decent. The bathroom was not very clean, the room was small, dark, with broken furniture, the window could not be permanently closed, no space for luggage.
Great location and huge room.Especially nice breakfast with someone even cooking us eggs to order.
breakfest, soft cooked eggs information about the HotSpot - this is solely T-Mobile WiFi Hotspot
The Hotel was just across from the train station, very convenient for visiting Sonneberg and other towns of South Thueringen. Lauscha is beautiful and famous for glassware. The Hotel was very modern and clean, the buffet breakfast was good, and the staff friendly. It wasn't as easy as I'd hoped to get an evening meal as it had to be booked before 5.30pm each day and I never knew whether I would want it or not as I was meeting up with friends elsewhere. Otherwise: great! Good value, especially for a single.
- My bathroom was horrible (pee left in toilet, smelled of urine, extremely dated, hair everywhere, toilet seat did not look clean, towels badly need to be replaced, I was so horrified I used bottled water to brush my teeth), - entire room was dated, - breakfast did not have a very good selection
Easy access, parking, clean and spacious room, good kitchen, kind staff The bathroom needs modernization.
Good location.Good staff. Excellent hotel restaurant.
Great food, quiet location
We loved the local nature of the hotel . It was truly German. The staff were delightful and attentive. The Bar and Food were available all day, and served really good, well cooked good food. There are well marked foot and cycle paths, with lovely views from them. We would love to go back. Nothing at all.
