Pros: The journey up through the mountains was spectacular, the local buses we used were interesting, the welcome at the hotel could not have been better, the manageress was a really likeable character who looked after us like an old fashioned grandmother. One night we joined some of the staff, locals and other guests around the large log fire, talking in three languages and supping local beer. Magic.

Pros: A new yet traditionally built boutique hotel in the middle of beautiful old Kakopetria. Rooms are modern and clean. Especially the lady who runs the day-to-day business in the hotel will be remembered by us: Arlene made our stay extraordinary by her friendliness and helpfulness.
Pros: had fantastic view of mountains and it was great to hear the sound of the river. We were very surprised to find the luxurious bathroom was equipped with jacuzzi with colored lights and great sounding radio. The log fire was another terrific feature which one would not find in a hotel room, In my opinion this was the most perfect romantic getaway and can't wait to return,
Cons: Not being familiar with the area, it would have been nice to have recommendations for local restaurants.

Pros: The location is great and the restaurant and terrace are very nice. The manager was very nice and the food was good in general (although not outstanding).
Cons: The room where I slept the first night (101) was not at all clean (the lamp was literally full of spider webs...). Also, it was dark and you could hear absolutely everything from the upper floor. When I told the manager, he immediately proposed I change to another room in the main building. This one was better but, still, the bathrooms are not in good shape. I had dinner there the two nights I stayed. The first night I was placed at the bar, although some tables were empty for the rest of the evening. And it took them 45 ms to bring the food. The next day (Monday) it was not so crowded and everything went smoothly. I would recommend to avoid this place during the weekend.
