Loved the bar and atmosphere of the hotel
Parking was a mess, waited in lobby for 20 minutes then was told to walk down two and half blocks with bags and then was told to wait at a corner for my car to arrive. 20 minutes later the car came
It's close enough to the French Quarter without being at the French Quarter. The hotel decor is nice and on first glance, looks luxurious. The staff were mostly friendly. The bed was comfortable.
The room (3rd floor) was loud due to outside street noises and the rather loud AC. Although the decor was nice, the bathroom had broken/damaged bathroom fixtures and dry wall. The tub also drained very slowly.
Great location just outside the French Quarter.
Small rooms but still nice. Would like more if it had a restaurant.
I love the distinguished vibe of the hotel. It is unique and inspired with a subtle romantic touch. It is conveniently located near the French quarter (we walked everywhere with no problem) and the staff is gracious if you need directions or transport arranged. There was an art display in the lobby, live music in the bar, and picturesque ambiance everywhere. We opted for a room with a window but almost accidentally booked one without so do be cautious if you have strong feelings about such things. Perfect for a trip with a loved one.
Location, comfort and stylish are the words to describe our stay at the International house. The staff were extra helpful too.
Ambience was second to none and the staff was very helpful!
I would suggest self parking. The third party company that does the parking for the area takes entirely too long. It's a short 2 1/2 block walk to the garage
Attention to detail, ambiance, location, decor, staff was so helpful, bathroom was amazing!
That our stay wasn't longer :)
There was no parking, had to pay 35$ for valet parking.
Parking, no breakfast, and small rooms. Rooms are not what they seem online.
I liked the decor and the fact that our room had a little fridge to put refreshments in, since we stayed in the summer. Room cleaning service was prompt and coffee in the mornings. Most everything was pleasant.
I could hear everything that went on in the hallway. Including cleaning staff wondering when we were going to leave so they could clean our room.
Location was nice close to French Quarter and the price was lower than other similar properties.
Condom wrapper under the corner of the bed and the front desk could not have cared less. Valet parking was a nightmare we sat in the street for 20 minutes along with 10 other cars and never saw a valet. Street noise into the rooms was excessive compared to other hotels in the area.
Room was inexpensive for a last minute weekend. The staff was friendly. It was a quiet location and not to far from French quarter and attractions. The room was clean with a comfortable bed.
Not a full service hotel. No ice machine. Had t call to desk to get an wait for ice. No vending machines. The location is not close to any economical restaurants, No store near by. The worst experience was the air conditioning. After arriving three hours later the AC went out. We adjusted thermostat and got dressed in the hot room for dinner. We left to go out hoping AC would be okay. When we got back. three hours later it was still very hot. Called desk was told no engineer was on staff. Bellman shows up and tinkers with AC giving excuses the entire time. My husband and I started to adjust and try to defrost unit and got it running. We were never offered a new room or upon checking out never was contacted by management to apologize or make right for the inconvenience. They had holes in ceiling, A trap door of some kind to roof in ceiling Also hole patches that were not hidden on ceiling. I stay in the French quarter at least 4 to 5 times a year. I won't be recommending or visiting the IT again.
The hotel was an ideal location for our weekend getaway! Very central and convenient to everything in the French Quarter like Bourbon St, boutiques, and restaurants! The staff was very pleasant and helpful with directions. The room itself was a little small but very clean. I will definitely be staying here in the near future!
Room was comfortable and clean. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Location was convenient to French Quarter, Garden District, and Harrah's Casino.
We had our car valet parked by the hotel. When we went to pick it up, the valet service initially brought the wrong car. It took an additional 20 minutes or so to get the correct vehicle. Also, there was a new dent in the front bumper of the car after we got it back from the valet.
Arrived 9pm. The room smelled foul. The night manager agreed the smell was "overwhelming" but said there was nothing they could do...except try to move us after two nights. We left the next morning, asking for a refund on the next 5 nights of the 6 reserved. They agreed by then charged us for two nights. Should have refunded all.
The staff was friendly, informative and went out of their way to help us.
We were put in a handicap room, we aren't. The room is bare bones, beds lumpy and very few amenities for the price. Lots of noise in the hallways. I realize it was Mardi Gras however, we are frequent visitors to New Orleans and we have stayed in much better hotels. I would not recommend this property to friends.
