informal and friendly atmosphere nothing
Very clean bedroom & bathroom, in fact pristine. Good sized bedroom and en-suite, well laid out. Very neutral, tasteful decor. Very comfortable bed. Excellent parking facilities. Beautiful rural location. Excellent breakfast. There was nothing I disliked about the guest house. I selected the guest house for the location. I would have preferred a hotel with lunch & dinner on the premises.
The B&B Is spot on excellent clean rooms with excellent service.
breakfast was brilliant could n't get telly to work on 2nd night.
Helpful friendly staff. Good breakfast. Not having a restaurant means having to go elswhere to eat evening meals, as a business customer that's a bit of a nuisance.
Rooms were clean and modern and the breakfast was good No hot water at 6.00 in the evening. No access to the hotel when we arrived on Saturday afternoon (having been told that the earliest check in was 2.00 we were surprised to find a note on the door at 3.00 saying " back in one hour"). We found somewhere to have a hot drink at the nearby national park but had quite a lot of time to kill which was not ideal after a long journey.
Very well looked after thank you - really good breakfasts!
Friendliness of staff
Wonderful b&b in the most amazing setting. The owners were great. Lots of information about the local area. The breakfast was superb and I took photos of the dining room and table. The decor was spot on for this old country house. Single room was small and bathroom cold but satellite tv and wifi in room and worth the money. Surrounding area is beautiful and great for walking or driving. Follow directions below if you haven't got a Tom Tom sat nav. Sat nav will only work for Tom Toms aparently. Mine took me up a country lane in the dark. Best to follow these directions. Drive to the village of Pandy and locate the pub ' The Old Pandy Inn '. Turn off here down the side road next to it. After 50 metres drive under a railway bridge and continue until you get to a sharp bend in the road about 200 metres later. You will see a sign here pointing left for Llanthony. Turn left here along a narrow road bordered by a high hedge for about 300 metres. When it gets wider you will see a sign for the guesthouse and turn right here and follow the 200 mtr drive to the house. If dark the unlit car park is on the left just before the house. Then you walk to the back of the house where the reception is.
very difficult to get there in the dark, difficult to park, no lighting.
Very friendly and informative staff. No locks on the doors.
The landlord is very nice and has loads of knowledge of the surrounding areas
the atmosphere of the place and the attitude of our guest
Wonderful scenery and location superb breakfast. The owners made you really feel at home and served tea and Welsh cakes on arriving without charging for them Cramped bedrooms and bathroom and toilet, but this is a minor detail and there was no other way to convert this old house
pleasant owners, good breakfast, nice house a bit out of the way, over-priced
The beautiful setting
Courtious service and reception - Exellent Breakfast
The room was brilliant, location great and the owners were extremely helpful, preparing maps for us etc In the dining room there was one large table for all guests to sit. Although this was a very nice room and table, I would have prefered to have a bit more privacy from other guests. Had we been there for longer we would have got to know the other guests but when they came for breakfast and we were tucking into a fry up it made us feel a little uncomfortable.
