Pros: On arrival we were offered a cup of tea which came with homemade scones + jam + cakes & biscuits Rosemary could not do enough for us - will recommend this B&B again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was my first B&B experience and it will be hard to beat! What a lovely place. The setting, outside Bailiebourogh is gorgeous. The B&B section of the property is attached, but separate from the family home. Our room was a triple on the main floor with an ensuite, which was recommended for us as I was travelling with my mother. Lots of closet and dresser space, TV in the room - lovely bedding - warm comfy duvets. Rosemary is a wonderful, friendly hostess. A cup of tea on arrival - just what we needed after a long day. A good breakfast menu is supplied the night before with nice choices for a cooked breakfast. Scones were delicious! Tea and coffee are always available. A lovely sun room off the breakfast room was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view after a long day of sightseeing. If you are staying in the Bailieborough/Virginia area, I would recommend this beautiful B&B. Although the dogs are not allowed in the B&B - we were happy to make friends with Jessie and sky - the family dogs. Rosemary is a wonderful hostess and provides friendly, personal service. This is a great place to stay!!

Pros: What a pleasure it was to stay here! The facilities were perfect. The farm was wonderful and the horses (and my daughter getting to ride) were a treat. We felt like welcomed friends. Pros: A very warm welcome from Rosemary to a beautiful home, she gave us information on where to eat, which was fantastic. Trevor took the time to talk to us in the evening and we spent an enjoyable time with him. Breakfast couldn't have been better and set us up for the day ahead. A beautiful location despite the rain with exceptional facilities we couldn't have asked for more. Thank you both very much.

7.5 Good
Pros: Newly renovated bathroom with full size bath tub and large shower. Spacious room. Nice food and service throughout the stay
Cons: Poorly noise insulated room. Car park is the first customer landing and could do with some proper tarmac instead of dirt. Doesn't give a great impression as you enter the property
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely bedroom with bath tub
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful. The staff could not have been more obliging, the room and view from it was excellent and the breakfast was perfect.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The real test of a chef is eggs, poached or fried, scrambled, coddled or omelette, eggs are the defining food. After a perfect fillet steak the night before, with a a fantastic view of Ramor Loch and it’s wee monster (yes you read that right) I asked for Two fried eggs sausage and bacon! The sausages (3) were in a neat log stack and the bacon opposite and there in the middle of the plate a brace of eggs that looked almost like a double yoker! Whites solid... not a runny bit in slightest and the yokes yellow and the consistency of cream. Perfection on a plate. The house staff said, you should see his poached if you enjoyed those. This is no ordinary chef a Michelin star is not good enough for this 5 Dan Black belt culinary perfection. You should see they way he chops Garlic for those who like it on their steaks. Perfect rare by the way
Cons: Not knowing when I might be passing this way again
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room & Bathroom were gorgeous with a lovely view of the lake! The staff were so helpful and accommodating. We ate at the hotel and the restaurant for dinner was superb & also the cooked breakfast in the morning was nice too. Really lovely hotel would recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice quiet weekend away.
Cons: nothing at all really, just the weather was terrible during our stay so we didn't get to go out and walk around & enjoy the lake.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: owners are both extremely welcoming and friendly; rooms were even better than expected, nice lakeview, rooms were among the nicest ones i have come across in Ireland so far (seemed to be newly renovated); big selection of DVDs to choose from, comfy bed, good wifi, delecious breakfast
Cons: outside of the hotel needs some fixing up (but don't judge a book by it's cover :) )

Pros: The restaurant manager was most obliging, managing to get us quickly seated despite having been told we would have a considerable wait as we had not booked.
Cons: After specifically asking for a lake view we were placed on the ground floor and had a view of the parked cars. Yes we could see the lake between and under them for sure, but If I were you I would insist on a first floor room. The notice not to open the windows due to lake flies. The shower cubicle and bathroom could do with an overall.

Pros: Location was fantastic right beside one of the oldest megalithic sites in Europe, beautiful countryside, great atmosphere

Pros: It was so quiet. Surrounded by nature. The staff was so friendly and so helpful. Loved being so close to the Cairns. We got up early enough to have them to ourselves. The bed was comfortable. The room was immaculately clean. It felt so much more like the “real Ireland” and not the commercialized version.
Cons: One bathroom for so many people in the house made showers a little complicated. There Were bathrooms next door for the campers though and the kids thought that was fun to do. We forgot about not having towels but that was on us. I knew about it ahead of time and simply forgot. It was great and we would definitely stay again.

They did offer an alternative that they would bring up drinks to the room once they had cleaned up but we declined as we decided to go to another pub, also on booking.com it says the nightclub is open which it isn't and the bar is the nightclub/disco bar.
