The ease of access to the shopping centres in the city. Should have been able to watch each movie I bought on their pay system several times until the cut of time.
unfortunatley I cannot think of anything good to say about this hotel except that it was there and it was open when I arrived. :-( The staff were unresponsive and unhelpful, The room was grubby and beds not made properly (top sheet and cover where flat but underneath it was a mess), I feel that I should have stayed at the station hotel which was £10 cheaper and only a 3 minute walk away (Station hotel looked very nice)
Location. easy to find Carpet was filty - could use a hoover around the edge and the whole thing could do with a steam clean. Urine stain under the loo which really smelt. Ran out of beans & eggs at breakfast and had to wait for 15 minutes for more.... when the lady waiting with me asked after 10 minutes if there were more coming she was told rudely "have patience." Hotel might be busy but there is no need to be rude to your guests. Stayed at the Premier Inn the next night for same price and it was far superior! (I don't normally leave negative comments either but really disheartened by this experience)
No parking facilities at the hotel had to pay extra for parking in a multi- storey car park
good staff , accomadative to your requests
Large room,en suite, clean, comfortable Absolute rubbish internet which costs 11.99 for 24 hours, certainly not use this hotel again untill this problem is sorted.
There was'nt any rooms for smokers
Location - just 5 mins walk from the main train station Location to train station, clean and helpful/friendly staff
the staff the plumbing makes noise every time someone flushes the toilet
Clean, helpful staff, central location close to all amenities. No on site secure parking.
Quiet location friendly staff
Friendliness of the staff. The disabled parking were a little bit too far away from reception. I would prefer a detachable shower head in the bathroom.
Used for a family wedding near by, Hotel in a central position buffett breakfast excellent
Had two twin rooms, one was a little on the small side the other was fine. It took a very long time to check in, either the system was very poor or the receptionist did not know what he was doing.
English breakfast, swimming pool The double Bed was less comfortable than expected
the use of the pool and gym was very good and the bar and restaurant area were very nice. Bathrooms were a little old fashioned and breakfast should be included in the standard price.
Relaxing and staff friendliness Room service on the pricey side.
Location The bathroom hadn't been cleaned, there were no towels in the bathroom,
Easy access to internet. Too expensive for what it offers.
Good price for B&B as at a wedding there. Rooms are in need of refirbishment. Drinks are expensive.
The breakfast was good The room was tired and scruffy and far too hot. We got very little sleep. There was a lot of noise from drunk guests coming in at 3am.
Reception ver smart but room very basic. Bathroom was mouldy & smelled!
We got back to our room around 12.30 am and we waited outside the hotel around 10 min because no body was there to open the hotel door fo us. We were lucky because one of the maintenance guys saw us and opend the door!! clealiness,
Very Handy Parking can be improved , more car spaces
Friendly and helpful reception and night porter. No complaints with the staff I came into contact with The shower didn't work properly. The toilet wouldn't flush. The linen wasn't ironed properly because the hotel's industrial iron apparently wasn't working. I had to wait a while for someone to let me into the hotel at 2:30am in the morniing as there is no intercom serice or key entry. I couldn't book an alarm call for later that morning as nobody answered the supposed 24 hour reception line. I could have stayed at a far superior hotel for around 5 pounds extra
Nothing, the hotel was awful. The staff were rude, the rooms were horrible, they smelt, the walls were stained the noice from out side gave you a headache. We had 3 different room in one night, the first had a toilet which didn't flush, the second smelt, sink didn't empty and and 3 was just as bad. I have written a complaint to the hotel.
Nothing #it was Very dirty, noisy and smelly
excellent staff, friendly and helpfull very poor bathroom, run down and not very clean. old television.
Budget accomodation with reasonable facilities and helpful staff Car parking was a joke and WIFI is only free for the first hour. If you need the internet for work you might aswell stop at a more expensive hotel with free WIFI
the hotel rooms were quite tatty and my sheet on the bed had a whole in it
so central for everything in town we wre here for a theatre break. n/a
Convenient location. Close to railway and bus terminal. Next to St Stephens shopping mall Nobody on reception desk on returning at 2130. No bell. Had to ask the barman to find a reception staff member.
The staff were very friendly and helpfull. The prices of the drinks at the bar are very expensive. There was dried blood on the duvet from obviously a previous person. Room Number 115
Clean, modern, good facilities, not too pricey no, although it would have been nice to have free parking!
No resturaunt in hotel
Reception and bar staff really friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfy clean, tidy and in excellent repair No complaints
Friendly staff, who promptly provided a new room when we found our allocated room had no heating. Relaxed but professional, always quick to return to the desk when we buzzed as they were working in the back office. Breakfast selection left something to be desired (very limited range of hot food) and the coffee (from a machine) was poor.
No mirror near a plug for use of hair dryers etc!
The location of the hotel is fantastic. No iron in the room, as most hotels provide these days
Breakfast was poor Location on an industrial estate Handy for city
This is a fairly new hotel. Very nice place to stay. Room was well equipped and very clean. Usd restaurant and that was very enjoyable, with good menu and very good quality/presentation. Staff were all very polite and helpful.
the swimming pool and the large beautiful room and badroom
service from staff when booking taxi room service etc.
Excellent stay, very good food, piping hot and prompt service. Hotel staff friendly and helpful.
Leisure facilities I was put in disabled room which seemed ok until i was having a shave in the bathroom and struggled with the sink being too low.
Convenient location and easy parking. N/A
Not having to drive home
Professional and efficient reception, spacious room en suite, comfortable bed, good room temperature regulation (not too hot), friendly staff, excellent pool and facilities.
well equipped room, location On a very warm evening, the room was hot and the window not enough to cool it. a fan might be useful in the height of summer.
it was the best of the three hotels we stayed at
decor a bit tired. Bath dirty under taps.repairs badly patched
hard to find , hotel staff didn't know area so couldn't help. Shower in room did not work.
Friendly staff. Free wifi. Best part was seeing the results of the refurbishment Trying to find a member of staff after 11pm
My room had everything that I needed and was spacious and warm. The bar was a comfortable area to sit in and have a snack The lift was a bit bumpy!
staff were very friendly. lack of wireless in rooms.
Attended a family wedding heating was poor, lifts a bit rough ride, but I dont like lift even when smooth
The entire staff theparking the breakfeasts
The vast improvement in the last 9 months of interior and attitude, need to sort Carpets and lifts asap Advised Reception of following observations:- If putting tea&Coffee in Bedrooms ensure restocked daily; Cleaner should not be cleaning Brasserie area when Breakfast being served.
The newly refurbished rooms are very comfortable and elegant. The restaurant has a good varied menu, is reasonably (but not cheap) priced with friendly attentive helpful staff. Still waiting for the reception area to be refurbished.
The barman and chef went out of their way to produce a lovely simple meal that was not on the menu. Many thanks for that. The rooms are lovely and I hope you can keep the price low! Amazing how you have transformed it.
Booking room and reception, tried their best to provide a twin room Maybe more twin and less double rooms would be useful - you can push beds together, but you can't halve a double bed
We have known this hotel for many years, the new owners have to be congratulated on the refurbishment and organisation. We enjoyed our stay, it was excellent value for money.
Hotel just refurbished to a very high stanard. The breakfast although very good, (as we did not request breakfast at the time of booking) was expensive at £9.50p
Friendly staff major refurbishment in progress at long last....food limited but good In process of refurbishment, breakfast average for price, this hotel may price itself out of the market following update.
hotel design and comfort found no negative points
Good Location to Hospital Excellent refurbished room Construction site
Nice decor in recently renovated rooms - tv good and liked the bath taps with temperature gauge built in so no need to try to get mixer at correct temperature Scaffolding around windows - obviously building work and renovations taking place - No chair of any description in the room - advised not delivered when ordered but badly needed one following a full days gardening!!! Also the pipes were particularly noisy - could hear other taps being turned on from adjoining bedrooms and even people going to the toilet!! Televisions sound was evident aswell - shutting of doors very loud - all in all not a quiet hotel but comfy
It is in a good location for the town centre. For an older hotel it was clean and the bed was comfortable. It had tea making facilities which is always useful the lift is tiny and slow. the breakfast was expensive and the TV's in the two rooms I booked did not work. The facilites are a little dated and if don't like town centre locations then this is not for you
The stay was fine but the rooms need to be updated to include freeview boxes. The days of standard 4 terestrial channels is long gone and for the sake of £30 spent on each room it would improve the stay no end
Easy check-in, friendly helpful staff. Room and en-suite were very clean with all facilities, eg tea/coffee, hair dryer, television. Restaurant prices were rather expensive, especially breakfast. The hotel is centrally situated so there are many other places to eat at which are considerably cheaper, eg Weatherspoons.
I booke through you a room for a smoker only to find out the room was non smoking no email from you saying this before our visit, the shower and heated bath rail did not work and the water wasnt that hot for a bath. Three times i have used this Hotel but i will not be useing in the future i can get cheaper elsewher in fact could have saved £60.00 at another local Hotel.
that it was clean
location, 24 hour reception price of breakfast, no fridge, only 3 chanels on tv
Excellent location very close to railway station, shops. The ideal location for my trip, could ask for better. If I needed to stay over night in Grimsby again I would use hotel again for the same reasons. The lifts and room ideal for me but was a little small if I had brought my disabled partner in her wheelchair. Not shore if hotel had a disabled friendly room but will inquire next time before booking if needed to. The carpet on the lift walls was a little loud, rather had seen plan walls, would of made the lifts look bigger.
The staff were very pleasant. The bath taps did not work , so you could not bath . The shower was either cold or dangerously hot so that was unusable. The hotel was worn and faded and seemed to lack investment.
Convenient. Clean. Electrical facilities ready for replacement (kettle and TV) however these were not the reason we chose the hotel so it was not a huge inconvenience
this was not a social stay, i was working in Grimsby. The evening meal menue was very varied and of a high standard
The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very comfortable. The restaurant was delightful looking on to the marina. The evening meals were good and the breakfasts excellent.
The warm welcome at Reception on arrival and when checking out. The slightly complicated breakfast menu with 2 sections. The first being uncooked and the second cooked. It didn't make it clear whether you could mix both menus or just select from one menu.
Always convenient for the city centre and predictable in quality.Enjoy the proximity to the Marina and view from the restaurant. Not told about the £5 charge for parking.
The hotel is very central to town. The breakfast was poorly organised and when we attended at 10.00 am although the restaurant contained only 20 or so customers, there were no tables available and then no hot food available. We were not offered tea and coffee and when I asked for the hot drinks, we then had to ask for milk twice before this was brought. A truly terrible breakfast experience which could very easily have been much better.
staff very friendly with good local knowledge clubs shops staff at breakfast putting fingers inside of clean glasses in order to carry 4 or 5 at a time when resetting tables
Nice hotel, staff very attentive.
Close emenities, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast Room was cold, had to complain and in the end was given an electric heater
the breakfast was superb
As described pretty much - the pool in particular. Very helful bar staff when we ate evening meal. No mention of the fact that the restaurnt was undergoing major refurbishment and restaurant facilities were in the bar.
The hoast was very freindly & helpful, also very nowledgeable on the local area. The food was localy sourced & very tasty. The location was perfectly for our walking of the Way of The Vikings for that particular leg.
Very friendly staff made it feel like a family home rather than a guest house For a cheap and short stay I have no complaints
Great welcome. Fantastic breakfasts. Superb cleanliness. None
Everything about the guest house was lovely the photos on the internet do not do the rooms justice they are of a much higher quality than portrayed. Ann and Maurice are a lovely couple who welcome you warmly when you arrive. thanks for a lovely stay. will book again if in the area.
The total package was excellent and value for money
The staff and facilities were excellent!! Would definitely reccomend this hotel to anyone! Fantastic value for money!
Seaview position, close to all amenities None
Choice of breakfast was good Not enough breakfast.1 sausage and 1 egg should have been 2 of each, had to askfor more coffee, and no extra toast was offered.it doesnt cost much to put a bit extra on considering we paid £30.00 each for bed and breakfast.plus the shower was too small.plus when I googled it I asked for licenced b+b but there was no bar so not happy.
The Hotel was spotlesly clean, The owners were very friendly and helpful,The room was comfortable with a great seaview Breakfast was well cooked plentiful and very well presented.
Very well presented and good friendly help from staff. None.
Staff were friendly, facilities clean and pleasant, beds comfortable and location was idea for centre of Hull. no parking - meter out front from 0830 to 1830 max 2hrs or all day 100yds way £8.50 per day or £5.00 at weekends
The room was excellent, a good size and comfortable bed. Huge tv with only 4 channels
Very friendly staff. Clean room and excellent breakfast served by friendly member of staff. Very clean tablecloth at breakfast. No really enjoyed my stay.
The shower wasn't great, the water pressure was low and the water temperature kept changing - freezing one minute roasting the next
staff were helpful and very friendly, it had free wifi; the food from the restaurant was good and obtained at short notice. Room was cold during the afternoon, and has weird notices suggesting its previous role as a lodging house for actors. I really wasnt intending to damage or steal the room furnishings! the rooms had been recently refurbished, but not the basic structure (Central heating, some bathroom fittings).
Staff friendly and food good Arrived at 2.30 pm on a cold November day no heating or hot water on, at request it was switched on. rooms are big and not easy to heat
Nice big room, comfy bed. 1) The crumbling plaster/cornice in our room. 2) The lack of a reading light on one side of the bed. The problem was that there was not even a socket there. Neither of these problems should exist even in the most basic of hotels. Fix the plaster and fit a socket & lamp, and forget the bottled water and sweeties!
Large comfortable room, good english breakfast some of the bathhroom fittings need updating
Bed was really comfortable. Brilliant food and service. Shower temp wasn't consistent.
Warm and cosy room lovely staff very comfortable stay Had to leave main reception and walk 3 doors down the street to our room, not a massive problem but weather very cold and icy at the time.
Clean rooms, well decorated and furnished.
Well specified room, friendly flexible service, good breakfast, comfortable bed.
the room we booked was gorgeous, really tidy and clean, tea and coffee available, staff were really friendly and helpful, hotel is a stones throw away from cleethorpes train station and from the beach, so was perfect for mine and my friends stay
Very welcoming staff, very trusting for b and b. Room had good decor and facilities expected of a hotel. Great value for money.
location food and staff.
Absolutely beautiful, friendly staff and amazing breakfast.
quiet, comfortable with option of relaxing treatments i.e hot stone therapy, reflexology (although did'nt have time to try these). Nice breakfast.
The rooms were clean & comfortable. I loved the decor.
Lovely room very clean ,very friendly family made us feel very much at home plus cooked a lovely breakfast ,made our stay there very nice would go again . None
the room was newly refurbished.the room was spacious and had plenty of hanging space,it was quiet and very comfortable.
I felt at home and was made very welcome, nothing was to much trouble for the family owned business, When I went out for the day I would come back to a made bed and had a good supply of coffee and tea.[the hot chocolate was my favourite],the breakfast was very good, and when I needed help and advice getting around in a town I didnt know, they went out of their way to help me find my way around.I would stay again."thank you Tudor Terrace Guest House".
Very friendly and comfortable
Friendly and helpful staff, good food and facilities
friendly staff good breakfast comfortable stay
Perfect stay, friendly service, clean rooms with attention to details. In addition a perfect service at the breakfast. I would prefer this hotel anyway if I would travel to Cleethorpes or Grimsby again. Many thanks. There was nothing which I had to complain
There was a very friendly welcome. Excellent standard of accommodation at the price and a big breakfast to send me on my way.
The owners were very welcoming, friendly and efficient. We felt at home instantly on arrival and tghis feeling lasted throughout our stay. My room at the front had a window seat and view of the sea and this geat house is just yards from the Prom. No bad points, only good ones.
Friendly and easy going No
very trusting and helpful.....
The breakfast is excellent but the service is not as efficient as it used to be. I don't feel the extra charge is justified as against other B&Bs in the area at which we have also stayed.
Attention to detail, a tea pot and jar of coffee, perfume in the bathroom
None No luxury found not a 4star
The way they upgraded us, free of charge, to the best room as it was available and how they let us bring our very small dog, We slept in miss the breakfast (as we always do) and they very kindly left us to sleep! The B+B was more like a lovely old world hotel...just lovely Not a thing
It is a small B&B. Good breakfast. Stituated not far from the center. Very good beds. There was no wifi available at all, as mentionned in the Booking.com-informatiom! Payment by creditcard not possible. No 4 star-accommodation!
Very helpful and a good breakfast. Good sleep and my dog was welcome and enjoyed his stay None
Good position. Comfortable room. Poor quality towels. Shower too hot, couldn't regulate it.
The greeting was cheery and friendly and we were shown to our room straight away..It was great to have a jar of coffe, a jar of hot chocolate and proper teabags with a teapot on the welcome tray. The complimentary toiletries were excellent. Breakfast was tasty, freshly cooked and served promptly.
Location - easy reaching distance of Hull but away from city and very close to river/bridge so great for breath of fresh air before working day. Breakfast served very cheerfully in pleasant surroundings. Spacious room and bathroom. All clean A bit noisy (traffic) at the front of the b&b but used to it by 2nd night. No internet access.
Warm welcome, nothing too much trouble and recommendations of where to eat. None
No complaints what so ever. We were contacted by phone whilst travelling up to Hull which we found reassuring that room was available.Staff excellent. Room excellent, clean, quiet, bed very comfortable, very impressed. Many Thanks. No bad points
