Good room for a family although very dark. Some overhead lights would be good. The room was not ready when we arrived at 4pm. The pool area was absolutely packed as was the car park but by 8pm that night, the car park was relatively empty which makes me think that a lot of people around the pool were not actually staying at the hotel as you could park your car in the underground parking lot and walk thorugh to the pool without anyone checking.
The hotel staff were very friendly and even showed us to our room. The pool facilities were fantastic and the pool bar prices were very reasonable Hotel restaurant was expensive
this hotel was an absolute disappointment
Lovely views, friendly & efficient staff, nice pool.
A insonorisação dos quartos podia ser melhor. Não acho correcto cobrarem 7,5€ pela utilisação do banho turco ou sauna.
The country and the Termes of Monfortinho
cleaness and friendly team
Numa palavra: Tudo!!! Quarto com vista para o castelo, recepção calorosa, cama superconfortável, velas no quarto, pequeno almoço delicioso, donos do hotel super-simpáticos... Nada a apontar
A lovely old house recently converted sympathetically, in a traditional hillside village. Very comfortable & clean rooms, good sized bath (be patient waiting for hot water to arrive... it will), nice breakfast with freshly-baked bread. The owner is very friendly, even if her English was nearly as basic as our Portugese. Great value. Out of season, there is no restaurant in the village though only 10-15 minutes drive away is Fundao with a selection. If you visit with a large car, it may be wise to park in the village square to avoid scraping it against the very narrow streets.
Beautiful Village, Beautiful Hotel - will stay again. Note we were given front door key.
Very helpful hostess. Our room was very clean, spacious, quiet and well equipped. We also had the use of an upstairs dining room/lounge for after dinner relaxation. The breakfast was good. It's an exceptionally charming hotel in an unspoiled village. Off season, there is no restaurant or decent shop in the village where food can be bought.
This hotel is located in a very pretty small village in the mountains. The outside of building is the original but inside it is converted to a beautiful modern home. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the ruins of the castle - one hundred meters away. Very clean hotel with comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. Parking is on the street - streets are very narrow. Hotel is not that dificult to find as it is relatively close to the main highway. Hotel staff doesn't speak English. Breakfast was just OK but enough for the money 50 euros that we paid for our one night stay.
Good place to stay during Boom fest!!!!!!!!!)))))))))))Very cool breakfast! Thanks!!!!!
The location was very good, but the facility is basically a bed and breakfast in a large house the rooms are co located with the area used by the family. The night we stayed there we found it very noisy and impossible to sleep until after 11.30 PM when the children went to sleep. The owners had small children (less than 5 years old) who were constantly yelling and screeming at each other. See above
It was right in the heart of a beautiful old town, with spectacular views as Idanha da Nova is on top of a large hill. The service was great, and breakfast tasty. :D Unfortunately, they didn't have heat for the first part of the night, and it was REALLY cold! But that's okay, this was apparently just a fluke, but we just happened to get caught in the middle of it.
