Location was perfect for the parades. Food at the hotel bar Ole Saints was good. Security was really on point. I felt very safe there.
We did not have hot water for the 1st 2 days stay. We were double charged on our credit card after we already paid in full. I checked my statement on the plane & I was charged the (same) fees twice + extra fees.
clean, modern facilities. Great location. Friendly staff
Elevators are the only issue. I understand that they are currently being renovated, but in the meantime, the wait for an elevator can be excessive.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the beds are comfortable. Love the location everything you want or need is within walking distance.
The carpet needs a good steam cleaning.
I love how the staff was very friendly . I did not like how the Internet didn't mention parking fee . But my biggest complaint I ordered a king size bed ! Instead I walked into a double after hours of driving and going 20 stories up I did not care to re pack n move but let them know they did give us the wrong room. Although it looked clean the hotel stinks .

Long wait for elevators, all the time. Long wait for car Too expensive to park
The staff was great. Great location. Clean. The bed was comfortable, although the room was a little small for a king sized bed.
It will cost you $45 per night for parking. Elevators are extremely small, slow, and warm! Prepare to wait 5-10 minutes for elevations and to squeeze in with other guest. The room was okay, but for the cost per night I expected it to be nicer, especially with the Wyndham name. This is basically an outdated Holiday Inn. The room was small and the bathroom was extremely small. Overall I'd stay here again, but only at lower rate.
Location, beds & pillows, staff
Room a little small for king bed with a desk & chest/TV stand. Bathroom small, little counter space for toiletries, no towel rack. Elevators small, hard to manage if you have very much luggage. Parking charge high ($35/day plus taxes)--some hotels I've stayed in only charged for in/out
Friendly knowledgable staff. Right off of Canal St with easy quick access to the street car system, and only 1 block away from Bourbon St.
If you are staying here plan on spending an additional $35 plus tax a day just to park you car in the parking garage. my trip was buisness so my company covers the fee, but just be aware if you plan on (a) driving, and (b) staying an extended amount of time. The fees can add up.
Hotel was clean all staff very helpful If visiting French Quarter it is perfect location
I had to switch flight back to come early and cancel 1 of 2 nights. Would not budge on giving credit or anything what's over even though airlines switched flight for free
Great location. Highly recommended
Very comfortable beds, friendly staff, good location in the French Quarter, indoor pool
Slow/small elevators, wifi did not work consistently during our stay, lots of noise from elevators and heater in our room
Bed and pillows were comfortable.room was clean. WiFi worked. Checkout was easy.
Hair dryer needs to be replaced.
Hotel staff were rude. After completing my online check in,and receiving conformation, we drove 8 hours only to be told that we did not have a room and that we would be walked to another hotel. A hotel that was 10 blocks from our planned activities. Of the hundreds of hotels that I have stayed in, and most that were considerably less expensive than the $500/night I paid for this room, this was the worst experience I have ever had. Very unprofessional!
Courteous staff, great location, clean rooms.
We got placed right next to the elevator. Loud pully system and disrespectful guests returning from Bourbon st. Are my only gripes.
Walking distance to most anywhere you want to go. A bit of a hike to the convention center though.
The walls are rather thin. Could hear the elevators constantly because my room was right across from them. Housekeeping didn't replace 3 face towels after taking the used ones until the following day and didn't leave the toiletries (shampoo, etc.) for one of the days.
It was a short trip, and we were out and about most days, and just came back to the hotel for a nap and to sleep. good for the weekend.
the walls were very thin, and someone was sick in the room next to us
The staff were helpful, and my bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom was very large with a nice shower and was very clean. Free Wifi was nice too.
My only major complaint is that my room was near the elevators and they were really loud- loud enough to make it hard for me to stay asleep in the early morning as people kept riding it. I could hear the whirring of the motor quite loudly, along with the bell ringing anytime someone stopped on my floor.
Annoying loud elevator noise that kept us up. A pocket book being stolen from the room. The staff who were non apologetic about the break in.
It honestly took over 3 hours to get a room and get settled. We got there an hour early, did a pre-check in and left. We returned an hour later, had to wait in line for 30 minutes and then got a room with a broken a/c unit. We called downstairs, and they said they were sending someone up. The housekeeper for our floor told us they knew the a/c was broken and still gave us the room. It was very hot in there. We finally went downstairs and asked to talk with the Manager. He never came out to talk with us. The Security person told us that the maintenance person was in our room. He was not. We went back downstairs, again waited in line for another 30 minutes and finally the clerk had the security offcer take us up to the room. We accepted the room. However, the room had no towels. Had to flag down another housekeeper, get towels. The second night -- our key card quit working. Again, wait in line for 30 minutes. They did give us two gift cards for the restaurant next door but was too little too late. It would have gone a long way had the Manager taken the effort to talk with us.
The location. The attached bar and restaurant.
Room location by elevator was not changed upon request. Extremely noisy. No bill at check-out. No one answering phone for wake up call. Barely a lobby. Not enough staff working desk. Long lines. Heard other people complaining they did not have a room even though they made a reservation. Poorly managed. Long wait to get room upon check-in. Not customer friendly.
For the most part the staff was friendly, albeit slow to respond to requests both in person and at the front desk. The location was ideal for walking the French Quarter. The best part of the stay was the Ole Saint restaurant/bar connected to the hotel. The wait staff and bar staff were extremely pleasant and the food was delicious.
The elevators were insufficient for the traffic, including a "secret" elevator that only traveled between floors 18-20. The wait to go up or down was tedious at best. I understand that Wyndham is in the process of renovating from the old Holiday Inn -- and it's sorely needed -- but the improvements are merely a face lift. Our first "renovated room" was nice looking, but the bathroom was small and the shower didn't work at all. Our second "renovated room" when they moved us to a working shower, was nice looking, but the mattresses had to be 20 years old because it was the most uncomfortable night's sleep in my life. I had to hold onto the side of the bed in order to keep from rolling towards him every second. Parking fees, which I had expected, were higher than most in the area at $35 a day for a crowded and filthy parking lot that I'm not sure was entirely secure. I would discourage kids to stay at this hotel. Although there is a pool, the sidewalk outside is rife with drunks, homeless beggars, filthy streets and questionable "groceries". I would hesitate to call it an appropriate atmosphere for young kids, but there were plenty staying there for conventions during our stay.
The location is just inside the French Quarter on Royal close to Canal. Hotel parking garage is attached although $35/day.
The hotel appears to be an older Holiday Inn property which is in the process of being rennovated by Wyndham. The room we stayed in was one of the unrennovated rooms, while generally clean and servicable it was in need of an update. The rennovation crew took over two rooms right off the elevator where they were stripping and refinishing doors. The crew stood in the hallways wearing respirators with the room doors open while a visible haze of solvent floated in the air.The smell of solvent permiated the entire floor. The hotel elevators were extremely slow and subsquently crowded and full most times of the day. It gennerally took 5 to 10 minutes of waiting to get from room to lobby or vise versa. Hopefully the elevators are scheduled for an upgrade as part of the rennovation. While the location was good, the room was definitely not what I would have expected from a Wyndham property, perhaps after rennovation it will be, but not now. In retrospect, I probably would have been happier trading the better location for better accomadations by staying across canal at one of the hotels there.
Room was dirty. Mold growing in shower. Exercise room small with broken machines. Hallways and other areas unkept. $35/night to park after reservations.
The room was not clean, and all normal amenities were not available, such as a bath mat for bathroom floor, and ice bucket, etc.
Proximity to business district, canal / bourbon st
Facilities appear dated / run down, staff never replaced towels as used, mediocre for business trip however would not return for pleasure
