10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything!
Cons: Not applicable
5.8 Okay
Pros: Very comfortable. Lovely house.
Cons: The fact that less than half an hour after leaving the property I was billed a further £37 because my TEMPORARY hair colour apparently wouldn’t wash out of the bed linen. Funny that as it always washes out of mine. What sort of wash do they give their bed linen if it’s in and out of the washing machine within 30 minutes?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Liked everything about new hall farm. Our hosts were lovely and so welcoming. Arrived about 5 and were shown to our room and then served coffee and home made cake. Just like being at home. Breakfast was plentiful and a wide variety to choose from. We will definitely come back here and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending to others.

Pros: The helpful and friendly family owners, who are a great source of advice for local walks, transport, and any information related to your stay. The property is beautifully decorated and very clean, although we were staying Band B, we could also use the very comfortable living room, with large screen t.v, and sit in the lovely courtyard garden. Public transport nearby makes this a great choice for those who choose the green transport option.
Cons: The nearby road can be rather busy with large wagons at times, this did not dissuade us from visiting nearby Tarpoley on foot, nor would it stop us staying here again.

Pros: I don't really want to comment as I really wish to keep this place a romantic secret, but that would be unfair. The setting, surrounds, and house were all gorgeous. We were here for only a quick stop-over but quickly decided that we would both come back and spend more time here as the room (or should I say suite) was luxurious, breakfast was an absolute treat, (double yolk free range eggs), fresh fruit and juices. 8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very accommodating staff, helpful and friendly. Agreed to change our booking at the last minute although they did not need to. Lovely grounds.
Cons: Breakfast was good but there could perhaps have been a greater selection of fresh fruit.
6.8 Good
Pros: Went for a quiet rest!!!!! Picked for location, which was as expected.
Cons: Room 18 was picked apparently as we had 'special needs'!!! As we are required by law we had told them that 'while asleep' we would both be unable to hear a fire alarm. BEFORE we arrived! We have always in almost 30 years had very good responses from hotels etc. - these varied very excellent to good, but they always appreciated knowing this fact. Room 18 has very large kitchen extractor fans outside the windows. During our visit the weather was very hot & humid. The noise was loud even with the windows shut. I explained my particular difficulty because of a specific type of hearing loss to the receptionist, she ensured me that the fans went off during the evening & there was no need for us to change rooms as I had requested on seeing the room. Stupidly I believed her! At 11.15pm the fans were still going & I went down to reception again. At this point I was told that we could not move as we had 'special needs' that required us to be in that room!! The room was not set up for 'special needs' - no bath hand rail, in fact it was difficult to reach even the 'bubbled' part of the bath floor as the shower screen even covered the standard hand rail on the side of the bath! The hotel actually states it is not suitable for wheelchair users! So why 'special needs' for us. Only that we were known to be DEAF & wouldn't hear the noise like other guests. So ignorant. So the fans went off at 11.30 & came back on at 7am!!! Wonder which room we would have had if we hadn't told them. Picture of fans available - the window sill (over 3ft high) was the emergency exit, then negotiate the small passage between wall & fan system!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel grounds are lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything

Pros: The food was great and the maitre D' both engaging and funny. Breakfast was also great here.
Cons: For £180 BnB we expected a lot from Willington Hall. At arrival we waited 10 minutes to check in, they hadn't informed us when we booked that there would be a "After Wedding Party" which happened outside our room on the patio, lasted until 12, with guests staggering to bed at 1-15am very drunk. The same girl that checked us in, served us at the bar, well asked for our order and then disappeared and never came back. Food was great, the Maitre D' was great fun, unfortunately the same girl then checked us out, never asked about our stay and zero formalities. Poor

Pros: It was different from other B&B's. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfy and we had enough for a few cups of tea. The bedding was immaculate and bed comfy. Although we aren't vegetarians we did have sufficient to eat. Both Niall and Mungo were very hospitable only wanting to make sure our stay was good. Very down to earth. Happy to recommend to anyone.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good room, great host. Homemade bread for breakfast, comfy bed.intresting place to stay.
Cons: Little difficult to locate
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed and sofa. The banana pancakes with homemade jam were simple but absolutely delicious. Host Mungo was prompt and helpful in addressing any queries or requests. Beautiful house packed with character. Looking at other reviews I see some people have commented on the slightly wild and unconventional appearance of the house and grounds. It's true that if you're used to corporate hotels chains then you may be a little disoriented at first but talk to Mungo and it's clear from his passion that this is a family home and a labour of love with much thought behind it.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Breakfast was juice tea/coffee, cooked choice from menu. The food was tasty and well cooked. Options of cereal, fruit, yoghurt etc. were not offered. They were closing for refurbishment from the following week so maybe less choice because of that.

Pros: Excellent porridge and cooked breakfast.
Cons: Preferred tea in a pot rather than make your own.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good homely food was served in the restaurant. The staff were very attentive.
Cons: Sadly the WIFI had failed and was not reconnected until the last day of my stay. Payments could only be made using cash. The room itself was rather sad with points as listed below: 1. Aging bed with little support 2. Threadbare towels 3. Not as clean as I would expect. Hair lying around the bathroom area. Squashed butterfly behind a door. 4. Furniture has seen better days.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location, very friendly helpful staff, chef great apparently too early for the new menu as a new chef has just arrived.

Cons: Noise from other rooms.
6.3 Good
Pros: It had a lovely bathroom
Cons: The key would not work and I could not get into the reception at 11.00pm to enable me to get it sorted. I had to telephone someone to let me into the room. They then let me in the room and could not provide me with another one. The ceiling light was hanging from a wire which was a fire risk. I had to ask for it to be fixed. The room smelt damp and the beds (Twin) were basic and hard. There was no shower Gel in the bathroom this was broken, the sink plug was broken and a rubber plug was provided instead. TV remote did not work.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole experience was fantastic stayed many times before and always have had great service . Food superb.
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff were very nice, we enjoyed the food, breakfast was lovely, location was excellent and our bed was very big and comfortable. Room was large and nicely decorated even though it needed a bit of sprucing up.
Cons: Down points were the poor quality of the travel cot provided, we'd have brought one if we'd known and ended up putting the baby in bed with us. The mattress was thin and hard but what was worse is that they didn't have a bottom sheet that fit so had wrapped a flat sheet around the mattress which of course was loose. Anyone with a new baby knows that a tightly fitted sheet is so important and i wasn't happy to let my baby sleep in the cot. Other poor point was that we were above the kitchen. It was really really loud, and a bit smelly. I ended up going downstairs to ask them to turn the fans off around 10pm, which to be fair they did and it was much better. The room itself had been beautiful at some point but was a bit old and shabby and needed a spruce up, the bathroom especially. Breakfast was charged separately to the room and I'm unsure really if all together it was worth what we paid but it was one of the better value hotels in the area for the date we needed to stay.
