Pros: This is a homestay in very interesting.countryside. Lovely family - good wholesome food including salads and vegetables. Ruslin helped organise mountain walks and visits to to the lake and petroglyphs.
Cons: Our room was a long way from the toilet. Room comfort e.g. no hooks or storage and pillows hard.
Pros: It was the perfect place in Nurota! So welcoming and a very nice family. It felt like a second home! Make sure to contact Ruslan before your trip. He is a great guide and can arrange to see the petroglyphes on the way there and other great things during your stay! It is heart opening. Thank you so much!
Pros: Very friendly family stay, very good dinner and breakfast!
Cons: Ruslan self seemed to be a bit busy the one night we stayed there but his father was very hepful explaining many things (in Russian).
Pros: It was a really great stay. The whole family is extremely nice, the home cooked food excellent. Ruslan organized our pick up from the train station and back and all our excursions perfectly. He knows the area very well and showed us wonderful places in the steppe, the desert and the local mountains. We would like to come back and do longer hikes in the mountains, this time our stay was to short. Ruslan knows English, French and Russian fluently so you always will get an answer to your questions. The shared toilets and shower are super clean. The hot banja like shower is a dream. Special thanks to Ruslans father who told us interesting stories about the area now and in the past and helped us to improve our basic Russian knowledge. Спасибо большое и всего хорошего!!!
Pros: I loved Nurata and Ruslan's guesthouse. The place is absolutely wonderful with a nice garden and great dining area. The family is very lovley and Ruslan's mum cooks the best meals I had in Uzbekistan. Ruslan offers a wide variety of inexpensive tours to explore the area, which has a lot to offer (see his website). So, if you want a change from the historic sights and want to get away from all the tourists, this is the place to go.
Pros: The staff were excellent and the hospitality was great If you need a retreat from the tourist venues this is the place to come relax and unwind highly recommended The food was excellent home cooked traditional food
Pros: Ruslan's Guesthouse is much more than a just a guesthouse. He offers a full range of affordable tours and support for the independent tourist. The breakfast is great, and you can buy lunch and dinner for a cheap fee (and get very large meals). The place is wonderful (quiet, scenic and well-designed). The central courtyard is a great place to sit in relax. Ruslan was very helpful with his advice for, and help with, transportation to and from Nurata.
Cons: No complaints. This was my only stay in Uzbekistan where everything was perfect.
Pros: Guesthouse Ruslan was one of the highlights of my trip to Uzbekistan. You won't regret going off the beaten track to get to this rural town. The dinner and breakfast were the best meals I had on my trip. Ruslan and his family are very welcoming. I also went on 2 tours with Ruslan. They were great. Ruslan has great English and very knowledgeable.
Pros: Ruslan is a cultivated person and can arrange for you tailored tours in the nearby.
Cons: Ruslan is a cultivated person and can arrange for you tailored tours in the nearby.
Pros: Our stay with Ruslan and his family was truly memorable, they are such kind people and we were able to discover the surrounding area in a way that we never could have on our own. The food was absolutely delicious also. I would recommend Ruslan’s guesthouse and also his tours, we had a fantastic time.
