Friendly staff, leisure facilities and value for money. None.
good location, right next to the big park and close to the city center; very nice golf course only 5 minutes by car from the hotel; different running (walking) tracks in the park not only for beginners, but also for advanced runners breakfast was limited for 4stars hotel
Very good owner , near the spa eurotherme and also near the village centre with possibilities to eat typical Austrian food- can recommend typical Austrian pub called Hametner Gasthof just about 7 minutes by walk nearby in the vicinity.
Good location, clean rooms, nice atmosphere Price/quality bad - hotel way to expensive for quality offered. Rooms completely outdated (classic style doesn't mean not modernizing for 30 years!), old bathrooms and facilities
Excellent location in center of old city, Steyr. The hotel is located in an historic building with tasefully decorated rooms. The establishment radiates quality and care. The breakfast is pure pleasure, and we truly enjoyed eating in Mader's restaurant.
Greatest breakfast - not so much for quantity as for quality: great choice of cheese. And the room was at least 80 sqm, really, larger than the average flat in our city! Too many stairs and a little bit too many corridors, but that's the way it goes in medieval architecture...
Wonderful atmosphere, beautiful room
the front lady didn't tell us to bring room key. The door of the hotel was closed when we came back from Opera. The interphone of the hotel did not work well and we had to wait for 30 minutes until the hotel man came and open the door.
Everything. It's position was excellent, the staff could not have been friendlier, our rooms were well well above the hotels star rating and the free use of the hotel garage meant there was no need to look for parking. All in all it was probably the best hotel of its kind I have ever stayed in, and the next time I am within 100 kilometers I will divert my journey to use it again. Interestingly the town of Styer itself is well worth the visit. Certain guides describe it as an industrial town. Coming from England we expect industrial towns to be dirty, smelly, smokey places full of morons. Nothing could be further from the truth with Styer or its people. The Old Town centre is late medevil, the buildings wonderful and the character of the town is just great. All this and a trully marvelous hotel really makes the trip worthwhile. Not a single thing.
The hotel is very good situated in the center of Steyr. The rooms are clean and cosy, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. In general a excellent, historic hotel!
Great Location. Good attentive staff. Located right in the center of the altstadt.
Excellent location, kind and helpfull staff, good restaurant
very nice room, excellent restaurant and very good breakfast room's windows were to downtown which was very loud on a friday night. (partyzone); the hotel offers no spa or wellness feature at all. So I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic journey.
It was in the center of the city. The access to the hotel and the lack of dining facilities.
The location is excellent. The old city centre is is really near. The room was nice. The hotel looks good from the street but from inside the entrance and corridors look a bit like an old shopping mall or so. However, the room we stayed in was nice and in line with the external apearance of the hotel. According to the information given, there is a parking place 'at the site' but it is not actually true. The hotel's own parking place is under a bridge some hundreds of meters away. The parking place was dark and dirty but since it is in Austria, I don't think it is dangerous in any way. Our stay was okay but the price was perhaps too high for this stay, saying this based on our numerous experiences in many other places in the world.
The rooms were very nice & comfortable The entrance was confusing and difficult to unload luggage. Parking is not by the hotel
Very friendly and attentive staff. A very good resturaunt with a great view. I didn't think it was quite up to being a 4 star hotel. Some of the hotel needed to be refreashed a little. That said, I would still stay there again.
The location is excellent, as it overlooks the confluence of the two rivers and has a wonderful view over both and the charming town of Steyr. It is therefore essential to book a room with a river view. The hotel has a small but fine sauna, hamman, jacuzzi spa ideal. The breakfast is good. But the best thing was the excellent staff in reception who enquired about availability of tickets for an opera performance of the Steyr festival and even called to my mobile while i was already out of the hotel to inform me of a change of venue so that I could go straight there to buy the tickets. It was an extra touch of service which we very much appreciated.
Stunning views from the breakfast room, fine restaurant. Poor selection at breakfast for 4 stars and the price given. No eggs, no bacon, etc. Cheap sliced sausages, only one type of (cheap) ham. Very limited free parking.
clean, near to city-centre, friendly und flexible staff got room near parking space although many other rooms were available
Easy to go to center town, and easy to park nearby. Also Hotel admission possible until 11:00PM
Pet friendly. Optimally positioned for a stop on the highway on my trip. Flexibility in check-in.
Easy access, close to A1 Autobahn. Nice village. Good breakfast.
It is easy to find it. Staff is polite. Rooms are clean and warm. There is not dining restaurant.
The clean was good. The breakfast it was too poor, and the bed was too small.
easy to get there
the coffee at breakfast was not very tasty
good value for money.
If you are travelling by car the position is good cause it's at main crossroad. There's free parking outside the hotel. Breakfast is quite good and various, though the brakfast room is opened on the parking and there were many bees. The bed was small and very uncomfortable. The room was small and very hot! Without air conditioning system! The rooms are on the parking side, on the east, so early in the morning the temperature in the room was unbearable! And we could not open the window for the noises in the parking area: 1 night some persons were drinking and talking just outside the breakfast room (on the parking side) and we couldn't sleep for the noise! (the reception closes at 11.00 pm so we couldn't complain...). But the worst was that everytime a guest opened the door to the breakfast room, the door of our room banged for the air movement in the corridor!! please note that obviously our door was properly closed! We could not sleep for the heat, the bed, the noises from the parking and the door banging from the 6.30 am. I won't suggest this hotel to anyone.
The Hotel was well situated for the pupose that I needed the accomodation and the staff where super!! Helpfull and informative No
Efficient staff, large room. Nice location for a stop on a long car journey. The coffee machine provided more coffee than what fitted in the plastic cup.
Quite hotel and quite guests counryside type environment Excellent approach to wellness cleanliness Happy staff Excellent breakfast choices That I could not stay longer...
very professional staff and the rooms grounds are beautiful
Beautiful location in a park with wellness facilities. Food is absolutely lovely and breakfast choice was vast. A luxury hotel at half price. I was amazed!
It was clean and breakfast Was included but nothing special. Also a somewhAt noisy location on the corner. There was no possibility of dinner after arriving late and the nearest gasthaus, contrary to what we were told, is a car drive away
Excellent location. Modern, comfortable room with first class facilities.
The staff was friendly and very helpful. It was clean and comfortable.
It was a pleasant stay in a quite village.I liked a sincere hospitality of Ilse and her husband. Very good breakfast, park, spa. I reccomend this hotel to everybody. It would be great if the hotel is open not only in summer time but during the whole year.
Simple pension in quiet part of the town. Close to the center and the thermal spa.Sleeping room and bathroom fine. Good matresses. Breakfast good. Good price.
Good location with not a long distance to Linz, mountains (Alps), many marked bike and walking roads, also very nice and helpful owner.
polite and helpful staff. good location off the autoroute. nice and quiet for sleeping.
Located in a quiet town but still had everything you need within walking distance. Lots of cafe's, shops and even a grocery store if your travelling on a budget. A very quiet and peacful area. Only downfall was it was an extra bus ride to and from the train station.
we needed a stop over hotel on route from the netherlands to croatia and take a break in the long 2 day drive. it was perfect. extreamly clean and homey. we had a family apt. and another double room next door for our teen kids. close walk to the thermals and nice local restaurant. kind of like staying at a friends' parent's home that have a pool in the back yard. the wifi system was unreliable, dropped frequently. the breakfast was very basic using average products, but certainly sufficient.
It was clean and quiet, the staff is friendly, good breakfast, nice little city.
Very friendly and helpful, excellent internet connection, good value for money
