Near to center, parking place , good price
easy to find from train station, good value, i would recommend this hotel to all
easy to find unfriendly personnel, dirty rooms, very expensive breakfast (17,50 €)
The staff were friendly, the food was very good and I was made very welcome.
Rooms were clean and comfortable without any doubt. Overpriced and the food is not good. Certainly no value for money and on average I stay 1 night per week in a hotel.
nice hotel, good staff, good position, free wifi, parking. if you have business to do in this little town that's the right hotel to choose some of the rooms have to be renewed
Location, price, parking facilities, A/C in rooms, well isolated rooms no room service, safe was not working, no ini bar
Very nice hotel, clean, great breakfest! The fact that they charge for internet!
Clean average room maybe three star at most
Friendly Staff Nearby Disco (not belonging to Hotel)
Nice staf Cold shower, bath room very poor. Very noisy.
Cleanliness of hotel - very nice building The room was old fashioned
rooms are small.
Quiet and well-located in the quaint village of Thorn. This hotel is in an old building but needs smartening up and modernising.
The staff is quite accommodating and friendly. That is the real strength of this hotel. No air-conditioning
Wonderful location lovely hotel, very welcoming. Added bonus was a bath!! The breakfast was excellent and the coffee superb. lack of tea and coffee facilities in room.
The hotel and its staff were friendly and pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the facilities sufficient. It offered excellent value for money. It was not possible to check in after 11pm and this was not clear from the booking information. As we were traveeling across Europe to get to the hotel this would have been useful information.
Comfortable, good Wifi access. Poor lighting.
Nice people Very old bathroom. Cold shower. At 9.15 hrs there were only a few things at the breakfast buffet
The friendliness of staff and the room was very clean. It was a very cosy hotel and had a lovely atmosphere.
Quality nof the staff and cooking.
The restaurant is very nice. The beds were awful, I asked for a double bed, and there were two signle beds together, that kept separating all night...
everything was clean, the staff efficient and polite, the room was very comfortable and breakfast - whilst not being overly comprehensive - was well presented (coffee was excellent - not filter !!). Location is just around the corner from the pedestrian area with a variety of shops as well as a weekly market.
The staff was very good. Breakfasts were tasty with lots of fruit, bread, eggs and bacon. Beds were comfortable but room smelled of smoke. All the hotel personnel were helpful
The staff were amazine, so helpful and polite. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
Comfortable and clean
Breakfast buffet is fine.
Staff were friendly and helpful , food was excellent , all very good value indeed
The location; the friendly staff. It would have been good to have had somewhere to sit in the evenings rather than being in the bedroom. The breakfast bread/rolls were variable in quality.
Cleanliness & spaciousness of room. Good breakfast Scruffy entrance. No reception.
Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Lovely place. In short: everything
The key was ready to be taken, eventhough there was no body at the reception.
Nice Breakfast and Nice Price. The room size is too small for simple double room.
Sleep / Eat
the rooms are really small, but clean and nice, the hotel has a great restaurant and a very tasty breakfast.
Fine and little hotel, nice staff, very good breakfast.
My sister and I were visiting from Australia and most relatives live in the area so location was very important. No access to telephone, we would consider this a motel or bed and breakfast as nobody was in attendance during the day except in the morning.
Convenient for Roermond. Breakfast ok. Nothing else to . Front door not used. Back door open 24/7 (security?) On arrival key on hook on chalkboard. No staff. Had to call owner using UK mobile to find out if late return possible (yes - never locked). My booking said Room 1, double bed. Deluxe bathroom with shower. I got room 12. 2 single beds. Attic room up 2 flights stairs too steep to carry a suitcase. Asked about this at breakfast. Informed it was my mistake.Guess what..room 1 and 12 same price. Nonsense.
kitchen closes at 8pm, rooms smell of sewage and are cold!
A lovely hotel in the beautiful village of Thorn. We had a lovely one night stay and enjoyed the ambience of this lovely hotel and its location right opposite the Abbey. Lovely breakfast provided in the morning and we also enjoyed a delicious meal from their restaurant.
The location of the hotel is perfect having dinner looking out at the Abbey. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great Breakfast included No
The location in the historic village of Thorn is very central and the restaurant in the hotel was good no
The friendliness of the staff made me feel like I was at home although I was really a very long way from home N/A
Big 'Al' was a nice chap who welcomed us on arrival and directed us to the car parking. He arrange for our 'early' breakfast with no drama. The village is lovely. They do not accept American Express which is our corporate standard card.
The owner, who was outside the hotel, actually recognised us on arrival by our car registration and waved us down so that he could direct us to their private parking area. Our room was very clean, the bed particularly comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. No complaints at all here.
Charming, quiet, plesant, quaint hotel right across from the main attraction in the town. The room was COLD and the manager didn't seem to want to or was not able to turn on the heat until 8 AM the following morning. Complaints met with no response and disdain.
A well kept hotel with a good breakfast. The parking is not at the hotel but located some 40metres away.
Excellent staff . good menu for non meat eater , local limburgs menu v - good .
Room comfortable, wifi avaiable in bar Church next door chimes on the hour/half hour every hour
Nice people, good service, very clean City is very quiet
Clean bed, hot shower, good breakfast, Very small room
Dinner is good. Breakfast is ok. Rooms are small, without airco and situated under the roof. These summer in 2010 was extremely hot(35")
Too poor breakfast
Breakfast, internet, parking included. Distance to German/Belgian border. Little noisy but that is expected because the rooms are situated above a pub that is open until 2. Little loud in general. But it was not a big problem for us.
quality of the room/dependences/facilities the room was pretty small
Simple clean and new. Free Wifi that works. An excellent budget choice. Shared bathroom
everything - excellent staff, accommodation, price and all in a very quaint and lovely small town. the room and all facilities were clean, modern and plentiful.
Its convenience in location to eindoven Nothing it was what we paid for
we visited a national park nearby and had dinnerparty at 6 km's
Clean basic accommodation; good continental breakfast Building work was being carried out...obviously a temporary problem
Large room, comfortable, nearly hassle-free, and of course, the rate. Hotel closed on Wednesdays, with no clue what to do about it in the original booking instructions. It all worked out in the end with a phone call.
Easy to find. Able to hear the owners family who lived above our room going about thier daily lives - very loud, particularly at night!
