About Cafe Tu Tu Tango - Orlando

Located near the Orlando Eye and Orange County Convention Center, CAFÉ TU TU TANGO evokes a time when artists found inspiration and community in sharing food, drink and philosophy with one another. Set in a Spanish Artist's loft, the bohemian lifestyle fashioned life as a grand celebration, a feast of the senses to be shared and treasured. Together, artists found kinship over meals shared, over drink, music, and conversation. One of the things that truly makes CAFÉ TU TU TANGO unique is our menu. Not only does our scratch kitchen serve up creative fare that captures exotic flavors from around the world, but we do so with appetizer-style portions that are meant to be shared. Choose an array of dishes for your table, and let the party enjoy them communally. Experience a spectrum of the world's most tantalizing tastes together. Savor both the food and the company. This is what life is all about. Come in and join the party!

I absolutely love this restaurant. The energy is great. The food was very good and came out timely yet our drinks took a long time. The only drawback was our waitress. She was average because she rushed us to make food decisions. She acted as though she was running a marathon. I have recommended your restaurant to friends and would definitely return. I was not impressed with this experience but I have had good experience with Tu Tu Tango in the past. It was way too loud this time and halfway through our meal the server started backing off for too long. We were seated right next to the door and people were lingering all around us while we ate and we all very loudly tried to speak to one another over the noise. Some of the dishes were amazing, but others were far from good (like the cauliflower). The artist were great, as usual, but the rest made for a difficult meal. I don't know that we will be back on a Friday night - it was like they didn't know how to handle the crowd.

In town for pleasure and hard to find a non chain restaurant with food you can get back home.\nCafé Tu Tu Tango offers something different. We met some friends that live in the area and asked waitress to stager the tapas at a slower rate. We enjoyed many courses over the next two hours and enjoyed everything. We were able to oversee a few artists as well as some Spanish The menu has a large amount of choices and while we enjoyed the upscale items, I noticed a family next to us enjoying the more traditional fare with the younger children. \nWe really enjoyed our meal and thought it was reasonably priced.

The drinks need to be stronger for what you pay. I order a hand crafted vodka drink the, the glass was small and barely 3/4 full and tasted like juice. The other was all ginger beer with very little vodka. The bourbon hand crafted drink was really tasty though and plenty strong.

Went for lunch and the food was delicious. Tried a number of dishes and liked them all. Our server, however, would disappear for long periods of time and when pizza didn't come out after nearly 25 minutes with NO sign of our waitress in a restaurant with us and ONE other table, I had to grab a different waitress to assist. Will think twice about going back even though the food is very good.

Waitress Shannon was apathetic toward me and my business colleague. Shannon didn't care to engage the customer to check whether we received the correct food or refill our drinks promptly. The food was mediocre. We got to know RJ that delivered all our food, as it was his first day on the job and he did a good job very engaging. Unfortunately, RJ delivered two items that Shannon thought we ordered to Table 42 but, after repeating the order she didn't follow though on making sure the correct food goes to the correct table. So, we waited and waited for our correct food to show up. RJ apologized and made sure our 7 tapas items were delivered correctly and he cleaned off the table promptly. Shannon on the other hand was worthless in our opinion. The only reason we ate there is because, we are staying on business next door at The Castle hotel made it convenient for us to charge the meals to our room, as we mention to Shannon when we first sat down. She of course continued with her apathetic attitude and forgot so, I reminded. Had to remind her to refill drinks multiple times and she never apologized for the long wait after our first two items were wrong. Honestly RJ would make a much better Waiter than Shannon, as she has her mind elsewhere. Again our food was mediocre of ticket number 0173 Table 42 SvrChk 15 21:08 1/31/2017 for $82.01 before gratuity which we deliberately left less than 15% because, we assume Shannon get it all. Not going to reward her for the pathetic performance. We will be posting this review on TripAdvisor, OpenTable, Foodie blogs that I am a member of, etc.....

The evening started out great with our server Tony introducing himself and actually stamping his name on our towels. It was downhill from there unfortunately. Drinks took 25 minutes to get there, and were basically one giant ice cube with very little alcohol in a small glass. Tony fell in love with a table of woman and forgot he had any other tables. Our food came out intermittently and things we asked for like hot pepper for the pizza never came. Water was never refilled. Most of the food was ok, but not great at all. Plus, not one dish came out hot. Short rib tacos were so bad we couldn't eat them. When Tony finally showed back up and we let him know, his reply to us was, 'don't you know what kimchee tastes like'?!!!!\n\nWell that was about it. We got the check and were about to leave when I decided to tell the manager about our meal. She was terrific and totally got what we were saying. This said, instead of doing something about our current meal, she offered to comp us if we came back- if we lived in the area, that would be nice- but we only had two more nights in Orlando and wanted to try something different. \n\nAll in all, a terrible experience, and despite all the good reviews for this place, we found it just ok, with horrible service.

My fiancé and I were looking for a restaurant near sea world to have Sunday brunch. We found cafe tu tu tango on OpenTable and decided to go after looking over the menu. We ordered mostly from their brunch menu. The food was mediocre. Perhaps their lunch and dinner would be of a higher quality. The restaurant is in a touristy area and seemed to have a focus on quantity versus quality

Cafe Tu Tu Tango a go to favorite for us whenever we are in Orlando. The food remains consistently delicious and small plates is our favorite way to eat as it allows for such a variety of food. We always have the Chicken Corn egg rolls and Guava ribs although the Guava ribs last night were a bit spicier than we remember. This place is so much fun: it can get very noisy and raucous. Sometimes service gets a bit iffy but the food and the red sangria make up for slow service. So nice to have an independent restaurant in the heart of so many chain restaurants. Cafe Tu Tu Tango, keep up the great food.

Cafe Tu Tu Tango never ceases to amaze us. An independently owned restaurant on International Drive with consistently delicious food, good service and a truly bohemian atmosphere. Try everything here as we have, and we have never had anything we did not care for. This time the cashew crusted calamari stands out in our minds. The only problem we have with the food at Cafe Tu Tu Tango is after a few plates we are full and we get disappointed that we can't try just one more dish.

We have made this one of our nights out after the convention for a number of years now. \nWe all order at least two items individually, and then share, most of us anyway, our plates with the whole table. \nThe food is delivered in a timely matter, coming out as it is prepared, instead of all the order presented at the same time. Since we are all sampling, this method works great!\nThere is something for everyone here, even the picky eaters.....they just have to get over some of the names! Great tastes, awesome prep/presentation. \nDesserts are great too!

The food was wonderful - extremely disappointed in the service. Waitress was not attentive; waited 10/15 minutes before we were greeted, after we were greeted she did acknowledge she was facing computer issues but we now had her full attention (which it didn't seem that way). Table was overwhelmed with plates/dishes finally cleared after all food had been delivered and eaten - instead of making room for new dishes arriving. Dinner took a little over two hours never got asked if we wanted to order another round of drinks. Was there to celebrate my birthday and was pretty sadden of the overall lackluster service - saving grace was the food was delicious.

Seating for our reservation time was right on time, but seating is tight with many tables together. It was probably the loudest restaurant in which I have ever eaten-perhaps the concrete flooring? It has a very bright, colorful interior. I said it was fit for large parties because they were accommodating many large groups while we were there. The food was very innovative and tasty. Each day they have a special tapas of the day menu, in addition to the regular tapas menu. My daughter and I tried some delicious items; there was something for her vegetarian needs. But the one 'special' tapas we wanted to try never came-apparently went to another table, and then they ran out. So they were very kind to comp a wonderful dessert: the lollipops (small cheesecakes on a stick were dipped in chocolate).

It didn't stand out in any category. I chose this as a fun place to go, with artists drawing, belly dancing, and good food. What I got was ok food, and one artist that came about dessert time, who wasn't talkative or people-ative at all. ALSO. We've been going to this restaurant since it opened many years ago and have taken many family members and friends there over the years, including one surprise birthday party for me. We have always enjoyed the quirky atmosphere, food and service we've received. This time, however, we were all disappointed in the service (a waitress that almost bordered on rude, which has never happened before) and a menu that seems to be declining with each subsequent visit. Quite a shame since we always looked forward to going. There are so many places that serve tapas these days that with the competition, you would think that things would be improving rather than declining.

We found this place through Google maps and decided to go after seeing the reviews and menu. \nThey didn't do it justice. The place has a great warm atmosphere that is eclectic and artsy. \nIt was loud but that's because they had a live band that was great. \nEverything we ordered was great. Had the Florida Gator Dip that needed more chips but was very good. The Korean Wild Boar Enchiladas was a great fusion of Korean and Mexican that had some awesome heat that kept kicking even moments after eating. Also great was the Vietnamese Tacos, Dynamite Shrimp\t, and Short Rib Wraps. \nService was great, John made sure we had all we needed.

We have been dining here at least once a month for a few years now. Food is always good though the chef's specials can be a let down, and we're consistently surprised at how quickly it arrives at the table. Part of the speed of food coming out is from the multiple kitchens they have preparing the various dishes. Tu Tu Tango has a great atmosphere and is a fun dining spot. Our biggest complaint has to be the parking, as there is little to begin with then they close off most of it for valet. The valet is complimentary but if you're like us and don't want to stiff them it adds extra cost. Service has been great, but it can be a bit slow when it's very busy- which is often. Overall this is one of our favorite spots to eat.

Chips were positioned to look like a flower.\nCourse two was a shrimp dish similar to bang bang shrimp at bonefish. We prefer bang bang.\nThird was hanger steak on a skewer. Very little meat. Mine was tender. My wife said hers was chewy and full of grizzle.\nLast was strawberry and rubarb pie. We enjoyed the filling but not the crust that was made of polenta.\nOverall a good experience. Doesn't get much livelier than at Cafe TuTuTango. The upbeat Latin music gets you in the mood and the place always seems to have some activity. There was a person painting, there was a psychic reader, and a dancer who came out looking like a flapper girl with these light sticks that when moved quickly, formed images, like Elvis, the Beatles, etc.\n\nSangria was good. It's made with gin, so the taste may be a bit unusual to some people, but still very flavorful and enjoyable. We enjoyed a variety of tapas plates, including alligator bites, dynamite shrimp, guava BBQ ribs and Tuscan meatballs. Desserts were good as well. The best part is that you can order a couple to start, and they bring them out when they are ready, so you can order more if you want more. Service was friendly and fast.

A bit of a snafu in that Open Table emailed and said we failed to keep our reservation, apparently restaurant marked us as no show. A bit of annoyance, but we straightened it out. We visit Orlando several times a year, and visit TuTu Tango on everyone of our trips. It is our favorite restaurant in Orlando. The atmosphere is fun with great art to entertain you. The belly dancer who we discovered now can breath fire is always a hit with our crowd, especially my Dad. Haha. We haven't tried anything bad yet. Definitely get a bottle of sangria for the table. Our favorite so far is the peach. Stand outs for food include the pear salad (it's really a pear on a cookie with lettuce on top, but call it a salad so you can feel healthy), the beef skewers, the empanadas and the egg rolls, and any of the flatbreads. One downside on our visit this week was parking. They now have complementary valet that takes up all spots around the restaurant. This would be great, except they had one guy parking and a long line waiting to be parked or to pick up cars. It was impossible to get around the line of cars to self park in back. And the valet wouldn't just let us park ourselves in the at least 20 open spots around restaurant deemed 'valet only.' Huge pain. My dad even said, I'll give you 5 bucks just to let me park my car and go in. This policy needs to be revisited by the restaurant. We will be back. Great restaurants.

Original idea, specially for Orlando which needs more places like this.\nThe food I understand it's the result of a mixture of everything can be improved ... Idea is good , needs more healthy options and be polished for example (I'm sure there is other way to present the gator more than fried) and for example the enchiladas were nice but not amazing as the description which included even 'Kimchi' so I said wow! But after eating it was just good and delicious but not special to remember. Service was nice the waiter very friendly and sociable but forgetful which didn't matter bcs of his nice disposition but also could be better.\nThe venue nice lights and atmosphere but in some spots it was smelling like pipes oddor of food in decomposition (I really don't know exactly) but I felt in some areas a bad smell and I related it with just poor cleaning.

You know all this already - Tu Tu Tango is the high point of Orlando casual dining. We're there every couple of months when we're visiting The Mouse, for conventions, flying out of MCO (7 miles away), whatever excuse we can make up. We love it.\n\nThis trip we had the grilled romaine (yep), bruschetta (meh), Korean chicken (YEP!), sloppy sliders (YEP), hummus (yep), Cuban sliders (meh), pepperoni pizza (YEP). Even the most unfavorite dish was better than the same dish elsewhere. The banana bread pudding was ridiculous - large enough for four of us, and fabulous. The creme brulee was just as good, and enough to share. There are enough malty beverages on draft to keep this hop-head happy.\n\nThere was a group of 35 (!) soccer kids and parents who managed to shoehorn themselves in. Even so, the noise level was not so loud as to preclude conversation. Our server was, as always, great.\n\nThe only downside of any review I make of Tu Tu Tango is that they no longer have an Atlanta location. Whine, whimper.\n\nIn short, go!

If you are seeking a vibrant and different scene try Cafe Tu Tu Tango. It's extremely loud with dancers, loud music, artists sitting around working on pieces for sale, and just a vibrant scene. The service was good, quick and attentive. The food was good, some dishes much better than others but overall not what the previous reviews hyped it up to be. It's worth a try as its different and a cool experience!

s and are never disappointed! This time, we had Jo as our server. She was amazing; we loved her. Very friendly with our little one and very good at her job! She handled a large party at the same time as us and didn't miss a beat. She was more than happy to take care of us with patience and didn't make us feel rushed, even though she was clearly busy. I would actually be disappointed if we went back and didn't have her as our server again. Thanks for a great meal, Jo!

Well, after reading the good reviews, was quite excited to take my party there for our reservation at 8 PM. When we arrived, we were told that 'the table before hasn't left yet, and there's nothing we can do'. So we awkwardly stood in the front of the restaurant while servers kept trying to run us over, and the hostesses did their best to ignore us for 45 min until only by passive aggressively standing in front of the hostess desk did someone start working a bit faster. No free appetizers or drinks, no anything to make up for the wait. My friend is vegan and they brought him a lot of nacho chips, but were sold out of one of the two things he could eat, and didn't exactly offer him anything different.. Just more nacho chips.. Food was okay and reasonably priced, but would not recommend this place to anyone as they just don't seem to care. At all.

Really nice restaurant. About as far from being a chain as possible, with some entertainment and really good food. Our service person, Emile, was delightful. And as we placed ourselves in his hands, brought us a great feast to accommodate people who didn't eat shellfish, chicken, and pork. The only difficulty is the noise level that prevented a table of five from being able to hear who was at the other end. But even with that, this was a really fun place.

We enjoy coming to Cafe Tu Tu Tango but this time the hostess was super rude! We visited on June 1st, 2016 and it was raining pretty hard. I forgot my phone in my car and I needed to get it since we were meeting family for the very first time. I saw hostess and said 'excuse me' and her reply was 'what?.' I looked at her and proceeded to open the back door and getting my phone. \n\nI made reservations over the phone and on opentable.com because the person whom I spoke to on the phone sounded lost. On Wednesday I received a phone from Cafe Tu Tu Tango confirming my reservation. \n\nSo, we were seated waiting on my family to show up and the hostess attempted to seat strangers on our reserved table because she figured we were all there. I told her that the party wasn't complete and she just walked away without saying a word or even apologizing. \n\nReally bad experience; whether the hostess was new or having a bad day something needs to be done and re-train her again.\n\nDisappointed

I ate at this restaurant twice for lunch during a convention week and found it quite eclectic and fun. The food choices were varied and tapas-like and the food was served hot and tasty. The service, however, left a lot to be desired. My side-dish was incorrect and I waited more than twenty minutes for the correct one. Further, I waited more than twenty minutes after requesting my check and another fifteen minutes for my credit card to be processed. The restaurant was not busy at the time. This was my first time going to the restaurant... We went for dessert after dinner at another restaurant. Luckily we made reservations and the restaurant seemed awfully packed yet when I walked in I saw lots of dirty tables, including the one where we sat. We walked in and were greeted by a host and asked if we could maybe be seated outside, he laughed and said no honey those people are paying 10 times more than what you're paying, hmm ok found that to be slightly offensive and not accommodating- why have outdoor tables and not be able to offer them? The desserts were great, I ordered the adult root beer float which was yummy but too sweet for me personally. I saw online a huge list of desserts and coffee drinks they had, yet when we got there some of them weren't on the menu. The restaurant was awfully loud which was good that they were busy but I personally wasn't looking for such a loud atmosphere. Also our table was under an air vent and we froze the entire time while we were there... I would've asked for a new table but the host seemed so tight on tables I didn't want to ask. Overall would probably go again but maybe not on such a busy night.

Mother's day 2016 was an absolute disaster. I had reservations at 1045 for brunch and was seated quickly. At that time, the place was still near empty. That was when everything took a turn for the worse. The concept is great; 3 kitchens where the food comes out of, so keep ordering. By 11am I ordered the Crab Omelet and at 12pm it finally came out. One hour for a depressing looking omelet that I could have made in <10 minutes. The bacon at the mimosa/blood mary bar was more appealing than the cold, near-raw bacon that came out about 50 minutes after we ordered. I was so disgusted by the lack of service, that when the food finally arrive, I could not bring myself to eat it. Three kitchens? And not one of them could turn out an omelet in <15 minutes? Cold, raw bacon? Even a microwave could produce properly cooked bacon in <5 minutes. \n\nThe waitress did all she could to make our experience somewhat enjoyable. Obviously it was not her fault and she did a great job trying to keep up informed of the progress. Unfortunately, it was too little to late. \n\nMy check was comp'd, but is that really the point? It was mother's day. I drove 50 miles to eat here and left with only consuming 1 cup of coffee. \n\nI will never come back. And I will never recommend anyone 'eat' here.

Five of us went and ordered a variety of appetizers to share and as you share you can continue to add more until you are satisfied. We had drinks from the bar and had great desserts. Our server was friendly and gave us great service. Any time we are in Orlando we will go back to Cafe TU TU Tango

This has always been one of my favorite places to go if I just want to have a fun time with friends and family. Last night was a disappointment. They tried to seat us at a non-well added table in a corner in the middle of a mess. After some hesitation from the hostess, we were moved to a different table. We got the same server I had last time I was there with my family. He was fantastic that time but he seemed way to occupied with the rest of his tables to have the time to take care of us after taking the order. The portion size of the dynamite shrimp was much smaller than before. Flavors of the flatbread and shrimps were great. We were extremely disappointed with the lamp tacos, noise level and the desserts menu. The amazing banana bread pudding isn't longer on the menu.

I simply love this restaurants and come back whenever I'm in town. The food is always good. I haven't tried anything bad on the menu. The local art and entertainment is fun also. It's not too far from anything when I'm in on business. And it's really easy on your budget. It's a gem!!

We love this place ... The food is amazing ... Perfect for sharing.\n\nWe love sharing with friends but big groups actually gave a real impact on the folks around you. \n\nI am sure that like everything else they do a great job with the 12 person group that was next to us ... But this simply isn't a big group place. The tables are tight together and intimate. \n\nTells your friends ... Share the love in small bites ... Just like the menu.

I don't normally write on things like this and always try to be positive. My family and I were excited to show friends from Los Angeles a great time in Orlando. We drove into the city because we found a review on Cafe Tu Tu Tango and thought it sounded perfect. We loved the wall decor and even though it was 'buzzing' on a Friday night, we were looking forward to trying something new. While we were seated quickly, our table was located under a large speaker (pointed directly at us). We couldn't talk to each other without shouting. It was stressful for us to sit there. We couldn't wait to finish and leave so we could catch up somewhere else. There were belly dancers, who were talented, but the music was even louder during that time, which made it impossible to enjoy our meal. The food was interesting and tasty but each dish was not enough to share with five at the table. I wish we were told this when we ordered, and we may have, but we couldn't hear our waitress. We left, after spending a good bit of money for not much food and found another place where we could talk and get a bit more to eat. It should be warned that it is not a place to socialize - but rather to watch, at least in the section we were seated in and at the time (8 - 9pm). I hope the noise level was better elsewhere in the restaurant. I was sad for our LA guests. Our table and the surrounding tables shouldn't be located there under the speaker. They should consider repositioning the speaker elsewhere, or have multiple speakers around the building so they don't have to be so loud. I wouldn't wish sitting at our table for anybody. It was a disappointing and miserable evening at Cafe Tu Tu Tango ......

We had setup reservation for 7:30 pm for a party of 7. I called an hour earlier to see if we could come in earlier but they said they were booked, but did confirm they would seat us promptly at 7:30 pm. Upon our arrival, there was a 'company party' of some sort that was in the bar and lounge area running throughout the restaurant, it was loud noisy and disturbing. After waiting 30 minutes , 8 pm, the manager offered us a free appetizer of chips and spinach dip. My kids tried it and the dip was frozen, terrible. At this point we decided to leave and went to Charley's Steakhouse without reservation, they sat us in 5 minutes and proceeded to give us the best meal of our lives at Charley's Steakhouse...

I lived in Orlando for years, but am now in New York City. Anytime I'm in Orlando, Cafe TuTu Tango is a must-visit. The tapas-style dining is fantastic for foodies wanting to try a myriad of delights. The decor is always beautiful, as it is all created by local artists (and a bonus is that you can purchase artwork to take home with you)!! The only downside (for locals, mostly), is that it is located smack-dab in the middle of tourist-ville, but making the trek to dreaded I-Drive is worth it! Will continue to go back!!

Usually love Cafe Tu Tu Tango. We still had a wonderful time, but usually the food takes some time to come to the table. Gives you a moment to enjoy and talk. For Valentine's Day -- it was packed (should've known). We were seated quickly, but it seemed to take forever to be greeted. We chose the planned menu for couples and added some extra drinks and orders. The food on the planned menu all came out at once, really quickly, but was cold and messy. One of the food runners actually apologized that the 'plate was prettier, but a skewer fell.' They kept the food waiting for a new steak skewer and the corn and sweet potatoes got cold. One of the skewers (the replacement) was under cooked and the rest were room temperature. We felt rushed the whole meal. No plates or silverware on table. Waited for drink reorders. Wrong day to go. Our server had too many tables and seemed frazzled.

I have been here before and it did not disappoint again. The food is great, just be aware that the menu is all tapas. For the area and the atmosphere, Tu Tu is a great value. The only issue we had while we were there, was that the drinks arrived after the food. I would consider this a small missed detail. Beyond this one thing, everything else made for a perfect date night with my girlfriend.

After making an Open Table reservation, TuTu Tango refused to seat our party. We were stuck in traffic on I-4 in Olrando (apparently notorious for traffic) and I called the restaurant. I can even include a screen shot of the call and the time I made it. Yes, it was Valentine's Day and yes, we were a six top of men (who would have consumed a lot of food and beverage, but when the first two of the party got to the restaurant, they were refused service. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR BREAKING THE 'CONTRACT' OF AN OPEN TABLE RESTAURANT RESERVATION. When I called, they could have said something like; 'We're so busy tonight, we just can't hold your table for an other 10 minutes.' or something. Or, since they had my number the restaurant could have called me and apologized that that they couldn't have kept the table for us. I would understand. But to REFUSE to seat a legitimate reservation, is an unconscionable act of a poor restaurant. If they can't keep a reservation, they can't be doing many other things good either. \r\n\r\nDO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. THEY DON'T HONOR RESERVATIONS

I came here as a valentines dinner between my wife, mother, and her husband. This was not my first time here. The receptionist (guy) was a bit weird and awkward and made us all feel uncomfortable. It was as if he was trying to be too personable. We did not have to wait long to get our table. The wait staff Ameal and the other girl were pretty good. It was odd how midway through our meal our waiter switched. Ameal was great as a waiter and did everything asked of him. The chick that he traded us off to wasn't bad, just a bit slower with service. The Valentines Menu did not include any of the food I went there to eat so I ordered from the regular menu. My group was there celebrating a wedding and engagement so we were disappointed at the lack of champagne options on the menu; as champagne is meant for celebrations. All in all it was not a bad experience; and, I would not only go again but would also recommend to others.

As a Open Table VIP member I don't write negative reviews lightly or without reason. In this case I think a negative review is necessary to give the restaurant management a chance to make some necessary changes or they will see their current popularity plummet (thought they are in a very transient tourist area so they will get one timers).\n\nThe problem started with a rude and obnoxious host (he was the only male working the area at that time - the rest were women). I wish I got his name but he shouldn't be working the host station or dealing with any customers - WORST customer service I have see in 30+ years of dining out.\n\nIt was obvious they were trying to close and were herding diners into one area even though there were plenty of tables available. We were put at a table by the restrooms and a service station. We were told he could move us to a different table but the service would't be good - a pretty odd explanation and that he would seat his family at our table! He was condescending and argumentative. I would have walked out if we didn't have group of 8 guests with us.\n\nUnfortunately that set a pretty negative environment for the rest of the Dinner but I tried to keep an open mind:\n\n- Server - our server did his best to make us comfortable but it was still slow and average \n- Food - was just OK - I wasn't impressed with the Shrimp & Grits or the Alligator bites or the Empanadas - just average and something you could get in the frozen food sections that would be just as good\n- Gypsy fortune teller was popular and they have some interesting folk artists but that's not what I went there for.\n\nMy recommendation is to avoid unless you want to have your fortune told while eating average food - lot's of other alternatives in the area.

Had a great meal here with my fiancé. The atmosphere was fun and vibrant. The walls are covered in art you can actually buy! The servers are very friendly and attentive and the food came out super fast even though the restaurant was packed. \nThe reason i didn't give this restaurant 5* is mainly the quality of food and the price. The plates are small and quite expensive for the portion size. And of course they recommend that you buy at least two each.. So this works out to be at least $20 a head for quite average food. But it was a fun place and the drinks were generous so we were happy!

I always enjoy the food at Cafe Tutu Tango but this time we had to deal with 2 rude hosts on friday 5th. \nFirst the girl would not seat us because all the party wasnt here(7 out of 12), and she even said the table was ready. So I guess Tutu Tango prefer having people standing in the front doing nothing while you could have them drinking and ordering food. And when you insit because my wife is pregnant and hungry, she accepts and give you this rude attitude and points at the table from distance. If she is not happy she should change work. Dont forget that costumers pay you. \nAnd the other host just looks at you smilling and makes fun about you waiting standing in the middle. Great costumer care. \nBesides that the food is good and the drink delicious.

The portions were ridiculously small for the price point. Yes I understand it is a tapas restaurant. I've been to many others so I know what tapas are, but we spent over $150 and we all left still hungry. The food quality was also bad. The ribs barely had any meat and were over cooked. We used to come here all the time and the food was great. Now the prices went up but the portions and quality went down down down. We will never eat here again.

The servings were what was expected with enough for the three plates to fill us up and still bring some home. \n\nI did find the seating a little uncomfortable as they were tall and were difficult for my husband to get in and out of. If using a cane or walker make sure to ask for appropriate seating.

When we were searching for places to eat in Orlando everything south of downtown was chain restaurants which is not surprising as it is mostly a Disney crowd, but we kept searching online for someone to recommend a non-chain where we could take the kids. Wow, did we find it! The staff was amazingly attentive. It felt like our server was dedicated to only our table. He helped us choose from among the super yummy menu (b/c we really wanted to try EVERYTHING) and always refilled our drinks before we even realized we needed more. I can't wait to get back to Cafe TuTu Tango so we can try the things on the menu we didn't order.

I love going to Cafe Tu Tu Tango. The menu always has some interesting options to offer. It's the first place that crossed my mind when my Mom asked for tapas for her birthday dinner with the family. It's a great place for dates, family visits and even kids. I was surprised how well my 3 year old did and they were very accommodating when I was so busy ordering tapas that I forgot to order his hot dogs. The hot dogs made it very quickly. Service was great. Our desert even came with a candle so we could sing Happy Birthday. Never disappointed with my experience here.

I first want to thank the incredible staff for assisting me in setting up a table for a large party. Due to a party of 18, some people showed up a bit late and I was worried that I would lose my reservation. I was pleasantly pleased with the hostess who pushed back our reservation time (which means a lot, seeing how the restaurant is on iDrive and has no shortage of people wanting to dine here) and easily accomodated us once the entire party arrived. Once we were seated, the server promptly took our orders and brought out our food and was incredibly pleasant. Food was great too. Loved everything about this place!

We go to Cafe Tu Tu Tango every time we head to Orlando. It is a vibrant restaurant with interesting food, and an amazing artistic atmosphere. If you enjoy Tapas style dining, you will be pleased with the menu variety, and portion size. For 2 hungry people, usually 4-5 plates will more than satisfy. My personal recommendations: the poached pears, picadillo Empanidas, and sesame steak skewers. But, everything is delicious, so you can't go wrong.

Fun restaurant but the noise level was too high to sit inside and have a conversation with friends. We moved to the outside patio which didn't have the artists but was nice. Food was enjoyed by all in our party. The ribs were wonderful as was the pizza. Our empanadas were too spicy-hot (and we weren't warned by the server.)They were also overcooked. Our deserts, crem brulee, cheesecake pops, and dipped strawberries were fabulous.

Luv this place, for the service, the ambiance, the cool vibe with local artists selling & working their magic inside. Great fun. Pricey, if you really add it up & break down the bill divided by the amount of people at the table. We went the other night, with 6 adults & 2 kids. The bill was $180 + tip, total of $210! The kids didn't eat so if you do the math, it equates to $35 per person. I can go anywhere & get a real full entree for that. Fun place, for a 1 time occasion & for a snack only. Don't go there hungry. HINT: Wed is wine down & select bottles are only $15!

Café Tu Tu has been one of our favorites for years and is still a place we enjoy going to both with and without the kids. It's lively atmosphere with hula hoop dancers, fire eaters, or belly dancers and active artists enriches the experience. The noise level is too high for my liking as we could barely hear each other or our waitress upon last visit. However, Jo, our waitress was refreshingly well versed in the menu, energetic, and fun. We have noticed over the years that the flavor of their dishes have decreased in boldness. This could be as a result of their location in the tourist district in an effort to appeal to the most common of palettes but this is just a guess. However, the large variety of options and flavors are still creative, delicious, and moderately priced for tapas style dishes.

So it's a Mediterranean... artsy... tapas... place? I was very confused by what the owners were aiming for in this place, but I still had a good time. The restaurant/cafe advertises local artists' works, which are for sale. I really enjoyed that aspect of this establishment. The food, however, confused me. There were some Mediterranean items on the menu, but also some Spanish-inspired dishes. Tapas are usually for sharing, but the portions were large enough for a meal for one. Oh and let's not forget the belly dancer that danced around the tables... to contemporary music. Finally, for dessert, we decided to take a leap of faith and try the chocolate calzone (?!?). A little too much dough, but still delicious. The creme brulee was cold but still decent.\n\nLike I said, I was confused by the menu, the ambience, and the portion sizes... but it doesn't mean I wouldn't try it again!

The food, as always, perfect. They're jalapeño macaroni & cheese is addictive, their goat cheese timbale (a cheese & dried fruit dip) is creamy & refreshing & you have got to try their shrimp & grits! We also tried a new fresh berries dish off their Mother's Day brunch menu. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries & blackberries with lemon cream anglaise (between pudding & ice cream) & whipped cream. Bright, creamy, subtle & absolutely delicious. \nThe ambiance is incredible with art from local artists covering the walls. Throughout the day & night, some of the artists will work right there in the restaurant & they always have some kind of live entertainment from mariachi bands to belly dancers to jazz groups. \nVery unlike anywhere we usually go, Cafe Tu Tu Tango is one of the most unique dining experiences I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Even if you go just once, it's absolutely worth it.

Got to location at 10:30p on a Friday. The ambiance was good and was nothing special from any other Tapas Bar that I have been to. This was my second time a the Café and I will tell you that the food quality was not consistent (some food came out cold, not the same quality), service was average, I had to always prompt our server for refills, food that was not brought out towards the end of our visit...), and lastly the ambiance was dull for a Friday night. We have dined at Cafe Tu Tu Tango a few times now and the food is always perplexing. We get a dish that is wonderful, then we get a dish that isn't so good. The food is very inconsistent each time we eat here. We have returned a few times just because we love the atmosphere. We celebrated my wife's 40th Birthday at Cafe Tu Tu Tango with a group of about 10 people. Made a reservation about four days before, and when we were arrived were promptly seated. There is local art throughout the restaurant creating a cool and unique place to eat. The menu was the right size - not so many choices that it is overwhelming, but enough where each person could order 3-4 tapas and there are no repeats. I had the Cajun Spring Rolls, the Carrot Cake, the Mexican Street Corn, the Chorizo del Fuego and my wife had Empanadas and Cuban Sliders - everything we ate was good. The environment was a little bit loud with music playing periodically - but an immersive experience is kind of the point. Definitely a fun, yummy and well-priced place to eat for folks who avoid corporate chain restaurants and try to eat local.

We are always in Awe that Cafe Tu Tu Tango is an independently owned restaurant in the middle of restaurant chain craziness. It's noisy, loud, wild and fun with the best sangria ever. If you do not like sharing food, this may not be a spot for you. Our favorites always change when we eat here. This time we loved the guava ribs followed by skewered sesame steak, chicken corn egg rolls ( a consistent favorite for us) and feta cheese olives. The fish tacos were OK, but a tad strong smelling And was our least favorite dish this time around. I must note we were 45 minutes late for our reservation, but we called twice with our traffic progress and they could not have been nicer. There was also a ceiling leak at the end of the meal. I've taken many people here over the last few years and it continues to be a great place to impress people that haven't seen it before, not to mention, it's still one of my favorite go to spots for a fun night out. The menu changes fairly regularly so there is usually something new to try. The food is consistent and presentation is typically very nice. Everything is served tapas style and comes out of one of the four kitchens at a fairly reasonable pace. The noise level changes depending on when you are there. If you are bothered by a lively environment with live entertainment and people engaging with them, avoid the later evenings, however that's part of the fun of this place. I've seen Flamenco dancers, belly dancers, fire eaters, and various other entertainers showcasing their talents as they move from table to table. There are usually painters there creating new works of art to add to the scores of pieces already on the walls, all available for you to purchase right there. I've found that with almost everyone I've brought here, the cheesecake lollipops are almost always a guaranteed hit to finish the meal.

I recently went to Tu Tu Tango with a group of girlfriends and it was great. We went expecting to get happy hour deals but those were only for the bar and outside area whereas we had a table inside the restaurant so no deals for us. But that didn't matter much because we all shared about 8-9 menu items (between 6 girls) and a pitcher of sangria and the checks were each around $25. The food was excellent (the Southwest Flatbread and Guacamame were my favorites). The decor was fun with local artists' work hanging all around for sale and they have artist work inside the restaurant at times too. I'd recommend this place and would visit again. Parking is complimentary valet (still have to tip) but you can park behind the valet area for free self parking.

This was absolutely one of my favorite places to go in orlando and has always been a great place to take visitors. The last couple times I have been there the chefs 'specials ' were not special. Mostly they are bland, greasy leftovers thrown together. Not sure if they have a new chef but make sure you stick to the regular menu. The portion sizes have also gotten noticeably smaller. Over a year ago they implemented 'free'valet parking even though parking was never a problem. This turns out to really be you waiting in line to have someone back your car out of a parking space that is right in front of you while reminding you they work for tips. Overall still a decent experience but has lost its edge over others in the area.

Been there about 8 times in last 5 years. Know what to expect. I take a group of high school culinary students with me once a year at our annual food competition. They always request to come back. This past time, went at 5:30 pm Friday evening with the students. Table was ready (Made reservations). Just very dark. Wait staff did not want to put lights up due to mgt policy. Hard to read menu. Guests requiring vegetarian and fish meals were served pork tacos (ordered fish tacos). They could not see and wait staff not very attentive or informative that night. Probably will try new place next year. Just okay experience this time.

Normally one wants quick restaurant service, but for tapas, I prefer a bit of time to enjoy each separate food offering. We had an early reservation (6:00 PM on a Sunday). The restaurant was not at all busy yet, although it was filled by the time we left. With four people, we ordered two items each and they came out very close together. The table ended up overly filled with plates even though the server was diligent in removing empty items when she could. At one pint, four or five items were delivered at the same moment. We felt in a rush to consume the items while they were hot and fresh. Other than too quick service, which is a rather unusual thing to consider as negative, everything was excellent. The item voted favorite by all four of us was the goat cheese timbale (whipped goat cheese with, arugula and nuts covered with a balsamic glaze with toasted parmesan baguette slices)

Cafe Tu Tu Tango is definitely a fun experience, but I'd give a little advice when you go there. If you ordering a bunch of food (which I'd say get a a couple small plates per person), then order only a couple items at a time. It's true Orlando-Tourist-Style...turn and burn, so they want you to order all at once. But, we did that...and EVERYTHING came out at once. It felt like marathon eating, versus being able to relax a little bit and enjoy the food. So, The food was great...lots of interesting options. So, you want to savor it a bit. So, take off the running shoes and try to walk through the experience, by slowing the ambush of food to a bit slower pace. Unless you are in a hurry...then, you may want more of the fast lane experience. Either way, I'd recommend it. The decor is funky, great energetic vibe, which matches the eclectic menu. I would visit again, but I will definitely slow the pace.

This place has every type of food your imagination would want and the bar list enough to quench anyones thirst. We got a reservation via the internet and our timing was perfect.... within an hour it was packed but yet you never waited for anything to arrive at your table.\nAt the very end of our dinner the entertainment 'Fire' guy came out.... music set the tone and it was quite enjoyable.

This is my 3rd time dining at Cafe Tu Tu and while the food and ambiance were both good, the service lacked. It wasn't bad service, just wasn't great. The server didn't check in and forgot our drinks. The food was good - we had a variety of things of course. The moroccan chicken was good, dynamite shrimp and santa fe eggrolls were all good. The hisbiscus 'kiss' martini was yummy. Prices were fair, portion sizes range depending on the dish you order.

They have changed several items on their menu and the new versions aren't nearly as good as the former items (i.e. the chimichurri steak, poached pears). The the new cut of steak was so tough it was almost inedible. For the second time in a row, we have had reservations and still had to wait to get a table. Last time, we waited over an hour (with a reservation). This time it is was a mere 20 minutes, but the kicker was that the table was open the entire time! Then, we were a group of 10 and they tried to seat us by pushing two four tops together. There was a third four top right next to us that was empty, but the server had to go back to the hostess and ask if we could use it. Utterly ridiculous. My husband hates their services, but I am always the one to drag us back because the food is always good, but now bad food with bad service, I would be dragging him any more.

For a chain, they have decent tapas (good not great) at enough of a level that I would return. It's pricey ($80 with tip for 6 tapas and 1 beer) but they seated me quickly, there are a lot of staff and they are attentive. Portion size also decent for tapas although very bread heavy.\n\nWorth remembering for future visit.

Cafe Tu Tu Tango is one of my favorite restaurants in Orlando because its theme is so unique. It's slogan is 'food for the starving artist,' and the whole restaurant is like a gallery. All the paintings on the wall are for sale so you are encourages to walk about the restaurant to look at all the paintings and sculptures. They generally have some sort of artist or artisan painting inside the restaurant as well. If you go at the right time in the evenings, you will also catch some live musicians/dancers performing around the restaurant. Therefore, if you're looking for a quiet place to dine for the evening you might want to go else where.\n\nThe tables and chairs are all unique as well. My favorite table is the large one in the back. Two large logs at each side with different chair backs. It gives it a very unique look. The tables are set up with lots of dishes and silverware in large pots (resembling paintbrushes). This is because they encourage you to share all the dishes with everyone in the party. All the food comes out as each kitchen station prepares it, so not all the food you order will arrive at the table as soon as you order it.\n\nYou can't go wrong with any dish here. Some of my favorites are the Goat Cheese Timbale, Roma Tomato and Goat Cheese Flatbread, Oriental Marinated Steak Skewers, Cuban Sliders, Picadillo Empanadas, and most importantly the Chocolate Dipped Cheesecake Lollipops. I think I may have mentioned the entire menu but that goes to show how good all their food is. You have the opportunity to try many different plates.\n\nThe service at this restaurant has always been exceptional as well. There is complimentary valet parking available at the entrance for you. The servers always ask if it is your first or return visit. They do a great job of explaining the kitchen structure and the concept of the restaurant. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant whether you live in Orlando or are just visiting.

My husband and I made a reservation for a rare intimate date night. The restaurant was half empty, but for some reason the hostess took us to a high top in the lounge. I felt awkward asking to be moved, but we did so before ordering. Despite numerous other tables being opened, she took us to one that was directly next to a large group that was doing one of those painting nights out. That actually looked kind of cool, so for a night out with the girls or something like that, I would recommend. But people kept coming over and hovering literally inches from our table and discussing the painting party loudly, like we weren't sitting there trying to enjoy a meal. So much for a romantic dinner just the two of us! The food was bland and overpriced. $60 in apps and 2 beers later, we headed over to Yard House and had a much better date! I almost felt like the hostess was being catty by placing us at the second table for asking to be moved from the bar area. Why did I bother making a reservation in the first place? Unfortunately I won't be going back. Unless it's for a painting party :)

I usually prefer a quiet dinner with one or two friends, but when I go out in a group, I'm looking for a high energy place with great presentation. From the moment you arrive at Tu Tu Tango, you know you're in for a good experience starting with the complimentary valet parking. Inside, the walls, floors, and ceilings are vibrant with color and random art. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I love the tapas style menu. Each person in our party of twelve ordered two dishes and they arrived from the kitchen in a steady stream of deliciousness. Each dish was a great combination of flavors. From the bar, I highly recommend the jalapeno margarita. Everyone had a wonderful time eating and watching the spontaneous entertainment. The noise level is a bit high, but I expect that when dining in a place that provides fun along with the food. People tend to get a little noisy when they're celebrating and there's nothing wrong with that.

What an exceptional find in Orlando! The interior is vibrant and very interesting, and the server was friendly and very knowledgeable about the many menu offerings. Food was OUTSTANDING!! and perfecting sized for sharing. I visited with 2 friends and we shared the Meditteranean appetizer, the fantastic olive appetizer (small serving but excellent!), and the Guacamame which was good...but really just tasted like a nice Hummus. To fully appreciate Cafe Tu Tu Tango, one must know every dish on the menu. A few are excellent; however, others are mediocre. Interestingly, the wait staff recommends mediocre offerings. On my last visit, the waiter suggested the Spicy Alligator Bites. Having tried them on a previous visit, we avoided them; however, when we did try them we found them to be not spicy and with too much breading. Why they are recommended must have something to do with a profit factor for the establishment. On the current visit, Pork Bellies were the recommendation. We found them to be blah! In support, we would highly recommend the Black Bean Soup and the Chimichuri Steak. Another caveat would be that the place gets expensive quickly. The dishes are over-priced, in our opinion, for the portion size. As a result, running up the tab is easy. Finally, on both visits, certain menu items were unavailable, even though we dined early. The servers are quite good and easy to communicate with.

We were in town for a conference and after looking at what restaurants were nearby our hotel, we selected Cafe Tu Tu Tango. We made a reservation for 8:15 PM as a friend warned us that the wait the night before was about 1 hour. The *only* negative of our evening was the wait, even with the reservation. While we did not get seated for about 40 minutes, the manager and wait staff were extremely apologetic. Upon being seated, the manager immediately came over to our table to apologize and offer us drinks. The rest of the night was great. Delicious tapas that were perfect for sharing, yummy drinks, and a great atmosphere. There were two local artists nearby our table working (all of their art and other pieces from local artists displayed around were available for sale), a woman reading tarot cards at a table nearby, and a belly dancer every hour-ish. The prices were reasonable too. Despite how busy the restaurant was, we never felt rushed. We ended up ordering a few plates at a time. The food came out quickly and the wait staff was very attentive in between. We really enjoyed the fish tacos, steak skewers, and empanadas. Would definitely return.

As always, Cafe Tu Tu Tango was an extremely popular and busy place. There was a constant flow of people, entertainment and service staff. The sparkling sangria was a hit. All of our small plates were very well prepared and quite tasty. The lone negative was one of our small plate orders required several reminders and follow-ups before it was delivered to our table. Sequence wise, the missing item create a slight gap between orders. Nevertheless, when it did finally arrive, we were able to enjoy it.
