The facility is very pleasant and near north Zealand sites-Louisiana, Kronborg and Fredericksborg.are only minutes away. A very comprehensive Karen Blixen museum is next door. Excellent breakfast buffet. Rooms are quiet and attractively decorated. Not only do they provide wi-fi, but furnish the computer in the room. Very attractive courtyard. The facility is undergoing extensive remodeling and access may be cumersome. There is one elevator in one corner of the facility and its a long way to the opposite corner.
I liked beautifule view to sea and nice historical location near Karen Blixen Musem. Most of the all I liked the price. Now in summer 2010 hotel is under renovation. That causes some uncomfortness if you are extremely demanding traveller. Normal adaptive person it should not be a major issue.
We enjoyed our stay at Rungstedgaard ... No
Good location-beach front, huge lot, 20-30 min. beach driving to Copenhagen, 20 min. beach driving to Helsingor & North Zealand area where has gorgeous castles and other tourist attractions. High speed internet, computer set in each room, very generous services on cold & beverages, copy machines and printers at several places. Free parking. Much potential after finishing renovation. Hot foods in breakfast. Good price for overall. Extened my staying to 4 nights. Long way to parking & to rooms. Needs check-in & out parking at least. Stairs shouldn't be in the ways for suitcase carriage. Not enough signs and no English sings. Building is classic, but on the contrary the most of furnitures are too light & contemporary.
The rooms were spacious and bed good, however this is an old university dorm room style - no elevators. Shower best pressure in any hotel I've ever stayed at. must know: Catch the train from the airport to Rungstegard Kryst about €20 - taxi will cost €100. From the train station walk 20m to traffic light and turn right, then walk 800m to traffic lights and turn right, hotel is 400m on the right. Staff were not there to meet me at 10pm and was pitch black with no instructions.
Dining room fully booked. Should be possible for hotel guests to have dinner.
The staff were exellent, the food was very good and the hotel grounds are a pleasure to walk in. We looked at the swimming pool and the gym and they looked good and clean. The bed was so hard I could hardly walk in the morning.
very clean and comfortable
Very nice ambient, very kind staff, nice location, good restaurant, good spa
food great, location really close to all the sights in north zealand. rooms designed in modern scandic style, good facilities. service was poor on day 1 due to a mix up on the restaurant reservation which cause a long delay in getting seating, and then the service was rushed/patchy, however on the 2nd night everything was great and the service was impeccible, so I think this was just a one-off error.
The hotel has an idyllic woodland setting which adds to the relaxation. The spa facilities were excellent and well maintained throughout
Strange and bad behevior from the staff.
Relaxed atmosphere and excellent food.
Relaxed atmosphere. Quite surrondings. Verey good zwimmingand bathrooms quolitie no remarks
Very nice location near the castle, the park and the lake. Easy access to Copenhagen by car or train. Old style is good, but establishment need an upgrade.
Nothing, room was old and small, television was broken, no wi-fi connection working!!!!! Nothing, room was old and small, television was broken, no wi-fi connection working!!!!!
Nothing I was given a room in a building opposite the hotel and not in the main buiklding. The room was small and not cleaned properly (dirt under the bed and mattress) The wifi connection was very weak
The old and somewhat decadent building and its garden
nearness to gorgeous gardens the room was somehow narrow
Everything was great. They helped me get whatever I needed. Plus they had drinks and snacks available at all times. We met some great couples and families there. The view of the ocean is perfect. If you stay in the separate house the kitchen and bathroom floors are heated when it's brisk out. It's really close to Hamlets Castle and it is a must see. The main dining room, living room and breakfast nook have a great view of the ocean. I only stayed in one other bed and breakfast so I don't know what the standard is but this one you have to pay for breakfast and because my past experience I thought it was included. It is quite a ways to both train stations but I think we were the only ones there without a car. It still would have been nice to get a ride to the train station as a courtesy but the taxi doesn't take long and u can walk but it's more then 10 minutes also it is a long ways to restaurants in the off season because the closest one is closed. If you want a view of the ocean from your bedroom you have to reserve it and the separate house is stuck in the back.
We got a wonderful welcome by the staff, and they were quick to help us. The Hostel is situated in a wonderful area. We can warmly recommend this place. Unfortunately some previous guests left some dishes in the public kitchen, so we didn't enjoy our cooking.
Breakfast You have to make your own bed! Rooms are smelly and full of cobwebs. It is dirty! There is 1 shower and 1 toilet for 32 men! The shower is full of hair!!There are only bunk-beds. No TV in the rooms. It´s like your in the army! It really is a disgrace!!!
Great staff, delicious breakfast, room met our needs & was reasonable in price, wonderful location in small town close to palace grouonds for walking. Fun to have other kids around and meet people who actually live in Denmark! Would recommend adding dark liner to room curtains
I loved the wonderful staff, the beautiful surroundings and the delicious breakfast! I'd recommend it to everybody and I'm definitely going back next year. Closed in the reception from 12-15 :(
