Only there 1 night, but staff were pleasant and efficient. No complaints at all.
quit environment and good hotel
Hotel Staff were very friendly. The wireless internet was not working in my room all the time.
There was a fault with the plumbing in the bathroom which made very loud vibrating noises thoughout the night. When we complained we were only given a 5 Euro discount - pretty poor compensation for having had virtually no sleep.
Great breakfast Nice clean modern rooms No quad rooms, which is a bit of a nuicance with kids
Convenient for car access to H/V park
The breakfast was better than average. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet and clean. It was over a kilometer's walk to the area where all the restaurants were. The dinner in the hotel restaurant was good but there was quite a lot of food and we wanted to try something else the 2nd night. The wine bar didn't appear to have a large variety of wine.
Hospitality, very good breakfast and free WiFi in the room Nothing, I prefer this Hotel already 15 years
nice place to stay and breakfast is nice. not easy to arrive for people without a car.
The proximity of the woods, since we were travelling with a dog. The vacuum cleaning of the room - there wasn't any. Since we had a dog, and walked every day in the woods, the room could have been hoovered during our stay.
Strange that a nearly empty restaurant was not willing or able to accommodate ten people at one table
in the middle of the wood. very relaxing. Lazy sunday: check out at 5pm No fridge in the standard room. Night porter a bit slow
Swimminhgpool, sauna, breakfast, childrens room Parking lot pretty full, so needed to walk a biut more to the car (minor issue)
Peacefull, the hotel staff were amazing. The best service i've ever got from hotel staff. The dinner at res' altough it was cheap but the food wasn't so good.
Good food, nice double bed
Hospitality drinks at arrival were a nice gesture! Excellent food!
Food, flexibility Bikes were all rented out
More a business hotel
great beds, great breakfast, lovely indoor pool
breakfastbuffet very well assorted ,walk in the woods
The staff & the food Decor is very dark
Friendly people. Good food, but not what I expected for the price. Beautiful decoration, modern room The minibar could have more choice. For a 5 stars hotel I expected more services
Large room, large bed, large bathroom, balcony, in the forest, swimming pool. sauna, free minibar, good TV, nice staff, great restaurant, good breakfast, nice terrace, shop for wines and more, free internet terminal in the library upstairs. VERY quiet room (nearby busy road but noise not in room with closed balcony door). Best rooms are 1.04, 1.06, 1. You have to like the very sober style, all black, with little colour. Therefore I hesitate to recommend it for romantics.
spacious room and bathroom breakfast overpriced,no fresh orangejuice. There was champagne, but nothing to accompany it really
Beautiful architecture, great rooms, great and comfortable bathroom. Excellent personal attention from staff. Great flexibility at finding solutions for you. The hotel is clearly focused on weekend guests and does not offer some of the services business guests require, such as a copy/printer room, quick breakfast earlier than 7 am.
The restaurant was excellent.
Rooms are wonderfully designed. Beautiful location. Sauna is uncomfortably small.
Very comfortable hotel. Nice swimming pool and sauna Very modern colors- a lot of black, red. Light colors will be more pleasant .
swimming pool almost empty, sauna was cool, tabletennis, nice location close to the wood, area is really quiet nice breakfeast, nice tapas restaurant no specific menu for the room service, they stop room service very early 9:30 PM The TV in the room looks like in a 1 star hotel.
The Bilderberg Hotel 't Speulderbos was in a very pretty location, and the public areas of the hotel were nicely decorated. The swimming pool was very pleasant. Staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. The breakfast was impressive. We didn't try the restaurant for dinner as we found excellent food in the village, but it did look appealing. Our bathroom was not as clean as I would have expected, and overall I felt that the room and the bathroom were ready to be re-fitted. Internet access for laptops was very expensive.
lovely forested setting near Het Loo, good service, and the best breakfast I've had in Holland.
nice surroundings, good pool, very friendly staff
The setting next to the village and the country walks
A beautifull countryside nearby the hotel friendly hotelstaff, even a nice welcome for our dog. best bilderberg we have been in, but as in most hotels the food is not what one expects. not only pricewise but also not all selfmade.
good Breakfast menu, facilities, lack of menus in English language.
Friendly and helpful staff, good food, good location and wonderful warm swimming pool.
Helpful and kindly staff.
TV very soft bed
This Hotel is a decent accommodation in a typical dutch tourist area for families or retired people.
Nice, recently rennovated hotel Breakfest might be better, no tracking routes directly from the hotel
Comfortable hotel in beautiful surroundings.
Location is good, close to plenty of interesting cities/villages and nature reserve Not a 4* hotel, neither the quality of service, breakfast or rooms are what you would expect from a 4* hotel, it is a 3* hotel. Sauna was still not available
cleanliness lack of fresh salads for breakfast; rather poor room accessories, at least according to American 4star standards
This hotel has no problem providing food for very different and difficult diets. They had no trouble making me a 3 course vegan dinner. The hotel is not easy to reach by public transport.
the bed was comfortable, breakfast was good.
Very modern. Very clean. Quite original so it changes from the other hotels ! I had the opportunity to go over there because of a promotion. Let's wee when it will the full price... The restaurant is not really a restaurant but a luxury cafeteria. Good, but not a large choice.
the room was just fabulous, real good value for money! none
Great location and great food for an affordable price The restaurant was understaffed during diner time, getting a drink or the bill took longer than expected.
The breakfast buffé was astonishing, the atmosphere was very cosy, staff very friendly. Would definitely come back again. Open bathroom idea not extremely appealing to me.
Easy to get to and park Would like a mini bar in room
Nice location in a suburb of Apeldoorn and we enjoyed a day trip through beautiful woods into De Hoge Veluwe national park and Kroeller-Mueller art museum with bicycles hired at the hotel. The restaurant was crowded and busy during the buffet dinner time, when many people form the town seemed to come to enjoy dinner. This proves how popular the place is, but it would be better for the hotel guests to avoid that time as the staff seemed to be very hectic and too busy to take enough care of them.
The hotel is very modern and very well equipped. The family room we got was really amazing and large. Excellent value for money. No refrigerator in the room. A bit strange for this kind of hotel.
Food, location, room, service was excellent ! The service was very good but not excellent.
location is good. Yes, service was poor, staff not well trained, food quality was barely adequate but service in restaurant was very poor
Breakfast was very good; and large room. far away from the city
Great location outside of Epe with cordial staff and comfortable accomadations Very small bathroom with no shower wall so floor in bathroom is very wet.
food was good room and bathroom design (interior architecture and space) are poor
situation small room
Nice hotel, beautiful surroundings, very friendly personnel. Breakfast was a bit simple but good. Lots of muskitos (also in the room) due to forest surroundings. Bathroom was very small (though nicely styled).
NIce clean room, friendly staff. There was very cold in the room on arrival, and the heating could not warm the place in 1 night.
The location of the hotel was wonderful. The service was outstanding and the food great
Nice room, little but nice pool, good and kind staff, in the middle of the woods so we saw deer and wild pigs while going there. big and great breakfast. Good value for money! Nothing, a real nice hotel
Location !!!! great The small selection on the menu, not an a la carte restaurant
Hotel lays beautiful in the forest, tea facilities in the room, swimming pool for free, very friendly staff
Good value for money 1. No double bed in this price available (only 2 separate beds together 2. Very small bathroom
the lounge, it was a nice place for a drink with the fire place, cosy. the beds (2 single beds instead of double), when we asked for it it couldn't be changed.breakfast was poor, less choice
Breakfast was very good
The staff were very hospitable and friendly. Which helped made our stay very enjoyable. This was made even more so by the provision of hot drinks during the marathon (the reason we were staying). and especially by the member of staff who stood out in the cold giving the drinks out. Many thanks.
Central in the city It's not a 4-star hotel, it's not clean and the breakfest is expensive!!
room was big, clean and very pleasent. hotel is located 2 min from central apeldoorn and close to several attractions in the area. nice swimming pool. sports room is small, not many instruments
Good workers The room was cold.
Well situated and easy to find. Very convenient for visiting Het Loo Palace.
The hotel was warm I found the some staff were not very helpful at all. The room was not always clean and at times had not been cleaned at all, the bed covers just pulled up but not made underneath, the floor was not vacummed, towels were not in the room, was just generally not clean. To have to go and ask for towels at the reception was not good and then to be given them to take back to the room was not acceptable, they should have been taken to the room by your staff, after all I was the one on holiday not your staff. Our stay was not a pleasant one.
Greeted with a complimentary drink for each of us. Caution: They automatically add 13 Euro x people x days stayed to your bill above what you agree to on booking.com. However, once I made them aware on day one, that no meals would be consumed, they happily removed the charges. We stayed there to have a somewhat local (40 min trip away) to Walibi World Amusement park. About the park... I have a 13 year old and when we first drove up to it, combined with the low fee of 26 Euro for an adult ticket, we didn't expect much. We stayed from opening to close, and had a blast. If you like rides, I recommend that you visit Walibi World if you stay here. Overall great experience. Especially for the price.
Was ok, not very surprising, no too bad
Spacious room, nicely decorated, great range of breakfast nothing
The hotel was clean and although they are redecorating we had no disruption to our stay. Ours was one of the newly decorated rooms and had no faults whatsoever. The food was good and the hotel is within walking distance of the towns restaurants and shops if you wanted a change. They even lend you a laptop if you forget yours. Only one member of staff was off with us - not rude just not as friendly or as helpful as the others.
Thank you for a very special 3 days in Oterlo. The staff was charming and efficient; the room perfect; and the location by Nationaal Park De Hoge Veluwe ideal. We also had an outstanding dinner and wonderful breakfasts.
Excellent food, lovely friendly staff, luxurious feel, country setting, close to Kroller Muller museum
Decent hotel, a little expensive. The room was very nice, and had a bathtub. Great service in the restaurant The internet connection was very expensive, and didn't even work for me. The muzak in the bar was really bad-old sappy 70s songs. A little difficult to get to town and back on the bus.
Everything. In fact we were booked in for just 1 night before intending moving on to Munster. Instead we cancelled Munster and stayed at the Hampshire an extra night. Not a thing.
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. breakfast was nice. and the location of the hotel was perfect for us.
Clean, very comfortable bed, good breakfast Very small room, no tea/coffee facilities
The staff were very helpful and welcoming, holding the restaurant open for us to allow for our slightly late arrival. The rooms were well appointed and very clean, the double room was very spacious. What was included represented excellent value for money with a really good and more than adequate breakfast included. We also had a good evening meal at a very reasonable price. Only slight criticism - the wine list was very limited. Absolutely not!
Wellness Jacuzzi/Sauna/Steam Bath/Shower! Themed rooms. Hire of bicycle facility. Room next to lift shaft.
The reception eems to be efficiently run and the hotel is in an attractive wooded residential area just off the ring road on the edge of the city centre (15 to 20 minute walk). The normal bedroom size is somewhat cramped and our room was not well decorated or furnished in an attractive style. The bathroom window was in a defective condition and repairs of this type need more urgent attention.
Everything was good There was nothing to dislike
location expensive meal, Spa expensive
Pleasant staff, especally lady who was on duty in the restaurant on Friday 21st May evening at 9.00pm, Oriental/Asian lady was very helpful and friendly.Close to shopping and restaurants, nice quiet area, very peaceful. Pillows could be a little firmer and not so soft, and maybe the mirror in the bathroom could be a little lower for shorter people.
a very pleasant clean comfortable hotel with a good restuarant and friendly effecient staff.
We arrived very late and were still served dinner. Flexible service. Good food. Good shower, very clean bathroom. Good bed. It's a long walk from town centre. No cash machines in the wide area. Of course, this is just a downside of the hotel's great location.
very comfortable, relaxing and quite place
The hotel is conveniently located near a bus stop, which allowed us to take public transport to the Kroeller-Mueller museum. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and restaurant is also quite good. The swisscom business center was clunky and expensive with a printer that did not function. The hotel staff did their best to make up for the deficiencies. Given how ubiquitous the internet has become both for business and for personal use (e.g. Facebook), the hotel really needs to update its approach to this technology.
Despite a latish arrival the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room service was quick and delicious. We both slept well so the bed must have been comfortable as well. The included breakfast the following morning was most comprehensive. All in all great value for money. Didn't really have time to find any faults as we were only there about 10 hours!
The availability of sauna, swimming pool and steam-bath. No air conditioning. Usually not a problem, unless it's summer.
Very pleasant and peaceful location. (Bit out of centre but right next to Het Loo palace and good bus service or bikes to hire at hotel.) Excellent room, sunny balcony, lovely bar terrace, good size swimming pool. Excellent VFM at weekend break rate. Top notch breakfast. No but please note that the bus to/from the station to this hotel is number 10 (ten) not number 1 (one) as on info provided
Staff helpful, room clean and very comfortable with excellent bathroom. Good swimming pool and roof terrace Great breakfast/ easy free parking
The hotel has very well appointed rooms and a very fine restaurant. The indoor pool on the top floor is a very nice place to relax. It is very handy for a visit to Palace Het Loo
Location and amenities
Pleasant surroundings and comfortable room and facilities.
Restaurant outside, breakfast, room, staff Swimming pool very small, no air conditioning in the room
lovely big spacious room, lovely smell of flowers throughout the hotel. great selection at the breakfast.grand cafe was lovely. can't say there was anything i did'nt like, but i would have prefered a double bed to two single beds.
Quiet surroundings, very friendly staff, large rooms, very clean Rather small bathroom, smoking allowed in hotel bar without non-smokers area, mini-bar prices to high, non fresh fruitjuice with breakfeast, non-attractive fitness and pool area, not enough tourist information in hotel lobby (somme maps would be appropriate), awfull carpet on the floor. The question about guest reviews is not relevant: I didn't succeed to get this information before booking
Restaurant and its staff, room size, nice location in the forest. In week days only one person on a reception serving all guest of the hotel, you're unlucky if you want roomservice and receptionist checks-in a group of visitors. Pretty old furniture and old-fasioned design. Poor sound isolation of the room.
great spot no minibar?? very odd!
Great quiet location, in park setting with good spa and restaurants. Excellent breakfast.
The rooms are bright and spacious
Good food and good service by very nice staff.
great location, excellent breakfast very small swimming pool, no free sauna facilities, heating system malfunctioning
I was attending a party in Hoenderloo and it was close by No Coffee and Tea making facilities in room. When asking about it got tea and coffee sent to room in thermosflasks. Coffee was stone cold
Many facilities, like bowling, swimmingpool, restaurant etc. Breakfast was very good as well, really enjoyed that. Nice location in the middle of the forest. Feels like being away. Rooms weren't cleaned in between. We stayed three nights and after the first night, they didn't even bother vacuuming, replacing cups etc. The only thing they did was: they made the bed...but they didn;t replace the sheets...
great stay - excellent buffet breakfast - would rush back there! Lack of parking close to room
The great care of the staff
Beautiful location. Very comfortable accommodation
Quiet, Rest If you know a room is rented, put some heating on. Room was icecold
The hotel is situated in the middle of a forrest, ideal for making walks or trips on bicycles. It's not a standard hotel but you sleep in seperate buildings, like smaller houses with terraces for example. Very friendly atmosphere!
Breakfast is good, not too much choise, just enough. Swimmingpool inside and outside (both not really big). Bar in hotel. The best thing is, that this hotel is not really a hotel, the rooms are located in seperate "houses" which are standing in the middle of the forest. If you are on the terrace, you are sitting in the forest (bunnies hopping in front of the terrace). This is more like a small vacation park. Luxury and class have faded away in this hotel. The bathroom was good sized, but it was really simple (not wat you would think of a golden tulip hotel). Even in the hotel itself (doors needed a paintjob or other updating). The room was nicely sized, but also here the walls could use some work. Housekeeping didn't mind spider webs. Could find them all over the place.
walking out of the hotel you will walk into a beautifull forest bathroom with fungus bad maintenance,as guest you will feel more welcome with your dog when there is a breakfasttable ready for you in the bar instead of hearing that you are not welcome in the normal breakfastarea(we do understand);parents with children parked them in the bar while we were having breakfast no intervention from hotelstaff.
Very good service at a good price + neighborhood of the Veluwe nature. Spacy room.
Friendly staff with modern hotel - good combination
The service in the restaurant was not very coordinated.
recently opened so spotless, nice atmosphere despite the size of the hotel, very good value for money
A bubble bath, a spacious room, quite surroundings... very attractive lobby and stylish design of the rooms... Well done! We had a problem with some construction work beginning at 07.50 am, but I expect it was a unique incident. No complains.
Excellent. Breakfast is a little expensive but extremely rich!
This is a great place to relax and get away from city life. Harderwijk is only 1 bus trip away and you can then visit the Dolfinarium You actually need a car to have the freedom of getting around
- good location, can reach the nature (i.e. forest) in a short distance (on foot or by car) - nice hotel room, clean -- good ventillation in the room, even with a ceiling fan - too warm inside the hotel (lobby, corridor, library etc) - in the room, the chairs cannot put under the table (because the legs of the chairs are too long or the table is too low) that consume a lot of space in the room.
beautiful grounds bed too soft
We liked everything. This hotel was the surprise of our trip. We didn't expect such a beautifull hotel and garden. Excellent restaurant. Everything was good.
Hotel staff was very friendly and correct. Breakfast was good quality. Rooms had everything needed but looked a little out dated.
Overall very nice hotel, great location, good facilities. Airco in room too noisy, sounded like an airplane engine. Also in such hotel that they charge you for Internet is ridicolous: 13 euros for 24hs! Its like they charge you for the use of electricity, gas and water.
The pool, water temperature could be a little warmer though. Size of room okay as the beds. Place is very suitable for meetings and conferences. Not possible to switch on the jacuzzi yourself; switches itself between the two jacuzzis. Breakfast could offer bit more variety. The bar misses a place where you can sit more comfortable, instead of the bar and the games.
Nice place for Dutch standards. Well finished rooms. Nice landscaping. Nice restaurant. Plenty of bikes to get around next day. Service during dinner was veeeeeryyyy slow
I liked the location. It is just next to the Veluwe. The staff was very friendly.
Restaurant was great, good food and very nice staff - A real treat for our two oldest (5 & 8) - Superb views from rooms and restaurant Rooms are in need of refurbishment which I think is happening shortly
Staff were proffesional, and the hotel was up to international 4-star standards.
that it' s such a nice place to stay at.
The hotel room was large and clean, with both a shower and a bath, and good bed. the room was a bit noisy (with noise coming from other rooms, not outside as it is in a quiet area)
very nice surroundings and beautiful garden, spacious room
Location, reception, breakfast and dinner area, quiet location, facilities, swimming pool Although room was very clean there was a smell comming from the bathroom
The environment was fantastic The room only had windows in the roof and not cleaned to 4 star standard
I would like to know how much it would cost for 30 guests one meal on one night fir sat sun in july 2011
Service at the bar excellent.
We liked the room, very light and a good size, hotel very clean, staff very good, food very good, waitress service, excellent choice at breakfast. the shed for the cycles was too small, full by 3 in the afternoon,, shed not secure just a roof, not good enough for this class of hotel, the cost of the wine, 27-50e per bottle,we like wine, we like to have a bottle with our evening meal but we drank tap water, hotel should at least provide a reasonable house wine.
My sister and I had arrange a special offer of half-board which was excellent value for money. Beautifully situated (conference) hotel with friendly staff, good food and plenty of separate areas to sit and relax - including the outdoor swimming pool. The staff were very friendly, but it was obvious for most days that there were not enough staff. So management could look at that.
Staff attempted to assist us at every opportunity. Restaurant meals were very high standard. Car parking very convenient The rooms feel rather "dated" and electrical wiring systems are old and of concern. WIFI was very expensive.
Easy to find location, very good and pleasent staff. Well maintained throughout. Breakfat choice and presentation was excellent. Wireless internet did not work and listed price very expensive. Sound insulation between rooms poor [TV from next room could be heard all night].
Breakfast was outstanding The website claims all rooms have a (French) balcony or terrace - they don't, this is very deceptive as 'the French balcony' is just a railing infront of the window.
Nice, clean hotel. Nice restaurant and bar. Some traffic noice.
it was excellent ! no
Nice ambiance of restaurant and bar; quality of the kitchen. Possibility to use the hotel bicycles which are very decent to make a decent cycle trip.
The breakfasts are always fantastic and the staff are always very polite and helpful
To hot to sleep, airco would have been welcom.
The hotel was clean, the staff were helpful and friendly, and the food was of a very high standard the barking dog across the road.
excellent customer service and ver polite employees. reception, restaurant, bar , etc
The staff at all times were most friendly, pleasant and helpful. Visiting the local interests especially the Kroner Muller museum and Hoge Veluwe park. Sitting on the terrace of the hotel in the evening enjoying a glass of wine and generally soaking up the ambience of this very vibrant hotel. That the locals came to eat here is recommendation in itself. Ironically the meals - I could not fault the presentation, the quality of cooking nor the wide and imaginative choice of menu but for me the portions were too large - I would have preferred a choice of portion size - I hate leaving half a meal on my plate !
The staff were friendly and welcoming, the hotel is very well placed for the nearby national park. There were too many flies in the dining room.
Celan+breakfast Otterlo is a very small country and you need a car to go somewhere i think.
Clean and comfortable room but nothing special. Excellent location for national park. Excellent buffet breakfast.
ambience waiting long time for waiter for dinner
Convenient to National Park entrance. Hotel staff picked us up at the train station (there was a bus strike at the time). Many thanks for that!!
Location - scenic and near to the National Park There is no elevator, we need to climb up the spiral staircase
Well appointed hotel with courteous and helpful staff. Restaurant food good and general environment excelllent. A short walk from the national park entrance.
The rooms were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It was clear that the hotel had been renovated recently. Very comfortable beds and linens. I was also able to access wifi from my room. The check in and check out was too long since the staff were always busy with the restaurant. Perhaps more staff can be available at the reception during check out hours.
The staff: kind, attentive, ready to serve their clients - and always with a smile. nothing at all. MY ADDRESS HAS CHANGED - I LIVE IN ZEIST NOW. And I was staying in "Kruller" with my sister.
everything except the pillows are not very comfortable.
Location of hotel in old Harderwijk. Interior looks outdated and needs refurbishment.
Very helpful and friendly staff
The staff are very friendly and could not do enough for you They said it was a double room but it was a continental double bed - two singles pushed together
Location is good and staff are friendly and helpful. Many restaurants close by. The front street is noisy at night and the room we stayed in was a little small. A bigger 'double' bed would have helped.
The location is very nice, as is the bar and the breakfast. We had a room at the top (5th or so) floor with a relatively high room temperature.
Great location for the town, quiet environment and a wide selection for breakfast!
Staff extremely helpful. Comfortable spacious room (though this was a free upgrade as we had been placed in a double room rather than the twin we had booked. Food excellent, including generous breakfast. No free car parking at the hotel. Hotel provided voucher to use public car park about 5 minutes walk away.
Convenient location. Very good breakfast. Comfortable room with good bathroom. Staff were helpful and mostly friendly. It seemed rather unusual to have to pay extra to receive bbc tv vchannels
