Ideal location. Small but well appointed room. Had a great deal so excellent value; likely not great value for money at regular rates, but in that location, would be hard find better options.
Nice upscale, modern and hip boutique hotel. Close to my work in midtown and 6 1/2 Ave. Friendly and consistent staff. Fantastic in room amenities. Comfy bed and nice big bathroom, robes and slippers.
Location, roof top Small room, needs renovation - room looks outdated, paper thin walls - can hear everything from next door, expensive for what you get
Zachary at the front desk was wonderful! All of the staff were so pleasant. The fresh flowers in the lobby were just beautiful. The art in residence program showcased interesting pieces of art throughout the hotel. The rooms were lovely, comfortable bed, very clean - an all around 10 out of 10 stay! nothing negative.
Ubicacion Todavia algunas partes en remodelacion
Service and response was good. Disappointed at the Sunday Brunch.
The best concierges! Very bad breakfasts. A small choice, tastelessly, the high prices.
Ambience and history. The Hotel's position is fantastic and the staff were a pleasure to engage. No.
The hotel is amazing, it was renovated recently and worth the price to stay at this historic hotel at least one time in your life! Also, location is excellent.
Luxurious hotel and rooms.
location crazy crowded lobby!!!!
everything is superb... from the location, the room , the food, the service no complain at all.
Courteous and professional staff. Very nice restoration of this NY landmark. There were no mirrors in the room. Only the one in the bathroom vanity.Maybe they are still finishing the decoration details.
The location. the phone at the room did not work properly
Awesome location. Right at Central Park, with a great view.
We liked everything! A great hotel! They upgraded us (the price was the same). Excellent service! Surely we'd like to stay there next time. Location is excellent.
Convenient location for the stay Relativelly small room compered to the price, previous Jumairah experience in SAE and generally number of stars of the hotel
Excellent service. Good hotel just facing Central Park. There are many good hotels near Time Square, Rockefeller center, etc. with a more convenient location and with much better prices.
The location and service were great. The room was very comfortable and spacious (especially for NY). We ordered room service and the food was excellent. The parking was more expensive than other local hotels ($65 vs. $50 at other hotels).
The location is superb. Central Park views are a joy to behold. I also thought the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Postage-stamp sized room, even by NYC standards, for $500 a night. I also would have appreciated more attentive doorman service, especially during evening and nighttime hours. (Daytime service was fine.)
The size of the suite was great. Plenty of closets. Clean bathroom, very functional. Furniture and fixtures were in top condition. No music capability in the suite unless you brought your own.
The Hotel staff was exceptional. They were very accommodating and definitely worked to in sure that our stay was comfortable and hassel free.
Nothing but that we had to leave
The staff is kind, congenial and attentive. The spa is one of the best I have ever been to. I took my 82-year old parents to NY for the thanksgiving weekend, and the hotel staff was so kind, so wonderful to them. Can't think of a thing!
Staff were professional and friendly. Room was perfect size, very clean and tidy. Location was perfect.Had 5th ave two blocks away, central park on your door step.Couldn't ask for a better location. The hotel was walking distance to every tourist attraction. The tour bus stop was around the corner too. The room didn't have a coffee/tea maker.Would happily have brought one from the hotel but prices were stupidly high, along with the price of breakfast and dinner. This didn't put us off as starbucks was one block away and was able to walk to all restaurants, plenty of choices. But menu did look good.
great location very expensive food
as this was christmas the hotel lookes lovely the staff were very helpful and the location was good fot central park area
the location is great- staff helpful
The location of the Hotel. Very close to the shopping area and to Central park.
The Library is a gem.....Outstanding food, service and ambiance
the hotel was very centally located i did not like the way we were receives at the reception desk.the person that receiveved us was very to the point and did very little effort to try to accomidate us.
It is a small elegant hotel. The rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed. We loved the hotel, but returned to find our room had not been made up all day. They got someone right up to us, but I was surprised by that.
The locationa and staff is great. The Hotel rooms are shabby
Friendly staff and traditional hotel
Good location near main atractions Yes, bad attention, lack of amenities.
They hit me with a $30 dollars plus tax facility fee which is ridiculous why should we pay facility valet parking is ridiculous expensive , they hotel needs to be updated the style is from the late 90's we should get more for what we paid for
I like the location of the Park Lane Hotel. The stuff was very friendly. I didn't like that when I got to my rood the bathroom looked dirty. The toilet seat had a urine on it which wasn't the best welcoming moment.
The location is amazing and the staff generally helpful. Rooms need some updating as do the bathrooms, but overall the hotel is good value by NYC standards.
Location is good. The front desk people are not friendly. They hit me with a "Facility Fee" of $30.00 puls tax (daily) no prior explanation from the front desk ( as to what Facility had I used) when I checked out. Poor communication with guests. Luckily I did ask them to waive this charge. They should explain to me on Facilities Fee when I check in!. Poor customer service! Would I come back to this hotel? You guess!
Great location, fabulous staff, good amenities. Old beds, lumpy pillows, dated decor.
The staff was friendly and the location was great. The guest services were pretty quick: We had issues with the first room and were quickly moved upon request. One of our charge ports stopped working and it was quickly replaced. Lamp shades were dusty and were quickly cleaned upon request. The rooms are really outdated and truly need to be updated, ESPECIALLY the bathrooms. We had to request a move from the first room due to the tub leaking. The sinks and tubs are chipped and the tubs don't drain well (both rooms). The lamps were dusty and some were broken. The hallways are a bit dark and carpet looks dingy. There is a mandatory facility fee that includes calls, wifi, etc...that is overpriced and totally not worth it.
The bed was certainly comfortable. Probably the best part of the room. A coffee maker would be nice to have.
Large Thermostat didn't work so tbe temperature was 80 degrees all day. Couldn't call front desk BC phone didn't work. Old towels were in room
The room was overlooking Central Park and very enjoyable. My Grandaughter(10) and I were so impressed by the hotel service. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. Best NY trip ever! Central to everything You see and hear everything in NY. Its a life experience !
Location was perfect! They have a house car that can take you to the airport or pick you up. We had a king room that was beautifully decorated and so spacious. Would definitely stay here again. There were a couple of spots that were stained on the shower curtain and on the down comforter. However, I never felt that these things weren't clean there were just some spots. The knobs on the shower were backwards and the facet was slanted so it was sometimes difficult to turn the shower off. This doesn't take away from the fact that the shower felt absolutely amazing!
Good location and comfortable bed Huge amounts of dust on the wall, no fridge, no tea amenities, staff selectively nice to some guests only, no breakfast despite of the USD 400 per night tag
They ignored my original reservation of a King executive suite and put me in a double room. This room had gum on the floor, the bathroom looked dirty, the carpet was disgusting and discolored, overall it needed to be updated. I complained and they ignored my reservation, again, and put me in another double room. This room was slightly updated, but still not what I paid for! After returning a third time, they finally gave me the King room I paid for, but it was almost as disgusting as the first room. Luckily, I had business meetings and was not in my room very much, but it made the end of a long day very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!
Amazing park view from the room
Quiet and luxury. I think is too expensive comparing with Plaza were I was for 3 nights on the same trip.
the uniformed doormen and elevator operators.
We were impressed by the friendly staff and the feeling of being made very welcome. All the staff we talked to were so polite and friendly and obviously enjoyed their working environment at the hotel. no, nothing
i visited nyc no everything was perfect
The top, or at least very close to it; you still feel at home, or perhaps even better than at home, with a very friendly and helpful staff.
The rooms were beautifully updated and luxurious. The location is perfect. The only thing that we didn't like was the very, very long wait for room service, especially when it was obvious that the hotel had few guests that weekend.
have not heard any "no, it is not possible" no
Friendly and helpful staff, great location and comfortable rooms
Nice facilities and great location Hotel staff could be more helpful
good personal service and good location my deluxe room which is more expensive than their standard and superior rooms already was very small for the price i paid even in nyc. also tiny closet space and drawer space.
excellent location in quiet street of Madisson aveniu on Manhattan ,very close to Central park and all shops. Very professional staff always willing to help. Very comfortable beds with beautiful luxury shits with silky finish. aircondition was not working well and making it worse buy high temerature of 40° BUT STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL BUYING SMALL AIR CONDITIONS FOR EACH ROOM ! Special treatment only for guests with american express credit card, it would be nice if that treatment is extended to those traveling with visa gold card.
The location was great!
The attentiveness of the staff and the location. The bed was a little uncomfortable.
small hotel and very close to Central Park. service was impeccable no
The hotel staff was - without any exception - very committed and excellently prepared to facilitate all guest needs immediately Concierge recommended a restaurant (the water's edge) to follow the 4th of July fireworks, but from there one could not see even one rocket. A lot of money wasted for nothing.
Pristine gym and pool, stylish service and friendly staff but not snobby. Great turn down service. Amazing bathroom and overall decor. Very clean and new. We went with our 4 year old. They where nice to us even though we had a little kid with us. We used to live on NYC but now are just visitors. So this hotel is perfect location. I will only stay here from now on in NYC. No complaints
This hotel was absolutely beautiful. Very spacious and luxurious. It has a great location and a spectacular pool. We loved our stay so much.
Everything - and especially Norman the Bartender - a great person. None.
great location and view on Central park
Very dedicated hard working staff from the front door men to the cleaning people. Exceptional service, wonderful amenities, excellent location, close to everything. Nothing.
Faultless service, excellent attention to detail, great location some problems with check-in, room was not ready
This hotel is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The Ritz Carlton staff could not do enough for you. The place is luxurious and no request is too small. The staff are very courteous and even though the Hotel is geared more towards adults and business travellers, the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming to my two children. Who also thought this hotel "rocked"!!
The best things about the Ritz Carlton Central Park are its Club Lounge area and Spa. Especially good is the ladies lounge where frest fruit, beverages and La Prarie products are provided at no extra cost. The hotel is expensive but worth every cent.
The service at this hotel is the best we ever had.
Staff were incredibly courteous, friendly and helpful. Club level facilities and food were excellent. Surprized considering the price that the room was a bit small
location room comfort breakfest , no restaurant for dinner , staff has charge double my card
If you want impeccable service, and enjoy every amenity you could think of, then this is your hotel! Everything from friendly service to comfortable clean rooms, this hotel delivers. It's close to everything interesting, theatre, shopping, restaurants. I can't wait to return! Thank you St. Regis. A fun-filled weekend that gave us a life time of memories.
Beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff. Location couldn't be better. If you enjoy luxury this is the place.
My experience made every other hotel I have stayed at seem 5-Star! I paid over $----- for the night and checked out to sleep at a hotel staffed by sane people. The security guard Patrick banging on my hotel door demanding entry and falsely accusing me of smoking marihuana. I am a 55 year old man and my guest was a medical doctor. No phone call, No 'Sorry to bother you sir...' Just an unhinged rent-a-cop. Wow!
Great location, very friendly staff, great burger joint downstairs. Everything is an extra, you have to pay to use the gym or get internet access.
Very well located Breakfast room too noisy, too busy and as a consequence breakfast too slow. As a result we used other venues. No sauna or steam room and pool area disappointing.
The location The room did not smell very good and it did not have basic amenities like a coffee machine!
Check out was at 12 Check in was at 2, and the room I was position at had no views.
The heat was turned off by policy and could not be turned on. The in room thermostats appeared to be operational but did nothing. I wasted a lot of timing adjusting a non-operational thermostat and got a cold. Management clearly could not care less. Have been staying at the hotel since it opened and will never return. I will make sure every hotel review Web site is aware of this. I already informed a friend's daughter who recommends lodging for staff and visitors for a major New York financial services company. Pretty expensive hotel to have heat like a tenement.
Liked the Pool and location close to Central Park and 5th Avenue.
Great swimming pool, great restaurant, great location, great service Nothing!
close to times square and central park this hotel is not so clean than they say
Great location with gorgeous views. Don't miss Norma's brunch. Among the best in the city.
Great big room, great location and has one of the best burgers in town
Location of hotel was great, but they could not check me into my 26th floor Central Park view room on time, nor tell me when my room would be ready; I needed to change clothes for a dinner event, so they finally put me in a room which Karolin said was at least as nice as the room I had requested, guaranteed and prepaid to have. she said she personally checked the view. it was on a lower floor, had a blocked view, and another noisy office building's a/c unit, so close someone waved at me through their window when I got back at midnight. No view of Central Park. I requested room change, and finally got my Central Park view my last night there. Crowded lobby/bar/concierge area due to Burger Joint restaurant line a large part of the day...residents of hotel had to wait an hour in line if they wanted to eat there.
The location was fabulous. We could walk to most of the sights that we wanted to visit. The suite was not comparable to others in the same price range, based on my prior experience. There was no turn down service, nor complimentary items that you may have forgotten, ie toothbrush. Also a separate room does not necessarily mean there is a door.
convinient noise level from the street and ventilation
great place great staff convienient to NEW YORK
Me and my family loved the days that we spent in Aka Central Park... The staff is great... The location is wonderful... We felt like home... No
Location, Cleanliness, confort
Good location, clean comfortable rooms bathroom too small for double rooms
Please write at least 15 words
Spacious and well-equipped, comfortable appartmens, excellent location, concept, friendly and helpful staff, free access the Internet, attractive design,
The location is awesome. The room was great also. Nice bed, shower. Free internet with good speedy. For 7 days or less has a housekeeping for free.
We have nothing but complements for the hotel. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, without exception, the location ideal and the quality of rooms first class.
The hotel is exotically sparse, elegant in its appointments, despite the unfinished sense of the rooms - you believe you are in a loft to be sure. Rooms need a luggage rack to place suitcases on, and the lighting in the bathroom was not informed by a woman.
Very good location and friendly helpful staff. Very comfortable beds Small bath, no counterspace. Our room faced the street and was very noisy from the outside traffic.
Excellent location for sightseeing, shopping and Central Park.
Great little hideaway in the heart of midtown.
The relatively small size of the hotel. The high rate on the 30th and 31st December (500$+ , with the charges/tax)
Decor and location The street was noisy at night (e.g. garbage collection) and windows didn't keep the noise out; air conditioning was blowing air straight on my head when sleeping
I found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful - this gives such a good atmosphere. I would have wished that their coffee shop served tea - why not?
Everything. The room was nice, the staff was outstanding Nothing. I intend to make it my go-to hotel for my overnights in the cityp
The pictures don't do it justice. Great location. I had an incredible stay!
Impeccable service, superb location, quality amenities and good onsite food and drink We booked relatively short-notice, so per-night rate was pricey but equivalent to other similar nearby properties such as The Quin or The Warwick
the showers are incredible, the staff are friendly/helpful, and the rooms are beautifully designed.
The hotel room was comfortable. The location was good. Someone through the valet service took our "toll money" out of our car. Not what we expected.
efficiency and courtesy of staff . Ideal location. value for money. Accommodation excellent room very comfortable very clean. We did however find the continental breakfast at the bistro poor. Not worth the money.
Excellent facility and staff I forgot my razor and they gave me a free razor that made me bleed profusely! I can't fault them for my own mistake, but, please find better emergency razors for your guests Lombardy, everything else was perfect.
The location was brilliant and the hotel was quality. The room was huge! The price on booking.com was great, wouldnt be that great if had to pay full price. The front desk were not all that accomodating. Mde us feel like we didnt belong there.
Good location, lux accomodation None, we loved it!
The room was large, larger than a typical hotel in NY. The bed was king size and very comfortable. Having a kitchenette was a pleasant surprise. Very quiet, also not typical in NYC. The room needs some sprucing up. Needs painting.
We were extremely pleased with the room -- unexpectedly luxurious. Very friendly helpful staff. Appreciated relatively inexpensive valet parking.
I was upgraded to an apartment which was designed as a home, with beatiful artwork, books etc. It made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. The lack of plates in the continental breakfast
The size of the room was incredible, especially since the price was comparable to other, much smaller, rooms in the same area. You are basically getting a small apartment for the price of a regular hotel room. The building is quite old. If people have allergies or other aversions to older heating systems, etc., I would avoid this hotel.
staff and location
beautiful big rooms. excellent location. the service was not bad but not so kind, as you'd expect from this kind of hotel .
The staff was incredibly thoughtful, and the room outstanding. Not a thing - excellent experience all round
easily accesible and friendly staff no lounge. A hotel of this nature should have a lounge
A superb, class-act, old world hotel. The real thing. Can't wait to stay again. No.
Professional staff. Huge room for nyc. Complimentary products in refrigerator (water, sodas) Nothing.
the old world ambiance and the courtesy and professionalism of the staff.
Staff were very friendly; rooms were cozy and comfortable and quiet. It's quite lovely but a bit staid for my taste. Location though is fantastic
Everything was first class! No negatives!
Location, size and service
The location of the hotel is just wonderful - could not be better. The lobby and doormen were very friendly and got to know us during the week we stayed. Our room was beautiful but had no view whatsoever - it looked into a lightwell. My wife and I felt that the front desk staff let the place down. We were promised an upgrade to a room with a view from one receptionist and told to come back at 4pm on our 2nd day to move. After coming from lower Manhattan to make the promised move the receptionist had a change of heart and told us no other rooms were available - although we knew that there were. Front desk staff were the only disappointment during our stay.
Very good : staff (russian- Ika); free WI-FI; cleaning room; location; breakfast for New-York. In Russian-плохая звукоизоляция и стеклянная стена между душем и комнатой (номер не очень большой!) Ваd vollume isolation, glasses wall in doush and no big room
Location and hotel staff Bad isulation from outside noice (windows are not good enough), not enough spece for the cloths of two persons and not haveing restourant or/and bar.
Great location, nice design, spatious rooms and bathrooms (including large, non-typical for the US showers). Good continental breakfast with wide choice of fresh pastries and fruit. Very nice and helpful staff.
The service is superb. The breafast room could be a little biger.
- Great location. - Clean. - Efficient and friendly staff. - Beds are old with sagging mattresses. - Pillows are rock-hard. - problems above result in one's body being really bent through the night, causing a lot of discomfort and inability to rest. - Old furniture. - Face-lift is overdue for this property.
Noyhing in this hotel Yhe rooms are to smale the loby nothing restorant nothing I dont recomend this hotel
Location, room decor. Charges for wifi, and it's very slow.
The location in Mid-town and room comfort are top here....average room rates are on the ridiculous side. The lobby is not very inviting, but the breakfast is very good.
Very clean, comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Pre-ordered room service was on time or early. Very quiet - no city noise. Tiny rooms
cool looking rooms, great location steps from central Park and massage chairs in room
Great location, good rate, courteous staff, nice bed linens, nice bath products, courtesy cappucino machine in the lobby. Very small room, no lock on bathroom door, carpet seemed dirty, mattress was old (two people sink to the middle), inferior hair dryer
The staff we interacted with were professional and very friendly, and were the redeeming feature of this establishment. The room appointments were odd (microfiber wall covering?), shoddy, in poor repair, and seemed unclean. I would not recommend this hotel to others.
Loved the location of the hotel, and the complimentary coffee and snacks. The room size was adequate for our needs, as we were only in our room to sleep. There was minimal noise from outside, and we had enough space for our belongings. The safe in the room was an added plus. The bed was very uncomfortable, and was almost as hard as the floor. Even in our exhausted state, we had trouble sleeping. Several of the staff, including the front desk and cafeteria staff, were brusque and tired of hearing questions or concerns. The other staff were friendly and partially compensated for this. In the end, it was a pleasant stay, but the friendliness of the staff could be improved.
Location bathroom had an odd odor, rooms looked dated and worn
Great location. Shower was great with good water pressure Strong mildew or mold smell the entire stay
It was centrally located and just blocks from Central Park...but those were the only two good things about it. The hotel falsely advertised what its bathrooms looked like and how they were appointed. The bathroom nor the room itself was anything like the photograph. When I inquired about the discrepancy, the clerk said oh, it was an advertising mistake because those rooms are our penthouse rooms in the photos. While they knew we were two people in the room they consistently gave us towels for one (one wash cloth, one face towel, one bath towel). there was no patio as advertised. When we called to have ice (no ice machine) or anything else brought up, no one answered the phone at the front desk or house keeping. The windows did not work, the lights in the room did not all work. Horrible experience.
Very clean, very comfortable beds. Staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be staying here again as the location is terrific. Subway is close by but it was an easy walk to museums and Central Park. Many great local restaurants and Whole Foods is a short walk away. I loved the "my pie" takeout around the corner.
the location, the bed, and espicially Pernel the shower
price was right, good location noisy, poor service, still under construction.
The staff is excellent. There are additional amenities including a bar, restaurant and nice seating area. The rooms are nice, but a bit dark. Would like softer towels.
very comfortable beds and friendly staff Room service was not great - and there is no lounge /foyer area to meet and greet or to sit and have a coffee.
The junior suite was nice. I had to request twice at the front desk that an engineer come to my room to check on noise in the walls. The engineer said that nothing could be done as it is the result of water going down the pipes. Thus, my sleep was disturbed multiple times in the evening. In addition, I requested to be moved which they could not and did not offer to move me to an equal or better suite.
Staff, location, quite clean. // Empleados serviciales, localizacion muy buena, bastante limpio. Still working on the refit. Air Conditioning very noisy. Very expensive breakfast as many other hoterls in ny. // Sigue en obras. El aire acondicionado muy ruidoso. Desayuno carisimo como casi todos los hoteles de ny.
It was a very fun design for the hotel, and I really liked the modern/scandinavian look, especially the stone and glass bathrooms! The bed was surprisingly not as comfortable as I would expect from a hotel. It was a bit hard, and the sheets (especially the fitted one) a bit scratchy (though the comforter was very soft and nice!)
work in progress in the hotel.
The hotel is in the last stages of intensive renovation, but the renovated rooms are up to modern luxury standards and any inconvenience that you might experience is more than compensated for by the really cheerful staff. The Opia restaurant, which is independently owned by French management is good quality and a it has buzzing, funky bar.
Room was good. Had everything that was need. Free wifi would have been nice. Carpet was a little old/dirty.
The hotel is perfectly located on 57th Street, a short walk from the Museum of Modern Art, Lincoln Center, Central Park and the Broadway Theaters. The staff was friendly and helpful; our suite was very quiet and quite roomy with lots of closets. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. The furnishing are dated but otherwise functional.
Close to Carnegie Hall, pharmacy, market, liquor store, other shopping and subway station. Uber is a great way to get around NYC and half the cost of cabs. The Salisbury's breakfast is a good deal for $10. Staff is helpful and friendly. I'd stay there again. It's not super-fancy, but the bed was comfortable and the housekeeping staff does a solid job maintaining an older property that strives mightily to stay competitive in a tough market. No complaints from me! Our room had a coffee pot, small frig and microwave plus a small sink adjacent. Little details could use improvement, such as shampoo and lotion in small bottles vs plastic packs that need to be cut open. Broken wall plate on the bathroom light switch. The electrical system (wall sockets, light switches) could use updating. Plumbing seemed fine. It's an older hotel with aging infrastructure. If you want ultra-modern, go elsewhere but you'll pay 2-4 times as much.
My main concern is having a spacious place. This is about twice the size than you'd get with many other hotels in NY for the same price. Place was comfortable, great location, staff was friendly and helpful. I'm very satisfied! There were some cracks in the ceiling (room 1205), no biggie though.
The location is great for Central Park and Time Square The staff was not helpful. Need a computer to print boarding passes-we had to pay $3.95 to access a computer in the lobby for 15 minutes to print boarding passes. The rooms are very big for NYC standards, but the entire hotel is run down. Need new carpets everywhere.
Very friendly staff and close to Time Square (if you didn't mind walking a few block). Also used the parking garage they recommended just one block over. Hotel was a little old fashion but it did give you that New York living feel.
The location is excellent - two blocks from Central Park, sub
