Pros: The owner was very friendly and adapted to our wishes like a late arrival and a very early breakfast. Did not only talk French but also German. We booked the largest room and it was just as it was expected to be. Too bad we just not had too much time, if possible we try to book again, The village and the hotel itself just looked very awesome too. Btw, WiFi was working also correctly, for the ones that want to know.
Maison d'Hôtes Les Feuilles d'Or - Eichhoffen - Building

9.7 Excellent (64 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The size of the room is perfect for 2 people. The room has very beautiful and local decoration with the flowers from their garden. Everything is clean. Our room is surrounded by the vineyard. We had very nice view when we opened the eyes in the morning. The breakfast is just perfect, not only the taste but the presentation of the food! The host was very nice and helpful. Guide us to visit their pool and big garden. Just wonderful! Give us some suggestions about the cave and the wine, we found some very good Pinot noir! We are definitely satisfied with the stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The B&B is located at the edge of town and is directly bordered by vineyards. It is a wonderful, quiet, beautiful location. The breakfast was extremely good, with eggs and tomatoes from the owners own garden, and an excellent selection of cheeses. There was lots of space, including gorgeous common rooms, and it could not have been cleaner or more comfortable. The owners are friendly and very communicative, offering help in choosing and reserving restaurants, things to do, etc. They also own a private lake (about 3 minutes by car), with chickens, ducks, geese, vegetables, a picnic area, and more. It's also very quiet and cool in the summer.
Cons: The house was warm but comfortable with an outside temperature of 30°. During a heat wave, it might be a bit too warm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly host,Renata is a pleasure. Great place. Excellent location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely stay at this bed and breakfast. The hosts did everything to make our stay as good as possible. The area is incredibly beautiful and the vineyards are located on rows just outside the window. The breakfast was really good. The small villages nearby offered several good restaurants. It’s easy to put on runningshoes and have a morning run or walk between the wineyards. Our two children aged 8 and 10 appreciated the cats living there and the private lake. The rooms were large and the temperature pleasant despite the heat outside. The decor was authentic, but a nice change to the decor minimalism you often see in the big hotels. We’ll give it 5 out of 5 stars and would definitely recommend this place to other families with children.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Spacious room with a precious terrace and a very big bathroom Staff was super friendly and really welcoming, they gave us many suggestions regarding restaurants, activities and places to visit The SPA is not that big but it is Great for some relax Parking free and easy to reach
Cons: We would only have changed the lighting of the bathroom: it is automatic, and it means kind of a waste of energy during the day and far too strong during the night. All the rest was perfect and above expectations though

Pros: Beautiful hotel right in the heart of picturesque Barr - 5 minutes walk from the vineyard covered hills surrounding the village. The lobby, restaurant and bar were all very stylish, as was the room (which was a bit small, given the price range of the hotel). Don't miss the tiny but wonderful spa in the basement, would definitely recommend!

Pros: Super quiet, lovely town with fewer tourists and lots of locals. The hotel staff were incredible. Maybe my favorite stay ever!

Pros: The owners were a lovely, friendly and pleasant couple. The lady owner spoke English. Room was of an excellent size with a shower. Décor of the room was extremely good. Bed was very comfortable. The property was isolated in a river valley. It had a large garden with flowers, which was good for photographing the local butterflies and birds. There was a river at the bottom of the garden which also attracted birds. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. Andlau (the nearest village) had several good restaurants . 2km from the property there was an excellent Auberge which served local dishes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The proprietor went out of her way to make us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble for her. The breakfast provided was excellent with locally sourced food items. The room, whilst not huge, was perfectly adequate for us. The location and view was out of this world.

If you have a vehicle, the hotel is in a great location where you can access easily to the amazing villages of Alsace on the wine route. It is great to have parking possibility on the backyard of the hotel. The room that we had was very clean & cosy, full with sunshine. Egele family is very warm & welcoming; thanks to them, we felt like we are at home.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Upstairs bedroom separate from owner area. Nice outlook over vineyards and nearby houses. Comfortable bed. Good sized room. Small but workable ensuite. Hospitable hosts Claudine and Bernard. Onsite parking at rear. Pleasant back area. Good continental breakfast included and served in characterful room. Relaxing place to return to after a day's sightseeing. Good restaurants nearby, particularly Hotel Restaurant Emmebuckel in Itterswiller.
Cons: Larger ensuite would have added to comfort but the overall this was not a significant detraction from a good experience.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable hotel in a charming village. The owner was incredibly helpful in corresponding before our visit and also during our stay. She clearly takes a lot of pride in the hotel. Dinner at the recommended restaurant Pressoir de Bachus, a few doors away, was amazing. Would definitely recommend both the hotel and restaurant.
Cons: WiFi was intermittent during our stay
7.5 Good
Pros: The village is beautiful, hotel neat, the owners extremely friendly and helpful, room spacey and clean, nearby restaurant good, parking on the street free and sufficient. Extra 8 E/person for breakfast was a well spent money.
Cons: No AC in the room (35deg.C outside temperature), no fridge, windows facing the street with considerate traffic noise late at night and very early in the morning. Lack of AC compensated by the provided powerful fan but the noise from the street was a big minus of our room. Recommend to bring earplugs!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is situated in the midst of world-renowned vineyards and is ideal for walking and wine-tasting. The 'Winzenberg' is largely run by family members and you receive personal attention. Pros: Spacious apartment pleasant owners.
Cons: The town clock strikes every half hour.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is not just living, it is a real experience. You live in an 18th-century house that looks more like a museum. An incredibly friendly host will offer breakfast in his kitchen, it is nice to talk with him and learn new things about Alsace. The house is old - you should not expect much from it. To stop for a day or two - a very interesting option.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a traditional Alsacien building with a watermill inside which has been refurbished with a lot of taste. There is a nice interior yard where it is possible to sit. The owners were very nice and customer-oriented. The rooms were clean and spacious and equipped with a flatscreen TV and a big walk-in shower. However, after seeing the pictures, I expected the decor of the room to be a bit more special. My room was ok but fairly standard in terms of design. For breakfast, there were a lot of fresh salty and sweet choices and it tasted well.
Cons: There are just a few small things that could be improved: Wifi connection is pretty volatile and does not always allow you to log in. And the coffee for breakfast is on grain basis (which doesn't taste as good as proper beans). And last bit not least, it is worth mentioning that the insulation of the rooms is not great - you can hear all noises from your neighbours which is not always so great...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable stay. Excellent conversion of old mill. Great location with a range of local restaurants within walking distance.Ample safe parking on site
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A former mill turned into an amazingly nice and well-run family hotel in the equally enjoyable village of Andlau. Cons: Nothing a all.

Pros: The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. From the Oriental rugs to the canopy bed the fine touches in this hotel are exquisite. Mr. Zink Himself is an extraordinarily wonderful man. He picked me up from the rail station when I realized there was no Uber and drove me back the next day. What a fantastic stay!
Cons: Nothing the Inn is perfect.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel communicated effectively to tell me the after-hours code. They have plenty of parking. Rooms were very clean. The view out our room was amazing. Restaurant was hopping when we got there despite the kitchen being closed for at least 30 minutes. I did ask about getting food and was initially told no, but she offered me salad and cheese (which was what I wanted anyhow) they made that after-hours and brought it up to the room free of charge. Excellent service all around. We were pleased with our stay here. Thick old walls made our stay very quiet.
Cons: No elevator here, so that may be an issue for some guests, it was fine for us.

Domaine du Haras de Saint Pierre - Saint-Pierre - Building
18
8.8 Excellent (56 reviews)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, spacious apartment. The owner was waiting to let us in as soon as we got there. The apartment in general was very well equipped.
Cons: Slight communication snafus, nobody's fault in particular. When I booked a pony ride for our daughter, I didn't realize it was a simple group walking tour led by the parents. I would have probably asked about a riding lesson if I had known, as our daughter found it somewhat slow for her level of experience. That said, it seemed fairly well organized and was conveniently just outside our door. In retrospect, I just realize I should have asked for more details, even though it was all arranged via text message.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: We enjoyed a lot our stay: good and convenient house for a family stay, good location to explore Alsace !
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property is very spacious, all new, with a very well equipped kitchen and two spacious bedrooms. There is a very big terrace with a table where you can eat out, looking at the stable
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Though we have brought some cooking tools and spices for seasoning but everythings are already there !
Cons: There were many sparrows’ droppings outside of windows...
4.6 Okay
Pros: The apartment itself is gorgeous. Good space, really nicely decorated, everything you would need to relax, and a large well equipped kitchen. And there is an enormous balcony to enjoy.
Cons: There are two huge downsides to this place: the noise and the heat. As a single father, my two daughters (11 and 9) and I arrived in late July. It had been about 20'c during the day, yet all night long, none of us could sleep, because it was so hot in the rooms. You HAD to have the windows open... but that caused the second problem. The apartment is dead on the main road. You hear (and feel) everything driving past throughout the night. Even worse, the garbage/recycling collection happened at 4.15am on the Monday morning. And by the time we'd all got back to sleep again, it came again, for the other side of the road at 4.40am. As for the horse riding, I asked on Monday morning if my daughters could do some riding. "Not today," was the only response I got. Despite all the photos online, they never got to ride the horses, and were really upset. We booked to stay here for 3 days, we left after our first night, and were relieved to be leaving. God knows what this place would be like when the temperatures are even higher. One other warning: the apartment does warn you that either you clean the apartment yourself when you check-out, or they'll charge you 70-Euros to do it. That's pretty steep. Bring ear plugs. Bring your own desk fans. And bring fly spray, as there are a never ending stream of flies in the apartment (their electric fly killer didn't seem to make any difference). And for other single parents: be aware that many of France's child-friendly locations are closed on Mondays (we didn't know this)... so check opening times before trying to make any plans.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice and authentic place in the beautiful Mittelbergheim. The beds are very comfortable.
Cons: English is almost not spoken in the hotel. No eggs for breakfast and only one kind of cheese and one kind of ham, which for 10 euros is a bit poor. The only person who spoke English was not very kind in general. One small soap for two, no shampoo or shower gel. Towels quite used.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, a kitchenette, good internet
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very atmospheric building, quirky room and bathroom. The restaurant was fabulous.
Cons: My only criticism was that the bedroom lights were too dim to read by.
