Nice service, great location 5 minutes walk from the train station, hot tea as a welcome drink- highly recommended!
Everything was OK
As I was the only guest, they allowed me to choose between two rooms. The second and third staff members (Day 2 and 3, Margarita and someone else) were lovely and friendly. Amazing location, couldn't be more central, but also very quiet. Excellent internet.
The hotel is unbelievably hot in all areas, and the reception at check-in smelled hot and sweaty. Only one part of one window opens - a small area at the top. To get to it I had to climb on a chair, then the window-sill. They didn't have change at check-in, and were not very friendly about asking me to go and find change elsewhere. Breakfast was not on offer over the holiday period, but I wasn't informed of that on booking. The first morning they brought me coffee and a rather stale lemon roll in plastic from the supermarket. In answer to Where is a good place to eat? I was told, I don't know anywhere, just buy from the supermarket and you can use my microwave. The room had a very old strange packet of food or spices under the curtain, greasy and unrecogniseable, and there was dust around the shower. In general I mostly enjoyed my stay, but I think the price is high for all these minor problems. Also, I left one day early, and they didn't refund my money, which I understand completely, but I don't like that they informed Booking.com that they had refunded that one day.
