Location of hotel was great, but they could not check me into my 26th floor Central Park view room on time, nor tell me when my room would be ready; I needed to change clothes for a dinner event, so they finally put me in a room which Karolin said was at least as nice as the room I had requested, guaranteed and prepaid to have. she said she personally checked the view. it was on a lower floor, had a blocked view, and another noisy office building's a/c unit, so close someone waved at me through their window when I got back at midnight. No view of Central Park. I requested room change, and finally got my Central Park view my last night there.
Crowded lobby/bar/concierge area due to Burger Joint restaurant line a large part of the day...residents of hotel had to wait an hour in line if they wanted to eat there.
Great location with gorgeous views. Don't miss Norma's brunch. Among the best in the city.
The heat was turned off by policy and could not be turned on. The in room thermostats appeared to be operational but did nothing. I wasted a lot of timing adjusting a non-operational thermostat and got a cold. Management clearly could not care less. Have been staying at the hotel since it opened and will never return. I will make sure every hotel review Web site is aware of this. I already informed a friend's daughter who recommends lodging for staff and visitors for a major New York financial services company. Pretty expensive hotel to have heat like a tenement.
Great swimming pool, great restaurant, great location, great service
The room did not smell very good and it did not have basic amenities like a coffee machine!
close to times square and central park
this hotel is not so clean than they say
Great big room, great location and has one of the best burgers in town
The location was fabulous. We could walk to most of the sights that we wanted to visit.
The suite was not comparable to others in the same price range, based on my prior experience. There was no turn down service, nor complimentary items that you may have forgotten, ie toothbrush. Also a separate room does not necessarily mean there is a door.
Very well located
Breakfast room too noisy, too busy and as a consequence breakfast too slow. As a result we used other venues. No sauna or steam room and pool area disappointing.
Great location, very friendly staff, great burger joint downstairs.
Everything is an extra, you have to pay to use the gym or get internet access.
Inernet connxtion a&nd stuation
I new the Hotel for abut 20 tears it is worn down need is worn down baddly needs renewall
About the only positive feature was the bed.
No guest lounge or bar area. Main lobby like a railway station with a cheap bagel stand plonked in reception. Bathroom was hardly 2 star. definately not up to European Meridien standards.
The rooms were perfect
the "cold" and unpersonal atmosphere and the facte that there is no lounge no bar no place to meet friends
