Nice position near to the harbour
A very comfortable hotel with excellent service, and situated in a prime position overlooking the waterway.
Lovely hotel by the Marina The town is very quiet at this time of year but busy in summer. Hotel staff and rooms are very good. Decent breakfast with a fixed evening menu during my stay. Recommended.
Friendly helpful staff No night porter and with a late flight made it difficult to get in
Unlike the hotel rooms in the larger cities on our European tour, the rooms here were spacious, well appointed, and quiet! And the newly renovated bathrooms were absolutely luxurious!
Great location in the centre of an attractive small town. Convenient for exploring town and surrounding countryside. Our room faced the canal, great for watching the boats, some large and some very small, go by.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Restaurant food in the evening was very good although a little bit expensive. Breakfast was excellent, set us up for the day. Great location in the town, handy for shops and walks. No bad point
Good size room with view onto harbour. Room and facilities were clean. Stay was slightly spoiled one night due to couple next room arguing all night. We had a room with inter-connecting doors, which means reduced sound proofing
the hotel staff are always very helpful and freidly
The location was superb and the advice from staff regarding free parking etc. was unsolicited and very useful. Even gave us a parking disc for our onward journey. Breakfast good and superb setting. The room fridge was not effective.
Very nice patient place with historical atmosphere.
What a fabulous hotel and what a great find! The rooms are small, comfortable and more than adequate, but the public areas are quite simply stunning. The resturant is absolutely fantastic with perfectly cooked and very well presented meals. The reception I received from the owner was second to none, and I was made to feel very welcome. A great place to stay.
Hotel is situated out of noise of Amsterdam. Quiet and beautiful place. The restaurant is designed in north tradional king style, it looks like very expensive. The room is old. and looks simple, but reasonable for its price.
I stayed at Het Roode Hert with my fiancee and my daughter back in February, and I came back to the same hotel, this time alone to be with my daughter while she had an operation. Again the staff were wonderful, when I explained to Robin that I would miss breakfast as I had to leave the hotel at 5:30am, they packed a breakfast bag to take with me! This pretty much sums up the service. They are polite, helpful, and look to make the stay as pleasant as possible. There are minus points, the stairs are very steep and the rooms are basic (but en-suite), but the food is great and the prices are excellent. There are several other hotels in the area I could try, but I love this place and will stay there again in the future!
Convenience to Enkhuizen and other towns in Noord Holland. Skimpy breakfasts.
The excellent 4star restaurant and helpful friendly staff. nothing
very friendly staff
The car parking was good, the breakfast was ample and the pub was atmospheric and relaxed This was a pub with a few rooms it was not a hotel. The rooms were the most basic I have ever stayed in and I shall not be returning
We ate in the Restaurant on the first night and had a superb meal.
Brilliant place, felt a bit like a luxury tent. People sooo friendly with personal touch, free wifi. Great breakfast served to your doorstep in a box. Right next to a working farm, lots of friendly cows mooing along :). Would stay there again without hesitation. A bit too much overlooked by the other cottages but that seems to be the way the Dutch like it in general
Hotel staff extremely helpful and accommodating in all aspects, Cannot fault the chalets and location Thank you for a memorable stay
the quiet, the scenery, pleasant kindly behaviour from whole neighbourhood, a taste of life as it should be. Easy access to rural villages, canals, the sea, lovely country lanes . The farming family as Restinn kept the place immaculate for visitors, even after the cows had to be brought in during the very wet, muddy weather. I thought the car parking was to restricted. As retired people we do not find reversing in tight areas as easy as we used to. It was also rather a long way from the cabins, especially when it was very wet.
We chose these lodgings for an overnight stay as we were visiting my niece who has a neighboring farm. The accommodations are in a series of small and very modern little A frame buildings in a meadow on a real live working dairy farm. You are brought a very nice breakfast in a clever insulated box. We enjoyed the farm atmosphere and the unusual design, but feel you must have your own transportation. We had a rental car, which was perfect.
The hotel staff was very nice - giving us a locked space for our bicycles overnight. Since there are two comparable properties right next to each other, with a E 14 per night difference, we did not feel that this hotel was a better value. We would have preferred the other hotel, but your website said it was full, although since this hotel was mostly empty, that seems unlikely. Also, the lobby area had a stale, smoky smell, which is not appealing. The room was fine.
Nice quiet location. Good restaurant. Helpful staff.
Breakfast was good. Traffic noise of youngsters on bikes and cars in the early hours of the morning (2am!) was a nuisance. Our room was on the front of the hotel. Smell of smoke pervaded the hotel even though smoking was restricted.
It was Quiet, clean, Good breakfast, and had a helpful staff. All in all I really did enjoy the stay there :o) That there was allowed smoking in the bar.
staff were very friendly internet connection was very very poor
There was no fuss
