Pros: Fantastic rural setting with great views. The room was clean and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and gave us a full tour of their stunning property. Breakfast was very tasty with fresh ingredients from their garden. We will definitely be back!
Pros: The peaceful countryside & lifestyle block were lovely. There were several hikes in the area. The accommodations were functional, clean, & comfortable.
Cons: While the Hosts were lovely people, be prepared to have a lengthy breakfast conversation. Although we enjoyed the peacefulness, we couldn't find anywhere close to go out for a meal, in hindsight we should have taken advantage of the microwave instead.
Pros: Great place in the country side, great walks and friendly hosts
Pros: Nicely tucked away in a rural setting close to native bush walks with the accommodation alongside the main house, but separate. Welcoming and friendly hosts.
Pros: The hosts were great and informitive . The breakfast was really tasty with the freshest eggs ever. It was great to get away from the city for a while .
Cons: It was all good
Pros: Comfy bed. Excellent breakfast with homemade and homegrown ingredients. Friendly hosts to chat with over breakfast. Very nice walk from the property to lookout and falls.
Cons: A table on verandah would be useful. A bigger fridge would also be useful, to give an option to eat in/on verandah e.g to store salad, microwave meal,as well as drinks...for longer stays, especially as restaurants/cafes and shops are a half hour drive away.

Cons: A good soap dispenser in the shower would be a nice addition.
Pros: The foods and drinks in the fridge were a lovely surprise. The house was great, boardgames and tv for the kids, spacious with everything we needed.
Pros: Very nice owners. Location is perfect if you would like to go to Tauranga city or Maclaren falls/animal park. Will recommend to stay!

Cons: Parking was at a premium. Full ...
Cons: There was no one to let me in on the sight it accepted a late check in When I arrived there was no one to do the check in. I better not get charged
Pros: Clean, comfortable and big rooms. Don’t pay extra for room with balcony. Useless. Swimmingpool is beautiful but small and in the shade all day. City centre is on walking distance.
Cons: We had diner in the restaurant on Friday. Because of a private party on Saturday, almost all tables were taken out. Didn’t look very nice. Price was unchanged though
Pros: We stayed at room 233 and view was amazing managed to see sunrise every morning over taraunga harbor....
Cons: Didn't like the shower just found it awkward to get in and out of....
With a stay at City Suites Tauranga, you'll be centrally located in Tauranga, within a 15-minute drive of ASB Baypark and The Elms Mission House. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: I loved everything about the room, the service, staff, and location, breakfast is always hot and scrumptious. I use City Suites because its perfect for when I'm on business
Cons: They was booked out
Pros: Location and comfortable
Pros: Great situation, clean, friendly staff, good parking, spacious rooms, good lighting, everything works.
Cons: It’s a little tired.
Pros: Close to town and the waterfront. Main rugby field across road, fantastic service, hearty breakfast... My husband and I love it... Thank you
Pros: The room was nice and spacious. Clean The deck was well secured for kids. Comfy beds, sky TV, great location.
Cons: A little noisy, the vent in the bathroom wasnt working very well. And the carpark underneath the building was smelly. Not very nice to walk in and out of.
Pros: We loved everything, and as tour owner operators we definitely will be sharing our awesome experience with other local operators and travellers. Nga mihi nui (a huge thank you)
Pros: The room was clean and modern. The location was close to town. The host was super friendly and helpful with suggestions for places to go for dinner.
Cons: The room had no view, but we didn’t really need it as we were in and out very quickly...we just needed a place to rest our weary heads.
With a stay at Hotel Armitage and Conference Centre, you'll be centrally located in Tauranga, within a 15-minute drive of ASB Baypark and Robbins Park. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: They left a good amount of those little milk pod things in the mini fridge (6) so that's a plus. The hotels had a refreshing revamp. The cleaners use Henry the hoover vacuums which were a delight to see in the halls. There room service menu was well priced but could be updated.
Cons: We paid for a room with a spa bath which didn't work, when letting the clerk at the desk know she said she would try look at it. Came back that evening and it still wasn't working so asked to be compensated, which was to overly complicated for the staff to actually agree to due to there being no manager on on the weekends. They then gave us a new room with a working spa but the balcony was right above there septic tank mushrooms and it stunk of well....... Yuck. So we couldn't enjoy outside or have the door open due to the ghastly smell wafting in. Also small towels. Was not worth the money for this experience. Also there were no plates or knives in the room (there was a kettle, wine glasses, 2 teaspoons and mugs) so we had to ask for reception to bring some up and they provided the tiniest plates.
Pros: Warm welcome from staff on arrival. Apologies made for limited services (restaurant, menu, pool access) due to COVID. Very spacious room with desk and couch. A lot of storage. The spa bath was a nice treat. Great value for money. Great location - easy to get in and out. Heaps of parking which is great for the city.
Cons: The flooring on the 2nd floor felt uneven, and the carpet had patches/holes. Didn't like the coffee - not a nice flavor. Suggest changing brand to Nescafe or Maccona.
Pros: Front desk ladies were lovely, bed was comfy. Room was extremely basic but clean.
Cons: Dissapointed it wasn't made obvious at the time of booking that the property also takes a $100 bond on check in as well as payment for the room. I traveled from AKL for a 30th birthday party dinner which I then couldn't attend, as I had to spend my dinner money on a bond for 1 room. Being on 80% wages due to covid19 i couldn't afford this. Why do they need a bond when I had already paid for the room in full?! The bond was then refunded at check out, before the room was inspected for damage/ missing items, how does that make sense?! It's now 12 hours since I checked out & the funds still aren't in my account. Ruined my weekend, really gutted. Won't stay here again just because of that.
Pros: Staff very welcoming and helpful. Very comfortable bed. Convenient location. Great room service roast dinners available at very reasonable price (especially good during Covid-19)
Cons: A loud pumping sound several times during the night kept us awake.
Pros: comfy bed
Cons: that the room was not serviced at all each day. If we had been told this before we had arrived we would have found another place to stay. no clean towels, or rubbish bins emptied or clean cups. Having to deal with an unexpected bereavement while in Tauranga. With the covid19 virus we would have expected cleanliness to be a priority.Would not recommend this place.
With a stay at Hotel on Devonport, you'll be centrally located in Tauranga, within a 15-minute drive of ASB Baypark and Tauranga Art Gallery. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and express check-out. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Staff go above and beyond to be super helpful...if not for the awesome receptionist i would have rated this stay real low. My family love this hotel and stay here often and will continue to do so
Cons: 1 room was clean but not emptied of the last guest things
Pros: Welcome drink. Location is ok.
Cons: TV too small. They give us a Low level carpark view = no view. No complement water. I found 2 hair on the bed,so I am not sure if thy Change bed line every new customer or not. Empty bottle not clear away in next day room make up.
Pros: Our room was beautiful, it had everything we asked for and more! We especially loved the spa in our room. It was the perfect end of day treat.
Pros: clean, nice decor, great location
Cons: The explanation of key cards and access to carpark
Pros: Lara and Shannon were superb i booked the room as part of our engagement the decorations were on point and despite the fussiness of me and my partner they arranged everything without a hassle perfect place to stay we will be back.
Cons: nothing it was perfect
Pros: The complimentary drink on arrival was great

Cons: The reception and its disorganization.
Pros: The view
Cons: Amazing views. Would definatly stay again.
Pros: The room was very comfortable and very spacious. Great location aswell
Cons: What I didnt like was there was still a rag/ripped white towel in the hotel on entry and no amenities were available.
Pros: The price and location
Cons: The blocked sink and general poor service quality of the plumbing in the bathroom was a bit poor and the empty condom wrapper under the bed and was a nice touch. Out door area really could of done with some TLC, just a bit rough
Cons: Room was quite cold when arrived
Pros: Friendly, welcoming, great location
Cons: Room not serviced, no fresh towels or top up of tea, shampoo etc
Cons: I wasn't aware that all the facilities such as the gym/sauna and pool would be shut. Good location.
With a stay at Seagulls Guesthouse in Mount Maunganui, you'll be near the beach, within a 10-minute drive of ASB Baypark and Blake Park. Featured amenities include express check-out, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Bed comfortable, motel a fair distance from town centre but since I had use of a car, not too much of a problem.
Cons: Advertised bathroom ensuite but only washbasin and toilet ensuite, shower down the passage shared with other rooms.
Pros: Spacious place with large and clean kitchen, and lounge area. Very convenient for me going to Blake Park. It was quiet in the evening.
Cons: The room was really hot and stuffy, but at least there was a fan.
Pros: We had a lovely stay at seagulls. Comfortable rooms and big kitchen for cooking in the evening. Owner very friendly and welcoming. Located a short stroll into town or to the beach.
Pros: Room was clean and bed comfortable. Provided with towels and soap. Sink in the room handy. We stayed in the twin room. Hot shower very nice and good pressure. However more like a wet room. Kitchen and nice lounge for guests to use. Room was warm and comfortable. WiFi was good. Location was good for us. Free parking opposite. Guesthouse seems to be secure and safe. The owner offered us to stay longer and we would consider returning in future.
Cons: The kitchen is not very clean because I think it is up to the guests to do it. There are limited utensils. Staff are not visible in the guesthouse and leave guests to themselves, which can be good and bad depending how you look at it. Check in process could be smoother - we had to call a number and then hear a message about another number and text that number in order to contact the owner. I called as we were waiting outside in the rain but they would not answer the phone. We would be interested in extending our stay to the weekly rate but the owner asked us to pay back the commission which had been paid by booking through booking.com. I thought this was bad practice. The decor is a bit tired and old looking. No hooks in the bathroom or place to put things when having a shower.
Pros: It felt like home the other people were nice and friendly and accepted my grandchildren as well
Cons: There is nothing that I or my children didn’t like about the place
Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms, kitchen and bathrooms
Cons: Only negative I can think of is that the room was relatively small
Pros: Room was cheap.
Cons: 8:30am on a Sunday morning, hammering on the floor above our heads. Staff: "oh yeah, the owner has builders in. (shrug) Nothing we could do."

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Event facilities at this aparthotel consist of a conference center and a meeting room. Cons: Kitchenware was dirty, dark room, could be cheaper.
Pros: Great location near the beach, the Mount and cafes. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a good kitchen. The onsite parking is very handy given the difficulty of street parking.
Cons: No wifi in the rooms.
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Housekeeping could have been better.
Pros: The location is BRILLIANT! The spa bath was very nice.
Cons: It was very warm at night. The walls are very thin.
Pros: location and staff friendly
Cons: Very unclean, lots of dirt in bathroom, especially behind toilet ( brush was covered in dirt) and bath was dirty also the mechanism to operate the shower was faulty and worked finally after a long time of trying to pull out the mechanism that changed the water flow from shower/ bath. Dust on all surfaces in and around the bedroom
Pros: The view was the highlight.
Cons: I'm okay with the place, my bf did not like it.
Pros: Great location. Very clean. Great parking.
Cons: Rather dated decor. No sun. Nowhere to sit and relax. Bed linen needs replacing.

Cons: Nothing...all good
Pros: Good location, clean and good parking.

Pros: Very comfortable room lovely quiet street and nice view
Cons: The walls were thin could here next door quite clearly even snoring during the night
Pros: Location, outlook from room over the water was great
Cons: Bed was too soft, not a fan of the glass tiles to much light gets in through the night. Not dark enough
Pros: The staff was nice, the veiw beautiful and spa was great.
Cons: It was quite unclean (hair in lots of places, water still in the tub and fridge quite dirty) We changed rooms but the second room's bathroom bin was full, there was also some sort of stain on the bed that the staff lady had to clean off for us
Pros: It was clean and view was amazing and central location
Cons: The light at the entrance was shining into the room through the glass brick at night which was a bit annoying, maybe dim it or get a censor light
Pros: Fair sized room and property in reasonable location for easy walk to town.
Cons: Single beds uncomfortable, sheets too 'starched'. Decor is dated but comfortable. Little info at checkin around breakfast ordering times/requirements, etc but accept that COVID made that difficult. Shower very weak pressure - this was really disappointing.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Event facilities at this aparthotel consist of conference space and a meeting room. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Clean and tidy
Cons: Disappointed not to be warned of a massive carpark being constructed directly opposite the balcony, taking the view away. Paying top dollar for a room to look out to a construction site really wasn't what I wanted for a weekend away.
Pros: Everything was perfect... will definitely come back next time....
Pros: It was clean roomy .. close to everything ..
Cons: The bed and pillows were so hard...but everything else was fab
Pros: Room was large and spacious and had a deluxe feel as well as the bathroom and fully contained kitchen.
Cons: I did not like that Quest didn't advise that they only occupied Level 1 of a multistorey apartment complex and the view that I had anticipated was of a half completed parking lot! I think that was sneaky on the part of Quest considering I made a special request when booking the hotel.
Pros: The room was more spacious than i expected and the place was well equipped. Was also very clean and friendly staff on reception.
Cons: Cant say there was much i didnt like. For what we needed it for the room was exceptional.

Cons: No spa or pool
Pros: Beautiful house great location and fdantastic breakfast
Cons: Wifi in rooms wasnt great.
Pros: Great host. Excellent breakfast. Like a B&B.
Cons: Pillows were a bit dodge.
Pros: This B&B is located in an historic home, we were disappointed in our which we booked 6 months prior to arrival, our queen sized bed was pushed up against the wall on one side which creates a great amount of difficulty for guests in their mid 70's we felt it would have been nice to have told about this earlier. The buffet breakfast in the dining room adequate but we felt too much emphasis was placed on the lounge room and sun room which were unused whilst we were there and not enough on the comfort of the bedrooms which is really what guests are paying for.
Cons: A bed that wasn't pushed up against the wall.
Pros: Location for us was great as we just needed somewhere to stay for one night. Short drive to the coast and short walk into town for some dinner.

Pros: unit was at end of row so was nice and quiet. Comfy bed and very handy to hospital where we had appointment the next day. Spacious unit.
Cons: floor coverings and bed covers a bit tired
Pros: The unit was dirty. No lights or plugs in bathroom area. No smoke alarms. Floor sticky. Carperts had bulges in it. No fire extinguishers.
Cons: The state of the room
Pros: We have stayed here before so it is always nice to return to a place you know. It was quiet and we slept well. It is close enough to places we wanted to go, although a car is necessary.
Cons: The motel is looking a little tired but that is because the buildings are older. The garden needed some tidying up.
Pros: Spacious room, clean and tidy. If you are looking for super fancy hotel to stay, this place wouldn't fit the best. But if you're looking for best value for your money, this place could be the one. Easy to park - right in front of your room, staff was super kind.
Cons: Sound proof isn't so good - you can hear someone is coughing from next door.
Pros: The place was very peaceful and the room had all we needed. Was very comfortable. Has off street parking too.
Cons: Shower pressure wasnt the best but was still ok and the tv didnt have normal free to view channels.
With a stay at ArtHouse Accommodation in Tauranga, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of ASB Baypark and Tauranga Art Gallery. Featured amenities include wired Internet access (surcharge), luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
Pros: excellent staff and communication.
Cons: bathroom area
Pros: Super super handy!! nice and clean everything was easy going stress free and homely comfy az
Pros: Considering the price and type of accommodation (backpackers) I was quite surprised by just how nice it was. Very clean / tidy, great staff who are friendly and chill. Quiet accommodation with no drugs/alcohol, no drama just awesome travellers on awesome adventures. Location is great, easy to bus routes and walkable to shops etc.
Cons: The showers could do with a bit more room. Most of them are very small and often run cold but really wants too bad.
Pros: very clean and tidy and friendly staff
Cons: i liked my stay there for 2 nights
Pros: This accommodation is so clean! no bad smell, no bug, when after 11pm, quite silence. so good! Restroom is also clean and a lot of separated space. and, There is near by intercity bus station. you can go to walk!
Cons: They haven't an elevator. so, If you have a big and heavy carrier, you have to carry the bag one upstair. and, it was difficult to me to see burner fire. because it's too small. and, I didn't use laundry, but If you want to use laundry, you should catch the time to do your laundry. They did their blanket laundry around 9~10am.(just I guess)
Pros: The zany decor was kind of fun, I guess. And the air conditioner in the room really cranked out the cold air.
Cons: There's nothing really wrong with it. It's just highly mediocre.
The Pacific Coast Lodge is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. For guests' convenience, airport pickup can be arranged.
Pros: The bed was pretty comfy, and location-wise, it's close to a lot of the bars and restaurants. Be aware this is on the main road so traffic can be noisy. However, I still had a good night's sleep and it was quiet in the hostel itself when I came back at 2am.
Pros: The location is great. As it's walkable to grocery shop, cafe and beach, and the bus stop is in front the hostel.
Cons: The stuff had been away from the reception when I needed a help. Even when it's check out time in the morning. There was loud music in the kitchen, I had to rise my voice to talk. The stuff said it'll stop at 10pm. Lot's of people were chatting and drinking outside of my private room and it was 11pm, so I called a night stuff and he shut off the noises which was so helpful.
Pros: Staff were really helpful and nice. Really nice atmosphere in the hostel and it was close to town.
Cons: The air con didn't work well (blew warm stale air) and the room was quite small and stuffy for 6 people.
Pros: Good location, nice receptionist.
Cons: Nothing, it is what you expect travelers youth, socialising drinking, noise, the down side to that is the only bathroom the morning after..... NASTY
Cons: Tha ways that the staff treat me. They werent clear with they conditions.
Pros: Really kind lady at the reception, helped me with everything I needed, showed me around and even gave me a list of the greatest things to do around.
Cons: I was staying on Friday night (so I'm not sure how it is during the week) but the night was really noisy, it seemed like some of the backpackers were having a party, really loud music and people cheering and singing until around midnight - 1am.
