The Edition has become my favorite hotel in NYC. It's modern and clean without being trendy. It's luxury without being pretentious. The service was first class. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet. Even at $500-$600 a night it's a value. The restaurants and bars were fantastic. I think being across from Madison Park adds something unique. I highly recommend the Edition. Didn't love the elevator set up.
Hotel charged a non-optional $20 'facility' fee
Large, contemporary room provided two comfy full size beds and a modern bath with a great shower. Staff was extremely friendly, happy and accommodating. Complimentary water, juice and soda in mini fridge. A super new find for this NYC regular.
the concierge is great They tried to charge an in advertised facility fee of $20 per night. They just had signed a new agreement with pricelist e to show this being collected at the hotel. This did not happen. Front desk person was clueless. Manager resolve the issue.

Complementary soft drinks, juice, and water in our mini bar every single day of our stay! Location is great too!! The city view rooms do not offer much of a view of NYC.

Staff wasn't always accommodating to my needs. Certain employees went above and beyond to help. Others just hung up the phone when I needed help. Small rooms. Badly designed space. Inability to control temperature of room. Rude staff. The engineer was helpful but the front desk staff treated me like I was in their way and bothering them constantly
Nice size room, friendly staff, and overall great experience. Only thing odd is the bathroom wall, is tinted glass, that you can see in the bedroom.
Great location, great price for the day we stayed, room was clean and a nice size for NYC. When checking in they indicated that the water would be turned off at 9am the following morning for emergency repairs. So much for taking the say off and sleeping in. Well, apparently it was only the hot water, which we learned about after getting to the room and reading the note that was slipped under the door. When we got to front desk in the morning, they asked how our stay was and I said it was good. They asked - why only good - so I explained the water situation (it was about 10:30am). They indicated that they hadn't even started the project yet. We went from all water off from 9am-9pm, to only the hot water, to - well the hot water will be turned off - whenever. I'm sure there's a better way.
This hotel was so amazing, I didn't expect much for the price but everything was spotless. The staff was amazing, they came up to our room 2 times a day to bring ice and they were super fast. King bed was very comfy and the hotel was within walking distance from Times Square but if ur visiting New York get a subway card and get everywhere for like 20 min at most. Perfect stay no complaints.

Celebrating a fun night in NYC with my husband for his milestone birthday. As soon as the staff at The Jade Hotel realized this, they sent us up a bottle of champagne! This really got our night off to a fun start. Such a great boutique hotel in a fun part of Greenwich Village with kind, attentive, and courteous staff! We would got back in a heartbeat!
The hotel is on a nice quiet street, with easy access to the subway. The rooms are beautifully appointed, though on the small side. The staff was helpful and courteous. I would definitely stay here again.
Location and ambiance. Great place in historic district The 2nd floor is WAY to close to the Friday crowds of rowdy people on the street. You are also right in the middle to 2 major late night clubs.
I really enjoy staying here. It's a bit noisy sometimes (tho you impressed my colleague who was also staying with you with the portal pillow.) The staff are great, the rooms are reasonable size compared to New York's miniscules like the Hudson, the Standard. And everything is thoughtful. The quality of the interior and beds is impressive too. Particularly happy about the toothpaste and the Bigelows supplies. Makes it feel spa like. The staff are very helpful and charming including all the housekeeping and maintenance folk. I intend to stay often. And I have recommended all my colleagues to stay here. I'm from Sapient. It might be worth doing some kind of corporate deal with us.

Location was excellent. Close to Chelsea Market, Art District. Easy walk to Greenwich Village and SoHo. Very clean and comfortable room; small, but standard for NYC. Nice breakfast. Very helpful and courteous staff. Will definitely return on future NYC trips.
Flexible and very friendly staff, great service, proximity to famous meat packing district shops and restaurants in unparalleled ! Little pricey for the size of the rooms, this is made up for by it's great location. On the weekends there's a 'real' party going on in the basement lounge and be base travels up at least to the 5th floor, if your a problem sleeper then the complimentary earplugs are a must.
It was unique and within walking distance of a plethora of restaurants To get the free coffee in the morning, we had to be served in the restaurant, rather than just a self-serve station
The location was perfect, close to the West Village, Chelsea market, subways. The room was very quiet, clean and well organized. The outdoor patio bar was excellent, very friendly. Also liked the restaurant with breakfast on the patio. Would definitely stay there again. The lobby is quite dark and the hall on our floor was also quite dark, but we got used to it.

The Maritime has the nicest, and most personable staff. The Maritime lacks in some of the things you come to expect from a hotel, such as an ice machine, but the staff is more than happy to bring up ice.The only draw back is that the hotel is located right above the super trashy Hiro club. If your room faces the club, it is noisy.
Excellent location in heart of Meatpacking district/Chelsea--minutes from Greenwich Village & Soho; chic design; lovely bathroom/shower and toiletries; circular windows; very comfortable bed and high quality towels/sheets; stylish restaurant with patio. Bed was smallish; corridors and lobby a bit dark; breakfast ought to have been included for the price.
Location is excellent and our room was very good. Hotel design is contemporary and modern. The door staff appeared disinterested in guests and there was generally a lack of friendly hospitality that you usually enjoy in the US. With the exception of the bar staff nobody smiled at us!
Fantastic location with excellent staff, our room was fantastic we received a free upgrade on check in. Hotel bar and restaurant are well worth visiting, the local suway is a 2 minute walk away.

Good location. Some check in staff were terrific, some were condescending that I booked my room through kayak. I had to beg them to get my SPG preferred benefits. After I asked enough people, I got them, after hearing different stories about their policy.

Room was great. Juice Bar in the lobby was awesome. PH Bar is the best view in the city. Swimming pool. Ambiance. My bathroom sink was plugged up. Houskeeping doesn't seem to be perceptive or ready to take action when they see something like this or I would not have encountered it. Also, I needed to print a boarding pass and their solution was for me to email them instead of having a computer where I could print my boarding pass. I was annoyed by that.

The room was quirky and modern It was underneath a nightclub and so all night the music thumped through the ceiling.
Great location, lobby decor is very cool and onpoint. The rooms, though small, were very well done and loved the huge shower. Service was just awful. First day shower curtain filthy, sink didn't drain. Second day, shower curtain fixed, sink still not working. Third day, room never made up Fourth day, asked for ice (there are no ice machines at all), never arrived. Constant - the hallways always smell like food, because the facility is so well insulated that any room service smells will linger forever, and yes it really does. Forget about sleeping. There's a DJ that spins until 4am. My room was on the 10th floor. You could hear it reverberating through the courtyard. There was not much to do about that. Only two elevators for the rooms - so you'll wait for a while to go up or down. Oddly too, you need to use your key in the elevators in *both* directions, and the key swipe hardly worked. The weekends were a joke. Bar/Bat Mitzvah's, parites, the rooftop bar.is a huge draw and all kinds of trendy beautiful people. But that meant that the elevators were packed with party goers, drinks spilled, lots of ruckus that the scene brings with it. Hey it 's fun once in a while but at Dream Hotel it never stopped. Will not stay there again. I hope you know what you're getting in to when booking there.
Great Nightlife scene. Lovely juice cafe in front. Concierge helped book dinner reservations. Banging doors in the hallway, early housekeeping service. Slow elevators at night when club was using all of them.
Location was good. We got to the pool at 10am and put our names down to be told it was a 3 hour wait.

Good location, restaurant, bar, and pool were all lovely. Well-kept hotel. Rooms are tiny, and the staff was very inattentive. I asked three times (including reaching out once before my stay) about booking an activity and each time the concierge or staff told me someone would get back to me. Each time, no one ever got back to me. Finally we ended up missing out on the activity we wanted to do because of the staff's lack of attention.
The staff was AMAZING so cooperative and helpful with any little request!!! A+ The rooms are small and when you book you have to be very careful if want two double beds, the wording makes you think you are getting two beds and its is one. Three of our group independently made that same mistake.

The location is great! I didn't mind that the room was small because I was only there to sleep. The morning staff was super friendly and helpful. The evening staff was rude and not as welcoming as the morning staff. I was a bit put off but again, just for the purpose of sleeping I didn't mind staying here.

We received excellent customer service checking in and out, and no difficulty in getting a late 12 Noon checkout. The room could have been a bit cleaner, there was some residue all over the bathroom floor, cracks to the mirror in the bathroom.
the service by the hotel manager, reception and all other members that we met was beyond our expectation. They care about the guests and looking to provide the best service. The rooms are clean and modern and felt very specious the location is excellent the shower water flow was weak.

Comfortable beds & room, A+++ staff,excellent location for our purpose. Only complaint was that the air conditioning was not working properly. Gave the illusion you were in control and did its own thing. Therefore, room was too warm at night.
The hotel was in a great location for sight seeing and the sub way. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean. The beds were very comfortable. Although the breakfast was an "all you could eat". I thought $16.50 was a little over priced
Chose this hotel for the price/location. Obviously you don't exactly get what you're paying for in NYC, but it was a clean hotel that was just that, nothing special. They slap you with a $50 resort fee without telling you - was told I had no extra charges at checkout, and saw the charge on my credit card later.

It was a very basic hotel and rooms were on the small size, but it was exactly what we needed. We loved that there was a microwave and fridge in the room. Clean. Small clean lobby. Staff were generally very friendly. Nothing.
Nice touches were that the lobby had a water dispenser with fresh fruits in the water and cookies were served at the lobby at certain times. Staff was attentive to our needs. Broken shower head- sprayed from the base. Tight quarters with barely enough room to move luggage for 3.
This was my first stay at Hilton Garden Inn Chelsea. I like everything about this hotel. Location is very good in mid-town Manhattan close to shops, clubs, bars.The customer service was ok. The room was big, very clean & comfortable.If you are in a mood for a Playboy TV channel it's free you can watch it in your room. I was on 19th floor the city view was ok nothing special. I will recommend this hotel to my friends & family. From 0-10 I'll give 9++++. Check-in is at 3pm. I arrived at 3:30 pm and my room was not ready I had to wait for 15 minutes in a lobby.
For New York this was a pretty good size room with 2 queen beds.
Everything was 100% perfect. Room was clean, bathroom was clean, view was nice. Staff was friendly and accommodating with our luggage needs etc. I chose to be on the highest floor to get the best view and we heard loud music coming from down the street or somewhere outside as we were going to bed. It eventually stopped, and no one complained of not getting a good night's sleep due to it.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Tasty free coffee in the lobby. Good sound proof wall so that we did not get bothered by young group's loud chatting next door through night. The only issue was the noise of the air conditioner heater.
The location on 28th Street is very central and convenient. One of the elevators didn't seem to be working very well and the other was very slow. Luckily I was on the 2nd floor, so I took the stairs, which were clean and well lit. It was pouring rain when I arrived and the front desk had no umbrellas to lend. It was also very loud from street noise in my room. Inside from the hallway was quiet, even though I was near the elevator.
Customer service, reservation team and management all were pretty terrible. Provided no accomodation for a change or adjustment in reservation. In addition the front desk person was rude and abrupt when nobody else was even in the lobby. I left this hotel and went right next door to the cleaner and friendlier Hotel Indigo.
I was skeptical about such a good rate but Wyndham is a decent brand so I went for it. Super friendly staff, quick check-in and out. Room was the "cozy" size you'd expect in Manhattan which more than served the purpose. I'll definitely keep this on my list of places to check first next time I'm NY bound.
Location was fantastic, very quiet, not a lot of rooms on each floor, and the bathrooms were surprisingly big. Actual room was a bit tight, but that's not a big deal, especially when you consider the location.
It was very close to the art and other things we wanted to see.

Our room keys continually stopped working no information in room about area hallway was filthy had not been vacuumed in a long time they provided a continental breakfast but since we booked through third party website they would not let us eat breakfast.
Everything! The staff was nice, the location is great, it was right in the centre of it all. Though the view wasn't great (surrounded by other tall buildings), there's so many things to do outside your hotel room, so I'm not sure you should complain about that. The water pressure was a little weak. That's it.
Good location. Housekeepnng threw away my contact lens solution, they opened the window when they cleaned so my room was freezing every night when I got back. Three days in a row my key didn't work and I had to go back downstairs to have it reprogramed. There was a super funky smell in the room. Thin walls, I could here doors slamming, people talking, etc. There was a thermostat and another heater. When I would turn the thermostat off, the other heater stayed on and I was boiling at night. Internet was really slow. Elevators were also super slow. Poor water pressure in the shower.
The location was convenient for out of towners and the rooms were clean and modern. The shower was excellent. I don't travel to spend excessive time in my hotel room- it's just a comfortable, clean place to sleep and located centrally. This place qualifies. That staff was lovely. There was nothing to complain about. Hotel room coffee is terrible but there's a Starbucks at the end of the block and local coffee houses just a bit further away.

The position is great. The Empire State Bldg is quite close, as well as Times Square and Union Square. You are in the heart of Manhattan! On top of that, the room was super-super-clean and very comfortable. The hotel had some problem with credit cards, however the staff was very willing to co-operate to solve.

Perfect location for where I needed to be. Quick check-in and check-out. Comfortable bed/linens/pillow. Nice windows, sunny. Way too noisy. Was on 2nd floor, heard traffic and music from the club next door all night. Had to sleep with headphones on to drown out the noise. No curtains or blackout shades on the windows. With two walls being filled with windows, the blinds did nothing to block out all the street lights and signage outside. I would stay again but only if on a much higher floor and on the back side of building. (or bring a sleep mask)

The room was a decent size and clean. It had everything as described. There was very little traffic noise, which was good as a number of people had complained about that when I read the reviews The breakfast room really needs to be larger as it was a bit crowded.
Location Construction at 3am Overpriced Didn't clean my room until 4pm one day
Much roomier than expected for a Manhattan hotel, very clean and comfortable. A hotel service fee was tacked on at end of stay. This was an annoyance and I had to request staff remove the fee. They tried to tell me it was in the agreement, but I showed them my online receipt. They removed the charge right away, but it felt like this was a purposeful attempt and I'd bet many people don't even argue the charge.
The staff were excellent. Waiting a whole week to remove the obligatory room charge for incidentals not purchased. Stayed at the Liaison Capitol Hill in DC the following week and was not charged anything against my card at check in.
Convenience, two blocks from the Metro. You can walk to Times Square. Bathroom was a bit cramped. No bacon for breakfast:(
Easy subway and walking distance to stores. Nice room. Noisy street traffic on Broadway. No decent mirror in room, bathroom had a TV built in, so wasn't useful, full length was in a dark corner.
Loved the bed and shower - memory foam mattress and a badass shower. Felt similar to a European hotel, smaller yet felt big enough. Great lighting, heating, and staff was great. Not much. Had a great stay!

It has a reasonable location in the heart of NYC. It was very disappointing overall, and did not meet our expectations. The room was described as having two double beds, when in fact it came with two single beds, the description of the room should be changed to twin room. The furniture in the room was also in poor condition and looked cheap, overall very poor value for the money paid.

i liked the head of staf - when she dident see the resorvation in their computer she calles the booking.com reservations and made shure that every think was ok on her free time - she was great the prices that the hotel gives are high for the facilities - they could lower the rate a little
Situation and free internet. Staff quite friendly. I found strange that the hotel couldn't provide any bill with the excuse that hotel was paid via bookings.
Great middle of Manhattan location with easy access to subway so we could walk or ride anywhere we wanted to go easily. Staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant/Bar on main floor "The Dog Hoyse" is way over priced for so so food and service.
