Good proximity for walking or riding bus or trolley to most attractions. Friendly and courteous staff. Breakfast each morning saved us restaurant money. Room was small but adequate. King mattress was very comfortable.
I asked to have the toilet seat tightened (upon arrival it was very loosely attached and sliding back and forth). It was not done. Bathroom floor always felt a bit sticky. No exhaust fan in bathroom (or not working?). Carpet looked and felt a bit worn.
The staff went out of their way to take care of us. The rooms are nice and well kept. Overall it was a wonderful stay.
Hotel was in walking distance to museums, French Quarter and other attractions. Courteous, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. A large variety of items were available for breakfast. Rooms were clean and attractive.
Location and staff were awesome. Lobby area very appealing and interesting. Helpful, knowledgeable staff.
Breakfast was crowded and could have used more staff to keep things clean and stocked . Noise from lobby echoes throughout entire building.
Like that it was walking distance from French quarter but far enough to stay out of the riff raft.
Free breakfast left us wanting more.
The morning breakfast is the best we have had in a hotel that features "free breakfast"
our room had no window and one night we were inundated with cigarette smoke from unknown sources
Coffee & breakfast was disappointing compared to other free breakfasts
Location in French Quarter
No bathroom exhaust fans. Very difficult to get in and out of a king sized bed crammed in such a small room. Breakfast was very cramped, unorganized, poor tasting food, and had rude staff. For the price, this hotel sucks. I don't plan on returning.
Ran out of eggs and bacon during breckfast one day.
-- How the interior had been preserved and updated from former factory to hotel, with exposed beams and really good natural light -- Breakfast included in cost of stay (typical, in my experience, hotel breakfast, with eggs, bacon, sausages, cold and hot cereal, coffee, juice, milk, toast, and fruit) -- Location (just west of the French Quarter, so it was easy to get there quickly, but I could also easily escape the noisy night life there) -- Staff (extremely courteous and welcoming)
-- Shower water (never got really hot)
