The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. Meals were very nice as well. Highly recommended as a base for exploring the wonderful surroundings or just to wind down reading a book in their unique garden.

With a stay at Posada y Restaurante Real Torre Berrueza in Espinosa de los Monteros, you'll be a 2-minute walk from Ethnographic Museum Cuatro Rios Pasiegos and 9 minutes by foot from Velasco Tower.
Pros: Friendly and efficient greeting to a wonderful old building in an interesting and lively town. Our room was charming with a view across the garden to the restaurant. Clean, well equiped bathroon and a large, comfortable bed. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant and one of the best breakfasts we've ever had the following morning. A lovely place to stay and the highlight of a wonderful week in Northern Spain. Very highly recommended.
Pros: Fantastic hospitality at the Posada Real Torre Berrueza from the moment we arrived to when we departed. Beautiful room with excellent facilities. We ate both nights at the attached restaurant which served the most amazing food. Breakfast the following morning was equally as good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the area and hope some day to return.
Pros: This place is a real gem. The room is lovely and their restaurant is great ,food is fantastic and the staff welcoming.
Pros: Incredible 12th century building. Modern contemporary room, lovely staff and delicious food.
Cons: Arrived in a heatwave, a Dan would have been welcome.
Cons: No Wifi
Pros: The hotel is in the Michelin Guide and the food was exceptional! We had both dinner and breakfast. The hosts are delightful and the hotel is a stunning 12th century building. Well worth a visit, it’s a very special place
Pros: It is a perfect rural accomodation.
Pros: The owners were exceptionally kind and helped us with retrieving our passports which we had left at our previous hotel in Zaragoza. The food and wine was topnotch and locally sourced. The location feels a little strange on first encounter as in the town - so quite urban - but actually the town was delightful and very friendly with lots of cafes and restaurants in the square around the medieval church. We slept very well indeed.
Cons: Our only thing would be that we couldn't take our dog in to the restaurant for breakfast or dinner - but frankly this is pretty much the norm throughout Spain and not down to the owners who obviously love dogs.
Pros: Great charm (do not be put off by the area)
Cons: Charm, character the host

Pros: Staff were welcoming. Room was big and clean really nice with original features and lots of character. Breakfast was nice with orangd juice and home made toast. Small aelection of varied options to please all tastes.
Cons: To be honest the only thing I didn't like is that the place was noisy and we could not sleep. This can not be helped as floor is original wooden floor and not sound proof. Walls are thin and noise travels.
Pros: Wonderful former castle full of antiques and collectibles set off the beaten track. Hospitality of Manuel was wonderful - we even received chocolates for our anniversary. Bedroom was amazing.
Cons: Nothing - it was fab
