Step out into the city
Surrounded by vibrant nightlife and a wealth of fantastic restaurants in both Times Square and Chelsea, The OUT is perfectly situated for you to enjoy New York's finest food, drink and fashionable shops. The hotel is also served by public transport to ensure you get the most out of New York as you explore its hidden corners.
I usually stay on the lower Eastside when I travel to New York for the restaurants and art galleries. I selected the out purely on the basis of economics and the desire to do something slightly different. Although there are no art galleries and only a handful of restaurants in this neighborhood it is walking distance to time square and the theater district. If shows are your game, this place is pretty awesome. However for 160 bucks a night with good sheets and a recently renovated modern bathroom I do not feel inconvenienced at all. You can easily take the blue line subway down to Chelsea or Greenwich Village and as long as the weather wasn't as terrible as it was during snowstorm Jonas during my stay you can easily walk east across to the Bowery once you have moved south a bit by train. There's a charming coffee and breakfast place right next-door to the hotel which was friendly and provided healthy food options. The staff at the hotel although not the most polished was extremely helpful during the storm. They were able to extend my stay since I was stranded with all flights canceled for 2 days without gouging me. I had a problem with my television remote which they expeditiously repaired and I appreciated the attentiveness and speed. The hotel restaurant was, meh, just fair, certainly not awesome as compared to most restaurants in New York, but they get points for being the only place open on the night of the storm. And again at bargain-basement prices for the room one as little right to complain.
Proximity to various NYC highlights is very nice.
I understand parking in NYC is difficult, but a better alternative could be achieved.
Noisy in room heater.
The hotel was too expensive The room was very small It was dirty
Can't beat the location
Spa and hot tub need to be heated up in the morning
Loved the room, the decor, location. Will stay again
Style / price / workout room / ping pong common area / big rooms for network / great staff / very cool modern vibe / price
I hated not having coffee maker in room or no coffee in lobby either ? I was scratching my head how they got literally everything else right and could not have coffee avialible any where early in the morning when business travelers need it ! If they had coffee in the rooms I would have given it a 10 out of 10 but I need to go 9
Very comfortable Bed Loved the design and décor Fantastic Location
Excellent location, clean room, awesome spa, beautiful environment
NOTHING ATALL !
No privacy !! They simply thief from you 200$ for just lockers. All facilities are really in bad condition!
We are Spanish family first time in my city and book on this hotel ,we don't speak the language good but we try, when I arrived the person ask me how many people I said 3,but he wrote only 1 of you look camera I approach him with my cousin.thats was a problem then the bathroom was clogged and all the dirty water and excrements came out flooding the carpet and floor, maintenance came in a unclog it and water was not moving fast enough .he stated happens sometimes that was not good to heard,my shoes, daughter and cousins shoes got wet with that disgusting water I had throw them away.since I work for health department on nj I personal wants a manager to call me ,Asap
3 things I did like: - The comfy bed - The spa/jacuzzi/sauna - Blocks away from Times Square
3 things I didn't like: - During check in we couldn't get our room keys because the system was down, so whenever we left out of our room security had to escort/access us back in our room to let us in. (for 2 hours) - Our TV was broke (someone eventually fixed it) - When my Husband & I came back from getting food we come to our hotel door to realize that we couldn't access through (we had our keys by then) anywho the battery was dead so a tech came to charge it and we had to sit outside for 45mins to wait until the door open when the battery was full enough. When we finally got in Our food was cold (no microwave) I pretty much was over it. I showered & slept. Only reason why I gave them 3 stars because the staff was VERY helpful, friendly & attentive. Overall it was an OK stay, very clean and spacious room for a mini romantic getaway.
It was just so interestng. Unique.
The staff at The OUT NYC were great! Always accommodating, helpful and friendly. Bathroom was spacious and the shower water pressure was excellent. Rooms were tastefully decorated with modern touches.
The bed was comfortable, but the sheets were not of the highest quality. The food in the KTCHN was disgusting and overpriced, but was overlooked because of our excellent server! Mirrors everywhere!!!
Very modern, nice amenities.
Beds not terribly comfortable, street noise and subway noise very loud at times
Clean, spacious rooms Nicely decorated with modern touches Great location Outdoor hotel hallways and courtyards are great for fresh air
No coffee maker "Queen" beds that are actually full (just a little narrow) Booked one type of room but was assigned something else (and less desirable) when checking in - bait and switch? Confusing layout could suck in an emergency
Overall good location, clean rooms and decent place to stay as long you do not mind the city noise
Noisy due to how the building is constructed being open to the outside
This is a fancy building with a spa and nice staff, but it is not what I expected.
I did not realize that it was a bed in a shared room. I requested a room on kayak and got a hostel.
Noise from outside. Housekeeping not changing linen timely when asked
