Cons: Not much!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is incredible! brids singing and so much green and nature. Kids club is by far the best I’ve ever seen in resorts. It has organic garden and so many different activities for both indoor and outdoor. They have beautiful beach in front and fantastic pools. I personally enjoyed my stay a lot!
Cons: There isn’t much I would put in here really. They will improve their fitness program as i was in the off season with them and they didn’t have all of the coaches available for me when I asked for them, but they offered something other instead and it worked well. Gym is small in my opinion, but everything in this hotel invites you to stay outdoors - run, rest, eat...
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Stunning grounds, good beach location. Room was amazingly comfortable and staff were generally great.
Cons: Slightly stuffy attitude (you must wear trousers for dinner in 30 degree heat) and some prices felt excessive for example 6 euros for a bottle of water by the pool
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the breakfast was great, pancakes and maple syrup, the setting was fantastic and the staff were brilliant
Cons: I was very happy and there was nothing more I required
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was nice, breakfast was good, they have two heated pools and easy access to the beach. Good choice for Marbella and Puerto Banus
Cons: The price yet is a little too expensive. We paid almost one thousand euro per night. The hotel is nice nut not really for this money

Pros: This boutique hostel was beautiful!! It was exceptionally clean & comfortable with a lovely bathroom & great shower!! There is a decking areas with seats where you can enjoy a glass of wine in the sunshine! The location is perfect for both the beach in the day & the bars & restaurants in the old town in an evening!!! The people on reception were really helpful & accommodating especially Leo. A really nice touch is that they have a lovely coffee machine & croissants for the guests to help themselves. I would definitely stay here again when we go back to Marbella.

Pros: Super location in a quiet street in the beautiful old town, just a 2 minutes walk to the beach. A few minutes walk to bars and restaurants and shops.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the cleanest place we have ever stayed. The bathroom was as big as the bedroom and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We went for a friend's wedding and the staff helped us book taxis and worked round our timetable. Even though we had to check in at 1am we were still greatted with a smile and professionalism. The view from the room was minimal but made very pleasant. We didn't mind as we weren't there for the view. The 5 room hotel is situated in the middle of everything. We had a lovely walk round, going to the local places the host pointed out to us on a map, visited local tapas places, bars, churros cafe, Old Town and the beech. All in the morning and afternoon before the wedding.

Pros: I have stayed at La Luna a few times because the family that run it are so lovely and it feels like home.Being a female solo traveller it is also extremely safe and you feel taken care of. Location is excellent as in the gorgeous old town on Marbella but literally over the road to the beach especially playa de Venus. Amazing organic supermarket nearby too I would highly recommend La Luna it is a timely real Spanish gem hidden in a now extremely modern Marbella.

Cons: If you left your sunbed for more than 30 mins your towels and stuff were removed.Sunbeds were very dirty not cleaned .The one lounge had very little in the way of nibbles and also nothing labelled couldn't tell if had meat in it or if it had nuts in it asked them to label them they didnt, if you want to know what's suitable for vegetarian or you have allergies you cant eat there ,nibbles left for ages and were mainly hard.so lounge basically only good for beverages if you drink alcohol, dont drink so only water coffee and fizzy drinks.. Balcony chairs in vip room oh lala the one not very comfortable they are hard.Bed was very bouncy and uncomfortable, we asked for double got two singles beds put together with a crack in the middle.Tried the spa it was ok but a lot smaller than expected re the pictures of it.. food offered in hotel very Limited menu.bathrobes were so rough didnt use them.coffee facilities in room had to keep asking for them to be refilled TV in room only 2 english channels bbc1 and bbc news that's it and volume and picture keep coming and going, they didnt work and although tv had smart function when we asked they said the function is disabled no smart TV .view from room was good room was clean pool was nice beach was lovely. Staff in hotel hardly talk to you.Breakfast in hotel was ok.but had to queue to get in. So location was great but not very friendly staff in the hotel ,only one we spoke to was a girl called paola who was very friendly and polite, the rest hardly gave you the time of day.vip experience I didnt experience it very disappointing trip. I noticed some people were shown to the sunbeds and towels placed for them I was just given towels at the desk nothing vip about this.I paid less in four seasons hotel and had much better service, the price doesn't reflect the service vip price for budget service.

5.5 Okay
Pros: Location is beautiful, the apartment is also very nice, roomy, nice views etc.
Cons: Upon check in, the host did not explain much about the locking of the garden sliding doors. The first night we went to dinner somebody broke into the apartment and stole a bag with over 10K euro of camera equipment, spare car key, etc. The host explained later that we should have used an extra (hidden) lock at the bottom of the door. This ruined the stay a bit.

Cons: Nothing every thing was great!

Pros: The location, and the property itself were amazing. the cost was extremely reasonable considering what you were getting. 3 bedroom 3 full bath with a terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. Cons: There was not a lot I did not like. Only complaint was the hot water did not last long. But no worries. It could not put a damper on the beautiful apartment and the views.

La Posada del Ángel - Ojen - Building
10
9.2 Excellent (357 reviews)
Overview Reviews
La Posada del Angel in Ojén is nestled in the mountains but less than 10 km from Marbella and some beautiful beaches. It has a traditional Andalusian style with 16 rooms built around a patio. La Posada was built about 17 years ago by converting 5 old houses which were situated in the middle of Ojen centre. The 5 houses surrounded a beautiful Andalusian patio which now forms the heart of it. Many of the original features have been retained to produce a place full of Andalusian charm. Rooms In 2011 when we took over the hotel we refurbished all the rooms and adapted to the needs of the current time. We certainly preserved the typical Andalusian ambience with its Moorish elements. The year after we build a climitized swimming pool and a roof terrace. Each winter we do some reformations, we created 4 bigger suites, 3 new rooms and several new bathrooms. In 2017 we got High Speed internet in the whole hotel and this winter we have changed the brick wall to the patio into glass to get more light and space in the lobby. The 16 rooms are accessed via the patio. All rooms have a private bathroom and satellite TV, some have a private terrace. All rooms have air-conditioning and heating and the possibility to make coffee and tea. Free WIFI connection in the rooms, on the patio and in the lobby. It isn’t just La Posada that has held its typical traditional architecture in this region. The residents of Ojén have managed to make sure that the original character of this place has been preserved – a big achievement given the amount of re-development going on this part of Spain.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room and shower. Breakfast was superb and the hosts are very welcoming and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location! Beautiful hotel! The hosts were very helpful and could not do enough for you.
Cons: We booked an upgrade with views but did not receive the room we requested.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, very fresh, couldn't do enough for you.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything except one thing
Cons: The description on Gibraltar in the visitors blue folder. The comment which reads “ one hours drive. Do not leave your valuables in car” is very insulting to us especially when Gibraltar has probably the lowest crime rate in the south of Spain. Did not understand why that was written !!! Please explain.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is beautiful, fresh and tasty. The pool was nice, refreshing after a day out. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Alex and all the staff friendly and helpful. Ojen is hilly so the lift to and from the Hotel was appreciated!
Cons: The noise from outside every morning due to the works in the street by the council. Not the Hotels fault. The water was cold on two mornings due to problem with the solar heating. Again not really the hotels fault as it had been repaired but took time to heat up.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great Customer Service and lovely breakfast. The room was very clean and the location of the hotel in Ojen was just what we were looking for.
Cons: There was not a refrigerator in our room and also someone put down 3 drinks in our "Honesty Bar" tab which we didn't drink. Lastly, it would have been nice if there was a pool table in the common area for guests to play if they didn't fancy going into town for dinner or drinks.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely inn in the village of Ojen. The rooms are charming and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. Ojen is a sweet village. Great place to unwind. Lots of little restaurants to try. Very close to Marbella for an outing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel with lots of character. Friendly staff and lovely breakfast. Honesty bar is a nice touch.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It's amazing to spend some time at night in the terrace, reading or whatever, it's pure magic enjoying an Andaluz environment. Breakfast was really good, waiters offering us more coffee or orange juice frequently, or if we wanted to eat some eggs or whatever, they were very kind. The owner (I guess) offered to pick us up in his golf car before checking-in and after checking-out.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A really good place for a short stay. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Everything was fine.

Pros: The spa was excellent and unlimited access was included in the room. The staff in the spa were excellent.
Cons: The outdoor swimming pool directly in front of the Oasis hotel was not allowed to be used by Oasis guests. Despite being within the area that the key card gives you access to. We had to use the outdoor pool of the complex next door. It was not an adults only pool area whereas when booking the Oasis it was advertised as Adults only.

Pros: An exceptional gem. From the stunning garden grounds, to the fresh, high quality food, to the excellent service. Spacious rooms, And that heavenly spa. Thank you, Oasis and Don Carlos team!
Cons: The only thing that could perhaps be improved is cooler common areas, but more sustainable to keep AC down so just be aware.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really exceptional hotel. All what you could expect for a relaxing holiday. Service in the hotel was excellent. The room and other facilities were spotless and every morning we were greeted in a friendly way at breakfast.

Pros: An extremely great hotel. One of the best I’ve ever experienced. The service was beyond great, excellent healthy breakfast and amazing rooms with earthy colors and great interior. And the spa! Wow. I felt so happy and relaxed after my time here. When you are surrounded by that kind of beauty and great service, you get a kind of eufori.

Pros: Landlady is very helpful and there is good quality equipment. Very good accommodation!
Cons: In our room we missed better lighting especially by the bed
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money, bigger than average room and private onsite parking. For me, single traveller, wanting a decent room and shower prior to golf the next day, it suited very well.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good quiet spot about 15 minute drive to Marbella. Glad we stayed here instead of a busy hotel in town. Felt like we had a whole house to ourselves when other guests were out for the day! Pool was clean and big with lots of areas to lounge for siesta. Having our own shelf in the kitchen fridge was nice, and there are two grocery stores just a few minutes walk away.
Cons: The hot tub had been drained and was not in use for the duration of our trip. Landscapers were on-site both days we stayed at the villa, which was really loud for a couple of hours and not the relaxing afternoon we'd hoped for. Linens could use a refresh, and the shower in room 3 took about 10 minutes to produce hot water. Breakfast was included but consisted only of single serve coffee and bread (there was fruit our second day). Best to stock your own supplies for breakfast from the local market.

Pros: Jose and his partner was really accommodating, nice and helpful. The views from the pool area were amazing an relaxing. Thank you!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A truly lovely gem of a hotel - beautiful; but this was all about the service really. It says that it wants to be home from home - well it's better than that - I could only wish that my husband might find a lovely place in the sun to place a lounger for me; or bring me excellent food or drink as I need; or arrange a massage / taxi's etc. I felt very well looked after and I really felt sad to be leaving.
Cons: Really nothing. Not a single thing! Even the bed was comfy and the shower pressure good. I can't think of anything I didn't like.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff Marta and owner Jose couldn’t be more helpful and made our stay all the better even accommodating us an extra night that wasn’t planned . Highly recon to you

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room view, the swimming pool, the location,
Cons: The room is so small and bath room also small for the room price and for the red level Next time I will think to have other hotel with bigger room
7.5 Good
Pros: I liked the location next to the sea, close to the walking street at the seaside. The breakfast at the courtyard with grass, trees and flowers was lovely. The newly renovated Bar outdoor was very nice, design and the live music made very pleasant our staying. The staff at reception were very helpful and very kind, taking care for all our reservation requests.
Cons: The hotel is old, indoor, outdoor, the furniture of rooms old as well, not cleaned properly, the pool tiles broken, not the feeling of 5 stars. More expensive that deserves.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was my second time in this hotel. The location of the hotel is stunning as it is overlooking the sea. Nice hotel, with amazing staff. Very comfortable room with see view. Very delicious breakfast. The hotel is situated step from beach.

6.8 Good
Pros: Nice hotel and food was good.
Cons: Hotel is extremely strict, before checking in our group were presented with a list of ‘rules’. The hotel request €100 deposit from everyone when you check in, this is not made clear and the website says €70. One night we arrived home after a night out and we were ‘escorted’ to our room by security, who then proceeded to stand outside our room for 30 mins with his arms folded, we felt intimidated. Staff weren’t the friendliest either or very helpful. My advice is not to stay here if you are on a girls/boys holiday.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was great, plenty of choice. Pool area was clean and plenty of beds if you got there as soon as it opened or mid afternoon. Staff were very friendly always smiling and saying hello. Waitress service at the pool was also great. Evening entertainment was great especially the Spanish night! Loved the bikes you could hire too. Aircon in the room was great. Love the main hotel and pool area decor.
Cons: Bedrooms were quite small and basic, not the same standard of decor as outside. Beds and pillows not the comfiest. Not enough storage for clothes especially if you want to hang stuff up. Drinks throughout the day were pricey, I feel like a water cooler dispenser should be made available as there was only small bottles of water available. No snacks/fruit available during the day, no eating by the pool which was a little frustrating. Also a small shop inside the main hotel area which is pretty large would be great, selling ice creams as well, as there is only a small trolley with limited flavoured dairy free ice cream which didn't ever seem open or manned. The hotel is quite a taxi ride away from Marbella, costing 30euros.

Pros: Hotel was excellent - loved everything about it. We stayed for a long weekend for a wedding. Breakfast was perfect and great selection especially as my friend couldn't eat wheat or diary. You catered for her. We loved it so much we've come home and booked up for July 2020. Staff so friendly and helpful. Reception helped us with booking appropriate car for 5 people and advising how travel time to different locations. Bathroom was excellent and spacious. Great to have towels for the room and also by the pool. Saved luggage space/weight :-)

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Any problems dealt with quickly and efficiently
4.5 Okay
Cons: Our AC was not working, it took a full day to switch our room..... we had a bad bug (ants) problem, when we arrived to our room late hours of night we found ants all over our mini bar we immediately went to front desk and was giving a can of bug spray to handle it ourself. There was a horrific stain on our sheets we had to ask for them to come really change our bedding, was horific..our room smelled like urine we couldnt put our finger on what the odor was at first til we found urine behind and around toilet. Again horrified. The cleaned bathroom that day, but smell creeped back. We actually took pictures of the urine around the toilet and brought it to the front desk. After all this the only thing the hotel offered us was to upgrade our Room the next time we stay at their hotel which would never happen.. we traveled from US tp Spain for a long planned vacation, truly ruined our trip day after day was something else..
6.8 Good
Pros: The location was great ! 5mins from Puerto Banus
Cons: Hmmm on booking.com the pics of the hotel seemed nice , but in reality not that great. Room service was weird.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was great value for money, good selection vs a good price.
Cons: Unfortunately this hotel really didn't live up to our expectations. It's very outdated in regards to styling and material. Besides that the staff was completely incapable of delivering or answering questions. For example; I've had my contacts taken from my room, probably by accident but when asked about it they simply implied that I was lying. Of course mistakes happen but what's important is how things are dealt with. In short; they didn't. The staff simply told me I was the one to blame which for a hotel of this "level" is wrong on so many levels. Another fun fact; they also told me the cleaning staff went trough our stuff to look for it. Just WOW! Besides that the room and hotel itself are quite outdated. The photos in no way represent what it's really like. Dusty, old, holes in curtains, TV crooked on the wall, staff forgetting stuff in our rooms.

Pros: Everything was fabulous, can’t recommend enough. Especially recommend the penthouse rooms with sun loungers and a jacuzzi, pure bliss! Will definitely be back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice view, big pool, clean and the staff treated us like gods.

Cons: Services were very poor

Pros: Wonderful location and beautifully decorated hotel. Quirky design. Lovely relaxing areas throughout the hotel with water features Pool looked clean and nice but we didn’t use it Staff very laid back
Cons: Bit of a walk to get to our rooms. Dining room on the roof was a lovely cool location thought the decor could have been more in keeping with the rooms which would be nice Staff friendly but some not well experienced

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Castillo de Monda is a perfect place for couples or just people, who just wan´t to "relax and chill" a little bit. Perfect atmosphere, super kind, polite and flexible staff - a place where you really feel that you are a guest that the staff is willing to take care! Top quality kitchen and marvelous breakfast. Oysters are the one dish that everybody should taste - awesome! This was my 4th visit in Monda and second time overnight there... but not the last time, that I can promise! So this is not goodbye - this is "untill we meet again" in Castillo de Monda! Muchos Grazias, Amigos!
Cons: It is difficult to trye to find something that was not nice, after an ecellent expierience in Castillo de Monda. So I don´t have nothing here - just thank´s and regards to the nice staff in Castillo de Monda!!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic.
Cons: Everything was fine !!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The service was excellent, friendly approachable staff, delicious food, high end menu. Lovely room, not cluttered. We did have to try and keep the air conditioning on as it was so hot. There was no hair conditioner or moisturiser in the room. Would it be possible for you to re design the water bottle situation to be more sustainable. Reduce/ban the use of plastic bottles etc?
Cons: See above

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed here in July 2019 half board and absolutely loved everything about Shanti Som. All the staff were so lovely and kind especially as I arrived without my suitcase! The atmosphere was very relaxing, I filled my days with a treatment (all of which were of top standard) then some reading by the pool. The food was so good that I bought their cookery book. I felt a million times better after my stay and will definitely be going back. I would like to try the yoga and hiking next time.
Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable and clean. The surroundings are tranquil and relaxing. The food was nutritious and tasty.
Cons: The waitress at dinner was very rude; we asked for a Martini and lemonade each and she looked at us as if she hadn’t heard of such a drink and acted quite put out by our request. After our delicious meal and desserts: we didn’t fancy the suggested ‘coffee’ and ordered our favourite ‘before bed drink’ - Lamumba. The large frown was placed all over the waitresses face once again so we explained to her what the drink was (hot chocolate with cognac). Well... we were told that she’d never heard of such a drink and that it wasn’t ‘normal’. Her reaction was shocking and made us both feel very uncomfortable. For this reason we won’t be returning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff all went the extra mile and knew each guest by name. It was so small - only 15 rooms - that it felt more like a large private villa than a hotel. The food was excellent - healthy and freshly made
Cons: I liked it very much. The rooms were small to share with 2 but I had one to myself so it was great.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is quite small/intimate, the decor is lovely and the staff are amazing - learning (and using) everyone's name - many different languages spoken. The rooms are spacious and all have terraces / balconies, which were well equipped with lounges. The food was delicious and the variety was good. The yoga instructors were great and the additional activities (hikes etc) were enjoyable.
Cons: I perhaps needed a little more pre-planning of activities to avoid clashes and ensure that all preferred spa activities could be scheduled.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was beautifully presented with an option for a cooked breakfast. The staff here are exceptionally friendly, courteous and helpful. Very tranquil and restful and indeed all of the guests were open and friendly.
Cons: Mix up over treatment dates but the issue was promptly resolved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Peace and quiet, lovely decor and surroundings, lovely staff
Cons: No coffee in the room, there was different kinds of tea but it would have been nice to have a coffee, even decaf!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! It’s an oasis of calm. Wonderful staff - who go beyond the call of duty. You arrive as a stranger and leave as a friend.
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel was beautiful and very peaceful. It is geared up to people traveling alone. The food was excellent (I’m veggie), the staff were friendly and helpful and it was wonderful having the treatments and yoga all available during the day. It is a place you can definitely invest in your wellbeing, if you’re willing to pay for it. I did come away feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. When my sunglasses broke the staff lent me a pair which was really kind of them.
Cons: I booked half board and the meals were very good but there were lots of additional costs that seemed unnecessary. For instance you needed to pay for fillings in your omlette in the morning, and there was no filtered water offered with dinner (you had to buy a bottle or walk to reception and pour yourself a glass), these are little things but they do leave an impression. The main disappointment was the cost of the yoga classes. They were extortionate if you weren’t on the yoga package. You could buy a 10 class pass for a more reasonable price but I was only there for 3 nights. I did pay for a few classes and really enjoyed them so it’s a shame the cost was so high as I would have gone to more classes otherwise. When I was booking I did inquire about the cost of classes but thought the price quoted was for the whole time I was there, not a single class. It would be better if the hotel was explicit about the class costs on its website. If it was there when I booked I couldn’t see it. The yoga was one of my main reasons for booking (but the yoga package seemed too expensive so I thought I’d book as I went). If I’d understood the costs more I may have chosen differently. I also booked the single room option and had a room right outside the kitchen. It was pretty noisy and the garden on the terrace was unfinished. This was a little disappointing considering the price.
7.0 Good
Pros: The peace and tranquility
Cons: Far too expensive for what it offers. Food was very limited.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: To be honest EVERYTHING! Starting from the friendly and welcoming staff at reception, the restaurant, Yoga teachers, Spa a special thanks to all of them. Great and strong team - well done and thank you very much for all your warm welcome and kind help during my stay. Amazing food, very good and healthy choices at breakfast buffet with local specialities too which I really appreciated. Same applies for the lunch and dinner offered...excellent! Shanti Som is a real sanctuary, if you are looking to relax. I highly recommend it and will be back soon.
Cons: No comment. Everything met my expectations.

Cons: no one to talk to on reception before 11.00. wifi didn't work
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: Perhaps the bed was a little small
7.0 Good
Pros: The hostel is brand new and very nicely designed. Each room has got its own personal style, and the bathroom in the room is modern, spacious and very clean.
Cons: The service is sub par. The staff is present for just a few hours a day so that, if something goes wrong when nobody's around, there is no way they can fix it rapidly. When we were there, for example, the internet in our room was not working, the TV in our room was not working, and there was an annoynig beeping alarm sound from one of the electric meters in the hallways that lasted for one hour or more.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Checkin was very easy although we arrived late at night. The room was comfortable, well-equiped and very clean.
Cons: I would have liked to have a hairdryer in the room.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hostal was indeed clean, staff was friendly and the location very good!
Cons: We booked a deluxe room, which ended up being a very noisy room on the first floor. We were woken early every morning by the sound of dryers that had finished their cycle in the room next door. There was a lot of noise coming from road works going on a couple of meters outside our window. The hostal door wasn't a quiet one, so we heard every hotel guest coming in and out of the building. All the conversations at the front desk and between staff echoed their way to our room. Knowledge of English was sometimes very poor at the front desk. It was a little difficult to understand each other at times.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easiness even though we came there past reception hours
Cons: Guests upstairs were walking until late in heels
