Friendly (much more so than the other hotels we stayed on this trip). Very high standard of cleanliness. Great setting for the excellent price, just across the road from the photogenic old town and its market and shops (including internet cafe), with large car park 50m away. Breakfast (including tasty home-made Portuguese jam) on spacious terrace overlooking orchard. Thin walls - we could hear the person next door snoring. No hotel wifi.
Simply but comfortably furnished accommodation, great for a budget break, close to Beziers/Cap d'Agde airport, and with friendly, helpful staff. Just a stroll from the historic centre, cafes etc
A nice, friendly, family run hotel in a small town close to the beach of Vias Plage. Ideally located for exploring a lovely area of France. It was nice eating breakfast on the terrace and there is ample parking closeby. It was extremely hot when we stayed and air conditioning would have been useful, however there was a fan in the room.
Friendly staff, nice terrace. Off the beaten track to a small beach town in France with an excellent beach.
Wonderful small hotel with a beautiful outdoor swimming pool, free wi-fi and free secure gated parking. Hosts speak multiple languages. Rooms at front have balcony that overlooks the pool. Good breakfast for reasonable price. Interesting towns nearby for visit with car. Day boat trips on Canal Du Midi possible nearby. Hosts very accommodating.
Clean and tidy with a nice little pool and didnt feel crowded even in mid August; although the hotel was full. The manager was friendly and service was good, our room was a family room and didnt have air con so was a bit stuffy at night in the high heat. The hotel is about 10 mins from the beach by car, it is located in central Vias. The breakfast was great value at 6 euros and had lots of everything self service easy. I would stay again on our family budget. Vias has a great shallow sloping beach ideal for little kids and paddling. No Air Con but it wasnt advertised and is fine as long as you dont have a heat wave in Mid August like we did.
good location nice pool . very limited choice for breakfast
Friednly staff,good food, comfortble atmosphere
The owners of the hotel really went out of their way to make us feel at home, I really couldn't praise the owners highly enough, in particular William, who was always on hand when we needed anything. The hotel itself is very comfortable and has a lovely pool and terrace where you can relax and take in the sun. The food in the hotel was very good in particular the breakfast was great value at 6.
the owners made us very welcome the location is good the pool area is good we had a great stay
It was easy to find. The staff and management were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a very queit area.
Exactly as I expected: clean, efficient and good value but certainly no frills. We ate in one night and the dinner was excellent and good value.
situation, friendly and clean, good value for money pillows uncomfortable
The Owners where very nice and helpfull, the rooms where clean and comfortable.Thank you for a lovely stay !!!
Very nice room, liked that we had a room overlooking the courtyard. Very convenient location for both the cathedral and the train station.
the air conditioning and quiet room
The toilet in the wardrobe -- very funny. I wonder why they didn't put it in the bathroom? Lighting everywhere was too dim. Prett difficult to find somewhere light enough in the room to read.
The breakfast at this hotel was excellent and the staff very helpful. Bedrooms were not as good as we would expect for a 3* hotel the bedroom toilets were virtually in a cupboard = very difficult for a large person. This hotel's facilities were more in line with a 1* and we were charged for garage spce which we were not told about at the time of booking.
Chic bedroom well presented in a good city centre location close to the fiesta
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Size of room. Separate wc. Double glazing. Good city view & balcony. Helpful staff. City location. Good atmosphere of a non chain hotel. Breakfast not very good. A few slices of ham and cheese and maybe boiled eggs would help at minimum cost. We went out for breakfast.
Very helpful and friendly staff Room in need of redecoration
I enjoyed being able to walk out of the hotel into the centre of the prosperous shopping and restaurant part of the city, with easy access to the bus stop I felt that the hotel could really do with decor updating and tidying to match the inherant grandure and style of the building
The staff were exceptionally friendly No tea/coffee facilities
Soap instead of shoeshine would be nice.
The staff were helpful, spoke good english and were very laid back about our arrival time. The location was easy to find and near a beautiful canal and decent pizza restaurant that was welcome after a long drive from spain. We had no complaints.
Very charming staff/owners. Attentive and warm.
The staff were lovely, very helpful and welcoming. The room was very clean and excellent value for money.
It was very easy to find and has very good access to the motorway and services. Hans was very welcoming and the town is very pretty.
Comfortable bed but room/bathroom small Need to walk across major roads (no pedestrian crosssin) to get to the Port but it took 5 mins only. You need a car to get to the beach
Rooms a little on the small side, work desk v small.
Staff very kind Not much choice of food
Although small, the room was spotlessly clean and with good facilities. We were pleased to have access to BBC World on the television. It was well worth paying a small extra sum for garage parking in the middle of the town. We thought that the price of breakfast was far too high at 13 Euros per person per day for the buffet or 8 Euros at the bar. We therefore ate breakfast in local cafes which cost us between 6 and 7 Euros for the two of us.
nice clean room. Good underground parking place. no restaurant
Great breakfast; very kind staff; clean rooms; A/C worked our room was a bit small
small hotel, friendly welcome/service - new, comfortable and quiet rooms
the room was modern and comfortable and fresh
The shower with the Grohe spray system The service was terrible. We requested a wakeup call. None came. We asked them to order a taxi, no call was made. They told us breakfast was at 6:30. No one was there and no breakfast was available.
Great price with clean refurbished rooms and a comfortable bed. Undercover public parking (with security) was available quite close to the hotel. There was a bit of noise in the street at night - ear plugs worked well.
Reasonable location close to main areas of Beziers centre. Friendly and helpful staff, but you need to be able to speak some French as no English spoken. 15 mins walk from railway station (but mainly uphill, so you need to be reasonably fit if pulling cases/bags). This is a basic hotel, with no lift, but it is cheap. If you don't want to pay much, and don't expect too much, then this hotel is fine. Breakfast lacked imagination, if not quantity. Probably worth having breakfast outside the hotel at one of the local cafes.
The hotel's roof terrace, the lovely decoration and the friendly staff. The bed was rather uncomfortable.
Staff extremely helpful and very pleasant, luckily we understand french. Very bohemian style hotel, and in very good condition. We were a bit worried when we arrived! Shower brill and they had a portable air conditioner which was well received as it was very hot. Our room had 2 double beds in it for us and our 2 daughters - perfect. Could of had a bit of ham and cheese for breakfast with our bread.
Decor of hotel and helpful friendly staff. Also excellent location.
Handily located between the gare routiere and the gare SNCF. Very friendly and obliging staff. A bit tatty and run down. I wouldn't recommend it for stays of more 1 or 2 nights.
It was chic and very French. We had a pretty little balcony with views over the city rooftops. (And why should the staff speak anything but French? It added to the authenticity). We were extremely disappointed that the much advertised roof terrace was kept locked the whole time we were there (only one night- but we'd hoped for breakfast there, or at least a little look around). Very disappointingly, breakfast was served in a hot, stuffy, windowless little room on high stools and tiny tables which don't really work for small children.
The hotel was in an ideal location in the city centre, the staff were incredibly helpful and the hotel was very comfortable - the city was nice for the weekend, but not as anticipated, however the hotel lived up to all expectations. Nothing.
Parking unavailable and somewhat expensive in town parking
None found As above
it was diffficult to find it!!!
Location,Middle of nowhere and well out from city centre made having a car essential otherwise you were restricted to eating and drinking in the hotel across the road which was on the pricey side,If the need arises in the future I would definately look for alternete accomodation.
To be fair , we only stopped for a quick overnight break from driving and this hotel is only good for this , the room is so small and the bathroom is the smallest i've ever seen , you have a shower and the curtain just horribly wraps around you , we paid the same money and stayed in bigger rooms on our journey so unfortunately wont be going to a premiere classe again.Absolutely ideal for back packers etc.
Breakfast good as usual if a little pricey One of the lights didn't work, or a plug socket and there was panel hanging loose in the bathroom.
En-suite in our room was poorly maintained. Water in toilet cistern ran continually when flushed and there was a strong 'drains' smell in the cubicle. The room was not 'non smoking' as requested although I appreciate that this is not guaranteed.
Good Center for our requirements Having used these hotels all over france they offer an exelent service for travelers who just want a good nights sleep without fuss
simplicity, cleanliness as for the value for money
cheap, free open parking small room with very small window, automatic check in on the machine
location was good not very easy to spot the sign of the hotel
Very central to town. Staff friendly-phoned for taxi to airport. Breakfasts good-lots of coffee. Also near bus station.
Friendly and helpful owner, clean room, comfy bed, powerful shower, well priced, nice breakfast.
an overnight stop before i joined my tour the next day. the lady (?owner) on reception when i arrived was very helpful and we managed a conversation in english/french . the room was basic but clean and had a comfortable bed. did not have breakfast but looked good @€6.50. the bathroom in my room was a little on the small size, the hand basin was in an awkward position and small which made brushing teeth very difficult, first time i have brushed teeth in shower before!
very warm reception, very polite and competent clerk. simple standard of rooms, but very nice and welcoming.
The location of this hotel was perfect for walking anywhere in Beziers. There were some really great restaurants that were an easy 5-10 minute walk. It is also a great area for shopping (Galleries Lafayette was literally across the street). The family that runs the hotel is really nice and extremely helpful with booking bicycles, making restaurant suggestions, etc. The breakfast was excellent for the money. We got much more offered for breakfast than what we are used to in French hotels. There was some noise between the rooms (nothing unbearable though). There was hardly any traffic noise from outside, which was wonderful!
In all honesty, we found virtually nothing to like, apart from the fact that our room was really clean and the bed ok. Breakfast was good. We were really disappointed. The hotel is run down and needs investment. Its location was fair for walking to the centre and relatively easy to find. The parking was safe, but awkward. It consisted or knocked through cellar/basements. A larger car (than a Mondeo) would have been almost impossible to park as we were requested. The dining room and menu were not worth considering for dinner, but the breakfast was good. Realistically this is a 'workman's hotel' and for that client group it is ok, but not for tourists, as we were. The lack of a lift made a second floor room difficult for us.
We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the rail station (a very short walk). Fine for a one-night stay but very basic. Also no lift and spiral staircase makes baggage handling difficult
Location is good for the Rail Station. Cramped, poor decor and gloomy. I'd forgotten that hotels like this still existed in France. It was like going back 30 years!
Very pleasant staff who coped admirably with our very poor French. Good continetal breakfast if a little expensive by our standards. The evening meal tasty and very good value for money. Bathroom was rather cramped which did not do service to an otherwise spacious and comfortable room.
the convenience of being close to the station and then close to town. No fuss room but it was adequate. A lift would have been handy
The firndly welcome of the staff. The buffet breakfast was good and there was a selection of snacks and drinks available. It was situated across the road from the railway station and the hotel was soundproof with air conditioning.
Hotel Terminus is located very close to the train station which is handy. The staff were very friendly and the room was fairly comfortable/good value. The 'saloon' style bathroom door (not sure if all rooms are the same) did not afford much privacy!
Close to railway station; well-functioning air condition in the room Bathroom is tiny. I had difficulties where to put my legs while sitting on the toilet. Ok, I'm 1,93 m, but nevertheless...
very little needs much modernisation and larger beds.
Good sized room over looking street, located just opposite the railway station. Comfortable bed, flat screen TV, good breakfast, good shower. First impression from the outside of the hotel was not very good when we were there.
thin walls, noisy.
being within easy walking distance of the town, and having front rooms (which we didn't have) overlooking the lovely park Poorly furnished. Needs updating. However, very clean and we enjoyed using the bicycles on loan. We were ab le to change to a slightly better, but more expensive room.
location the staff were unhelpful not friendly they made us have breakfast and charged me £6 more than the quoted price, will not visit hotel again
convenient for railway, city, and park.. very friendly and helpful staff. good breakfast pleasant room. nothing to dislike.
The breakfast was good, home made cake and yoghurt. The bath/shower room was very tiny.
Nice hotel in a good location. We stayed for 3 nights in early November 2010 with our 1 year old daughter. The hotel provided a cot at a charge of €8 per night as advertised. The room was fairly basic, clean with a small bathroom with a good shower. Our room was on the second floor with a small balcony, and other rooms on our floor had a very large balcony which would be nice in the summer. We did'nt pay for breakfast as it appeared that you did not get much for your €7 per person. The location is very good for the town and train station, and unlike many other hotels nearby is not next to a busy road. Would certainly stay here again having seen the location of other hotels nearby. Plenty to see in Beziers and the surrounding region.
Lovely hotel, very clean room very comfortable, good location close to city centre, rail and bus links etc. very friendly helpful staff. Noisy guests next door on the last night of our stay.
Very convenient and attractive location in centre of the town. Small relaxed hotel, ideal for a short stay.
Very pleasant staff , but avoid the "Gourmet 2 Restaurant and go to their other Restaurant which serrves salads , pizzas and great deserts.
staff very helpful-spoke English.Room comfortable, decent size. Food excellent.
Superb quality restaurant and the staff are very helpful and obliging. Although the bathrooms are quite modern, the rooms and public areas could do with being updated, to justify the rates.
Bright sunny room; charming pool area (although pool was not heated (September))
Functional cleanliness quiet comfortable Breakfast very poor
Friendly familly run Hotel, excellent Restaurant good size rooms well equiped. An overall pleasing experience.
The friendliness of the staff was great and the food was fantastic
Food fabulous room comfortable staff very friendly Would like coffee facilitys
Comfortable, small, family run hotel. Good basic room and bathroom. Beautiful terrace and pool. Friendly and helpful staff. Near to places we wished to visit. Breakfasts could have been better - for example always the same fruit salad and processed cheese slices offered. The evening meal was expensive for what we received, though well cooked and beautifully presented.
Friendly staff, nice swimming pool, good food.
none almost everything
I had read rather bad reviews about this hotel on this site so was actually pleasantly suprised when we arrived. Although the reception area and stairwells were 'elderly' in decor the breakfast room and bedroom seemed newly decorated. The owner was very friendly and spoke very good English. We stayed in a family room which was pretty small and unfortunately on the 3rd floor with no lift. Breakfast was okf or the price but there weren't any cereal bowls so we had to eat it out of cups! I feel bad for dissing the place because the proprietor was so nice and friendly but I would not recommend it for families with young children. No proper parking outside and the garage was down a very narrow street so difficult to get to.
None - this establishment lacks many of the basic ameneties of even a budget hotel. See above: you should consider very carefully if you want to continue to provide a service for this establishment - hotel it aint!
nothing--i got no rest because of bed bugs but had nowhere else to go late at night and no one was at the desk to complain to. I want my money back because I did not sleep and felt stuck. There were bed bugs crawling on my things and on the bed after I had already been there a few hours. It looked okay when I first walked in, but the bugs started crawling later on. I stayed awake all night fending off the bugs.
nothing as I did not stay for my second night and was refused a refund and I did pay cash on my arrival. i had room 9, only window was on small courtyard at back where it was used as a smoking area so I had to close my window and in the hot weather it was unbearable.no paper in communal toilets. Very noisy. was refused a refund on my second night.
