Overall, the stay was very nice. The bed was divine and the breakfast was very good. The only bad thing is the location - it is a nightmare to get to and there are no places near the hotel to eat, except for a 1/4 mile walk to another hotel, which was more a cafe than a restaurant. My room was also very noisy from what sounded like an alarm going off at 7am from a service door in my room and the bouncing trucks on the highway.
This hotel was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at ! It is not the ritz but that is not what I needed anyway ! From the time we checked in they people at the desk were so professional extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us . When we arrived they were in the precession of checking in a very large group and they did an amazing job to make the check in go as quickly as they could, I can't say enough about the amazing job the two young gentlemen did !! The hotel is extremely clean and very comfortable room size was bigger than I thought the breakfast was very good oh and another nice treat is on Friday nights they have fresh baked cookies at the desk for free !!! Was a treat !I highly recommend this hotel !
My husband and I stayed here for a convenient place to get into NYC. The room was a little small but the staff was very nice and all of the accomodations were what one would expect for the price. There was nothing wrong or outstanding about our visit to this hotel but it was fair and reasonable. We were satisfied.
This hotel was very clean. Breakfast was more then what we expected. The staff at this hotel were very helpful with directions and lineing up shuttle service when need. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great stay !
We had a good nights rest in a clean room with friendly staff. Our plan to stay close to EWR worked well with the free shuttle to terminal C at 3:30am. The hotel is very convenient and quiet even that close to the airport.
I will never stay here again or recommened it to anyone! First of all, I checked in at 7pm & had to wait unitl after 8pm for a pack & play for my daughter so she can go to sleep. I also had trouble with the card trying to get into the parking lot. I had to go back & park to go back into the lobby for them to fix my key...well it still didn't work so I had to go back in there AGAIN for them to fix it. Still didn't work, finally they lifted the gate up for me so I can get into the parking lot. I was also give a handicap room which I didn't know they had given me unitl I took a shower & because it was a handicap room, the shower head was broken so I had to hold the piece just to take a shower. It was a pain! When I had spoken to the lady & the desk in the morning, she said since I was a family of 4, and a reservation for a certain room, they should have given me the suite. Well we I spoke to the manager the next day, he said there was nothing he could do for me since I booked the reservation with Travel agency. So I hope you don't the same mistake I did & choose this hotel!
First of all at checkout, the guy wasn't friendly at all, then had to go in to lobby twice because card wouldn't scan to let me in parking lot. Waited over an hour for a crib for my one year old daughter. Then they gave me a handicap room, (which I should have been asked) if I would except it but the worst thing of it all is that the shower head was broken & it was awkward for me to take one the way I had too. Anways, when checking out, I complained to the front desk which the lady working behind it said, since I had a reservation, the employee that checked me in was suppose to offter me the suite instead of just sticking me in a handicap room especially since I had 2 little ones & 2 adults. Anways, wrote a comment card out complaining abiout all of this. I DO NOT recommened it here at all!
Our stay was very pleasant. Staff members very helpful hotel was very clean. Breakfast was good. Good proximity to new York and to newark penn station. I missed my way returning to the hotel twice, may not be easily accessable since entrance is not very obvious
Same as above.
As soon as checked in having problems with the toilet flush. It took them 12 hrs to fix that and didn't even have a courtesy to offer another room. Air Conditioning machine was broken and didn't work properly. We have only got the reasonable complimentary break-fast from our stay.
We stayed for one night and I wish it could have been more! The rooms have recently been remodeled. Very nice........not fancy, The complimentary breakfast was impressive. Many choices! The only complaint was that the pool was FREEZING! My kids were disappointed that they couldn't use it. Hot tub was not very hot, Took the shuttle to the airport and was there in minutes.
PRO's Staff was excellent - extremely helpful. Helped recommend the best means of travel for tourist locations. Free shuttle to the airport for easy travel to NYC. They gave me helpful maps of the subway system. Hotel location was great, only minutes to the Prudential Center. 24 hour coffee/tea in the lobby. FREE breakfast & there was a great variety of food! CON's 1st floor had the best vending options. You have to use a credit card on the floor I stayed on. The King Bedroom was small, hard to to maneuver, felt overcrowded. Bathroom was very small. No counter space, no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The windows in room do not open, stuffy in room. I called ahead to request having a mini-fridge. The hotel staff said it was first come first serve. When I checked in, I asked for a room with one, but we were advised that the king rooms do not have them, only the double rooms did. (We booked the King - couldn't switch us) The hot tub was broken and then the entire pool area was out of service soon after. We had food delivered, we called the front desk to tell them we would come down to get it. The staff insisted they come to the room, we felt uncomfortable about the delivery person coming right to the room door.
We styed in the sofabed king suite and it was perfect for us! Good continental breakfast!! The hotel shuttle runs every 30 mins to take you to the airport or to get on the train to NY City or wherever. 5 mins away from airport. Friendly & helpful hotel staff. Highly recommend!!
We were very pleased with this hotel! It's not real fancy but it's clean and the staff are very nice! There is only 1 small restaurant nearby but they have a list of restaurants that will deliver to the hotel. One restaurant called Mojito was excellent. The owner came over in his personal car and drove us to the restaurant. Then he showed us around the restaurant. We were served a WONDERFUL dinner and then one of the other owners drove us back to the hotel. The hotel has a WONDERFUL free buffet breakfast. Much nicer than any other we have seen. We arrived very early and check in time wasn't until 3 p.m. but they let us have our room at 9 a.m. with no extra change. Then our plane leaving out of here wasn't until 6:30 p.m. Check out time is 12 p.m but they let us stay until 3 p.m. We stayed here on the way to our destination and on the way back and would stay again without a doubt! The hotel is close to the airport and has a shuttle that runs about every 30 minutes to bring you to the hotel. There's no where to walk to because you are by the freeway, so don't plan on browsing or shopping.
Friendly staff, great location, pool is small and hot tub was not hot. Rooms are large and comfortable. Shuttle to Newark Airport was ontime and driver was extremely helpful and kind. We had a lot of bags and children and he was very helpful as were all of the staff at the hotel. I would come here again with my family.
It is a little tough to get in to the location by car especially if you don't like driving up in that area. It is my home area so I wasn't bothered by it. There is shuttle service to mass transit access to NYC but it can be expensive. There was a cheaper way to do it but since I only used it one day I paid the price. The room was clean and was cleaned every day. The shower was excellent with no fluctuation in the water temperature during the shower. Only complaint was that it was hard to regulate the room temperature.
