Staff was incredibly helpful and accomodating
The location is great! I didn't mind that the room was small because I was only there to sleep. The morning staff was super friendly and helpful.
The evening staff was rude and not as welcoming as the morning staff. I was a bit put off but again, just for the purpose of sleeping I didn't mind staying here.
The staff at this location is too notch!!
Rooms were very small.
The staff was amazing! The rooftop patio is great!
None of the rooms have more then one bed.
The hotel was conveniently located for my purpose. It was also exceptionally clean and the staff was polite and helpful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Nice design, clean rooms, good location
The service of the staff was excellent. I would definitely return again and stay at The gem Hotel-Chesea.
If you want to stay outside of midtown and closer to Chelsea/Meat Packing District/West Village the location is really perfect. I ended up taking very few cabs as I walked to most everything I wanted to see that weekend. Subway stop is a block away if you like. Good restaurants close by, great stores, etc.
Everything was fine. Yes, the room is small and somewhat cheaply modern, but it's nice. Well laid out, clean and updated. For what I paid and the location I couldn't have expected more.
excellent location, centrally located in Manhattan; reasonable pricing to NYC standards, impeccably furnished room, quiet
room a bit on the small side (hence only four stars out of five for comfort), but then again, this is probably the norm in Manhattan where space is at a premium
