Convenience meets style at the W New York, located at 541 Lexington Avenue. From the modern design of the lobby (which offers busy guests express check in), to rooms designed with ensuite bathrooms featuring rainfall showers and pillowtop beds, the W New York provides its guests with a comprehensively refreshing stay. For an extra dose of rest and relaxation, head down to the hotel's health club to exercise and enjoy the steam room and sauna.
Enjoy the Central Location
W New York's central location makes it popular with both business and leisure travelers. On-site parking is available, the hotel has accredited babysitters on call, and an in-house spa is great for a massage without a commute. The crowds of Times Square are only a 20 minute stroll away, while Rockefeller Center and Grand Central Station are right nearby.
W New York and Movie Magic
It's just a short walk to the Chrysler Building, an architectural icon offering commanding views of the city. Many of New York's best museums are also easy to get to, including the Museum of Modern Art, which is within easy walking distance. And when walking on Lexington Avenue itself, be sure to note the intersection at 51st Street, where Marilyn Monroe and her billowing white skirt were filmed for the legendary scene from "The Seven Year Itch."
I like the food & drinks at the bar/lounge area downstairs and the waitress was nice.
The front staff was disrespctfull and they took an hr to bring my car out from the garage area . Room was small and tigth.
Location location location!
Somehow got the only hotel in NYC that didn't have a warm holiday feel to it.
Very clean and professional.
I reserved a room with 2 beds and they had no more left at the time of check in and then the best they could do is one queen. I was traveling with my brother in law and was not comfortable sharing the bed. They could not even offer a cot.
Very small room for a very high price
I pay more money for the a SPECTACULAR ROOM which should be bigger and with city view, but actually I got a room the same as a COZY ROOM. It is different from the picture shown in the booking web site. I felt I have been tricked. The bar was very noisy until at least 1 am. I could clearly heard the drums although i was on the 10th floor.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
The heater was very loud. The binder listing the "amenities" was beaten up and contained vague information. There was no room service menu. Breakfast room service was vastly overpriced.
Great location Very comfortable bed Good for drinks
The size of the room was small
I thought the hotel was nice rooms were clean.
Bathroom door was a sliding glass door. Not very private.very little pressure in shower.
Enjoyed my stay. Made to feel very welcome. This hotel has a boutique feel to it,it is so unlike the normal bussiness chain hotels it competes with in Midtown. Perfect location close to 51st street subway and Grand Central Station. Also short walk away from the park and all shops on 5th avenue.Staff are all very friendly and helpful and the room although smallish(like nearly all New York hotels) was very well eqiuiped and comfatable. The bar is very lively at night if that is your thing.I will stay again if in New York.
Lobby: great music, lively, makes you feel good. Fitness: well equipped. Hotel staff very helpful.
IT system: After 9 hours of flight and 1 hour of taxi, hotel tells you that you do not have a reservation. :(( They charge you twice - again IT system. Thank you to the hotel staff trying to solve the issue.
Beautiful hotel. Really nice atmosphere. Staff very helpful. Was initially concerned that the Internet was going to cost $14.95 a day but they made us a member of w hotels for free which included free Internet. We stayed in the MEGA room and it was a great size.
The good thing about this hotel that the staff were friendly and were able to assit you or make up for anything that was not satisfying. In addition the location was not bad either if you were looking to have access to the main roads.
Very tiny rooms!! What is called a queen only seems like a double bed and a king is more like a queen bed, plus you hardly move around in the room and toilets were even smaller. I am not sure how these rooms claim to be for 2 persons as there definately was no room to move around, or even cupboard space for clothes, unless you have 2 outfits each. In addition the first room had this horrible gas smell in the toilets leaking out from the pipes below, the water is not complimentary in the room, the shower pressure was very weak!! I did get another room though but the internet line was not working. So all in all, it was not a great experience although the staff there did help in turning things around.
Great location, cool hotel, very confi bed, in the lounge in the lobby they put a DJ with nice music in some evenings, very nice
the bathroom/toilet have a sliding door which do not completely isolate from the room
Wonderful staff, honesty of cleaning staff. And I loved the lighting, both in the common areas and the room.
No real restaurant. Earlier coffee service in lobby would be good.
room was supposed to be mega room--was small and only one queen size bed
Our room was very clean and very comfortable after a long day. We would stay again.
The rooms were extremely dark and the lifts were verydifficult to use.
