Every detail of equipment, decoration, background music at dinner and lunch etc. has been paid attention to. Wonderful breakfast with fresh ingredients (next time I want to try the dinner too). At the evening we enjoyed a glass of wine at the chimney. Simply wonderful and - just to mention a very good price-value relation.
Pros: Everything! It was just an amazing experience. Beyond my expectation. My favorite place in the house is the living area ( aka lobby ) I was sitting in the armchair beside the fire place enjoy my cup of tea and amazing book. The service is extraordinarily excellent. The food was delicious and beautiful setting. It was a nice getaway Christmas stay.

Pros: The host was absolutely amazing. Very attentive and kind he looked after us very much. He will definitely come back
Cons: Nothing. Everything was absolutely perfect
Pros: Owner waited us till late night to pick up from train station. Nice and quiet environment, definitely recommended.
Pros: I realised quite late that transfers from and to the train station were included and tried to send a message from the train. The host didn't get my message in time and was very apologetic. He then drove me to my Hakushu Whiskey Distillery tour which I found very kind of him! He even gave me a voucher for a free gift at the tour. All round great stay. The private onsen/bathroom is great to recharge!
Pros: Pension Field is small scale and borders the countryside creating a homely feel. Kosuke is vey helpful and friendly. And I highly recommend his Japanese breakfast. Accommodation waa vey clean and comfortable.

Pros: Breakfast is a set breakfast and very well cooked. Omelette was amazing. Everything is made of wood inside. Shuttle service is offered to the station. Private onsen is available. Twin room we got is spacious. All the staff are very nice and made us felt at home.
Cons: The bathroom was so small. It’s the type I expected at a business hotel. Staff didn’t speak very much English so communication is a bit of problem. They also were not familiar with using the credit card machine setting and could not process our MasterCard for payment and we had to pay in cash in the end. It’s not a problem for us but could be for other foreign travellers who doesn’t bring a lot of cash.
Pros: Small place with Japanese style rooms that just have a sink and a toilet, but there are 2 private rooms in their onsen, where you can shower. designed like a lodge in the Alps. Quiet at night, surrounded by trees. Staff very helpful, Izumi was a star. She organised transport to Hakushu and showed me the view from the hotel roof deck.

Pros: Great value for the money hotel. We went up with friends to visit the whisky distillery. This hotel was in the offseason but it appears that there are a lot of outdoor hiking and activities to participate during the season. The Onsen was spacious, nice, and hot. It included an outdoor section and was especially hot. Additionally, we really liked the free drinks happy hour from 9pm to 10:30pm or so. The room was simple and clean. Mostly western with the beds and area but with Japanese touches like entry way.
Cons: We are western travelers and must have missed where it stated we needed to make reservations for breakfast and dinner. The restaurant would not seat us for dinner or breakfast because we did not have reservations even though we were staying at hotel. Might need to research that if you stay here and want to eat here too.

Pros: Staff very polite. Room was large & comfortable. Nice bathroom. Free parking.
Cons: Room with Mt Fuji view also had ugly view of hotel roof.
Cons: Too big. Lots of people
Pros: The whole experience of the onsen, buffett breakfast and general relaxation was excellent.
Pros: It was quite place between the mountains, and good bus shuttle service
Pros: Omg this is heavenly. Checking in was so comfortable and easy. The staff noticed that I was tired and postponed the payment until checkout. The food is very delicious. The environment is unbelievable, with view on mount fuji. This is a must for every traveler.
Cons: Everything was perfect!!!!
Pros: The rooms, hot springs, and restaurants were all comfortable and quite spacious. Check-in and check-out is very quick and simple. There are numerous facilities and rooms available for families with small children at a good price making this a relatively affordable and recommended hotel for those traveling with children. Staying in the hotel with bicycles is great because you can go cycling and visit most of the tourist places nearby (but you might need some easy gears and/or leg strength because it is hilly!)
Cons: Access is a little difficult without renting a car as public transportation is limited in the area which is not the fault of the hotel. Taxis are available on request but are quite pricey so you should plan ahead on how you are going to travel around the area. If you are looking for a romantic stay, this might not be the hotel for you because there are many families with children staying.
Pros: Onsen is very pleasant but closes for cleaning after 10am which is not convenient.
Cons: No designated smoking area outside of entrance.
Pros: Liked the breakfast and dinner. The location was close to the snow resort we went too. The staff was outstanding and check-in/out was extremely simple. This is my fourth visit to the hotel and look forward to staying here next month again.
Cons: Probably recommend better beds and pillows.
Pros: Quite a big hotel located on the hills. Has onsen and could star gaze at night. Rooms are big with tatami seating areas. Just a little dated compared to hotels in town but still a good stay if you're driving.
Cons: Hotel is nice and quaint, good for no fuss experience.
