I am always impressed with the breakfast buffet in German hotels. The food is excellent and well presented. I already spoke to the manager about the night receptionist.
Clean room with lot of space, refurbished and quiet A bit too far from the city centre of Freiberg
We were warmly welcomed in the hotel. It is a 15 minute walk from the town centre, so it is nice to have a stroll along nice residential street of Freiberg. The hotel is spacious, has a car park, comfortable rooms and very good breakfast. The hotel is entirely adapted to the needs of disabled, which is something to admire.
very calm place no thing to claim
Attractive location, building and interiors clean and spacious, comfortable.
Nice and quiet place, nice people, very good food They do not speak english
Price cold, no heating despite only 50 F outside. Only one blanked. No breakfast prepared on Sunday and finally no wireless internet despite being advertised. I payed for 2 nights but left next morning
The room was nice, facilities were adequate, but the best part was the price! Breakfast was quite nice. Although we arrived at the designated time of check-in, there wasn't a living soul around and the phone was not answered. The staff arrived only about half a hour later. nobody spoke english!!! So communication was very difficult.
Very nice Staff, very, very clean and cosy hotel with family character
The hotel was very well situated on a nice and quiet street, quite near the center ot the city. Most importantly the price was very good. The rooms were also very well heated, which was important, considering the cold in December. The bathroom was pretty and clean. Very helpfull staff, who answered all our questions.
Walking distance to the Meissen porcelain manufacturing. We also liked the cleanliness. The room was spacious, comfortable and agreat value for the money. The parking was a challenge.
Only a moderate self-service breakfast was alright. We had aan extremely noisy doubleroom, that was situated very close to and directly at a main street where traffic raced through all night long. Windows could not be closed because of the heat in the room. When we asked the manager for a more quiet room she did not seem to take our demand seriously and responded in an annoyed and routine way that there were no other rooms available.
Very welcoming, comfortable and clean. Good choice at breakfast and great value for money all round. Also ate here one night and meals were delcious and the beer is well priced too. Just a 10 minute walk into the centre of Meissen. Hotel is tucked away but also by a busy road so sometimes noisy but nothing major.
Brilliant location - just across the street of Meissen porcelain manufacture, shop and museum. No air conditioning in this terribly hot summer (above 35 degrees Centigrade) makes real problem. To get your car parked you should arrive 1st o 2nd this day - only two slots are convenient.
Nice room. Good breakfast. Located close to Meissen porcelain factory. Good food in restaurant. Easy to find. Parking available on site but very tight.
there was quite a lot of space for the price. for 83 euro we had 2 separate bedrooms a bath and kitchen. even more than I expected. they have lovely cooing doves and an aviary with many colorful exotic birds and a lovely outdoor patio upon which to set and watch the birds.
Hotel staff is very kindly, friendly and helpfull. Room is also clean and silent. Breakfast is delicious too. This Hotel is very nice and I want to stay here again. There is no problem in this Hotel, but if we can use credit card, then it is better.
Friendly staff, location which is just walking distance to city center smoking room was given as an option during booking but the hotel was non-smoking
Basic but comfortable room and bath. Good breakfast. Easy walk to town. Nice area. Not always easy to find someone on site (but could call).
The rooms are spectacular with antique furnishings. The restaurant Le Bambou, behind the hotel is amazing. I didn't mind it, but there really isn't staff onsite in the evening.
The room was nicely decorated with real paintings. The thick walls kept the summer heat outside. The "bier garten" with a great view on the city below. The breakfastbuffet was o.k. Mind that the hotel is on top of a hill; walking to the city centre and back is not very easy.
Very hospitable staff; great ambience; easy access to Castle, Meissen Porcelaine Factory, shops and restaurants.
We stayed for two nights, and found the hotel convenient. The hotel room is very attractive, but not very functional. Consider: one chair for two occupants. A small table with two chairs would fit nicely beneath the windows. Most comparable hotels in other towns have such furnishings.
Wonderful location, excellent food with outstanding breakfast, comfortable, very clean, friendly, exceedingly good value at our discounted rate. One of the best small hotels I've ever visited.
Very central, comfortable, and good staff and restaurant. The Domplatz was having work done, and was in a mess. However, the hotel was coping very well with posisble parking problems etc and we did not mind. But the pleasantness of the location is affected at the moment, although the convenience is not. The sooner they get that square ginished to better - it will be lovely.
absolutely charming, quaint, comfortable. very acommodating staff. excellent small dining room and one of the best complimentary breakfasts I've ever had! nothing
Very convenient and nice hotel and hotel staff
Spotlessly clean; comfortable rooms; friendly, helpful staff and very reasonable price. Location in the town is excellent and parking is free. Nothing; the hotel met or exceeded our expectations in every regard.
It had everything you would want from a hotel. It was a lovely location and it had good facilities. No complaints. The only thing it did not have was tea/coffee facilites which some people may miss.
Breakfast was very uninspiring. No fresh bread.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The facilities were excellent. The rooms were extremely clean and the food served was very good. No
The staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast excellent, a real highlight with an exeptionally broad variety of choices.
Quiet, clean, great breakfast Name of hotel changed the day before our stay. All outdoor signs were changed with no mention of previous name. Very frustrating and difficult to locate hotel
Location ,breakfast . Slow service in restaurant
Hotel is directly on the banks of the river Elbe. Beautiful site overlooking the old town of Meissen. Enchanting views both day and night. Hotel grounds are well-kept and enjoyable. Close to the Meissen porcelain factory. Free parking in a spacious area at the hotel. We stayed here in 1999 and enjoyed our time there. Was glad to see that it was available on the Booking.com website this year. Nothing. Hotel fully met our requirements.
Amazing atmosphere and grounds. The staff was super friendly and the food in the restaurant was wonderful!
Nice location, interesting building history. Excellent cheery service in restaurant. About 20 minutes drive from centre of Dresden
It's clean and nice, may serve as a temporary point to discover Sachsen Pretty far away from main points of interest
The hotel is very nice and has friendly personnel. Everything was quiet and relaxing, perfect for a transit or a short stay. The small town is very beautiful.
Very interestin especialy for families with two children. Big rooms. People very friendly.good brekfast
We booked a family room and a double, and the rooms shared a private entrance. We were able to leave the outer door locked and keep the room doors open, which was perfect for our group. The rooms were both exceptionally clean and comfortable, as were the bathrooms. Breakfast was wonderful, including an omelette station manned by the lady at the front desk. The breakfast room is beautiful! The hotel is ideally located for a trip to Dresden if you have car, which we did. We loved the atmosphere of the hotel, which is an old manor home with several buildings. The main building used to be the barn. Very charming! The restaurant looked wonderful, though we didn't have the chance to eat there. Highly recommended! Our double room was a smoking room, though we asked for non-smoking and none were available. Not a big deal as it was clean and well aired-out, but the smoke was definitely there.
The staff is very kind and the atmosphere is very familiar. Good breakfast
Everything- close to the motorway but in an attractive villagey setting, good restaurant, effiecient staff. Nope. last minute booking for an overnight stay which worked perfectly.
The hotel is just in front of Meissen station with less than minute walk. Staffs are friendly and kind. The amount of hot water seems to be limited. When I took bath after my partner, hot water was not provided. (Quater hour later without pouring water, the hot water came back.)
really nice stuff not speaking a word in english, the best breakfast, garage, elevator
decent location - close to the city, attractions, very quiete
I liked the convenient location very near the old city center and the parking places. There aren't parking places for all the rooms, but there are on the street for free. The breakfest was good and enough.
Ok with car but you would bust a hump on foot, req a sherpa up the hill ,but it would be worth it as the town was a stunning medievel gem.
clean, good size rooms, extremely helpful staff, restaurant next door was good quality no bar, no tea or coffee facilities in room, no BBC world service/cnn or the like on tv
Nice and quiet, very good breakfast
Very nice hotel at a fair cost. we didn't think the climbng from the city was too bad and liked the city of Meissen very much.
Location just out of town was perfect. Adjacent restaurant with good choice of meals and friendly staff. Hotel receptionist extremely helpful.
Breakfast not at additional cost Far out of the centre but taxi's were cheap
Pleasant hotel, friendly staff. Located somewhat further from the center than I expected, about 5 minutes by car.
