central location with lots of parking, good friendly service, tidy well kepted rooms handy to Hamilton central. Don't like hand basins that are used to wash dishes as well as having to be used for facial washing. That means that either facial tissue is transferred to dishes or dish grime could be transferred to face - no a clean practice.
First contact when we arrived was very welcomming, service was great. The room was very clean and welcomming.
Location was good, it was central for what we needed and not being familiar with Hamilton we found it easy to find. Hotel is ageing, could do with a makeover.
Use of bath tab. Economy motel often times do not have bath, but luckily had a bath. The chairs at the breakfast place were not clean by use of cloth materials which shows marks from sweat of people, I think.
Near shops. A functional hotel.
We liked the closeness to town but not noisy, good as a base for the area as well.Very clean and tidy with all amenities Nothing, we enjoyed our stay
The Free continental Breakfast included with our stay. THis is a great draw card for people on a budget. The blinds in the bedroom were too narrow and street lights shone through all night keeping us awake. The couch bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. There were lots of late arrivals during the night and lots of people banging around in the floor above us.
Close to ceremony we had to attend, easy to find and close to highway out of Hamilton. Found few ants, morning, under handtowel left on vanity evening before.room 114
The standard room is large! Very spacious double beds and the rates per night inclusive of parking and breakfast make it a very good deal. I will come back for the breakfast alone - The muesli was delicious. I felt that the reception on arrival was not particularly inviting/warm and contrasted markedly from departure. without being outrightly uninviting.
Staff friendly, convenient for CBD, quiet location internet connection a little slow
We only stayed one night, but we liked the location it was very close to town and handy to where we needed to go. The only thing I can think of is the amount of milk for hot drinks. Maybe when ppl come and stay there could be a carton of milk given when they arrive as those little containers of milk are way too small.
It was nice and close to downtown Hamilton and was a good starting point for the round the bridges walk. We were also able to leave our car here whilst doing the walk which was very handy :-)
The stay at Ventura was comfortable and staff were helpful. Continental breakfast was very good. We were unable to watch the Maori channel.
The coffe bar, the shampoo and the shower gel. No toothbrush available and no shaving kit.
Close to central city for business
Location for business
All staff were freindly. The room was clean and tidy. The conference facities were more than acceptable. I had a Item of clothing stolen from my room by one of the service staff. I was in a meeting which wasn't due to finish till midday so I thought I would rush out at morning tea time and bookout of my room. Did this but in my rush I realised I had left my top hanging over the chair in my room. Thought I would get this once my meeting had finished. 11.
Location close to city centre. Valet parking works well but could perhaps be cheaper due to other parking options. Good buffet breakfast offered and would be better if included in room rate. no
The location was great. Rooms service excellent. Close proximity to the casino was also good. Valet parking very prompt. The extremely excessive costs for phone calls to Auckland and Australia. I have family that live here and phone often. We worked out that your hotel charges approximately 800% more than the cost of calls.
I spent one night as I had s goal of visiting the Hamilton Gardens. I walked there bus lively river walk from in front of hotel in 45 minutes. Great staff let me check in early as I had arrived on bus from Rotorua. Nicely maintained hotel, will stay there again!
just a great place to stay, great staff
The location, the value for money it represented to us as a family, the service and the facilities.
Clean, freindly staff, the breakfast was good and the hotel appeared well maintained, the rooms was very comfortable The parking arrangements
Ease of parking Bed worn and uncomfortable, Other guests stomping in the hall and in their room at 3,00am Coffee in restaurant at 8.30am dead cold. charge for 2 pieces of toast and coffee ridiculous
It's location to the Aquatic Centre Didn't like the horrible needlepoint shower
Very convenient to stay at the same place as the training course was running
For starters...my room wasn't booked when I checked in!!! Too far from city centre...seemed to be a 'conference type' hotel
Good all round hotel with all facilities and services - frankly, nothing stood out as "amazingly fantastic" but it was all "solid good" The volume on the television in the gym on the news channel seemed to be locked so it could not be turned up
Handy to Field-days event.
the dining room experience was very good, a good selection of healthy option food.
It was a bed to sleep, that is all Have stayed thre before. Rooms are very expensive for what they are, wehave stayed in better motels at half the price. It was the only place we could get two rooms. I would not stay there again if I had a choice. The decor is very tired and dated. The hotel desperately needs an urgent makeover.
Very quiet It had an unwelcoming ambiance although clean and quiet- very cavernous. No explanation from Reception as to the set up. I was in the second wing and it was difficult to lift heavy bags up the steps and in through the doors - needed auto doors and if there was wheel chair access it wasn't well indicated. Came over to restaurant at 6.15, it seemed empty of staff adn very cavernous. I decided to get room service
The fact that I could get a lovely evening meal that was gluten free. Also when I found out I had left behind my phone charger it was found and put in the mail - much appreciated - thank you. What about stating on the menu the options that are gluten free - it saves wondering and asking all the time if you are a Coelac - there are lots of us now!!!
Only concern was to wake up in the morning to find our door open, when I knew it was firmly closed and was still closed between 3 and 4 in the morning
Very helpful and cheerful staff/owners.Had left jacket behind and they phoned me about it before I had even missed it. Quiet despite location on busy street. Two bedroom unit small and shower/toilet facility tiny.Bad lighting and dark room with small windows.
staff were courteous and location was good. Floor in bathroom was filthy - my feet were black when walking on it for a short time. Therefore, I felt uncomfortable about everything else. Pillows were also way past their use by date.
spa in unit Very soft bed! and no hot water after 1 spa fill. sink a bit dirty and old
Friendly helpful staff. Dinner was tasty with generous portions. Comfortable affordable stay.
The people who helped are motivated to do so.The room have space It is quite simple but OK
Lovely staff, very clean & stylish room, nice quiet area.
Units were ell equipped and comfortable. Located a short drive to centreal city. We were in the disabled unit and the poor design of the floor meant that the shower flooded the bathroom. It had obviously happened before but there was no warning and my clothes and toilet bag were soaked as they were on the floor. We were, however, given extra towels to soak up the water and room service cleaned it also.
Great location, lovely pool and spa, lovely bathroom. all in all a very pleasant stay. Would definately come again, the staff were very obliging with a portacot, and moving us to a bigger until.
Location of motel was excellent for town or stadium (although access difficult during stay)and no problem with parking of my vehicle. Unfortunately did not spend a lot of time in the hotel so can not review any other facilities except the room which I though was well set out and more than suitable for my needs. For a roomwith spa bath I was disappointed in the size of the bath - would like to see something a bit deeper and bigger. Could not find separate remote for the bedroom TV and was also unsure of the efficiency of the heat pump as did not seem to heat room to any great extent (or isthis an insulation concern).
Location is great for attending the stadium so it is a quiet street when there are no games on. Could not unload luggage and get to the upstairs rooms without getting wet. There is no covered area outside the room door.
Incredibly friendly reception and very comfortable and evrything you needed was in the room. Reccommend this hotel highly.
We usually look at the star rating first and are prepared to pay more for a good place.
Room was warm. Bit noisy as wind caused door to rattle.Like king bed...hard to find accommodation with king beds in NZ. Was confusion at check in as thought I had paid for accommodation having given credit card details online. Should be clearer that this was confirmation of booking only. Used to using wotif site.
Location, Friendly Staff, Comfy bed
The central location makes it ideal for us to go and do our separate tasks Found the entrance to reception desk a hassel with luggage
The handy central location Not very good communication from staff and my jandals disappeared from our room
Proximity to riverside walk, friendly staff, walk to city centre The peanut butter was old.. :)
very good , comfortable and the staff were very helpful
The hotel was convenient location close to shops, restaurants and transport centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I found the room very noisy - it may have been the air conditioning?
I considered the $15 parking fee for a SUNDAY night and equal to 14% of the "Superior" room charge over the top
All good! Would be a good idea to provide details of price structure for breakfast.
Great room when having a night out. Very small rooms but a decent price in a great location a few minutes walk from all the bars and restaurants. Rooms are tiny. Cost of car parking adds $15 or $20 to your trip.
Central location Having to pay $15.00 each for parking. A motel just down the road would have been way cheaper.
The breakfast was excellent and the bed was comfortable and the size was good For the price even at normal price of $105 I would not stay again. The rooms all need revamping. The wallpaper was ripped and the boards around the main door were not even painted. The office staff were scruffy and not well presented.
The satff especially the wife have a very poor grasp of engilsh, we were up all night with people yelling and drinking and reving cars right outside our door till 5 am, in the morning the entire complex was littered with bottles and cans, I went to the office to get arefund and they did not come to the counter
the spa in the room the internet
Best price I could find for a one night stopover when there was a huge event on at Karapiro near Hamilton that weekend I don't think there was a heater in the motel
loved the cleanliness and the non-interference of the staff no
Quiet, wonderful staff, clean stayed two times. Both time beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Staff tried to accommodate w/a different room (i.e., different bed) the second stay, but same problem. All else here is wonderful. Would stay again, in spite of the bed.
The reception lady was very nice and the beds were so comfy, plus the amount of room for a porta cot was awesome!
We were in an upstairs unit and my wife hurt her ankle( not at the Motel) and when we arrived back at the Motel, they changed our room and provided ice packs for my wife to use. Very much appreciated.
Nice hassle free stay, friendly staff and good value for money
Swimming Pool was lovely and warm. Staff were very friendly. Free internet access. Hotel was fine but when we arrived they did not have our booking. Luckily there was a spare room.
