Very nice location, very nice comfortable rooms close to several touristic area (Avignon, Wine tasting, Baux de Provence, Marseille) No possibility to make phone calls.
Located in beautiful place, excelent service and very confortabl room. The place is very romantic and close to other nice cities in Provence.
Classic country-stile, except maybe the diningroom. Surrounded by beatyfull nature. Neighbouring small city (Orgon) is dirty and borring.
the location. our room had a view of a big cliff - beautiful area nothing
Excellent location, helpful and friendly staff, amazing restaurant. Quiet and spacious rooms.
The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but once through the doors a large, beautiful courtyard (very well maintained) appears. Nice pool area, and well appointed spa area. Fantastic meal at the restaurant. Very friendly staff. The location is a little "off the beaten path", and you need a car to get anywhere. Overall, a little pricey (both room rate and restaurant).
quiteness, close to town centre, spacious garden pool water was not heated and a bit too cold
Spa facilities, swimming pool area and the hotel grounds and decor were very nice. Staff were also very attentive. Free wifi in the bedrooms. My room was very small although I was advised of this when booking so can't complain, there are a couple like this, and based on other reviews, most rooms are larger (although this would cost extra to the 185€ we paid per night). My main issue was the cost of any extras in the hotel. Menu prices and drinks were extortionate even if it has a michelin star. Since it's a good 10 minute drive from Avignon, if you don't have a car, you have to go by Taxi, and for some reason that costed around 25€ each one way journey too, making it an expensive couple of days. Not sure if it's normal, but the taxi drivers seemed to start their meter when they were called by the hotel, so the starting tariff would range from 6.50€ to 8.50€ which isn't great.
Very nice and quiet! Excellent Dinner. Very friendly staff. Secure place and parking ground. Close to Avignon. Will come back...
All the staff were exceptionally polite and helpful, especially the staff at reception, and the restaurant was of a good standard.
We absolutely loved this hotel! It has lots of Provencial charm and our room was very pretty and spacious. It is the perfect place to stay in Provence if you don't want to be with all the crowds in Avignon center. It is about a 10 minute drive to Avignon and easy access to other areas of the Luberon region. There are no restaraunts nearby so you will need a car for sure. The hotel has wonderful food but is pricey. It has a great outdoor pool, indoor pool with spa, very lush landscaping and beautiful patios. Very attentive service and wonderful personel.
The friendliness of the staff and the food was fantastic Need a map to get there!!!
Relaxing, clean and friendly Too expensive by far and poor location
The staff were very attentive and polite. The layout and facilities in the hotel were lovely and there was a lot of attention to detail. Lovely scented rooms.
We knew this hotel from a previous stay 10 years ago, it was nice to find out that it still matched our expectations. The restaurant as good as ever.
Great Service and Food, very rustic and very french Air conditioning did not work very well in the room because of poor design
Standard of hotel A1 100% top notch, as too were the staff. Fantastic location, ditto premises and attention to detail. Totally perfect in every way, could not have been better. We will return.....
The hotel is beautiful with excellent grounds. First class restaurant. The air-conditioning in our room did not work which made for a very hot night. Staff were informed but took no action.
A charming inn rich with history. The grounds are beautiful and one of the best bathrooms we have had in France. A lovely place if money is no object, although we did get three nights for the price of two on the booking.com site. The meals were over the top expensive. We were seated in the dining room and the owner came in and told my husband he should be wearing a jacket for dinner. This embarrassing situation could have been avoided if the website had indicated their policy or strong suggestion for dress attire. Because of this, we chose not to eat subsequent meals at the hotel and dined elsewhere.
The staffs of hotel are very nice and friendly. Dinner was excellent and especially enjoyed to see wine list which had a lot of reasonable priced bordeaux grand vin of good vintage.
We liked this typical atmosphere one gets in French Hotels et Chateaux, unique in the world. We also liked the central situation in the Provence, close to Avignon, very close to the highway. no complaints
The service was excellent, the food was out of this world (congratulations to the chef), overall the staff was very friendly and helped regarding all our requests. Relaxed atmosphere No, we were very happy. Clients should be aware that although the rooms are very reasonably priced (semi-luxurious, I would say), the restaurant is very expensive. But it was well worth it. The food was stupendous.
Accomodation is very complete, staff is professional. The ambiance is nice (manor and chapel). Swimming pool relatively big. The elevator in the chapel is very slow and the carpet in it has to be cleaned. But this is a minor issue.
perfect kitchen and stuff, nice pool and atmosphere
Friendly staff, cleanliness, excellent value for the cost
close to restaurants and shopping mall. The front desk counter was friendly and helpful the parking compound was dusty.
Room was good and breakfast was excellent No swimming pool
Pleasant staff and the location which was very good. It had a beautiful garden for having meals / drinks
Old Sharming hotel
Nice friendly hotel with good breakfast served in a pleasant courtyard. The town was nice too with plenty of places to eat and drink. You can also get a 25minute train into Avignon. Free parking in the big square outside and next to the tourist information office. Probably the best place to stay in Cavaillon.
it was very shabby in decoration/tiling etc and needs updating
Very friendley helpfull staff good size rooms good location every thing worked and the staff generally wanted to make your stay as easy as possable
Great location and easy to find. you get exactly what you paid for but nothing more. the inside decore is much more magical than the first impression from the parking lot... the surroundings seems a bit sketchy and it is apperant that the city knew better days.
The restaurant is excellent. My hotel room was on the 3rd floor, the lift only goes to the 2nd. This room being under the roof was hot and stuffy, and was given a ventilator which had to run all night. A single bed at 80cm wide may be OK for the French but not for me!
This is good value - the rooms are in basic Provencal style and clean. Weather permitting, breakfast and evening drinks are served in a charming courtyard. There are several public ground floor rooms for reading and chilling out. The Proprietor is very helpful and his wife 'mignon'. No complaints
This hotel is easily acessible from highway and it is close to the main arterial roads and it is good to visit near cities. It is 1 hr far from Camargue, 15 min from Avignon.
Reliable service and assistance.
Large room, very clean, big bathroom and balcony. Very friendly staff. Nice pool and outside area. Location is out of town, so you need to have a car to visit anything including the town. Close to motorway so good for visiting surrounding area. Decor is very 1960's, bold colours, and when we visited very empty. Restaurant was good to have due to location but poor quality and not cheap. The same goes for breakfast, limited choice and not great quality.
There was no air-conditioning, and the fan at the ceiling did poorly in mid-July. Also the mattress was just too soft, which gave us backaches the next day.
It was booked last minute and only hotel available - this is a business hotel Need a car - too far from anywhere
We found the hotel to be very relaxing and peaceful. The staff were helpful and the food very good. The only slightly disappointing item was the Breakfast Buffet. Rather limited and unexciting.
Everything!! We had eaten at this hotel two years ago, and decided to spend a very special anniversary for one night en route to St Tropez. The room was very comfortable overlooking the beautiful gardens and swimming pool. Food was wonderful, tasty and well presented. A place to return to!
Staff was very kind. Make you feel the most important guest in the hotel. The room was clean and nice, exacty as I expected. Breakfast is too expensive.
convenience too many little things were annoying at this hotel 1) canvas chair on my terrace broke as I sat in it, should have been noticed as defective. 2) no light in closet, and closet door hard to open as bed side table in the way 3) toilet room no where near sink, hard to wash hands, 3) restaurant rather grim and food only ordinary (unusual for France) 4) poolside noisy and crowded 5) No newspapers in the morning as at all other good hotels 5) my bath tub and sink dribbled the water in and out...took 35 minutes to fill tub 6) did not clean room until 2:00PM
Staff very helpful especially reception.Food was very good aswell. Expensive for the quality of the rooms-the hotel definitely needs to be refurbished and updated. There were no lounges/sitting areas and the restaurant/swimming pool area felt very cramped.Overall very expensive. For some reason my booking (I cancelled and then rebooked at a cheaper rate) didn't reach the hotel-luckily the hotel had a room.We moved after two nights.
Away from the centre of the old city, which was packed because of the Avignon Festival. Peace and quiet with rest and relaxation by the swimming pool could be followed by a short drive into the centre and some sight seeing.
Silence, gardens and staffs Due to very weak signal reception, WIFI internet access is not available as described
This is a beautiful countryside hotel. The room, the facilities and the view were beautiful. the air conditioning was broken and while it was fixed, the overall cooling at the hotel was not working very well during all our stay. Restaurant and breakfast are very expensive
very good michelin starred restaurant, quiet location in a garden the room was charged at 170 euros whereas the booking was made at 165 euros. This was only noticed later.
