For the cost I don't see how you can charge what you do for these rooms when you can stay at the one at Times Square for the same amount and have a suite. You can barely walk by another person in these rooms. You charge WAY TOO MUCH for them!!!
We got our cookie, so we had that going for us... which was nice.
Staff was curt and unwilling to accommodate a booking error that occurred. It didn't really seem like my business mattered much there. Won't be making any future reservations here.
I can't say enough about how friendly the staff was!! Amazing
Small rooms , but that's typical of many Manhattan hotels
The staff at the DoubleTree South Times Square is AWESOME! Friendly, helpful, bent over backwards to make my stay comfortable.
Small room, ice machines not on every floor. SLOW elevators!
Beds were comfortable.
Bathroom was good sized with a large shower, but there was virtually no counter space and it was impossible to use the faucet and sink without splashing water outside the sink. The room had almost no drawer space. Two narrow and deep drawers and one letter drawer. Closet also very small. If you are staying more than a day or two, you will have to still live our of your suitcase. Speaking of suit cases - no place to put them to get them out of the way. Very poorly designed room/bathroom/furniture for counter space and drawers. Broken safety rail in shower - very dangerous! Nice breakfast - but constantly running out of plates, bowls, etc.
Internet only in the lobby
Good location, helpful staff.
Small room, even by NYC standards, heat was very difficult to regulate.
Nice room, clean,well maintained
For 4days we had to wait up to half an hour for the elevators, almost every day one was out of service and this is a 26 plus floors hotel.
The DoubleTree Times Square was amazing! All of the staff I encountered were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, the beds were comfortable and the room was perfectly clean. I will be happy to stay there any time I come back to NYC and will definitely recommend it to friends. ...and the cookie I was given at check-in was one of the best chocolate chip cookies ever!
That I had to leave.
Roomy for a NYC hotel with a working desk area. Live when a hotel has a tub and not just a shower, and it did.
View was level with another roof and A/C unit. But for a quick night it didn't mater
The rooms were small, but quite comfortable. The amenities (in-room coffee, heating/air conditioning, wi-fi) all worked very well. It was very quiet. In spite of our room being across from the elevator, we heard almost no noise. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Nothing. We'd stay there again.
The staff was so accommodating that they upgraded our room bc the one we booked wasn't ready. The staff was also the friendliest staff I have ever encountered in my entire travels. They always at least said hello but always asked you if you needed anything. They were amazing! I would certainly stay again!
I would have loved a continental breakfast.
