Cons: Door were very heavy and loud when closing.
Odd bathroom door design, tough for privacy with a family.
Omlets were good, but staff could not keep up with demand. Either offer them and keep up or don't offer them.

Pros: Ask me what I didn't like I loved everything
Pros: I do like the atmosphere and location of this hotel.
Cons: They forgot to freshen up our room. We came back after being out for the day to find the bed not made and no fresh Towels.
Pros: The Club option is nice...quite a refuge from a horrible room.
Cons: Couldn't check in until 5:00 despite the 3:00PM check in time. Tub and sink had hair in them. Bedding was ripped.
Pros: Beautiful hotel with tons of character and charm. Good service, friendly staff, comfortable accommodations. Hotel lobby bar and Blu were excellent. Complimentary breakfast in the Cafe offered good food and full choice of anything on menu. Onsite amenities such as spa, shops and additional restaurants offer an extra touch.
Cons: For the price of the rooms, wifi was not free. Given the necessity in today's day and age, not to mention that it is complimentary in many more basic hotels, this was a big let down. Especially when service in the tower is spotty for mobile without Wifi. It felt like a nickeled and dimes amenity. Clientele felt a bit uppity.
Pros: We booked a last-minute room at the Pfister and loved our stay from start to finish. The room was beautiful and clean with a great view, service was stellar, and the location could hardly be improved. It doesn't hurt that the hotel is where we stayed after getting engaged! Great experience and we will definitely stay again next time we're in Milwaukee.
Cons: Pretty much perfect.
Pros: This is a beautiful hotel
Cons: We had the $200 room. No fridge or extra sink. I thought it was a little lacking for a luxury hotel. I guess we should of upgraded.
Pros: Old school charm and service
Cons: The decor, the people and the vibe.
Pros: Beautiful historic hotel. Comfortable, clean and we enjoyed our stay.
Pros: Loved the ambience in the lobby. The room we stayed in was clean with a great view is the lake.
Cons: Have to pay for wifi in this current age of free WiFi everywhere.
Pros: The hotel is clean, excellent amenities, friendly staff and good good location. I'd stay again and recommend it to others.
Pros: Amazing hotel. Everything was 5 star.
Pros: It was great, and the spa was excellent. The view was good from the room.
Cons: Was surprised Internet was not complimentary.

Pros: The Iron Horse Hotel has a very industrial, contemporary decor that is AMAZING! Every detail is considered!!
Pros: Whole experience from check in to check out was incredible. Rooms were very large, extremely comfortable, well appointed and stocked. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive to all of our requests
Pros: My wife and I stayed at the Iron Horse Hotel for a short weekend getaway from Chicago. We loved the hotel. The food at Smyth was great; don't miss the goat cheese appetizer and pork belly. The bar was also a really nice touch; the decor was all dark leather/wood and the cocktails were great. The staff for the entire hotel were some of the best I have seen and I stay in hotels 3-4 nights a week for business.
Cons: The only reason I gave the hotel 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the dog policy. We live in a high-rise in downtown Chicago that allows dogs, so we weren't expecting to be bothered by a little noise. However, there were multiple occasions when dogs would be crying and howling (most likely from being left alone in an unfamiliar room) early in the morning and late at night. This wasn't the best for our romantic weekend away, but wouldn't stop me from visiting the Iron Horse Hotel in the future.
Pros: I stay in hotels all over the country and this place was one of a kind. If you like motorcycles, staying here is a no brainer. You're a short walk away from the HD Museum and the feel and decor of the hotel has a rugged-modern vibe. I didn't get a chance to hang out at the bar but it looked like like a upbeat scene. Their signature restaurant was excellent.
Cons: That I didn't have my Harley with me!
Pros: comfortable bed and great shower. excellent location for getting about town.
Located in Fifth Ward, this romantic hotel is within 1 mi (2 km) of Great Lakes Distillery and BMO Harris Bradley Center. Milwaukee Art Museum and Discovery World are also within 2 mi (3 km).
Pros: They put us in a room with new carpet. I'm allergic to latex, so they immediately moved us to another room. Quiet, clean, friendly helpful staff (told us how to get to Train Fest at State Fair Park, asked if we had fun on return). Will stay there again.
Pros: The room was nice in size with good amenities. Fridge in room, spacious bathroom.
Cons: It was very loud till midnight due to Reception taking place directly below our room.I mentioned to desk & they could do nothing. I had to park far away from the hotel and haul my things about a city block. Cost of over $100 unacceptable due to the above
Pros: Great location! Near the interstate with a gas station and restaurants nearby
Cons: The nonsmoking room reeked of smoke
Cons: Couldn't find where to get breakfast and no bath tub.
Pros: everything was very well kept and there were two great restaurants within walking distance
Pros: Great hotel and close to I 94.
Cons: Would have liked to have the breakfast included in price.
Pros: Very nice common areas. Great atmosphere.
Cons: Charged for a breakfast that other hotels provide for free. They did serve real (not immitation) eggs which is certainly a plus.
Pros: manager very helpful
Pros: Nicely renovated and designed. Roomy, especially the bathroom.
Cons: The pool was way, way too cold. My wife said the hot tub was way too hot (unbearable). There are about 8 rooms whose windows look onto the indoor pool - we didn't stay there, but they must have been loud with pool noise; I would avoid those rooms.
Pros: The room was clean
Cons: The room didn't even have Microwave for heating any food
Cons: call for directions to hotel, our GPS couldn't locate the address. I asked the front desk and other guest have had a similar issue. Hotel was great, would stay there again

Pros: Staff was amazingly helpful. Simply over the top! Took a real interest in making sure they met all of our needs. Remembered who we were. Said hello every time we walked in the front door.
Pros: Loved the view, high ceilings, comfortable bed, room/suite size
Pros: The room and hotel was great looking and modern and the area was amazing!
Cons: The bests were a little too firm and stuff, the pull out sofa had a bar that went right where your back would be so keeping it folded up was more comfortable for my friend. The breakfast had potential but the eggs were extremely watery
Cons: They overbooked us so we were moved to a different hotel that was less convenient. Not a great experience but it could have been worse.
Cons: The hotel cancelled our reservation an hour before we were set to arrive, and this is after we received a reservation confirmation that morning. We were left scrambling to make alternate arrangements at the last minute and while on the road.
Pros: Room was comfortable and large. Location was great.
Cons: Was told breakfast ended at 9, at check in we were told it ended at 10. Minor inconvenience.
Pros: We liked the river being so close so we could go outside and sit on the benches there along the Walk. It was easier to walk to the events we were attending because the Residence Inn was located close enough to them. The Staff was friendly and professional and helpful. The AC was excellent!
Cons: The sofa bed was so rough on my cousin's back he was very sore the next morning. There were never enough towels so we had to ask for them several times and for the money we paid to stay there, the towels were thin, very non absorbent and rough on the skin. There weren't even any toiletries provided that even the cheap hotels have in their rooms! When the cleaning person came in, she/he removed the dirty glasses and cups in the sink and never brought any back. We actually would have preferred to NOT have the cleaning crew come in. We kept the room fairly cleaned up and could always call for whatever we needed. One bottle of water, a bottle of soda and a bag of chips cost $8 at the hotel desk so bring your own drinks and munchies!!

Cons: a bit of a drive to restaurants but not that bad.

Pros: Didn't get to stay there due to them overbooking and then rebooking me in another hotel just 10 mins before I arrived.
Cons: Didn't get to stay there due to them overbooking and then rebooking me in another hotel just 10 mins before I arrived.
Pros: The staff was great, hotel was clean and comfortable, easy access from the interstate. Jackson from house keeping went out of the way to make things right, he was wonderful!
Cons: While everything was clean, there were several places the carpeting was torn and pulling up, and there were no refrigerators in the rooms, when I asked, I was told they have a few that could be rented, but none were available....has been a long time since I have stayed in a hotel without one, was very surprised that a hotel of this "stature" would not have them...plenty of space available in the room...
Pros: My daughter loved the complimentary spa items; I hated them because I hate essential oils. ImpressI've hotel for the price.
Cons: When we arrived around 12:30pm Wednesday there was a room service tray outside of a door down the hall. Thursday morning it was still there, and the strawberry was so fuzzy with mold, I have to believe it had been there for days. It was gone by Thursday afternoon, however. The hall always seemed to be cluttered with housekeeping carts, and doors were left open to staff-only rooms that probably shouldn't have been open.
Pros: Good value. Good matress.
Cons: No closet, small wardrobe.
Pros: Rooms were clean and hotel is great for getting shuttled to and from Miller Park, the Zoo, and any other attraction within a 5 mile radius.
Cons: The shuttle service took too long to come and get us from the zoo. We were told it would only take 15 minutes. We called 20 minutes before we would be ready and the shuttle came 1 hour and 45 minutes later. So just call the shuttle plenty of time earlier than you need it to be safe.
Cons: No refrigerator in room or microwave
Pros: They were there when we arrived.
Cons: I questioned about a second night reservation and thought we had a nights stay reserved. When we returned the following night we found we did not have a reservation and that the second night would be much more costly than the first. We stayed elsewhere!!
Pros: Good location. Clean. Comfortable room. Staff was nice.

Pros: The care in reservation requests, comfort, great staff, cleanliness--all were great. And quietness of the rooms. We will be returning.
Pros: I gave it five stars because they wouldn't let me give it six!
Cons: I would be hard-pressed to find anything I didn't like about this place.
We had one mechanical issue in the room which was taken care of very promptly. Awesome service by Tim and the rest of the maintenance crew.
Pros: Staff was extremely nice

Pros: Breakfast seating area was big enough that even during busy times there were seats available.
Cons: In room coffee maker spewed hot steam straight out the front as it finished the brewing process. Told front desk, and it was suggested that I was probably doing something wrong.
Pros: The room was great and the whirlpool in the room was awesome!
Cons: The front desk staff was grumpy, unhelpful, and not present when we needed them to be there in order to check out.
Pros: Great staff and room was as expected.
Cons: Cups for juice at breakfast are really small....I used two.
Pros: Breakfast was great
Cons: Bumping us down to king rooms and had to purchase an extra room because of it!!
Pros: Really liked the breakfast.
Cons: The sofa bed was really uncomfortable. Very little sleep. The air conditioner was incredibly noisy. Every time it cut in it woke the person up in the King bed.
Pros: Very clean, awesome to get a fob from desk to go to Anytime
Great friendly staff and uplifting environment. Great free breakfast!
Pros: beautiful modern hotel!
Cons: they charged my credit card for incidentals upon arriving and didnt tell me they were going to charge me and still 3 days later the charge is still on my credit card and hasnt dropped off.
Pros: The breakfast
Cons: There is no vending machines, I paid 5.00 for 2 waters..... and 15.00 for ravioli, titi pasta, and spicy noodles all tasted stale and where out dated
I would totaly stay at this hotel again. Everything is well done, the room was comfortable, staff nice, and excellent breakfast.
Pros: The hotel is new. All the spaces are well done and it feels very nice. The location is great. The area seem nice with all newer hotels along the block.
Cons: The only real negative is the lighting on the hotel. The whole building is uplit at night. This is beautiful from the outside but when the light is shining up through your window its less nice. The led appliances in the room also really bright.
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful during stay at hotel
Cons: Age of hotel had slight odor from carpet in hallway and rooms
Pros: Only had one Restruant near hotel. More option is a plus as far as restaurants.
I was not provided what I was promised. I was promised free parking and a shuttle to and from the airport. With the shuttle to the airport on its way to pick me up (in less than 5 minutes), I was told that they no longer provide parking and even if it was available it was $20 extra. I was also told that it was Priceline's fault that I was promised something that they do not do. So, in my opinion Priceline and the hotel misrepresented what I was buying. In the end, they charged me $20 extra and they did allow me to park there. Fortunately my son was there to handle all the details, so I did not miss my plane.
Pros: it was clean.
Cons: It was not the hotel that was the problem.

Cons: The only issue I had was with the bathroom, the door had a huge gap at the bottom and no lock, the toilet looked like it was out of a public bathroom, and the the shower pressure was deplorable that it made showering challenging and long.
Pros: Great stay! Thanks Dan for the great service!!
The fitness center was good-I wished there was a lap pool.
Cons: The computers in the business center were slow and hard to get into the internet at times.
Pros: Ambiance and location were great. The corner room on the 15th floor had a great view.
Cons: Elevators could be quicker.
Pros: Everything was very clean and the staff were very helpful.
Cons: Expensive parking. Could've parked somewhere else in the city for much cheaper. There were a lot of business people there and no family attractions such as a pool.

Pros: The staff at the hotel were amazingly friendly, helpful, and seemed to truly care if we enjoyed our stay. A gentlemen name Lamont, allowed my 7 year old niece and I enjoy the pool an extra half hour after closing time. Most staff got to know my niece and I were staying there for a few days just the two of us while her parent worked, they live in Milwaukee and I was visiting from Colorado. A nice gal at the front even asked about our Geocache searches etc. Food was fabulous as well!
Cons: I really wouldn't change anything it was right on!
Pros: The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the shuttle service was easy to use.
Cons: Breakfast not included
Pros: The room set up was nice the bed and pillows very comfy. The bathroom was nice and clean. Hotel adequate for quick 1 night stay in an emergency.
Cons: Hotel is not downtown as claimed. Riverfront view deceiving per website pictures. The pool was 3.9 ft and staff I asked didn't even know they had a pool. Fitness room not open. Room trash can was not emptied. Only saw one staff member explain amenities hotel had to offer. When asked about hotel amenities was instructed its was a brochure in room this was not the case. No microwaves in room or hotel period. Even for a sale price of $100 a night not worth the stay should have been a $60 a night rate. Will not stay again pictures and description of hotel not accurate. Look elsewhere if you want to swim, be in the actual downtown area, warm up food and knowledgeable staff.
Pros: The hotel is being renovated and you were forced to walk through the area bring worked on and the only ones without Hard hats were the guests.
Cons: Having to walk through a construction zone is dangerously. The hotel should have been shut down during this portion of the renovation
Cons: Major major renovations. Initially thought it was closed. Could not find the lobby easily. Restaurant closed. Construction started early; luckily I was already awake and ends late. Had to walk through construction site. Guy with propane torch on ladder right above my head as I was leaving. The construction job would have been shut down if in Califiornia. Hotel should be shut down or they should give out construction helmets to guests.
Pros: The view from my room was spectacular due to all the fall colors along the river and from the Anchorage for dinner. The bed was fantastic, and on par with a Hilton regular traveler, so it was nice to see this location has kept those amazing beds. Hopefully their renovations don't change that. I had a King room, and it was spacious. The restroom is the only part that needed true attention. The hallway noise is notable, and the walls are typical of most places in that you can hear most noises above a conversation level. The facility is undergoing a major renovation, and I was privvy to enjoy one of the last meals available from the Anchorage. My waiter/bartender Brian was FANTASTIC and a wealth of information for local attractions and the man truly knows his alcohol...I'll probably return there after the renovations are completed just to see what they did with removing the beautiful fish tank and that amazing brass bar rail with the elephants. I felt the room charge was okay, and fully expect it will be more when I return. Hopefully the renovations will make it worth it and that Brian will still be working there for dinner/bar service! Great location...
Pros: Although the hotel is under renovation, the guest rooms on three of the floors were not affected. I thought the room was clean and comfortable, and there was ample parking. I would stay there again.
Pros: Room was clean and hotel was generally quiet.
Cons: Claimed that a data entry or data transmission error from Kayak or Booking.com caused the loss of our reservation. It took more than 15 minutes to find and correct the error while we waited. The entire first floor is under construction, including entryway, lobby and hallways. Patio was closed except for lunch and dinner.

Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Very kind staff. Close to restaurants. Affordable.
Cons: No continental breakfast or complimentary toothbrushes.
Pros: Nice rooms and excersise area with pool
Cons: Would of liked a breakfast or coffee included has a bistro on site though
Pros: The staff was great! Which great customer service makes the stay even more better. I could go on about their hospitality. Me and my boyfriend chose the place on a last minute decision for Valentine's Day and it worked out great!
Cons: I had to cancel at the last
Moment and was out $800
Pros: They accommodated all of our requests - away from elevator, ice machine and other people. We were traveling with a baby and wanted a quiet room. Very clean and nice decor. There was a cool bar and restaurant area but we did not have a chance to try it.
Cons: The elevator is in the back of the hotel, and you have to wind around to find it... so it was tricky getting to our room from the lobby. The hotel could have used more signs to direct guests to the elevator.

Pros: Easy to get to the Brewer Game. Avoided downtown area with Summer Fest going on since we didn't want to go there. Close to Wauwautsa and fun beer garden at Hoyt Park. Very clean hotel. Quiet even though they were full.
Pros: Friendy staff, clean facility, decent gym
Cons: not much around the area for food/entertainment

Pros: It's an older hotel, so it has a romantic charm.
Cons: The rooms could be updated. The old window air conditioner was loud through the night.
Pros: The cafe was wonderful. The staff were fantastic.
Cons: We initially had a room that smelled like smoke. After telling the staff about this, they instantly changed our room to a different one. They made a bad situation into a great situation.
Pros: Location. Room was comfortable. Full kitchen.
Cons: No elevator. Restaurant limited offerings and hours
Pros: Refreshing vintage style (Built and operational since the 20s) with modern updates. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was more than curtious.
I wanted to move in.
Cons: A bit drafty. That's it.
The Plaza Hotel offers a great location, putting you within a 15-minute walk of Milwaukee Art Museum and Discovery World. Guests can indulge in massages, and Cafe at the Plaza serves breakfast and lunch. Conveniences like kitchens are in all apartments, along with flat-screen TVs and free WiFi.
Pros: We needed one night close to MKE for early morning flight. The shuttle drivers were fast and efficient, however, I don't think they were hotel staff. The front desk clerk was. Very sweet and handled all of our needs.
They have a breakfast but we missed it because our flight was early so cannot comment on that! Never saw or used the pool or any other facilities.
Cons: The room however was dark and dank and felt dirty/sticky. There was a ring of crusty dirt around the bathroom door handle. The room was clean as far as the linens, but just neede an update as far as carpet and heavy duty cleaning. Vents dirty, corners dirty, etc.
Pros: beds good, food was good, clean overall, didn't use the pool but it looked fun if u have kids,
Cons: the 7-10:00 breakfast is more like 7-:9;40, as they decided they wanted be out the door at 10:00 and broke it down very prematurely. Go early if you actually want to eat.
Pros: I really like how the manager handle her self when we had problems she was a wonderful person
Cons: I didn't like how my kid got threatened by other people while I was staying there..
Pros: Friendly staff, clean & updated rooms, huge family pool area, outdoor seating, nice breakfast variety, nightly complimentary adult beverages and snacks @ bar. Facility was undergoing renovations during our weekend stay so there were some minor piles of dry wall dust & debris in hallways and stairwells but those did not pose a health or safety hazard. Cost seemed a little pricey but we made our reservations at the last minute when room availability was limited. Would definitely recommend this facility.
Pros: The pool area
Cons: Will call BBB and file complaint

Pros: The staff was friendly, helpful and accomodating. The resturant food was very good. I stayed there because I was attending my father's funeral which was to begin at 11:00 am. I arrived at the hotel at 9am. I asked if I could check into my room early because I needed to get dressed for the funeral and needed a place for my luggage. They extended this courtesy to me and I was very grateful. Most hotels I have stayed in would not have allowed such an early checkin.
Cons: I think the price I paid was somewhat high (107 per night) in March of 2015. The hotel does show some signs of wear and tear and is relatively small for a hotel. There was not a gift shop on the premises and breakfast was not included. I believe they provide free coffee from 5 to 6 am.
