Pros: The property is lovely, and just off from the main road towards Dublin or Galway. We went into Galway for the afternoon and evening, and came back to a clean room and bathroom. There was a tv, cookies, and coffee available in the room. Breakfast was wonderful, and the hosts are kind and hospitable.

Pros: Very friendly host and guest
Cons: The bed and pillows wasn’t my fit but maybe others like it more. The bathroom was a little tight too.

Pros: Peaceful atmosphere and very nice rooms. The Irish breakfast was simply delicious. Michaell and Ann are outstanding hosts.Their suggestions about places to eat and make tourism were very useful. Thank you Michaell for drop me in the Marine Institute when the taxi app failed. Pros: Beds were very comfy ,breakfast was great had fresh scones and brown bread baked in the morning the hosts were so welcoming and friendly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Off all the places we stayed at during our 16 day Irish trip, this was our favorite bed and breakfast. Here we ate the best breakfast of any of the places we stayed. The scones are easily six stars. Ann and Michael were our favorite hosts. The location was easy to navigate to, the property was lovely, both inside and outside. The room was well appointed, with items that none of the other bed and breakfast we stayed in provided. The WiFi was excellent. Everything was clean. Ann and Michael were lovely hosts, answering all the questions tourists have. Michael even provided tech support.
Cons: The only way to improve our stay would have been if we had taken even more scones with us when we left. Unfortunately the most of the scones didn’t survive the breakfast table.

Pros: Great location lovely room and amazing breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The host and his family were lovely and very helpful. The room was nice and the bed and environment were lovely and comfortable. It was in a lovely central location so we were able to walk to dinner and activities. The breakfast was lovely, however skip the coffee!
Cons: Unfortunately our room looked over a Greyhound race track and we found this very disturbing, morally and physically. Loud announcing and bright lights in our room from the track were not appreciated. This accommodation was listed in our Rick Steves book as a B&B, however we ended up paying for our breakfast when we checked out. Later we saw the details in our booking info that breakfast was an extra charge. Our room was 130 Euros a night without breakfast. This seemed very high compared to other accommodations we looked into in that same area.

Cons: We would have liked tea making facilities on our floor but this is a very small criticism
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owners were so helpful and friendly. They gave excellent advice to tours and other things to do in the area.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were warmly welcomed with a cup of tea and slices of homemade 'Guiness Cake'. Our very pretty room had a lovely view of the garden. There was a desk and 2 chairs, a kettle, TV and Wifi. The room lighting was good. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The house is in a nice area which is quiet and safe and it is only seven minutes walk to the village where there are several places to eat and drink. Parking was on site. The breakfast was great and it was good to begin with Marion's homemade fruit salad and the natural yoghurt she makes. We would be happy to stay with our thoughtful hostess if we come this way again.
Cons: Nothing to not like.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location for visiting Galway only a short drive away.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: What a warm and friendly welcome we received! An excellent host and a lovely home cooked breakfast - the landlady makes her own yogurt, bread and jam. The rooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated. The huge garden at the back is simply amazing.
Cons: We hadn't estimated distances in Ireland and the BB is about a 15 minute drive to Galway, then you arrive and have to look for parking. So after a tiring day out and about, you may not really feel like going to the BB and then back to town. What we did was have an early dinner and return around 10 pm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room overlooking back garden. This B+B is in a great position as you can go on some day tours and be picked up within easy walking distance. Great if you need a day off from driving as we did the Connemara+ Cong tour with Galway tours which was amazing. Also close to village.

Pros: House was fine. Nice and clean and quiet.
Cons: Breakfast. The breakfast was the worst part of our stay. When we said we didn't eat meat we were offered cheese with our eggs. For the price we paid I would have expected a better choice. There were lots of cakes meat cheese cereals laid out but they didn't look very appetizing and the cereal we tried was stale. I think get rid of all the little unnecessary side bits and have better quality smaller range.

Pros: The location was great and the place was clean and tidy. The off street parking was handy.
Cons: We booked a room for two adults and while the room description was a 'small double', the room and bed were below expectations. Pros: A great little B&B for a good price in a good location. The breakfast was wonderful and the owners are so friendly and gracious.
Cons: The only issue was that we had one key for the room even though there were three of us, but I expect that is common for a B&B like this one. Still, I would stay there again!

Cons: Priced a bit high, but, no doubt, caused by the Galway racing festival being on.

Cons: The room was smaller than expected
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was clean, nice and quiet.
Cons: We were taken to a second property than the one we booked. We had read this might happen and it worked out just fine, but can be very unnerving since we did book at St. Jude's and did not stay at that location.

Pros: The hostel is directly located in the city centre, which is super handy! The rooms are nicely equiped with lockers, reading lights and curtains. The common area is also very cosy and the breakfast was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From yesterday to today, this is first time here when I have been staying in Galway and Kinlay House Eyre Square hostel as well. It was REALLY GOOD to me for staying because he was a kindly person who is Marcin. Most of all, I will be there again when I will get my holiday and have a plan to travel at Galway. See you soon again, Marcin.
Cons: Travelers have to prepare a hairdryer before having a reservation.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Coffee is good, easy check in and booking, cheap and cheerful, breakfast is good too
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. The bed was comfy with the curtains offering an extra privacy, the showers were great, the staff super nice, yummy breakfast and great location near the bus/train station and the city center. Overall everything was smooth and professional, the Kinlay Hostel crew knows what they're doing. I especially appreciated the large common space with comfy sofas and armchairs and free tea at the ready when there was pouring rain outside for hours. Really nice and relaxed atmosphere, wouldn't hesitate to come back again.
7.5 Good
Pros: No problems with the room change. Slept nice. Beds are good. Enough places to charge your phone and stuff. Staff is really nice and help wherever it is possible. And the laundry service is amazing and good. They wash, dry and fold it. :) If you're in Galway go here. Near the bus and train station and lovely pubs around it.
Cons: I moved to from a personal 6p room bathroom included to a 6p room with shared bathroom with the whole floor. There was heavy rainfall and my room was damaged. No worries but the shared toilets and showers could use an extra check a day. Some people drop there stuff whether they think it's good. And that is not always the litter. And it gets hot during the night even when you open a window.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked European sockets next to Irish ones. The courtains around beds is a good idea. Staff was super friendly. Bunk bed was comfy. A very clean place. Big lockers. Good size of the room. The place is very close to bus station, Aran Islands ferry shuttle bus, pubs and restaurants yet it's not a very noisy neighbourhood. I would stay there again.
Cons: The lift got down a day before my departure. Instant coffee only. The floor in shower room got flooded once the shower was used. This was nothing compared to what I got there.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: good internet, nice lobby
Cons: beds were a little bit to hard
8.8 Excellent

The Nest Boutique Hostel - Galway - Building

8.9 Excellent (257 reviews)

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Convenience of location, good restaurants and bars nearby. Parking outside on street.
Cons: Top floor rooms are quite stuffy in summer.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location! Beautiful rooms and staff were super friendly !!!
Cons: The bed and washroom were small but overall a lovely place to stay right down the road from restaurants and bars. Would stay again.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable, spacious, and clean. The main lounge area was lovely, and they provided coffee and tea all day, plus a delicious continental breakfast with individual French press coffees. The Nest is in a good location in Salthill, with good restaurants and bars nearby. It's also only about a 15-20 minute walk to the heart of downtown Galway.
Cons: The price we paid was quite high for what I would expect for a room with a shard bathroom. Granted, we were there during a busy week, so I'm sure that drove the price up. The shared bathroom was also a single room (one shower and one toilet) shared between a number of rooms, so it could take some time to wait for others to be finished. This is a real "boutique" hostel and has a very classy, modern, and upscale atmosphere, so I can understand slightly higher prices, but I was disappointed with the bathroom facilities. Also, there is parking on-site, but it's very limited, so you may have to park on the street. Street parking is free at least.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice hostel and staff. With a cosy "around the world" style. Parking in the street or nearby. Clean and comfortable. 20 minuts walk to centrum. And a short walk to the beach and pubs and restaurants nearby. Will probably book this hostel next time in Galway.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing atmosphere, chill environment feels like home away from home. Very good sweet breakfast, nice staff. Cool design.
Cons: Bathroom sink way too small. Shower works only if you keep pushing the button. Benches for breakfast not that comfy
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good and very sweet with muffins, peanut butter, fresh fruits, cereals, etc. Friendly receptionist, who booked tickets for us in the near theatre for an Irish Dance show. Beautiful, stylish, fresh and young interior of the hostel.
Cons: The rooms had sloping ceilings so we always had to take care of our heads. There are only a few parking places in front of the house.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Style, breakfast, staff! The coffee - flat whites - WERE AMAZING. Almosy NZ quality x
Cons: Gets pretty warm in the rooms!
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff, Niamh went the extra mile to sort gluten free breakfast options for me. Upcyled repurposed items throughout.
Cons: Early check out, unless you pay extra.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel would do with some minor tweaks (coded lockers tha don't require buying a padlock, hooks or hangers in the room for a coat, cheaper towels) BUT this place had, hands down the nicest, kindest staff EVER, so much so that (the manager I assume) gave me a lift when I got stuck for transport. NEVER has any hotel personnel been that kind... this hostel is nice, comfy (bed was hard which I like but may not suit all), I love the location, quiet (a big plus in the hostel universe).... but the staff were really the best. Irish hospitality above and beyond!!!
Cons: Small tweaks, see above
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Although the hotel is not in town centre it is still ok to reach it by walk. Approx. 15 min. The hotel is refurbished, clean, nice and kind service. I spent the night in dormitory room. WIFI, plugs, lightning at bed, small locker all available.
Cons: Small choice of breakfast. No hot breakfast (except coffee). Couple sorts of fruits, cereals with milk and a few types of bakery. Towels for rent only.

Pros: Central location , efficient staff,
Cons: Breakfast could have been better, maybe display some fresh fruit/cereals and breads.
5.7 Okay
Pros: The place was in a great location.
Cons: I felt like I was rushed through the check in process and there was no one there when I left at 7 in the morning. Additionally, as promised the heat did not work. Overall they seemed new at the B&B business.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Room was very comfortable, stylish and clean. Great value for money even though we booked at the last minute and Galway was busy. Great live jazz session on in the bar night we were there. So a good atmosphere. Food was excellent. A great dinner menu is also available with an option of eating in the conservatory area. Breakfast was delicious the next morning, well prepared to order and very filling.
Cons: Only one thing really, our room was facing onto main road which is quiet busy so would ask for a quieter room if possible next time.
4.3 Okay
Cons: Very noisy environment (open window and noise or no air in room), kitchen smell comes to room. No wardrobe for clothes.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was just enough and very tasty
Cons: Overall very good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff.good parking
Cons: Nothing..everything was very good.
6.8 Good
Pros: Beakfast seemed a bit chaotic this morning maybe this not the norm
Cons: Breakfast when it eventually arrived did not look appetising and it was flavourless. The sausages tasted stale. The toast was good. The delay to get food or even tea was unusually long. The shower isn’t electric, therefore it’s difficult to regulate and wasteful of water also the water very slow to drain-shower tray gets very full!
Bunk Boutique Hostel Galway - Galway - Building
20
8.8 Excellent (4,140 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Bunk Boutique Hostel Galway in Ireland has a more luxurious feel to it than the traditional hostel does. Guests get more amenities and comfort than what there is at other hostels but still get to pay the lower hostel prices. The 21 rooms in this hostel are clean and well-maintained. The hostel is quite new and has a fully equipped kitchen for all of its guests to use. There is a computer that can be accessed by all guests as well. The hostel has lockers for visitors to store luggage and belongings in securely during their stays. The atmosphere of Bunk Boutique Hostel Galway is very urban and creative. The full kitchen can be used to cook meals. There is a breakfast served for free every morning also. The location of the hostel is in the center of Galway so there are many other options for dining right within walking distance of the hostel. Galway has various interesting places to visit and plenty of things to do. There are lots of bars and restaurants. There are some great escape room experiences to check out. Guests can take all kinds of different tours in the area. Eyre Square isn’t far away. The Medieval City Walls can be seen just steps away. Those of age can experience Irish whiskey tastings very nearby as well. Bunk Boutique Hostel Galway is an atypical hostel that provides guests with memory foam mattresses for a good night’s rest and a location that can’t be beat. It’s right in the heart of Galway where a short walk takes visitors to most of what they’ll want to see. This is an affordable, clean, and comfortable place to stay in Galway.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful staff, location.
7.5 Good
Pros: No breakfast but location is great. No pretentious stuff, just a safe & clean place to stay.
6.8 Good
Pros: The bathroom was the one thing I wouldn’t change regarding our stay.
Cons: I am writing this review with eyebags. We stayed in a private room in the hostel but there was nothing private with regards to noise. We were woken up by the hotel next door loading what felt like about 200 metal kegs at 06:30 in the morning without a care in the world. Shortly after, the corridor was alive with slamming doors, knocking and banging. Wouldn’t recommend without earplugs or sleeping pills.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Very loud in evenings. Water pump running all night
4.5 Okay
Pros: Parking close by
Cons: Noise, Bed uncomfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and nice. 15 seconds away from the coach bus terminal and five minute walk to downtown.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service was good
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is good
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, really central and the room was clean and modern
Cons: A bit noisy but it was race weekend in Galway so that's the price for being so central
6.3 Good
Pros: Good location very close to the city center.
Cons: We received a confirmation of a bedroom with 3 beds (double, single and single), but we got 2 doubles instead. Also in the description a TV was mentioned, but wasn't there. We did not mind these details, but maybe they should not be mentioned in the description. What we did not like was the parking issue. When we reserved, the property mentioned a parking for 12€ a day. In front of the hotel there are three spots available while you are checking in. We could not use them at the check in because they were busy by cars from the hotel next door. One of the spots actually had a car until next day. And we were charged 15€ in the parking that the girl at reception pointed (for staying 16 hours). We did not like also that the windows of the bedroom were above the kitchen chimney of the restaurant next door, the whole bedroom, sheets and towels smelled like fried oil.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Near to everything, clean and comfortable.
Cons: My only issue was the weather was hot and there’s no aircon/fans in the rooms.
