Staff all vcery helpful clean and tidy Shower in room didnt have a curtain so water went all over the bathroom.
Efficient, clean, comfortable
Nice cosy warm room, -2 outside.
Conveniance of hotel No retuaarant
the location and surrounding countryside is fantastic, the room served its purpose and my children loved the upstairs bedrooms.
Tea and coffee making in the room would be an advantage
the hotel was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent value for money
Cheap Room very small. Location. Far from anywhere.
Good clean hotel, easy walk to town centre with a great view of the old town. Good breakfast selection.
Stayed one night enroute home from Spain. Good location in pleasant town. Ideal as stopover point as aprox half way to Calais Room was very stuffy and airless.
The castel and the out side The inside and the Restaurant
The location and the food Difficult to find the entrance and no tea or coffee facilities in room.
The hotel is in a stunning setting and has been fully restored to an historic French Chateau. Quality french cuisine is served in the restaurant but is quite costly; A two course meal for two people was €120 and breakfast €16 per person. This would be a fantastic, idyllic location for a wedding.
Very clean and comfortable rooms, pleasant and helpful staff and the option of hot drinks facility in the room.
Nice setting. Easy to find. Checked in late (2145). No English spoke & my French is so so. Asked if we could get a coffee, but wasn't interested. Mini bar in room, only 1 beer, some soft drinks and crisps. No tea/coffee facilities. When you arrive in darkness, very badly lit from where car is parked.
Only the location which was breathtaking for views of the countryside. The meal we were served on the first evening was awful, very poor in quality and cooking to ones liking. The menu is a set price, either €32 or €42 each with three choices of main course. The second night we went to a Restaurant Grill, across the road from the Chateau entrance and had a really super meal much cheaper than at the Chateau.
The Chateau, grounds and surrounding area were beautiful, we found it a welcome break from our journey from the UK to Spain. Unfortunately the rooms were going through a refurbishment and were lacking in some facilities.
The food and the location The room was somewhat shabby; broken light switch, noisy fridge, 2 light- bulbs not working. The bed was very uncomfortable and noisy (loose joints), this was reported to the hotel the following morning.
wifi very exp.
Clean comfortable room in beautiful surroundings and at the right place for an overnight stop on our way to Spain Plain Walls in the room. Dinner menu is poor value for money. Breakfast should be in a light room not in a darkened space.
Good, clean and comfortable accomodation with helpful and pleasant staff. The information about the hotel did not make it clear that it was situated in the lower town, making the task of finding difficult.
Friendly helpful staff Good breakfast / dinner choice Alongside busy road - though this did not affect us
Nothing in particular Beds were even worse than the average French beds. Rooms badly needed fresh air. Carpets were completely worn.
Excellent restaurant Tax not quoted in prices
A quiet location in the bottom town of Saint flour, more to see and do in the upper town but still bars and restaurants nearby. The shower was very poor.
Hotel could perhaps do with a bit of modernisation but worth staying just for the restaurant, haute cuisine at a reasonable price. The location is excellent but beware of the garage if you have a large car, the entrance is tiny!
Easy access, friendly, courteous staff, english spoken (though not really necessary for us); able to have a window open during the night, yet private outlook was a big plus I can't really see why identical rooms except one is facing street, and one the back, are worth €10 (approx) difference. We were not to know that this towns street was a quiet street, we chose the view of the hill, but in hindsight, it did not matter.
It was comfortable and good value for money. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent.
Very nice hotel: friendly, pleasant staff. Room was very clean ,good size and comfortable, and the bathroom clean and efficient. Many three star amenities such as refrigerator in the room.Wonderful view of Viaduc from our room.Excellent for families, offfering indoor pool, childrens' playground, plus canoes and large boats for toruing the lake.Very good restaurant, good value for money. Breakfast also afforable and worth the money. We would stay here again to explore the area.
The location is spectacular and the staff very friendly and willing to assist. They were not averse to speaking English so everything was sorted fairly easily. The menu had a good choice as we are mainly fish eaters, prices were reasonable. The rooms do not have excellent sound proofing as could hear the occupant of the adjacent room snoring during the night. No air coditioning or fan, room a bit warm during night. The hotel could do with some minor refurbishment as a bit past its prime.
Fabulous view of the lake and viaduct-- very good meal and wine price.Covered pool even on hot day-- will visit again !!!
Friendly staff and nice location with view of the Eiffel designed Viaduct. The breakfast was typical French continental - nice but not filling - ok at the price of 7,50 euro Internet Wi-Fi functions well. We didn't use the restaurant - the menu looked good, but a bit pricey. We stayed end of season and it was cold, the rooms have single pane glass, and beds are provided with sheet and blankets, not warm enough - we had our duvets in the car and used them too. I don't recommend staying here at beginning or end of season, as it can be cold and you won't be able to use the nice outside facilities (pool, terrace etc.)
Great reception on booking in. Great location. Dinner in restaurant disappointing and staff detached. Gave breakfast a miss.
Hotel close to the motorway. Easy booking in process and friendly staff.
The address was very difficult to find. Satnav could not find the address.
Value for money
Loacted in a nice area of France, staff where very friendly and we could not fault the room
Clean and comfortable -good value.
Very clean and excellent decor, all looked new The air conditioning unit kept us awake all night - making clicking noises. Also, not just our air con units, we could hear next door too. A shame as it let down our overall impression. On this basis I would not recommend the hotel.
good car parking Map does not show accurately the location
Clean, tidy and comfortable. Details of how to find it were sketchy and the address didn't feature in our SatNav - but if you head for McDonalds in the Commerical Zone it's just opposite.
Easy to find, Handy to shops, Park outsideroom, Large rooms
the motel formule no
Good access to motorway, unfortunatly arrival was after dinner,(11pm) and there was no oppotunity to experince the restaurant facilities The buffet breakfast was the same as continental, but cost more
The hotel was nice and clean and the staff were friendly The location of the hotel was quite remote, also the restaurant was expensive.
We have used this hotel several times as a one night autoroute stop and the owner always remembers us. The general atmosphere is friendly, the rooms are comfortable and the food is excellent. NO !!!!
We chose this hotel as a stop off en-route to the South of France, we didn't want an F1 or similar but didn't want to pay a fortune. It is only half a mile form the A75 but in lovely countryside. It has a comfortable, friendly bar with a few locals in. Good relaxed atmosphere, after a long drive on a hot day you can have cold beer at the bar or out on the terrace. Welcome was friendly but efficient, room was very comfortable with an excellent bed best I have had for some years. Be aware the restaurant menu is not cheap but the food is very good. The cheapest was €20p/p for 2 courses With the room @ only €58 for 2 you soon spend more than the room. It is a great stop-off and we would use it again. Hope this helps.
Very good location, near to the motorway in a pleasant rural village. Great rural views. Very clean and comfortable. Restaurant rather pretentious, but v good food for dinner. Fight hard for the house wine if you want it at dinner, and they will very reluctantly let you have it! Breakfast poor for the price.
the food and the swimmingpool christmas decorations in the summertime
The staff at Le Rocher Blanc were really friendly and helpful. The decor was quirky and fascinating. The rooms were individually detailed and the beds were very comfortable. The dinner menu was excellent and we thought good value for money. Great advice on wine choice too. We were travelling through France and the proximity to the motorway was very convenient - easy to find.
The very nice indoor swimming pool in the neighbouring barn. The overall decoration of the hotel and rooms.
Staff were very helpfull, Room was Clean & comfortable; The¨"Le Rocher Blanc Experience" was one to be repeated when I am next in the area, preferably for more than 1 night Unavailability of Wi-Fi in my room (Due to location I think)
The views are fantastic the service was good staff are very helpful and the food was ok,the room was clean,Iwould stay again. The only dislike was the lack of disabled facilities, you cant get to the lift because of a 6'' step and the lift is too small to take a wheelchair
Good view, friendly staff, good breakfast ( and evening restaurant) Tiny bathroom
Extremely friendly and helpful staff made the stay most enjoyable. Spectacular location in a charming old village with the typical wealth of genuine mediaeval features that make this part of France so different. Magnificent views from both the restaurant and the bedroom. No
Fantastic position at on the side of the hill looking down into the valley. Great view from our room and from the restaurant. Comfortable and clean room. Staff were very friendly and helpful
Clean & comfortable. Adequate for an overnight stay.
Very pleasant area, easy to access from motorway, easy access to interesting town of St Flour. Very limited menu for evening meals - a long way to travel for sausage & mash! At breakfast you have to eat what the proprietor provides - no choice!
Accomodation and food excellent. Proprietor initially grumpy, but later redeemed himself.
Excellent value for money, the owners / managers are obviously determined to up grade the hotel with good quality furnishings, food was also good. Nothing
This was OK for what we wanted, evening meal very good. Breakfast was simple no choice
