Oosterdam Information

About Oosterdam

The Oosterdam is a Vista-class cruise ship in the Holland America Line fleet and it launched in 2003. At 950 feet long, the Oosterdam can hold 1,964 passengers and the cruise ship is notable for the excellent service on offer from a crew of 812. The Oosterdam provides something all ages at sea, as old-fashioned glamor blends with modern attractions. In 2016, the Oosterdam was refurbished during a dry dock session, to include refreshed suites. The ship has a number of accommodation options available, including Inside, Ocean View and Verandah staterooms, plus Signature and Neptune suites. All staterooms have comfortable beds with high thread-count sheets, bathrobes, flat-screen TVs, minibars, hair dryers and safes. On board, daily cooking classes are on offer in the Culinary Arts Center, and the Digital Workshop allows passengers to work on their computer skills. Wine tastings, mixology classes and cake decorating sessions can be enjoyed at sea, and the Explorations Cafe allows passengers to play board games and jigsaws. Children are catered for in Club Hal, with fun, supervised activities and families love the two pools and sports court. The Oosterdam journeys to a wide range of destinations, including throughout the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and Alaska. Ports of call in Europe include Rome, Barcelona and Santorini, while a Caribbean cruise takes guests to Half Moon Cay and Cozumel, for shore excursions such as snorkeling and zipline adventures. Exciting itineraries mix with onboard attractions, for a cruise holiday to suit everyone, on the Oosterdam.
