We had a pleasant spacious room with views over the Mosel river. Restaurant food was very good, staff were very efficient and helpful.
We stayed at this hotel as a quick overnight on our way to Dunkirk to catch the ferry and it was ideally suited to our purposes: not far off the Autobahn and had a restaurant where the food was reasonably priced and of a reasonable standard. The breakfast was also of a good standard We had a room at the back of the hotel so it was very quite but had we had a room on the river front, the noise of the goods trains on the other side of the river most certainly would have been disturbing
Good size room. Clean. Food excellent. Superb location overlooking river mosel
Nice, good value for money, good breakfast
Very friendly. good accomodation and food. Good views. Free Wifi and Parking. Awkward stairs for my wife who has visual field problems- a second handrail would greatly improve things.
A warm and friendly welcome which was combined with an excellent description about the area, maps were supplied with good recommendations for restaurants within walking distance. The accomodation was spacious, clean and comfortable, The service and food was excellent at breakfast, with a fresh and varied selection. No
Very friendly owner; great breakfast; very comfortable bed - everything was great! It would be nice if they accepted credit cards.
The friendliness of the host; cleanliness of the accommodations; roominess of the accommodations; location.
Absolutely everything. nothing
Helpful owner, roomy apartment, good location. We found explorlng the Eifel and the Hunstrucke countryside, between the Moselle and the Rhine, very interesting
friendly host, nice breakfast, spacious room absolutely not.
The view from our room and the breakfast room was wonderful, as was the room itself and the breakfast. Our hostess was helpful in suggesting activities and places to visit.
wonderful service, location and food
The staff were very Kind. We have two children and they were very happy to help
The cleanliness and comfort of the rooms combined with high service from the hotel staff and good food and drinks. Early breakfasts. The W-lan quality varied a lot from room to room and over the time. A strong fire wall prevented my SonicWALL Global VPN connection (a safe 128-bit coded communication) to my desk top in Sweden.
Excellent large room with all facilities required, very clean and excellent food available in the bar area. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Restaurant attached serving good food. Free ample parking. Quiet. The restaurant has two sitting areas: smoking and somewhat less smoking.
wireless Internet, the arrival at the night is possible It is not enough of a soap in the holders of a toilet and shower
Friendliness and welcome from staff
I could not fault this hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We found the food to be excellent value for money. The only downside to this hotel is that they still allow smoking in the bar area.
Convenience and closeness to the centre of Andernach
the comfort and decor plus helpfulness of the owner the restaurant was not their strong point. The food was very average although breakfast was good.
view from the rooms over the village square interior of rooms did not feel 'old' as expected from the description
the owners were really nice and helpful with suggestions for our onward travel, the breakfast was good too. They even drove us up the hill to a local restaurant for dinner, and gave us a map for the short walk back to the hotel, brilliant no
We had an awesome room.. it was like a little apartment. The staff was nice and the town this hotel is located in is a "true" little german village.
Very convenient to the RB bahn, less than 15 min walk.I enjoyed the breakfast, overall good value, just need to add some soundproofing material to the windows. My single room was at the corner of a very noisy cafe/pub--lots's of racket til 1:00am!
Everything. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The owner and the rest of the staff is very very nice. The breakfast was very good, with different kind of breads, so our uncle enjoyed a lot the food there. Not really... price good... room nice and clean... customers happy :)
Everything was very good None
The history of the building, the ambiance, the helpfulness of the host and he was the only person to see us off! NO
- Breakfast - Kind people - big rooms - Noisy location due to adjecent railway track - Old/smelly rooms
The building itself is more than 1000 years old (yes, one millennium!). The castle nearby was built 100 years later. You can expect the old building charm and some magic of that place. The owner is a very friendly person, always smiling and helpful. His family has been living in this place for generations. Train tracks go very close to the hotel so trains may wake you up at night. But it's not as bad as expected.
If you don't mind the typical old smell of the full carpet at the entree of the hostel and the trains noise in your room during the night, then you will be good served by an attentive and friendly butler. Pay attention: no credit cards allowed.
kind hotel staff & excellent breadfast
Location, friendliness and price The pension is quite old, the house smells like old wood, and breakfast is not fantastic
It is really an old building and very charming. The staff was very helpful. The hotel is located at the railway but that makes no big problems.
This hotel is a wonderful, historic building which has been well maintained. The hotel is very close to the train tracks.
We only stayed 1 night en route to Austria but it is a beautiful old building and the breakfast was excellent. The railway line was right outside the hotel (I know this is fairly common in this area of Germany) but it did keep me awake somewhat.
Very old building, over 900 years, very creaky but very charming Very close to a busy railway that operates all night
